33. HIS DUA UPON SEEING THE NEW-MOON

71. From Shaykh ±£s¢ in al-Am¡l¢: Narrated from  Mu¦ammad XE "Mu¦ammad"  ibn Hanafaiyya from ~Al¢ XE "~Al¢"  D who said: When the Noble Prophet XE "Holy Prophet"  9 looked at the new-moon, he would raise his hands and say:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ، أَللّٰهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالأَمْنِ وَ الإِيـمَانِ وَ السَّلاَمَةِ وَ الإِسْلاَمِ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ اللّٰهِ.

In the name of All¡h XE "All¡h" . O All¡h! Make it come upon us with harmony and faith, peace and submission (to You). My Lord and your Lord is All¡h.[i]
