(i) Recite
Glory be to He who watches over, never leaves anything undone, or is neglectful Glory be to He who is Merciful, never does a thing in haste. Glory be to He who is vigilant, never forgets one thing over another. Glory be to He who is alert and steady, never is engrossed with a thing so as to overlook another. |
SUBH’AANA MAN HUWA H’AFEEZ’UN LAA YAGFULU SUBH’AANA MAN HUWA RAH’EEMUN LAA YAA’-JALU S’UBH’AANA MAN HUWA QAAA-IMUN LAA YAS-HOO SUBH’AANA MAN HUWA DAAA-IMUN LAA YALHOO
(ii) Recite 7 times :
Glory be to Allah, (all) praise belongs to Allah, there is no god save Allah, and Allah is the greatest. |
SUBH’AANALLAAHI WAL H’AMDULILLAAHI WA LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHU WALLAAHU AKBAR
then say :
Glory
be to Thee, Glory be to Thee, Glory be to Thee, O the Mighty, forgive
my sins, one and all, altogether. |
SUBH’AANAKA SUBH’AANAKA SUBH’AANAKA YAA A’Z’EEM IGHFIRLIYAD’D’AMBAL A’Z’EEM
(iii) say 10 times :
O Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad. |
ALLAAHUMMA S’ALLI A’LAA MUH’AMMADIN’W WA AALI MUH’AMMAD

sub¦¡na man huwa ¦af¢¨un l¡ yaghfulu |
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ حَفِيظٌ لاَ يَغْفُلُ |
Glory be to Him Who is Merciful, never does a thing in haste. |
sub¦¡na man huwa ra¦¢mun l¡ ya`jalu |
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ رَحِيمٌ لاَ يَعْجَلُ |
Glory be to Him Who is vigilant, never forgets one thing over another. |
sub¦¡na man huwa q¡'imun l¡ yas-h£ |
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ لاَ يَسْهُو |
Glory be to Him Who is alert and steady, never is engrossed with a thing so as to overlook another. |
sub¦¡na man huwa d¡'imun l¡ yalh£ |
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ دَائِمٌ لاَ يَلْهُو |
After that, it is recommended to say the al-Tasbat al-Arba`ah (the Four Statements of Glorification):
All glory be to Allah, |
sub¦¡na all¡hi |
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ |
all praise be to Allah, |
wal¦amdu lill¡hi |
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ |
there is no god save Allah, |
wa l¡ il¡ha ill¡ all¡hu |
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ |
and Allah is the Greatest. |
wall¡hu akbaru |
وَٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ |
Then, it is recommended to say the following imploration for forgiveness:
Glory be to You! Glory be to You! Glory be to You! |
sub¦¡naka sub¦¡naka sub¦¡naka! |
سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ! |
O All-great, forgive my grave sins. |
y¡ `a¨¢mu ighfir liya aldhdhanba al`a¨¢ma |
يَا عَظِيمُ ٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذَّنْبَ ٱلْعَظِيمَ |
Then, it is recommended to invoke blessings upon the Holy Prophet and his Household ten times:
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and upon his Household. |
all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa `al¡ ¡lih¢ |
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ |
Almighty Allah will forgive seventy thousand sins of those who offer this prayer in the previous form.
Different ways of offering this prayer has been mentioned According to the report of Ibn Abi-Qurrah from Imam Mu¦ammad al-Jaw¡d (`a) that is also adopted by Shaykh al-Muf¢d in his book of al-Ghariyyah wa’l-Ashr¡f, this prayer, , is offered as follows:
-First 20 nights, 20 rakat each night = 400 ie-->> After Magrib 4 units X 2each = 8 Rakat , + After isha 6 Units X 2 each = 12 Rakat
-Last 10 nights 30 rakat each night ie -->>After Magrib 4 units X 2 each = 8 Rakat , + After isha 11 Units X 2 each = 22 Rakat
-3 Qadr Nights 100 rakats each night = 300
This dua is recited after each 2 units
Dua Allahumma Inni Asaluka an Taj'ala للّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَل

O Allah, I beseech You to decide for me |
all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka an taj`ala f¢m¡ taq¤¢ wa tuqaddiru |
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اسْالُكَ انْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ |
while taking decisions and rendering possible things and events decisively— |
min al-amri alma¦t£mi f¢ al-amri al¦ak¢mi |
مِنَ ٱلامْرِ ٱلْمَحْتُومِ فِي ٱلامْرِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ |
decisions which can not be changed or bypassed— |
min alqa¤¡'i alladh¢ l¡ yuraddu wa l¡ yubaddalu |
مِنَ ٱلْقَضَاءِ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُرَدُّ وَلاَ يُبَدَّلُ |
to write my name in the list of those pilgrims of Your Holy House |
an taktuban¢ min ¦ujj¡ji baytika al¦ar¡mi |
انْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْحَرَامِ |
whose pilgrimage receives Your approval, |
almabr£ri ¦ajjuhum |
ٱلْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمُ |
whose efforts are appreciated, |
almashk£ri sa`yuhum |
ٱلْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ |
whose sins are forgiven, |
almaghf£ri dhun£buhum |
ٱلْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ |
whose wrongdoings are overlooked, |
almukaffari `an sayyi'¡tihim |
ٱلْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ |
and, while making decisions and rendering possible things and events, |
wa an taj`ala f¢m¡ taq¤¢ wa tuqaddiru |
وَانْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ |
make possible for me long life, goodness, welfare, |
an tu§¢la `umr¢ f¢ khayrin wa `¡fiyatin |
انْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرِي فِي خَيْرٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ |
and enough means of livelihood, |
wa tuwassi`a f¢ rizq¢ |
وَتُوَسِّعَ في رِزْقِي |
include me with those whom You use for backing Your Religion, |
wa taj`alan¢ mimman tanta¥iru bih¢ lid¢nika |
وَتَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ تَنْتَصِرُ بِهِ لِدِينِكَ |
and do not substitute another in my place. |
wa l¡ tastabdil b¢ ghayr¢ |
وَلاَ تَسْتَبْدِلْ بِي غَيْرِي |
