السلام عليك يا إمام الهدى

assalaamo a’layka ya imaamul hodaa.. 
Peace be on you, O Imam of Sound advice!

 السلام عليك يا بدر الدجى

assalaamo a’layka yaa badaraddojaa
Peace be on you, O moon in Darkness !

السلام عليك يا كهف التقى

 assalaamo a’layka yaa kahfat toqaa.. 
Peace be on you, O shelter Of piety!  

 السلام عليك يا قائد أهل التقوى

assalaamo a’layka yaa qaaeda ahlit taqwaa 
Peace be on you, O leader of Pious ones!

 السلام عليك يا باقر علم النبيين

assalaamo a’layka yaa baaqera i’lmin nabiyyeena 
Peace be on you, O revealer Of the knowledge of Prophets!

السلام عليك يا زين السموات والأرضين ،

assalaamo a’layka yaa zainas samaawaate wal arazeena
Peace be on you, O prestige Of the skies & the earths!

 اللهم كما جعلته علما

 allaahumma kamaa jaaltahoo a’laman
O Allah! In The same way as You made Him as the protector of Your beings

لعبادك ومستودعا لحلمك ومترجما

lee’baadeka wa mustawda-a’n lehilmeka wa motarjeman 
and the Trustee of Your tolerance And the translator of Your messages,

لوحيك فصلي عليه أفضل ما صليت

le wahyeka fasalle alaihe afzala maa sallayyta.. 
Send the Choicest blessings on him-blessings sent by You

على أحد من ذرية أنبيائك وأصفيائك

a’la ahadim min zurriyate ambeyaaeka wa asfeyaaeka..
On the descendants of Your Prophets and on Your select Beings &

ورسلك وأمنائك يا رب العلمين

wa rosoleka wa omanaaeka yaa rabbal a’alameen ..
on Your Apostles and on Your trustees. O Lord of the Worlds!

Another form of Ziarat

لسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا البَاقِرُ لِعِلْمِ اللَّهِ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الفَاحِصُ عَنْ دِينِ اللَّهِ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا المُبَيِّنُ لِحُكْمِ اللَّهِ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا القَائِمُ بِقسْطِ اللَّهِ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّاصِحُ لِعبَادِ اللَّهِ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الدَّاعِي إِلَى اللَّهِ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الدَّلِيلُ إِلَى اللَّهِ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الفَضْلُ المُبِينُ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النُّورُ السَّاطِعُ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا البَدْرُ اللامِعُ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الحَقُّ الأَبْلَجُ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا السِّراجُ الأَسْرَجُ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّجْمُ الأَزْهَرُ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الكَوْكَبُ الأَبْهَرُ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا المُنَزَّهُ عَنِ المُعْضِلاتِ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا المَعْصُومُ مِنَ الَزَّلاتِ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الزَّكِيُّ في الحَسَبِ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّفِيعُ في النَّسَبِ .
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الإِمَامُ الشَّفِيقُ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا القَصْرُ المَشِيدُ . السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِينَ .
أَشْهَدُ يَا مَوْلايَ أَنَّكَ قَدْ صَدَعْتَ الحَقَّ صَدْعاً ، وَبَقَرْتَ العِلْمَ بَقْراً ، وَنَثَرْتَهُ نَثْراً ، لَمْ تَأَخُذْكَ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لائِمٍ ،
وَكُنْتَ لِدِينِ اللَّهِ مُكَاتِماً ، وَقَضَيْتَ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ ، وَأَخْرَجْتَ أَوْلِيَاءَكَ مِنْ وِلايَةِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ إِلى وِلايَةِ اللََّهِ ، وَأَمَرْتَ بِطَاعَةِ اللَّهِ ، وَنَهَيْتَ عَنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ ،
حَتَّى قَبَضَكَ اللَّهُ إلى رِضْوَانِهِ ، وَذَهَبَ بِكَ إِلَى دَارِ كَرَامَتِهِ ، وَإِلَى مَسَاكِنِ أَصْفِيَائِهِ ، وَمُجَاوَرَةِ أَوْلِيَائِهِ .
وَالسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه

Salawat

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadi ibni `aliyyin
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad the son of `Ali

بَاقِرِ ٱلْعِلْمِ وَإِمَامِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

baqiri al`ilmi wa imami alhuda
the splitter of knowledge, the leader to true guidance,

وَقَائِدِ اهْلِ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ

wa qa'idi ahli alttaqwai
the chief of the people of piety,

وَٱلْمُنْتَجَبِ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ

walmuntajabi min `ibadika
and the superbly selected from among Your servants.

اَللَّهُمَّ وَكَمَا جَعَلْتَهُ عَلَماً لِعِبَادِكَ

allahumma wa kama ja`altahu `alaman li`ibadika
O Allah, as You have made him sign for Your servants,

وَمَنَاراً لِبِلاَدِكَ

wa manaran libiladika
lantern in Your lands,

وَمُسْتَوْدَعاً لِحِكْمَتِكَ

wa mustawda`an lihikmatika
depot of Your wisdom,

وَمُتَرْجِماً لِوَحْيِكَ

wa mutarjiman liwahyika
and interpreter of Your revelations,

وَامَرْتَ بِطَاعَتِهِ

wa amarta bita`atihi
and You ordered (us) to obey him,

وَحَذَّرْتَ عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِهِ

wa hadhdharta `an ma`siyatihi
warned (us) against disobeying him;

فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ يَا رَبِّ

fasalli `alayhi ya rabbi
so also (please), O Lord, send blessings upon him

افْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ احَدٍ

afdala ma sallayta `ala ahadin
with the most excellent blessings that You have ever sent upon any

مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ انْبِيَاءِكَ وَاصْفِيَاءِكَ

min dhurriyyati anbiya'ika wa asfiya'ika
of the offspring of Your Prophets, Elite Ones,

وَرُسُلِكَ وَامَنَائِكَ

wa rusulika wa umana'ika
Messengers, and trustees.

يَا رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

ya rabba al`alamina
O Lord of the worlds!

Imam al-Baqir’(as)s Prayer on Fridays

This prayer consists of two units in each of which Surah al-Fatiah is recited once and the following litany is repeated one hundred times:

---

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ

subhana allahi
All glory be to Allah,

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

walhamdu lillahi
all praise be to Allah,

وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

wa la ilaha illa allahu
there is no god save Allah,

وَٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ

wallahu akbaru
and Allah is the Greatest.

Imam al-Baqir’s(as) Supplication

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اسْالُكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka
O Allah, I beseech You,

يَا حَلِيمُ ذُو انَاةٍ

ya halimun dhu anatin
O Indulgent, Forbearing,

غَفُورٌ وَدُودٌ

ghafurun wadudun
Forgiving, and Loving-kind,

انْ تَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِي وَمَا عِنْدِي

an tatajawaza `an sayyi'aty wa ma `indi
to overlook my sins and what I have had,

بِحُسْنِ مَا عِنْدَكَ

bihusni ma `indaka
out of the excellence of what You have,

وَانْ تُعْطِيَنِي مِنْ عَطَائِكَ مَا يَسَعُنِي

wa an tu`tiyani min `ata'ika ma yasa`uni
to give me, out of Your giving, that which suffices me,

وَتُلْهِمَنِي فيمَا اعْطَيْتَنِي ٱلْعَمَلَ فيهِ

wa tulhimani fima a`taytani al`amala fihi
to inspire me to act upon what You have given me;

بِطَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُولِكَ

bita`atika wa ta`ati rasulika
that is to obey You and to obey Your Messenger,

وَانْ تُعْطِيَنِي مِنْ عَفْوِكَ

wa an tu`tiyani min `afwika
and to give me part of Your pardon

مَا اسْتَوْجِبُ بِهِ كَرَامَتَكَ

ma astawjibu bihi karamataka
so much so that I ought to have Your honoring.

اَللَّهُمَّ اعْطِنِي مَا انْتَ اهْلُهُ

allahumma a`tini ma anta ahluhu
O Allah, (please) grant me that which befits You

وَلاَ تَفْعَلْ بِي مَا انَا اهْلُهُ

wa la taf`al bi ma ana ahluhu
and do not do to me that which I deserve.

فَإنَّمَا انَا بِكَ

fa'innama ana bika
Verily, I exist through You

وَلَمْ اصِبْ خَيْراً قَطُّ إِلاَّ مِنْكَ

wa lam usib khayran qattu illa minka
and I have never been given any good thing from any source except You.

يَا ابْصَرَ ٱلابْصَرِينَ

ya absara al-absarina
O He Who is the best Seer of all those who can see!

وَيَا اسْمَعَ ٱلسَّامِعِينَ

wa ya asma`a alssami`ina
O He Who is the best Hearer of all those who can hear!

وَيَا احْكَمَ ٱلْحَاكِمِينَ

wa ya ahkama alhakimina
O He Who is the Justest of all those who judge!

وَيَا جَارَ ٱلْمُسْتَجِيرِينَ

wa ya jara almustajirina
O He Who aids those who seek His aid!

وَيَا مُجِيبَ دَعْوَةِ ٱلْمُضْطَرِّينَ

wa ya mujiba da`wati almudtarrina
O He Who responds to the prayer of the oppressed!

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
