Ziyārat Imam Ḥusayn every Friday night and day
Akhṭab Khwārazm narrated from Kaʿb al-Aḥbār that he said in a long hadith about battles and tribulations: "Indeed, al-Ḥusayn (peace be upon him) will be killed in the plains of Karbala, and the angels in the heavens will weep for him... And the place where he is buried is the best of places... And there is no prophet who did not visit it and weep for it. Every day, it is visited by angels with greetings. When it is the night of Friday or the day of Friday, seventy thousand [angels] descend to visit him and weep for him, and mention his virtue and status among them... The narrator said: I met Salmān al-Fārisī and told him this hadith, and Salmān said: Kaʿb has told you the truth."
As-Sayyid Ibn Ṭāwūs mentioned some stories related to the visitation of al-Ḥusayn (peace be upon him) on the nights of Fridays.
Al-ʿAllāmah al-Majlisī mentioned among the recommended acts for the night of Friday that it is recommended to supplicate with the supplication of the oppressed at the grave of Abī ʿAbdillāh al-Ḥusayn (peace be upon him) and it is:
Allāhumma innī aʿtazzu bi-dīnik,
O Allah, I take pride in Your religion,
Wa akramu bi-hidāyatik,
And I honor Your guidance,
Wa fulān yunadhilnī bi-sharrih,
And so-and-so humiliates me with his evil,
Wa yuhīnī bi-adhiya'tih,
And insults me with his harm,
Wa yaʿībunī bi-wilā’ awliyā’ik,
And criticizes me for my loyalty to Your friends,
Wa yabhatunī bi-daʿwāh,
And slanders me with his claims,
Wa qad ji’thu ilā mawḍiʿ ad-duʿāʾ wa ḍamānik al-ijābah,
And I have come to the place of supplication and Your assurance of response,
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa āl Muḥammad,
O Allah, bless Muḥammad and the family of Muḥammad,
Wa aʿdinī ʿalayhi as-sāʿah - as-sāʿah -
And defend me against him immediately - immediately.
Then he leans over the grave and says:
Mawlāy imāmī,
My master, my Imam,
Maẓlūmun istaʿda ʿalā ẓālimih,
The oppressed seeks aid against his oppressor,
An-naṣra an-naṣra - ḥattā tanqaṭiʿ an-nafas
Victory, victory - until the breath stops.
Al-Ḥājj ʿAlī al-Baghdādī narrated in the mention of his honorable meeting with the Imam of the time (may Allah hasten his noble relief) that the proof, the Qa’im (may Allah hasten his noble relief) said: "Yes, visiting al-Ḥusayn (peace be upon him) on the night of Friday is safety from the fire on the Day of Judgment."
Shaykh aṭ-Ṭūsī said: "It is recommended to visit Abī ʿAbdillāh al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī (peace be upon them) like this (i.e., for those who want to visit him while in their homeland) after performing ghusl - on Friday - and ascending to the roof of his house or in a vast area of the earth, and gesture towards him with peace, and say:
As-salāmu ʿalayk yā mawlāya wa sayyidī wa ibn sayyidī,
Peace be upon you, O my master and my lord and son of my lord,
As-salāmu ʿalayk yā mawlāya wa ibn mawlāya,
Peace be upon you, O my master and son of my master,
Yā qatīl ibn al-qatīl,
O one slain, son of the one slain,

Ash-shahīd ibn ash-shahīd,
The martyr, son of the martyr,
As-salāmu ʿalayk wa raḥmat Allāh wa barakātuh,
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings,
Anā zā’iruka yā ibn Rasūl Allāh,
I am visiting you, O son of the Messenger of Allah,
Bi-qalbī wa lisānī wa jawāriḥī,
With my heart, my tongue, and my limbs,
Wa in lam azurka bi-nafsī wa al-mushāhadah li-qubbatik,
And if I did not visit you in person and see your dome,
As-salāmu ʿalayk yā wāriṭa Ādam ṣafwat Allāh,
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam, the chosen one of Allah,
Wa wāriṭa Nūḥ nabī Allāh,
And inheritor of Noah, the prophet of Allah,
Wa wāriṭa Ibrāhīm khalīl Allāh,
And inheritor of Abraham, the friend of Allah,
Wa wāriṭa Mūsā kalīm Allāh,
And inheritor of Moses, the one who spoke to Allah,
Wa wāriṭa ʿĪsā rūḥ Allāh,
And inheritor of Jesus, the spirit of Allah,
Wa wāriṭa Muḥammad ḥabīb Allāh wa nabīyih wa rasūlih,
And inheritor of Muhammad, the beloved of Allah and His prophet and messenger,
Wa wāriṭa ʿAlī Amīr al-Mu’minīn,
And inheritor of ʿAlī, the Commander of the Faithful,
Wa waṣī Rasūl Allāh wa khalīfatih,
And successor of the Messenger of Allah and his caliph,
Wa wāriṭa al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī waṣī Amīr al-Mu’minīn,
And inheritor of al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī, the successor of the Commander of the Faithful,
May Allah curse those who killed you and renew the punishment upon them in this moment and in every moment,
Anā yā sayyidī mutaqarrib ilā Allāh taʿālā,
I am, O my master, seeking closeness to Allah, the Exalted,
Wa ilā jaddika Rasūl Allāh,
And to your grandfather, the Messenger of Allah,
Wa ilā abīka Amīr al-Mu’minīn,
And to your father, the Commander of the Faithful,
Wa ilā akhīka al-Ḥasan,
And to your brother, al-Ḥasan,
Wa ilayk yā mawlāya,
And to you, O my master,
ʿAlayk salām Allāh wa raḥmatuh,
Upon you be the peace of Allah and His mercy,
Bi-ziyāratī laka bi-qalbī wa lisānī wa jamīʿ jawāriḥī,
With my visit to you with my heart, my tongue, and all my limbs,
Fa-kun yā sayyidī shafīʿī li-qabūl dhālika minnī,
So be, O my master, my intercessor for the acceptance of that from me,
Wa anā bi-l-barāʾah min aʿdāʾik wa al-laʿnah lahum wa ʿalayhim,
And I disassociate myself from your enemies and curse them and upon them,
At-taqarrub bi-dhālika ilā Allāh taʿālā wa ilaykum ajmaʿīn,
I seek closeness through that to Allah, the Exalted, and to all of you,
Fa-ʿalayk ṣalawāt Allāh wa riḍwānuh wa raḥmatuh.
So upon you be the blessings of Allah, His pleasure, and His mercy.
Then turn a little to your left, and turn your face to the grave of ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn, for he is at the feet of his father (peace be upon them), and greet him in the same way, then supplicate to Allah with whatever you love for your religious and worldly affairs. And pray four rak'ahs of the prayer of visitation, or six rak'ahs, or eight rak'ahs - which is the best - and the least is two rak'ahs. Then face towards the grave of Abī ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him), and say:
Anā muwaddiʿuka yā mawlāya wa ibn mawlāya wa sayyidī wa ibn sayyidī,
I am bidding you farewell, O my master and son of my master and my lord and son of my lord,
Wa muwaddiʿuka yā sayyidī wa ibn sayyidī yā ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn,
And I bid you farewell, O my lord and son of my lord, O ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn,
Wa muwaddiʿukum yā sādātī yā maʿshar ash-shuhadā’,
And I bid you farewell, O my lords, O group of martyrs,
Fa-ʿalaykum salām Allāh wa raḥmatuh wa barakātuh wa riḍwānuh
So upon you be the peace of Allah, His mercy, His blessings, and His pleasure.
