Supplication 77-81 Martyrdom .Enemy reform
Dua 77-81 from Sahifa Alavia by Imam Ali(as)

77. His supplication for desiring martyrdom in the way of Allah
Allāhumma innaka ‘amilta sabīlan min subulika faja‘alta fīhi riḍāka
O Allah, You have made a path from Your paths, and You have placed Your pleasure in it,

wa nadayta ilayhi awliyā’ika wa ja‘altahū ashrafa sabīlika ‘indanā thawāban
And You have called Your allies to it, and You have made it the most honorable of Your paths in reward with us,

wa akramihā ladayka bāban wa aḥabbihā ilayka maslakan
And the most generous of them as a door with You, and the most beloved of them as a course to You,

thummashtarayta fīhi minal-mu’minīna anfusahum wa amwālahum bi’anna lahumul-jannah
Then You have purchased in it from the believers their souls and their wealth, in exchange for Paradise being theirs.

yuqātilūna fī sabīlillāhi fayaqtulūna wa yuqtalūna wa‘dan ‘alayka ḥaqqan
They fight in the way of Allah, so they kill and are killed – a promise upon You [which is] truth

fī al-tawrāti wal-injīli wal-qur’āni faj‘alnī mimmanishtarā fīhi minka nafsah
In the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. So make me from those who purchase in it their souls from You,

thumma wafā laka bibay‘ihil-ladhī bāya‘aka ‘alayhi ghayra nākibin wa lā nāqiṣin ‘ahdan
Then fulfill to You their sale that they have pledged to You, without deviating or diminishing a covenant,

wa lā mubaddilin tabdīlan illā istinjāzan limaw‘idika wastiḥbāban limuḥabbatika wa taqarruban ilayk
And without changing any change, except in seeking the fulfillment of Your promise and preferring Your love and drawing near to You.

Faṣalli ‘alā muḥammadin wa ālih, waj‘al khātimata ‘amalī dhālik
So send blessings upon Muhammad and his family. And make that the conclusion of my deeds,

warzuqnī laka wa bika mashhadan tūjibu lī bihir-riḍā wa taḥuṭṭu ‘annī bihil-khaṭāyā
And grant me, for You and through You, a scene that necessitates for me contentment and removes from me sins,

waj‘alnī fil-aḥyā’il-marzūqīna bi’aydil-‘udāti al-‘uṣāti taḥta liwā’il-ḥaqq
And make me among the living, those provided for by the hands of enemies, the disobedient, under the banner of truth

wa rāyatil-hudā māḍiyan ‘alā nuṣratihim qidman ghayra muwallin duburan wa lā muḥaddithin shakkan
And the banner of guidance, proceeding in their support in advance, without turning back and without creating doubt,

wa a‘ūdhu bika ‘inda dhālika minadh-dhanbil-muḥīṭi lil-a‘māl
And I seek refuge with You at that time from the sin that encompasses deeds.

78. His supplication for reforming his enemies
Bismil Laahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Allaahummah Qin Demaaa-Enaa Wa Demaaa-Ahum, Wa Asleh Zaata Baynanaa Wa Baynahum, Wa Ahdehim Min Zalaalatehim, Hattaa Ya’refal Haqqa Man Jahelahu, Wa Yar-A’weya Menal Ghayye Wal U’dwaane Wa Man Laheja Behi.
O Allah! Save our blood and their blood, produce reconciliation between us and them, and lead them out of their misguidance so that he who is ignorant of the truth may know it, and he who inclines towards rebellion and revolt may turn away from it.

79. His supplication when he extorted people for the war of Siffin and when people did not respond, he supplicated as under:
Bismil Laahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Allaahumma Ayyomaa A’bdin Min E’baadeka Same-A’ Maqaalatanal A’adelta Ghayral Jaaa-Erate, Wal Muslehate Fid Deene Wad Dunyaa Ghayral Mufsedate, Fa-Abaa Ba’da Sam-E’hi Lahaa Illannokoosa A’n Nusrateka, Wal Ibtaaa-A A’laa E-A’zaaze Deeneka, Fa-Innaa Nastash-Hedoka A’layhe Yaa Akbarash Shaahedeena Sha-Haadatan, Wa Nastash-Hedo A’layhe Jamee-A’ Maa Askantahu Arzaka Wa Samaa-Waateka, Summa Anta Ba’dul Ghaniyyo A’n Nasrehi, Wal Aakhezo Lahu Be-Zanbehi.
O Allah! Whoever listens to our utterance which is just and which seeks the prosperity of religion and the worldly life and does not seek mischief, but rejects it after listening, then he certainly turns away from Your support and desists from strengthening Your religion. We make You a witness over him and You are the greatest of all witnesses, and we make all those who inhabit Your earth and Your skies witness over him. Thereafter, You alone can make us needless of his support and question him for his sin.

more compressed than the skin of the camel, render him deaf, blind and thoughtless. Or like utter darkness in the deep sea: there covers it a wave above which is another wave, above which is a cloud, (layers of) utter darkness one above another; when he holds out his hand, he is almost unable to see it; and to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.

Write Ayatul Kursi and hang it for three days near his residence. By the will of Allah that person would return soon.
