Allaahumma Inna A’fwaka A’n Zanbee Wa Tajaawozaka An Khatee-Atee Wa Saf-Haka An A’zeeme Jurmee Feemaa Kaana Min Khataa-Ee Wa A’madi Atma-A’nee Fee An As-Aloka Maa Laa Astawjebohu Minkal Lazee Razaqtanee Min Qudrateka Wa Rahmateka Wa Araytanee Min Qudrateka Wa A’rraftanee Min Ejaabateka Fasirto Ad-O’oka Aamenan Wa As-Aloka Mustaanesan Laa Khaa-Efan Wa Laa Wajelan Modillan A’layka Feemaa Qasadto Feehe Elayka Fa-In Abta-A A’nnee A A’tabto Be-Jahlee A’layka Wa La-A’llal Lazee Ab-Ta-A A’nnee Howa Khayrun Lee Le-I’lmeka Be-A’aqebatil Omoore Falam Ara Mawlan Kareeman Asbara A’laa A’bdin La-Eemim Minka Yaa Rabbe Innaka Ta-O’onee Fa-Owalleya A’nka Wa Tata-Habbabo Elayya Fa-Atabaghghazo Elayka Wa Atawaddado Elayya Falaa Aqbalo Minka Ka-Anna Leyat Ta-Tawwola A’layka Summa Lam Yamna’ka Zaaleka Menat Ta-A’ttofe A’layya War Rahmate Lee Wal Ehsaane Elayya Far-Ham A’bdokal Khaatea (Folaan Ibno Folaanin) A’layya Be-Fazleka Innaka Jawaadun Kareem.
O Allah! I ask You some of my poverty upon which I greatly depend while You are needless of them since eternity, they are a lot for me, but for You it is very easy and simple. O Allah! Surely Your forgiveness of my sins, Your overlooking of my mistakes, Your forgiveness of my great crimes which were committed either due to negligence or wilfuly. Provide me hope to ask from You of that which I am not worthy of. You have sustained me due to Your Power and Your Mercy shown me of Your Power and introduced me by Your response (to my prayers). Then I have come calling You, believing in You, and I ask You as a close acquaintance, neither fearful nor afraid, having faith upon You whenever I turn to You concerning it. I blame my ignorance about You for this delay. And perhaps whatever is delayed in my matter is better for me, for You know about the consequences of the affairs. Then I did not see an Honourable Master more patient to His disgraceful servant than You. O Lord! You call me but I turn away from You, You care to love me but I am bent upon hating You. You want to show Your affections for me but I do not accept it from You as if I am obliging You. Then this should not prevent You from bestowing (Your) Affection, Mercy, goodness, and grace upon me. Then have mercy on Your sinful servant (here take your name with your fathers name e.g. Zaid son of Ali) with Your grace. Certainly You are Generous, Honourable.
