Supplication 144- Day 21 of the month from Al-Sahifa e Alaviya
بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ
allaahummaj a’lnee menal lazeena yoamenoona bilghaybe
O Allah! Make me of those who believe in the Unseen;
وَ يُقيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْناهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
wa yoqeemoonas salaata wa mimmaa razaqnaahum yunfeqoona,
establish prayer and give in charity of that which you have bestowed on them.
waj a’lnee a’laa hodan
Guide me to the right path.
وَ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الْمُهْتَدينَ
waj a’lnee menal mohtadeena
Reckon me as one of those who have received guidance from You.
وَ لَقِّنِى الْكَلِماتِ الَّتي لَقَّنْتَها ادَمَ فَتُبْتَ عَلَيْهِ
wa laqqenil kalemaatil latee laqqantahaa aadama fatubta a’layhe
Teach me those words which You taught to Adam whereby his repentance was granted.
اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحيمُ
innaka antat tawwaabur raheem.
Doubtless You are Belenting and Merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِمَّنْ يُقيمُ الصَّلاةَ
allaahummaj a’lnee mimman yoqeemus salaata
O Allah! Reckon me amongst those who establish prayer,
وَ يُؤتِى الزَّكاةَ وَ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الْخاشِعينَ
wa yoatiz zakaata, waj a’lnee menal khaashe-e’enal,
and pay Zakaat; regard me as one of those humble people
الَّذينَ يَسْتَعينُونَ بِالصَّبْرِ وَ الصَّلاةِ
lazeenayasta-e’eenoonabis sabre was salaate,
who seek Your help with patience and prayers.
وَ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذين لا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ لا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
waj a’lnee menal lazeena laa khawfun a’layhim wa laa hum yahzanoon.
Reckon me amongst those who have no fear and grief.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الصَّابِرينَ الَّذينَ
allaahummaj a’lnee menas saabereenal lazeena
O Allah! Take me as one of those who act with patience
اِذا اَصابَتْهُمْ مُصيبَةٌ
ezaa asaabathum moseebatun
and when any calamity befalls them,
قالُوا اِنَّا لِلهِ وَ اِنَّا اِلَيْهِ راجِعُونَ
qaaloo innaa lillaahe wa innaa elayhe raajeo’on.
they say: Verily we are from Allah and to Him we shall return.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَل عَلَىَّ مِنْكَ صَلاةً وَ رَحْمَةً
allaahummaj a’l a’layya minka salaatan wa rahmatan,
Send Your Blessings and Peace on me
وَ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الْمُهْتَدينَ
waj a’lnee menal mohtadeen.
and reckon me amongst those who have been guided aright.
اَللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْني بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ
allaahumma sabbitnee bil-qawlis saabete
O Allah! Keep me steadfast in my belief
فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيا وَ فِي الْاخِرَةِ
fil hayaatid dunyaa wa fil aakherate,
in the life here as well as in the life of Hereafter
وَ لا تَجْعَلْني مِنَ الظَّالِمينَ
wa laa taja’lnee menaz zaalemeen.
and reckon me not amongst the unjust one.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ
allaahummaj a’lnee menal lazeena
O Allah! Regard me as one of those
تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ طَيِّبينَ
tatawaffaahomul malaa-ekato tayyebeena
whom the angels take away from this world in a good state
يَقُولُونَ سَلامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ
yaqooloona salaamun a’laykum tibtum,
and the Angels while receiving them will say : Peace be on You;
اُدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِما كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
udkholoohal jannata bemaa kuntum ta’maloon.
enter you the garden of Paradise for what you were doing.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ صَبَرُوا
allaahummaj a’lnee menal lazeena sabaroo
O Allah ! Make me on of those who have shown patience
وَ عَلى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
wa a’laa rabbehim yatawakkaloon.
and who trust their Allah.
اَللَّهُمَّ اتِني فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
allaahumma aatenee fid dunyaa hasanatan wa fil aakherate hasanatan,
O Allah! Grant me god in this world and good in the Hereafter,
wa qenee a’zaaban naar,
save me from the torment of the Hell-fire
وَ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ اتَّقَوْا
waj a’lnee menal lazeenat taqaw
and regard me as one of those who guarded themselves
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ مُحْسِنُونَ
wal lazeena hum mohsenoon,
and as one of the virtuous ones.
سُبْحانَكَ اِنّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمينَ
subhaanaka innee kunto menaz zaalemeen,
Glory be to You, verily I was of the unjust ones.
فَاسْتَجِبْ لي وَ نَجِّني مِنَ النَّارِ يا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ
fas-tajib lee, wa najjenee menan naare yaa arhamar raahemeen.
Accept my invocation and save me from the Hell-fire, O the Most Merciful!
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الْمُخْبِتينَ الَّذينَ
allaahumma waj a’lnee menal mohseneenal lazeena
O Allah! Make me one of the virtuous who,
اِذا ذُكِرَ اللهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ
ezaa zokeral laaho wajelat qoloobohum
when Allah is mentioned, their hearts get thrilled with awe of His Glory
وَ الصَّابِرينَ عَلى ما اَصابَهُمْ
was saabereena a’laa maa asaabahum
and remain steadfast on what befalls them
وَ الْمُقيمِي الصَّلاةِ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْناهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
wal moqeemis salaate wa mimmaa razaqnaahum yunfeqoon.
and the establishers of prayers and of what we have provided them with they spend benevolently.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ هُمْ في صَلاتِهِمْ خاشِعُونَ
allaahummaj a’lnee menal lazeena hum fee salaatehim khaasheo’ona,
O Allah! Make me one of those who in their prayers are humble,
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ
wal lazeena hum a’nil laghwe mo’rezoona,
and who keep themselves aloof from what is vain,
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكاةِ فاعِلُونَ
wal lazeena hum lizzakaate faa-e’loon,
and those who act for purification,
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حافِظُونَ اِلاَّ عَلى اَزْواجِهِمْ
wal lazeena hum leforoojehim haafezoona illaa a’laa azwaajehim
and those who guard their private parts except from their wives,
اَوْ ما مَلَكَتْ اَيْمانُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومينَ
aw maa malakat aymaanohum fa-innahum ghayro maloomeen.
or those whom their right hands possess for them.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ هُمْ لِاَماناتِهِمْ
allaahumma waj a’lnee menal lazeena hum lethis amaanaatehim
O Allah! Reckon me amongst those who keep their trust,
wa a’hdehim raa-o’ona,
verily they are not blamable.
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ بِشَهاداتِهِمْ قائِمُونَ
wal lazeena hum beshahaadaatehim qaaemoona,
And make me one of those who keep well their trust, and honour their promises
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ عَلى صَلَواتِهِمْ يُحافِظُونَ
wal lazeena hum a’laa salawaatehim yohaafezeen.
and those who take care of the regularity in their prayers.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الْوارِثينَ
allaahummaj a’lnee menal waareseenal
O Allah! Make me of those who are the heirs
الَّذينَ يَرِثُون الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فيها خالِدُونَ
lazeena yaresoonal firdawsa hum feehaa khaaledoon,
who inherit Paradise; they shall abide therein
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ مُشْفِقُونَ
wal lazeena hum min khasyateka mushfeqoon.
and those who are afraid of Your fear.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ جَعَلْتَني
allaahumma innaka jaa’ltanee
O Allah! You have included me
مِنَ الَّذينَ هُمْ بِاياتِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ
menal lazeena hum be-aayaateka yoamenoon,
amongst those who believe in Your sings
وَ الَّذينَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لايُشْرِكُونَ
wal lazeena hum berabbehim laa yushrekoon,
and of those who associate not anything with their Lord.
فَاجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذين يُؤْتُونَ ما اتَوْا
faj-a’lnee menal lazeena yoatoona maa aataw
O Allah! You therefore include me also amongst those who give in charity
وَ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ اَنَّهُمْ اِلى رَبِّهِمْ راجِعُونَ
wa qoloobohum wajelatun annahum elaa rabbehim raajeo’on.
while their hearts thrilled for fear that to their Lord they mist return.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ يُسارِعُونَ
allaahummaj a’lanee menal lazeena yosaare-o’ona
O Allah! Make me of those who hasten
فِي الْخَيْراتِ وَ هُمْ لَها سابِقُونَ
fil khayraate wa hum lahaa saabeqoon.
to good things and they are the foremost to attain them.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنْ حِزْبِكَ
allaahummaj a’lnee min hizbeka
O Allah! Include me in Your party,
فَاِنَّ حِزْبَكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
fa-inna hizbaka homul muflehoon.
verily Your party, shall alone be successful.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنْ جُنْدِكَ
allaahummaj a’lnee min jundeka
O Allah! Include me in Your army,
فَاِنَّ جُنْدَكَ هُمُ الْغالِبُونَ
fa-inna junnaka homul ghaaleboon.
verily Your army shall be the victorious one.
اَللَّهُمَّ اسْقِني مِنَ الرَّحيقِ الْمَخْتُومِ خِتامُهُ مِسْكٌ
allaahummas qenee menar raheeqil makhtoome, khetaamohu misk,
O Allah! Provide me to quaff of pure drink which shall be sealed to others, the seal being of Musk.
وَ في ذلِكَ فَلْيَتَنافَسِ الْمُتَنافِسُونَ
wa fee zaaleka falyatanaafasil motanaafesoon.
For that may aspire all those who wish to aspire for bliss.
اَللَّهُمَّ اسْقِني مِنْ تَسْنيمٍ
allaahummas qenee min tasneemin,
O Allah! Grant me a drink from Tasleem,
عَيْناً يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
a’ynan yashrabo behal moqarraboon.
a spring in Paradise, from which will drink those who enjoy nearness to You.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسي
allaahumma innee zalamto nafsee
O Allah! I am of the unjust ones,
وَ اِلاَّ تَغْفِرْلي وَ تَرْحَمْني اَكُنْ مِنَ الْخاسِرينَ
wa illaa taghfir lee wa tarhamnee akun menal khaasereen.
if You do not forgive me and be merciful to me, surely I will be of the losers.
اَللَّهُمَّ سُقْ اِلَىَّ التَّيْسيرَ بَعْدَ التَّعْسيرِ
allaahumma suq elayyat tayseere ba’dat ta’seere,
O Allah! Grant me happiness after hardships
وَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ لي اَجْراً غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ
wa an taj-a’l lee ajran ghayra mamnoonin,
and bestow on me an unending recompense.
رَبَّنا اِنَّنا سَمِعْنا مُنادِياً يُنادي لِلْايمانِ
rabbanaa innanaa same’naa monaadeyan yonaadee lil-eemaane
O our Lord! We have indeed heard the voice of an announce calling us to faith saying :
اَنْ امِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَامَنَّا
an aamenoo berabbekum faaamannaa,
Believe you in Your Lord ! And we did believe.
رَبَّنا فَاغْفِرْلَنا ذُنُوبَنا
rabbanaa faghfir lanaa zonoobanaa
O our Lord! Therefore forgive us then our sins
وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئاتِنا وَ تَوَفَّنا مَعَ الْاَبْرارِ
wa kaffir a’nnaa sayye-aatenaa wa tawaffanaa ma-a’l abraar,
and remove away from us over evil deeds, and cause us to die with the virtuous ones.
رَبَّنا وَ اتِنا ما وَعَدْتَنا عَلى رُسُلِكَ
rabbanaa wa aatenaa maa waa’dtanaa a’laa rosoleka
O our Lord! Give us what You promised us through Your Messenger
وَ لاتُخْزِنا يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ
wa laa tukhzenaa yawmal qeyaamate
and disgrace us not on the day of resurrection.
اِنَّكَ لاتُخْلِفُ الْميعادَ
innaka laa tukhleful mee-a’ad.
Verily You do not break Your promise.
اَللَّهُمَّ ارْفَعْ لي عِنْدَكَ دَرَجَةً وَ رِزْقاً كَريماً
allaahummar fa’ i’ndaka darajatan wa rizqan kareemaa.
O Allah! Raise me to a higher rank and increase my lawful sustenance.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِكَ
allaahummaj a’lnee menal lazeena yoofoona be-a’hdeka,
O Allah! Make me of those who fulfil the covenant with You,
وَ لا يَنْقُضُونَ الْميثاقَ
wa laa yanqozoonal meesaaqa,
and break not their pledge
وَ مِنَ الَّذينَ يَصِلُونَ ما اَمَرَ اللهُ بِهِ اَنْ يُوصَلَ
wa menal lazeena yaseloona maa amaral laaho behi an yoosala,
and of those who establish what Allah has bidden to be established,
وَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَ يَخافُونَ سُوءَ الْحِسابِ
wa yakhshawnaa rabbahum wa yakhaafoona soo-a’l hesaab.
and they fear their Lord and dread the terrible reckoning.
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الَّذينَ صَبَرُوا
allaahummaj a’lnee menal lazeena sabarub
O Allah! Make me of those who are forbearing amidst trails
ابْتِغاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِمْ وَ اَقْامُوا الصَّلاةَ
teghaa-a wajhe rabbehim wa aqaamus salaata
seeking the pleasure of their Lord, and establish prayer
وَ اَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْناهُمْ سِرّاً وَ عَلانِيَةً
wa anfaqoo mimmaa razaqnaahum sirran wa a’laaneyatan,
and spend benevolently of what you have provided them with secretly and openly,
وَ يَدْرَؤُنَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ
wa yadraoona bilhasanatis sayye-ata,
and they turn away evil with good,
وَ مِمَّنْ جَعَلْتَ لَهُمْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
wa mimman ja-a’lta lahum u’qbad daar,
for them is the happy attainment of the eternal abode.
رَبَّنا اتِنا فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً
rabbanaa wa aatenaa fid dunyaa hasanatan
O our Lord! Grant us good in this world
وَ فِي الْاخِرَةِ حَسَنةً
wa fil aakherate hasanatan
and good in the Hereafter
wa qenaa a’zaaban naar.
and save us from the torment of he Hellfire.
