Supplication 142- Day 19 of the month from Al-Sahifa e Alaviya
بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ
al-hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi nafsohu,
All praise belongs to Allah by that through which Allah has Praised himself,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallalal laaho behi nafsohu,
‘There is no god but Allah’ by that through which Allah has declared His Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi nafsohu,
‘Glory be to Allah’ by that through which Allah has glorified Himself,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi nafsohu.
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which Allah has magnified Himself,
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ عَرْشُهُ
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi a’rshohu
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His Throne,
وَ كُرْسِيُّهُ وَ مَنْ تَحْتَهُ
wa kursiyyohu wa man tahtahu,
His Seat and those under it praise Allah,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ عَرْشُهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallalal laaha behi a’rshohu
‘There is no god but Allah’, by that through which His Throne,
وَ كُرْسِيُّهُ وَ مَنْ تَحْتَهُ
wa kursiyyohu wa man tahtahu,
His Seat and those under it declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ عَرْشُهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi a’rshohu
‘Glory be to Allah’ by that through which His Throne,
وَ كُرْسِيُّهُ وَ مَنْ تَحْتَهُ
wa kursiyyohu wa man tahtahu,
His Seat and those under it glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ عَرْشُهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaho behi a’rshohu
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His Throne,
وَ كُرْسِيُّهُ وَ مَنْ تَحْتَهُ
wa kursiyyohu wa man tahtahu.
His Seat and those under it magnify Allah.
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ خَلْقُهُ
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi kahlqohu,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His creation praise Allah,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ خَلْقُهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallal laaha behi kahlqohu,
‘There is no god but Allah; by that through which His creation declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ خَلْقُهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi kahlqohu,
‘Glory be to Allah; by that through which His creation glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ خَلْقُهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi kahlqohu.
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His creation magnify Allah.
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ مَلائِكَتُهُ
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi malaaekatohu,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His angles praise Allah.
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ مَلائِكَتُهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallalal laaha behi malaaekatohu,
‘There is no god but Allah’ by that through which His angels declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ مَلائِكَتُهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi malaaekatohu,
‘Glory be to Allah’ by that through which His angels glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ مَلائِكَتُهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi malaaekatohu.
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His angels magnify Allah,
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ سَماواتُهُ وَ اَرْضُهُ
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi samaawaatohu wa arzohu,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His heavens and His earth praise Allah,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ سَماواتُهُ وَ أَرْضُهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallal laaha behi samaawaatohu wa arzohu,
‘There is no god but Allah’ by that through which His heavens and His earth declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ سَماواتُهُ وَ اَرْضُهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi samaawaatohu wa arzohu,
‘Glory be to Allah; by that through which His heavens and His earth glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ سَماواتُهُ وَ أَرْضُهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi samaawaatohu wa arzohu.
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His heavens and His earth magnify Allah.
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ رَعْدُهُ وَ بَرْقُهُ وَ مَطَرُهُ
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi ra’dohu wa barqohu wa matarohu,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His thunder and His lightning and His rain praise Allah,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ رَعْدُهُ وَ بَرْقُهُ وَ مَطَرُهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallal laaha behi ra’dohu wa barqohu wa matarohu,
‘There is no god but Allah’ by that through which His thunder and His lightning and His rain declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ رَعْدُهُ وَ بَرْقُهُ وَ مَطَرُهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi ra’dohu wa barqohu wa matarohu,
‘Glory be to Allah’ by that through which His thunder and His lightning and His rain glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ رَعْدُهُ وَ بَرْقُهُ وَ مَطَرُهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi ra’dohu wa barqohu wa matarohu.
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His thunder and His lightning and His rain magnify Allah,
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ كُرْسِيُّهُ
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi kursiyyohu,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His Throne
وَ كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ اَحاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُهُ
wa kullo shay-in ahaata behi i’lmohu,
and everything His knowledge encompasses praise Allah,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ كُرْسِيُّهُ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallal laaha behi kursiyyohu,
‘There is no god but Allah ’by that through which His Throne
وَ كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ اَحاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُهُ
wa kullo shay-in ahaata behi i’lmohu,
and everything His knowledge encompasses declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ كُرْسِيُّهُ
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi kursiyyohu,
‘Glory be to Allah’ by that through which His Throne
وَ كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ اَحاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُهُ
wa kullo shay-in ahaata behi i’lmohu,
and everything His knowledge encompasses glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ كُرْسِيُّهُ
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi kursiyyohu,
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His Throne
وَ كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ اَحاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُهُ
wa kullo shay-in ahaata behi i’lmohu.
and everything His knowledge encompasses magnify Allah,
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِما حَمِدَ اللهَ بِهِ بِحارُهُ وَ ما فيها
wal hamdo lillaahe bemaa hamedal laaha behi behaarohu wa maa feehaa,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ by that through which His seas and what is in them praise Allah,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ بِما هَلَّلَ اللهَ بِهِ بِحارُهُ وَ ما فيها
wa laa elaaha illal laaho bemaa hallal laaha behi behaarohu wa maa feehaa,
‘There is no god but Allah’ by that through which His seas and what is in them declare Allah’s Oneness,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ بِما سَبَّحَ اللهَ بِهِ بِحارُهُ وَ ما فيها
wa subhaanal laahe bemaa sabbahal laaha behi behaarohu wa maa feehaa,
‘Glory be to Allah’ by that through which His seas and what is in them glorify Allah,
وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ بِما كَبَّرَ اللهَ بِهِ بِحارُهُ وَ ما فيها
wal laaho akbaro bemaa kabbaral laaha behi behaarohu wa maa feehaa.
‘Allah is Great’ by that through which His seas and what is in the magnify Allah,
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ مُنْتَهى عِلْمِهِ
wal hamdo lillaahe muntahaa i’lmehi,
‘All praise belongs to Allah’ to the infinite end of His knowledge
وَ مَبْلَغَ رِضاهُ وَ ما لا نَفادَ لَهُ
wa mablage rezaaho, wa maa laa nafaada lahu,
and the utmost degree of His pleasure and that which has no end to it,
وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ مُنْتَهى عِلْمِهِ
wa laa elaaha illal laaho muntahaa i’lmehi,
‘There is no god but Allah’ to the infinite end of His knowledge
وَ مَبْلَغَ رِضاهُ وَ ما لا نفادَ لَهُ
wa mablage rezaaho, wa maa laa nafaada lahu,
and the utmost degree of His pleasure and that which has no end to it,
وَ سُبْحانَ اللهِ مُنْتَهى عِلْمِهِ

wa mablage rezaaho, wa maa laa nafaada lahu.
and the utmost degree of His pleasure and that which has no end to it.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin,
O Allah, commend Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
وَ ارْحَمْ مُحَمَّداً وَ الَ مُحَمَّدٍ
war ham mohammadain wa aala mohammadin,
and have mercy on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
وَ بارِكْ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
wa baarik a’laa mohammadin wa aala mohammadin,
and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
كَما صَلَّيْتَ وَ بارَكْتَ وَ تَرَحَّمْتَ
kamaa sallayta wa baarakta wa tarahhamta
as You have commended, blessed and had mercy
عَلى اِبْراهيمَ وَ الِ اِبْراهيمَ اِنَّكَ حَميدٌ مَجيدٌ
a’laa ibraaheema wa aale ibraaheema innaka hameedun majeed.
on Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; surely You are “...Praiseworthy, All-glorious” (11:73)
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْأَلُكَ عَلى اَثَرِ تَحْميدِكَ
allaahumma innee asaloka a’laa asare tahmeedeka
O Allah, I ask You after Your praise, the declaration of Your Oneness,
وَ تَهْليلِكَ وَ تَسْبيحِكَ وَ تَكْبيرِكَ
wa tahleeleka wa tasbeeheka wa takbeereka
Your glorification, Your magnification
وَ الصَّلاةِ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ
was salaate a’laa mohammadin nabiyyeka
and the blessings on Muhammad, Your Prophet,
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ اَنْ تَغْفِرَلي ذُنُوبي كُلَّها
sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi an taghfera lee zonoobee kullahaa
blessings of Allah on him and his family, to forgive me my sins, all of them,
صَغيرَها وَ كَبيرَها سِرَّها وَ عَلانِيَتَها
sagheerahaa wa kabeerahaa, sirrehaa wa a’laaneyatehaa
the small and the great, the secret and the apparent,
ما عَلِمْتُ مِنْها وَ ما لَمْ اَعْلَمْ
maa a’limto minhaa, wa maa lam a-a’lam,
that which I know of and that which I do not,
وَ ما اَحْصَيْتَهُ وَ حَفِظْتَهُ وَ نَسيتُهُ اَنَا مِنْ نَفْسي
wa maa ahsaytahu wa hafiztahu wa nasaytohu anaa min nafsee.
that which You have numbered and remembered and which I myself have forgotten,
يا اَللهُ يا اَللهُ يا اَللهُ
yaa allaaho yaa allaaho yaa allaaho,
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah,
يا رَحْمانُ يا رَحْمانُ يا رَحْمانُ
yaa rahmaano yaa rahmaano yaa rahmaano,
O Merciful, O Merciful, O Merciful,
يا رَحيمُ يا رَحيمُ يا رَحيمُ امينَ رَبَّ الْعالَمينَ
yaa raheemo yaa raheemo yaa raheemo, aameena rabbal a-a’lameen
O Compassionate, O Compassionate, O Compassionate, Amen, Lord of all Being.
