Supplication 141- Day 18 of the month from Al-Sahifa e Alaviya

بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ عَدَدَ رِضاهُ

laa elaaha illal laaho a’dada rezaaho,

There is no god but Allah equal to the extent of His pleasure.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ

laa elaaha illal laaho a’dada khalqehi,

There is no god but Allah, equal to the number of His creation.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ عَدَدَ كَلِماتِهِ

laa elaaha illal laaho a’dada kalemaatehi,

There is no god but Allah, equal to His Words

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ

laa elaaha illal laaho zenata a’rshehi,

There is no god but Allah, equal to the weight of His Throne

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ مِلْأَ سَماواتِهِ وَ اَرْضِهِ

laa elaaha illal laaho mil-a samaawaatehi wa arzehi,

There is no god but Allah, equal to the fullness of His heavens and His earth.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْحَميدُ الْمَجيدُ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحيمُ

laa elaaha illal laahul hameedul majeedul ghafoorur raheemul

There is no god but Allah, the "Praiseworthy, the All-glorious" (Ref. 11:73) “...the Oft-forgiving, the All-Compassionate” (10:107)

الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَيْمِنُ الْعَزيزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ

moamenul mohaymenul a’zeezul jabbaarul motakabbero,

“...the Bestower of conviction, the Guardian, the Invincible, the All-compellor, the Great Absolute” (59:23)

ُّلا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ القابِضُ الْباسِطُ الْعَلِيُّ الْوَفِي

laa elaaha illal laahul qaabezul baasetul a’liyyul wafiyyo,

There is no god but Allah, the Straitener, the Outspreader, the Sublime, the Fulfiller,

الْواحِدُ الْاَحَدُ الْفَرْدُ الصَّمَدُ

alwaahedul ahadul fardus samadul

the One, the Sole, the Unique, the Everlasting Refuge,

الْقاهِرُ لِعِبادِهِ الرَّؤُوفُ الرَّحيمُ

qaahero lee’baadehir ra-oofur raheemo,

Prevailer over His servants, the “...All- Clement, All- compassionate” (16:7)

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْاَوَّلُ الْاخِرُ الظَّاهِرُ الْباطِنُ

laa elaaha illal laahul awwalul aakheruz zaaherul baateno,

There is no god but Allah, “...the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden...” (57:3),

الْمُغيثُ الْقَريبُ الْمُجيبُ

almogheesul qareebul mojeebo,

the Succour, “...the Near the Answerer of prayer" (11:61)

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْغَفُورُ الشَّكُورُ اللَّطيفُ الْخَبيرُ

laa elaaha illal laahul ghafoorush shakoorul lateeful khabeero,

There is no god but Allah, “...the Oft-forgiving, the All-appreciating." (Ref. 35:30) “...the All-subtle, the All-aware.” (6:103)

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الصَّادِقُ الْاَوَّلُ الْعالِمُ الْاَعْلى

laa elaaha illal laahus saadequl awwalul a’alemul a-a’laa,

There is no god but Allah, the True, the First, the Knower, the Most High.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الطَّالِبُ الْغالِبُ النُّورُ الْجَليلُ

laa elaaha illal laahut taalebul ghaalebun noorul jaleelo,

There is no god but Allah, the Seeker, the Overcomer, the Light, the Majestic.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْجَميلُ الرَّزَّاقُ الْبَديعُ الْمُبْتَدِعُ

laa elaaha illal laahul jameelur razzaaqul badee-u’l mubtade-o’,

There is no god but Allah, the Beautiful, the Provider, the Creator, the Originator.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الصَّمَدُ الدَّيَّانُ الْعَلِيُّ الْاَعْلى

laa elaaha illal laahus samadud dayyaanul a’liyyul aa’laa,

There is no god but Allah, the Everlasting Refuge, the Requiter, the Sublime, the Most High.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْخالِقُ الْكافي الْباقي الْمُعافي

laa elaaha illal laahul khaalequl kaafil baaqil mo-a’afee,

There is no god but Allah, the Creator, the Sufficer, the Everlasting the Pardoner.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْمُعِزُّ الْمُذِلُّ الْفاضِلُ الْجَوادُ الْكَريمُ

laa elaaha illal laahul mo-i’zzul mozillul faazelul jawaadul kareemo,

There is no god but Allah, the One who Exalts the Abaser, the Excellent, the Munificent, the All-generous.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الدَّافِعُ النَّافِعُ الرَّافِعُ الْواضِعُ

laa elaaha illal laahud daa-feu’n naafe-u’r raafeu’l waaze-o’,

There is no god but Allah, the Repeller, the Benefactor, the Exalter, the Humbler.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْحَنَّانُ الْمَنَّانُ الْباعِثُ الْوارِثُ

laa elaaha illal laahul hannaanul mannaanul baa-e’sul waareso,

There is no god but Allah, the Compassionate, the Bountiful, the Resurrector, the Inheritor.

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْقائِمُ الدَّائِمُ الرَّفيعُ الْواسِعُ

laa elaaha illal laahul qaa-emud daa-emur ra-fee-u’l waase-o’,

There is no god but Allah, the Eternal the Everlasting, the Exalted, the Expander

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْغِياثُ الْمُغيثُ

laa elaaha illal laahul gheyaasul mogheesul

There is no god but Allah, the Aider, the Succour,

الْمُفْضِلُ الْحَىُّ الَّذي لا يَمُوتُ

mofazzelul hayyul lazee laa yamooto,

Bestower of bounty, “...the Living God, the Undying...” (25:58)

لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْخالِقُ الْبارِى ءُ الْمُصَوِّرُ

laa elaaha illal laahul khaalequl baare-ul mosawwero,

There is no god but Allah, “...the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner.

لَهُ الْاَسْماءُ الْحُسْنى

lahul asmaa-ul husnaa

To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful.

يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

yosabbeho lau maa fis samaawaate wal arze,

All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him.

وَ هُوَ الْعَزيزُ الْحَكيمُ

wa howal a’zeezul hakeem,

He is Invincible, All-wise.” (59:24)

هُوَ اللهُ الْجَبَّارُ في دَيْمُومِيَّتِهِ فَلا شَيْ ءَ يُعادِلُهُ

howal laahul jabbaaro fee daymoomiyyatehi falaa shay-a yoa’adelhu,

He is Allah, All – compelling in His Everlastingness, so that nothing equals Him

وَ لا يَصِفُهُ وَ لا يُوازيهِ وَ لا يُشْبِهُهُ

wa laa yasefohu wa laa yowaazee-he wa laa yashbehohu,

nor describes Him nor corresponds to Him, nor is similar to Him.

لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْ ءٌ وَ هُوَ السَّميعُ الْبَصيرُ اللَّطيفُ الْخَبيرُ

laysa kamislehi shay-un wa howas samee-u’l baseerul lateeful khabeero

“There is nothing whatsoever like unto Him. He is All-hearing, All seeing” (42:11); “...and He is the All-subtle, the All-aware “ (6:103)

هُوَ اللهُ اَسْرَعُ الْحاسِبينَ

howal laaho asra-u’l haasebeen,

He is Allah “...the Swiftest of reckoners” (6:62),

وَ اَجْوَدُ الْمُفْضِلينَ الْمُجيبُ دَعْوَةَ الْمُضْطَرّينَ

wa ajwadul mufzeleen, al-mojeebo da’watal muztarreen,

the Most liberal of bestowers, Answerer of the call of the constrained

وَ الطَّالِبينَ اِلى وَجْهِهِ الْكَريمِ

wat taalebeena elaa wajhehil kareem,

and of the seekers of His All-generous Countenance.

اَسْأَلُكَ بِمُنْتَهى كَلِمَتِكَ التَّامَّةِ

asaloka bemuntahaa kalematekat taammate,

I ask You by the utmost degree of Your perfect Word,

وَ بِعِزَّتِكَ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ وَ سُلْطانِكَ

wa bei’zzateka wa qudrateka wa sultaaneka

and by Your Invincibility, Your Power, Your Sovereignty

وَ جَبَرُوتِك اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ

wa jabarooteka an tosalleya a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi,

and Your Might, that You bless Muhammad and his family

وَ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بي كَذا وَ كَذا

wa an taf-a’la bee ‘kazaa wa kazaa’

and fulfil for me (mention your desires)

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ

be-rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeen

with Your mercy, O theMost Merciful.
