hayyul qayyoomo, laa taa-khozohu senatun wa laa nawm,
“.. the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting. Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep;

lahu maa fis samaawaate wa maa fil arze,
to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.

man zal lazee yash-fa-o’ i’ndahu illaa beiznehi,
Who is there that shall intercede with Him except by His permission ?

He knows what lies before them and what is behind them,

wa laa yoheetoona beshay-im min i’lmehi illaa bemaa shaaa-a,
and they comprehend not anything of His knowledge save such as He wills.

wase-a’ kursiyyohus samaawaate wal arza,
His Throne comprises the heavens and the earth;

wa laa ya-oodohu hifzohomaa, wa howal a’liyyul a’zeemo.
the preserving of them does not tire Him; He is the Most high, the Great." (2:255)

laaa ikraaha fid deeni qat tabiyanar rushdu minal ghayy;
"No compulsion is there in religion. Indeed truth has become clear from error.

famai yakfur bit taaghooti wa yu'mim billaahi faqadis tamsaka bil'urwatil wusqaa lan fisaama lahaa;
So whosoever disbelieves in false gods and believes in Allah, has indeed taken hold of the most firm handle which will not break;

Allah is the guardian of the believers;

wallazeena kafarooo awliyaaa'uhumut Taaghootu
And the unbelievers – their guardians are the false gods

yukhrijoonahum minan noori ilaz zulumaat;
who take them out of the light into darkness;

ulaaa'ika Ashaabun Naari hum feehaa khaalidoon
those are the inhabitants of the Fire, they shall abide therein forever.” (2:257)
