Supplication 134- Day 11 of the month from Al-Sahifa e Alaviya

بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

سُبْحان الَّذي اَسْرى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرامِ اِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْاَقْصَى الَّذي بارَكْنا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ اياتِنا اِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّميعُ الْبَصيرُ
subhaanal lazee asraa be-a’bdehi laylam menal masjedil haraame elal masjedil aqsal lazee baaraknaa hawlahu le-noreyahu min aayaatenaa, innahu howas sameeu’l baseer.
“Glory be to Him, Who carried His servant by night from the holy Mosque to the farthest Mosque whose precincts We have blessed, that We may show him some of our signs. Verily He is the All-Hearing, the All-seeing”. (17:1)

سُبْحانَهُ وَ تَعالى عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ عُلُوّاً كَبيراً
subhaanahu wa taa’alaa a’mmaa yaqooluz zaalemoona o’luwwan kabeeraa.
“Glory be to Him! Exalted is He above what they say – high and great! (17:43)

تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّماواتُ السَّبْعُ وَ الْاَرْضُ وَ مَنْ فيهِنَّ وَ اِنْ مِنْ شَيْ ءٍ اِلاَّ يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَ لكِنْ لاتَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبيحَهُمْ اِنَّهُ كانَ حَليماً غَفُوراً
tosabbeho lahus samaawaatus sab-o’ wal arzo wa man feehinna, wa in min shayin illaa yosabbeho behamdehi wa laakil laa tafqahoona tasbeehahum, innahu kaana haleeman ghafooraa.
The seven heavens and the earth, and whosoever in them is glorify Him; there is nothing that does not proclaim His praise, but you do not understand their glorification. Surely He is Forbearing, Oft-forgiving” (17:44)

سُبْحانَهُ اِذا قَضى اَمْراً فَاِنَّما يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
subhaanahu, ezaa qazaa amran fainnamaa yaqoolo lahu kun fayakoon.
“Glory be to Him! When He decrees a matter, He only says to it “Be, and it becomes” (19:35)

فَاصْبِرْ عَلى ما يَقُولُونَ وَ سَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِها، وَ مِنْ اناءِ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَ اَطْرافَ النَّهارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضى
fas-bir a’laa maa yaqooloona wa sabbeh be-hamde rabbeka qabla tolooi’sh shamse wa qabla ghoroobehaa, wa min aanaaa-i’ layle fasabbeh wa atraafan nahaare laa’llaka tarzaa.
“So bear with patience what they say, and glorify your Lord’s praise before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and glorify Him some hours of the night, and at the ends of the day that you may obtain the pleasure (of your Lord” (20:130)

سُبْحانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
subhaana rabbeka rabbil i’zzate a’mmaa yasefoon.
“Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of majesty, far above what they ascribe to Him!" (37:180)

وَ سَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلينَ
wa salaamun a’lal mursaleen.
"And peace be upon the messengers"; (37:181)

وَ الْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمينَ
wal hamdo lillaahe rabbil a’alameen.
"and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds”. (37:182)

سُبْحانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظيمِ
subhaanal laahe rabbil a’rshil a’zeem.
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne!

سُبْحانَكَ اِنّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمينَ
subhaanaka, innee kunto menaz zaalemeen.
“...glory be to You! I have been one of the unjust” (21:87)

سُبْحانَ اللهِ وَ تَعالى عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
subhaanal laahe wa ta-a’alaa a’mmaa yasefoon.
Glory be to Allah, and the most high above what they describe

سُبْحانَهُ وَ تَعالى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
subhaanahu wa taa’alaa a’mmaa yushrekoon.
“...glory be to God! High be He exalted above that they associate” (28:68).

سُبْحانَهُ هُوَ اللهُ الْواحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
subhaanahu, howal laahul waahedul qahhaar.
“...glory be to Him! He is Allah, the One the Subduer” (39:4)

سُبْحانَ الَّذي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ وَ اِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
subhaanal lazee beyadehi malakooto kulle shay-inw wa elayhe turja-o’on.
“Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the kingdom of everything, and unto Him you shall be returned” (36:83)

سُبْحانَ رَبِّ السَّماواتِ السَّبْعِ
subhaana rabbis samaawaatis sab-e’
Glory be to the “...Lord of the seven heavens” (23:86)

وَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظيمِ
wa rabbil a’rshil a’zeem.
and “...Lord of the mighty throne” (27:26)

سَبَّحَ لِلهِ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ هُوَ الْعَزيزُ الْحَكيمُ
sabbaha lillaahe maa fis samaawaate wal arz, wa howal a’zeezul hakeem.
"All that is in the heavens and the earth celebrates the glory of Allah; He is All-Mighty, All-wise." (57:1)

لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّماواتِ وَ الْاَرْض يُحْيي وَ يُميتُ وَ هُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَديرٌ
lahu mulkus samaawaate wal arz, yohyee wa yomeet, wa howa a’laa kulle shay-in qadeer.
"His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth: He gives life, and He causes death, and He is powerful over everything." (57:2)

هُوَ الْاَوَّلُ وَ الْاخِرُ وَ الظَّاهِرُ وَ الْباطِنُ وَ هُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ عَليمٌ
howal awwalo wal aakhero waz zaahero wal baaten, wa howa bekulle shay-in a’leem.
"He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden: He has knowledge of everything." (57:3)

هُوَ الَّذي خَلَقَ السَّماواتِ وَ الْاَرْضَ في سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يَعْلَمُ ما يَلِجُ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَ ما يَخْرُجُ مِنْها وَ ما يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ وَ ما يَعْرُجُ فيها، وَ هُوَ مَعَكُمْ اَيْنَما كُنْتُمْ وَ اللهُ بِما تَعْمَلُونَ بَصيرٌ
howal lazee khalaqas samaawaate wal arza fee sittate ayyaamin summas tawaa a’lal arsh, ya’lamo maa yalejo fil arze wa maa yakhrojo minhaa wa maa yanzelo menas samaaa-e wa maa ya’rojo feehaa, wa howa ma-a’kum ayna maa kuntum, wal laaho bemaa ta’maloona baseer.
"It is He that created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then established Himself upon the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth, and what comes out from it, and what comes down from heaven and what goes up into it. He is with you wherever you are : and God sees all things you do." (57:4)

لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّماواتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ اِلَى اللهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُورُ
lau mulkus samaawaate wal arz, wa elal laahe turjau’l omoor.
"His is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth : and to Allah all matters are returned." (57:5)

يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهارِ وَ يُولِجُ النَّهارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَ هُوَ عَليمٌ بِذاتِ الصُّدُورِ
yoolejul layla fin n ahaare wa yoolejun nahaara fil layl, wa howa a’leemun be-zaatis sodoor.
"He causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night. He knows whatsoever is within the breasts." (57:6)

سَبَّحَ لِلهِ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ ما فِي الْاَرْضِ وَ هُوَ الْعَزيزُ الْحَكيمُ
sabbaha lillaahe maa fissamaawaate wal arz, wa howal a’zeezul hakeem.
“All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies God : He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.” (59:1)

هُوَ اللهُ الْخالِقُ الْبارِى ءُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَهُ الْاَسْماءُ الْحُسْنى، يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ هُوَ الْعَزيزُ الْحَكيمُ
howal laahul khaalequl baa-re-ul mosawwero lahul asmaaa-ul husnaa, yosabbeho lahu maa fis samaawaate wal arz, wa howal a’zeezul hakeeem.
“He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker the Fashioner. His are all the Names Most Beautiful. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him. And he is the Mighty, the Wise.’’ (59:24)

يُسَبِّحُ لِلهِ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ ما فِي الْاَرْضِ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ هُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَديرٌ
yosabbeho lillaahe maa fis samaawaate wa maa fil arz, lahul mulko wa lahul hamd, wa howa a’laa kulle shay-in qadeer.
“Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; to Him belongs the kingdom, and to Him is due (all) praise, and He has power over all things.” (64:1)

وَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَ سَبِّحْهُ لَيْلاً طَويلاً
wa menal layle fasjod lahu wa sabbeh-ho laylan taweelaa.
“And part of the night prostrate before Him and glorify Him through the long night.” (76:26)

فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَ اسْتَغْفِرْهُ اِنَّهُ كانَ تَوَّاباً
fasabbeh be-hamde rabbeka was taghfirho innahu kaana tawwaabaa.
“Then proclaim the praise of thy Lord, and seek His forgiveness; surely He is Oft-returning (in mercy)." (110:3)

سُبْحانَكَ اَنْتَ الَّذي يُسَبِّحُ لَكَ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَ الْاصالِ
subhaanaka antal lazee yosabbeho laka bil-ghoduwwe wal aasaal.
Glory be to You, You are the One who is glorified “...in the mornings and evenings” (24:36)

رِجالٌ لاتُلْهيهِمْ تِجارَةٌ وَ لا بَيْعٌ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللهِ وَ اِقامِ الصَّلاةَ وَ ايتاءِ الزَّكاةَ يَخافُونَ يَوْماً تَتَقَلَّبُ فيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَ الْاَبْصارُ
rejaalun, laa tulheeheem tejaratunw wa laa bay-u’n a’n zikril laahe wa eqaamis salaate wa ee-taaa-iz zakaat, yakhaafoona yawman tataqallabo feehil qoloobo wal absaar.
“Men whom neither merchandise nor sale diverts from the remembrance of Allah and constancy in prayer, and paying the poor-rate, fearing a day when hearts and eyes shall be turned about.” (24:37)

وَ سُبْحانَ الَّذي تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّماواتُ وَجَلاً
wa subhaanal lazee tosabbeho lahus samaawaato wajelaa,
Glory be to Him whom the heavens glorify, quaking,

وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ شَفَقاً وَ الْاَرضُ خَوْفاً وَ طَمَعاً
wal malaa-ekato shafaqan wal arzo khawfan wa tama-a’n,
and the angels in fear, and the earth fearfully and eagerly,

وَ كُلٌّ يُسَبِّحُهُ داخِرينَ
wa kullun yosabbehoonahu daakhereen.
and all glorify Him abjectly.

سُبْحانَهُ بِالْجَلالِ مُنْفَرِداً
subhaanu bil-jalaale munfaredan,
Glory be to Him, Unique in Majesty,

وَ بِالتَّوْحيدِ مَعْرُوفاً وَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مَوْصُوفاً
wa bittawheede ma’roofan, wa bil-ma’roofe mawsoofan,
Known through the belief in His Oneness, characterised by Beneficence,

وَ بِالرُّبُوبِيَّةِ عَلَى الْعالَمينَ قاهِراً
wa birroboobiyyate a’lal a’alameena qaaheran,
and Omnipotent through Lordship over the worlds;

وَ لَهُ البَهْجَةُ وَ الْجَمالُ اَبَداً
wa lahul bahjato wal jamaalo abadan.
And to Him belongs Beauty and Goodness forever.
