1.On the authority of the Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him and his family)-Iqbal Aamal- 29th


تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الَّذِي لَا يَغْلِبُهُ أَحَدٌ
“I have placed my trust in the Master whom no one can overpower!

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْجَبَّارِ الَّذِي لَا يَقْهَرُهُ أَحَدٌ
I have placed my trust in the Irresistible whom no one can overcome.

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ الَّذِي يَرَانِي حِينَ أَقُومُ وَ تَقَلُّبِي فِي السَّاجِدِينَ
I have placed my trust in the Exalted in Might the Merciful who sees me amongst those who prostrate while I stand up and go down.

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ
I have placed my trust in the Everlasting and shall not perish!

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى مَنْ‌ بِيَدِهِ نَوَاصِي الْعِبَادِ
I have placed my trust in Him who controls all the affairs of the people.

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَلِيمِ الَّذِي لَا يَعْجَلُ
I have placed my trust in the Forebearing who does not rush!

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْعَدْلِ الَّذِي لَا يَجُورُ
I have placed my trust in the Just one who shall never oppress!

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الصَّمَدِ الَّذِي‌ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَ لَمْ يُولَدْ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ
I have placed my trust in the Eternal, Absolute – the One who „begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him!‟

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْقَادِرِ الْقَاهِرِ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى الْأَحَدِ الصَّمَدِ
I have placed my trust in the Powerful, the Subduer, the Sublime, the Absolute!

تَوَكَّلْتُ تَوَكَّلْتُ تَوَكَّلْتُ تَوَكَّلْتُ تَوَكَّلْتُ تَوَكَّلْتُ تَوَكَّلْتُ
I have placed my trust in You. I have placed my trust in You. I have placed my trust in You. I have placed my trust in You. I have placed my trust in You. I have placed my trust in You. I have placed my trust in You.‟ ”

عَلَيْكَ سَيِّدِي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
We ask you our lord to send blessings on Muhammad & his progeny

وَ أَنْ تَرْحَمَنِي وَ تَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيَّ وَ لَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
and have mercy on us & favour us on the day of judgement

إِنَّكَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ.
You are severest of punishers,best forgiver & most merciful
3.Night Dua- Muhammad ibn Abi Qarrih book Amal-i-Shahr-i-Ramadhan 29th


يَا مُكَوِّرَ ٱللَّيْلِ عَلَىٰ ٱلنَّهَارِ
ya mukawwira allayli `ala alnnahari
O He Who makes the night overlap the day

وَمُكَوِّرَ ٱلنَّهَارِ عَلَىٰ ٱللَّيْلِ
wa mukawwira alnnahari `ala allayli
and makes the day overlap the night!

يَا عَلِيمُ يَا حَكِيمُ
ya `alimu ya hakimu
O All-knowing! O All-wise!

يَارَبَّ ٱلارْبَابِ
ya rabba al-arbabi
O Lord of lords

وَسَيِّدَ ٱلسَّادَاتِ
wa sayyida alssadati
and the Master of masters!

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ
la ilaha illa anta
There is no god save You.

يَا اقْرَبَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ
ya aqraba ilayya min habli alwaridi
You are nearer to me than my life-vein.

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ
ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!

لَكَ ٱلاسْمَاءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
laka al-asma'u alhusna
To You are the Most Excellent Names,

وَٱلامْثَالُ ٱلْعُلْيَا
wal-amthalu al`ulya
the most elevated examples,

وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَٱلآلاَءُ
walkibriya’u wal-ala'u
greatness, and bounties.

اسْالُكَ انْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَانْ تَجْعَلَ ٱسْمِي فِي هٰذِهِ ٱللَّيْلَةِ فِي ٱلسُّعَدَاءِ
wa an taj`ala ismi fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada'i
include my name with the list of the happiest ones,

وَرُوحِي مَعَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ
wa ruhi ma`a alshshuhada'i
add my soul to the martyrs,

وَإِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ
wa ihsani fi `illiyyina
record my good deeds in the most exalted rank,

وَإِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً
wa isa'ati maghfuratan
decide my offense to be forgiven,

وَانْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي
wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi
grant me certitude that fills in my heart

وَإِيـمَاناً يُذْهِبُ ٱلشَّكَّ عَنِّي
wa imanan yudhhibu alshshakka `anni
and faith that removes doubt from me,

وَتُرْضِيَنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
wa turdiyani bima qasamta li
make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me,

وَآتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan
grant us reward in this world

وَفِي ٱلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wa fi al-akhirati hasanatan
and reward in the Hereafter,

وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi
save us from the torment of the burning Fire,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَٱلرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ
warzuqni fiha dhikraka wa shukraka walrraghbata ilayka
and confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, desiring for You,

وَٱلإِنَابَةَ وَٱلتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ
wal-inabata walttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu
turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.


4.Popular DAY Dua 29th


اللّهُمّ غَشّنِي فِيهِ بِالرّحْمَةِ،
allahumma ghashshiny fihi bilrrhmati
O Allah: on this day, (please) spread out mercy over me,

وَارْزُقْنِي فِيهِ التّوْفِيقَ وَالعِصْمَةَ،
warzuqny fihi alttawfiqa wal-`ismata
And provide me with success and protection (against sinning),

وَطَهّرْ قَلْبِي مِنْ غَيَاهِبِ التّهَمَةِ،
wa tahhr qalby min ghayahibi altthamati
And cleanse my heart from the murk of dubiosity;

يَا رَحِيماً بِعِبَادِهِ المُؤْمِنِينَ.
ya rahiman bi`ibadihi almu´minina
O He Who is merciful to His faithful servants.

Alternate Translation
“O‟ my God! Please cover me with Your Mercy today. Please bless me with success and protection during it. Please cleanse my heart from the darkness of false accusations. O‟ Merciful to His sinful servants!”

5.Day Dua II- Iqbal Aamal-29th

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي‌ يَعْلَمُ ما يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ ما يَخْرُجُ مِنْها وَ ما يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ وَ ما يَعْرُجُ فِيها وَ لَا يَشْغَلُهُ‌ ما يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ وَ ما يَعْرُجُ فِيها
“Glory be to God who knows all that enters the earth and all that emerges therefrom and all that comes down from the sky and all that ascends therein.

عَمَّا يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ ما يَخْرُجُ مِنْها وَ لَا يَشْغَلُهُ‌ ما يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ ما يَخْرُجُ مِنْها عَمَّا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ وَ ما يَعْرُجُ فِيها و
What enters the earth and what emerges therefrom do not divert His Attention from what comes down from the sky and what ascends therein; and what comes down from the sky and what ascends therein do not divert His Attention from what enters the earth and what emerges therefrom.

َ لَا يَشْغَلُهُ عِلْمُ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَنْ عِلْمِ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ لَا يَشْغَلُهُ خَلْقُ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَنْ خَلْقِ شَيْ‌ءٍ
Awareness of one thing does not divert his attention from the awareness of another thing. Creation of one thing does not divert His Attention from the creation of another thing.

وَ لَا حِفْظُ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَنْ حِفْظِ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ لَا يُسَاوِيهِ شَيْ‌ءٌ وَ لَا يَعْدِلُهُ شَيْ‌ءٌ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْ‌ءٌ وَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

Watching over one thing does not divert His Attention from watching over another thing. Nothing is comparable to Him, nor is there anything to rival Him. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ
Glory be to God, the Creator of the breath of life!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْمُصَوِّرِ
Glory be to God, the Bestower of Forms!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ الْأَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا
Glory be to God who created all the pairs, male and female!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَ النُّورِ
Glory be to God who fixed the darkness and light!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَ النَّوَى سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ
Glory be to God who splits grains and seeds! Glory be to God, the Creator of all things!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرَى وَ مَا لَا يُرَى
Glory be to God, the Creator of the seen and the unseen!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ‌
Glory be to God to the Extent of His Words!

سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ رَبِ‌
Glory be to God – Lord of the worlds.‟

6.Syed Ibn Baqi Dua- Iqbal Aamal 29th

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ‌ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدى‌
O Allah, indeed I ask You, O He who is the most knowledgeable of those who are guided,

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ‌ سَبْعَ سَماواتٍ طِباقاً
and I ask You, O He who created seven heavens in layers,

وَ جَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُوراً وَ الشَّمْسَ سِراجاً
and made the moon therein a light and the sun a lamp,

يَا مَنْ لَا يُوجَدُ [لَا نَجِدُ] مِنْ دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَداً
O He who finds no equivalent,

يَا مَنْ أَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِ‌
O He who encompasses everything He has

وَ أَحْصى‌ كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَدَداً
and has counted everything in number,

يَا أَهْلَ التَّقْوَى وَ يَا أَهْلَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
O the one of piety and O the one of forgiveness,

يَا مَنْ هُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلى‌ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتى
O He who is capable of giving life to the dead.

‌ يَا مَنْ أَعَدَّ لِلْكافِرِينَ سَلاسِلَ وَ أَغْلالًا وَ سَعِيراً
O He who has prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blazing fire,

يَا مُرْسِلَ الْمُرْسَلَاتِ وَ الْعَاصِفَاتِ
O the sender of the winds, the storms,

وَ النَّاشِرَاتِ وَ الْفَارِقَاتِ وَ الْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْراً
the spreaders, the distinguishers, and the reminders,

يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ‌ الْأَرْضَ كِفاتاً أَحْياءً وَ أَمْواتاً
O He who created the earth for the living and the dead,

وَ جَعَلَ‌ فِيها رَواسِيَ شامِخاتٍ
and made therein lofty mountains,

‌ وَ أَسْقَى عِبَادَهُ‌ ماءً فُراتاً
and watered His servants with sweet water,

أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ‌ الْأَوَّلُ وَ الْآخِرُ
I ask You by Your name, You are Allah, the First and the Last,

وَ الظَّاهِرُ وَ الْباطِنُ‌ وَ أَنْتَ‌ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَلِيمٌ‌
the Manifest and the Hidden, and You know everything,

وَ بِمَا سَأَلَكَ بِهِ السَّائِلُونَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ
and by what Your righteous servants have asked of You,

أَنْ تَرْزُقَنِي فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَ الْعَمَلَ الصَّالِحَ
to grant me the ability to do good deeds and righteous work,

وَ اجْتِنَابَ الْفَوَاحِشِ وَ مَا لَا تَرْضَى بِهِ
and to avoid indecencies and what You do not approve of,

يَا مَنْ لَا يُعْجِزُهُ شَيْ‌ءٌ أَرَادَهُ
O He who is not impeded by anything He wishes,

وَ يَا مَنْ لَا يَتَعَاظَمُهُ غُفْرَانُ الذُّنُوبِ الْعِظَامِ
and O He who is not overwhelmed by forgiving great sins,

يَا مَنْ يُقِيلُ الْعَاثِرِينَ وَ يَعْفُو عَنِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ
O He who excuses those who slip, forgives the sinners,

وَ يَتَكَرَّمُ عَلَى الْمُسِيئِينَ
bestows favor upon the wrongdoers,

وَ يَفْتَحُ بَابَ التَّوْبَةِ لِلْخَاطِئِينَ
and opens the door of repentance to the sinners,

ارْحَمْنِي فَإِنَّكَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
have mercy on me for You are the most merciful of those who show mercy,

وَ أَعْتِقْنِي فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا مِنَ النَّارِ
and liberate me this day from the Fire,

إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Indeed, You are capable of all things,

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ
and may Allah's blessings be upon our master Muhammad the Prophet and his pure family.

7.Imam Zainul Abideen (as) Dua- Iqbal Aamal 29th
دعاء آخر في اليوم التاسع و العشرين من شهر رمضان من مجموعة مولانا زين العابدين ع‌
يَا مُكَوِّرَ اللَّيْلِ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَ مُكَوِّرَ النَّهَارِ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ
Yā mukawwira al-layli 'alā an-nahāri wa mukawwira an-nahāri 'alā al-layli
O You who wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night

يَا عَالِمُ يَا خَبِيرُ يَا رَبَّ الْأَرْبَابِ يَا سَيِّدَ السَّادَاتِ
Yā 'ālimu yā khabīru yā rabba al-arbābi yā sayyida as-sādāti
O All-Knowing, O All-Aware, O Lord of lords, O Master of masters

يَا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Yā lā ilāha illā anta waḥdaka lā sharīka laka
O There is no god but You alone, You have no partner

يَا مَنْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيَ‌ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ
Yā man huwa aqrabu ilayya min ḥabli al-warīdi
O You who are closer to me than my jugular vein

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ لَكَ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى
Yā Allāhu yā Allāhu yā Allāhu laka al-asmā'u al-ḥusnā
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, to You belong the most beautiful names

وَ الْأَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَ الْآلَاءُ
Wa al-amthālu al-'ulyā wa al-kibriyā'u wa al-ālā'u
And the highest examples, and the greatness, and the blessings

أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
As'aluka an tuṣalliya 'alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammadin
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَ أَنْ تُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ رَحْمَتَكَ
Wa an tunzila 'alaynā mina as-samā'i raḥmataka
And to send down upon us from the sky Your mercy

وَ أَنْ تَقْبَلَ صَوْمَنَا وَ صَلَاتَنَا وَ قِيَامَنَا وَ عِبَادَتَنَا وَ شُكْرَنَا
Wa an taqbala ṣawmanā wa ṣalātanā wa qiyāmanā wa 'ibādatanā wa shukranā
And to accept our fasting, our prayer, our standing, our worship, and our gratitude

وَ اجْعَلْنَا لِأَنْعُمِكَ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
Wa ij'alnā li'an'umika mina ash-shākirīna
And make us among those who are grateful for Your blessings

اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا كَمَا تَقَبَّلْتَ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
Allāhumma taqabbal minnā kamā taqabbalta mina al-muttaqīna
O Allah, accept from us as You accepted from the righteous

وَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا كَمَا غَفَرْتَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa ighfir lanā kamā ghafarta lil-mu'minīna
And forgive us as You forgave the believers

وَ ارْحَمْنَا كَمَا رَحِمْتَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa irḥamnā kamā raḥimta al-muḥsinīna
And have mercy on us as You had mercy on the good-doers

وَ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ
Wa akhrijnā mina aẓ-ẓulumāti ilā an-nūri
And bring us out from darkness into light

يَا مَنِ الْعَسِيرُ عَلَيْهِ يَسِيرٌ يَسِّرْ لَنَا قَضَاءَ حَوَائِجِنَا
Yā mani al-'asīru 'alayhi yasīrun yassir lanā qaḍā'a ḥawā'ijinā
O You for whom the difficult is easy, make easy for us the fulfillment of our needs

وَ اسْتَجِبْ لَنَا دُعَاءَنَا يَا مُجِيبَ دَعْوَةِ الْمُضْطَرِّينَ
Wa istajib lanā du'ā'anā yā mujība da'wati al-muḍṭarrīna
And answer our supplication, O Answerer of the call of the distressed

وَ أَعْطِنَا مَا سَأَلْنَاكَ يَا مُعْطِيَ السَّائِلِينَ
Wa a'ṭinā mā sa'alnāka yā mu'ṭiya as-sā'ilīna
And give us what we have asked You, O Giver to those who ask

وَ ارْزُقْنَا يَا خَيْرَ الرَّازِقِينَ
Wa irzuqnā yā khayra ar-rāziqīna
And provide for us, O Best of providers

فَإِنَّكَ‌ تَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسابٍ‌
Fa'innaka tarzuqu man tashā'u bighayri ḥisābin
For You provide for whom You will without account

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَوْفَ الْعَالِمِينَ وَ خُشُوعَ الْعَابِدِينَ
Allāhumma innī as'aluka khawfa al-'ālimīna wa khushū'a al-'ābidīna
O Allah, I ask You for the fear of the knowledgeable and the humility of the worshippers

وَ عِبَادَةَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ وَ إِخْلَاصَ الْخَاشِعِينَ وَ يَقِينَ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
Wa 'ibādata al-mukhlisīna wa ikhlāṣa al-khāshi'īna wa yaqīna al-mutawakkilīna
And the worship of the sincere, and the sincerity of the humble, and the certainty of those who rely

وَ تَوَكُّلَ الْفَائِزِينَ وَ فَوْزَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ وَ تَفَكُّرَ الذَّاكِرِينَ
Wa tawakkula al-fā'izīna wa fawza al-mukramīna wa tafakkura adh-dhākirīna
And the reliance of the successful, and the success of the honored, and the contemplation of those who remember

وَ ذِكْرَ الْمُخْبِتِينَ وَ إِخْبَاتَ الْمُسْتَقِيمِينَ وَ اسْتِقَامَةَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ
Wa dhikra al-mukhbitīna wa ikhbāta al-mustaqīmīna wa istiqāmata al-muhtadīna
And the remembrance of the humble, and the humility of the upright, and the uprightness of the guided

وَ هُدَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ إِسْلَامَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa hudā al-muslimīna wa islāma al-mu'minīna
And the guidance of the Muslims, and the submission of the believers

وَ اجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ خَالِصاً بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Wa ij'al dhālika khāliṣan biraḥmatika yā arḥama ar-rāḥimīna
And make that sincere by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful

يَا رَبَّ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ وَ عِنْدَكَ
Yā rabba al-khayri kullihi biyadika al-khayru kulluhu wa 'indaka
O Lord of all good, in Your hand is all good, and with You

وَ خَابَ مَنْ كَانَ دُعَاؤُهُ لِغَيْرِكَ
Wa khāba man kāna du'ā'uhu lighayrika
And disappointed is the one whose supplication is to other than You

وَ كُلُّ خَيْرٍ نِيلَ أَوْ أُصِيبَ فَمِنْ خَيْرِ فَضْلِكَ
Wa kullu khayrin nīla aw uṣība famin khayri faḍlika
And every good attained or reached is from the goodness of Your favor

إِلَهِي وَ سَيِّدِي فَأَعْطِنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَ سَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
Ilāhī wa sayyidī fa'a'ṭinī min faḍlika wa sa'ati raḥmatika
My God and my Master, so give me from Your favor and the vastness of Your mercy

غُفْرَانَ خَطِيئَتِي وَ سَتْرَ عَوْرَتِي وَ إِقَالَةَ عَثْرَتِي
Ghufrāna khaṭī'atī wa satra 'awratī wa iqālata 'athratī
Forgiveness of my sin, and covering of my faults, and overlooking of my stumble

وَ تَحْقِيقَ رَجَائِي وَ بُلُوغَ أَمَلِي فَإِنَّكَ ثِقَتِي وَ عُدَّتِي
Wa taḥqīqa rajā'ī wa bulūgha amalī fa'innaka thiqatī wa 'uddatī
And realization of my hope, and attainment of my aspiration, for You are my trust and my provision

وَ أَنْتَ حَسْبِي وَ كَفَى‌ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ‌
Wa anta ḥasbī wa kafā wa ni'ma al-wakīlu
And You are sufficient for me, and how excellent a guardian

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
Wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāhi al-'aliyyi al-'aẓīmi
And there is no might nor power except with Allah, the High, the Great

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ‌ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ‌
Subḥānaka lā ilāha illā anta innī kuntu mina aẓ-ẓālimīna
Glory be to You, there is no god but You, indeed I have been among the wrongdoers

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ نَفْسِي وَ دِينِي وَ مَالِي وَ وَلَدِي وَ كُلَّ ضَيْعَةٍ هِيَ لِي
Allāhumma innī astawdi'uka nafsī wa dīnī wa mālī wa waladī wa kulla ḍay'atin hiya lī
O Allah, I entrust to You my soul, my religion, my wealth, my children, and all my possessions

وَ إِخْوَانِي فِيكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa ikhwānī fīka mina al-mu'minīna
And my brothers in faith among the believers

وَ أَسْتَحْفِظُكَ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَضِيعُ ضَيْعَةٌ عَلَيَّ وَ أَنْتَ حَافِظٌ
Wa astaḥfiẓuka dhālika kullahu fa'innahu lā yaḍī'u ḍay'atun 'alayya wa anta ḥāfiẓun
And I ask You to protect all of that, for nothing is lost with You, and You are a protector

بَلْ أَنْتَ‌ خَيْرٌ حافِظاً وَ أَنْتَ‌ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ‌ وَ كَفَى بِكَ صَاحِباً
Bal anta khayrun ḥāfiẓan wa anta arḥamu ar-rāḥimīna wa kafā bika ṣāḥiban
Indeed, You are the best protector, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful, and You are sufficient as a companion

اللَّهُمَّ اذْكُرْنِي وَ جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ فِي الْمَلَأِ الْأَعْلَى بِخَيْرٍ
Allāhumma adhkur-nī wa jamī'a al-mu'minīna wa al-mu'mināti wa al-muslimīna wa al-muslimāti fī al-mala' al-a'lā bi-khayrin
O Allah, remember me and all the believing men and women, and the Muslim men and women in the highest assembly with good

وَ أَوْجِبْ لِي وَ لَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ أَفْضَلَ مَا أَوْجَبْتَ لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Wa awjib lī wa lahum min raḥmatika afḍala mā awjabta li-ahadin min 'ibādika aṣ-ṣāliḥīna
And grant me and them the best of what You have granted to any of Your righteous servants from Your mercy

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ لِوَالِدَيَّ وَ ارْحَمْهُما كَما رَبَّيانِي صَغِيراً وَ أَجْزِهِمَا عَنِّي خَيْراً
Allāhumma ighfir lī wa liwālidayya wa irḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīran wa ajzihimā 'annī khayran
O Allah, forgive me and my parents, and have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small, and reward them with good on my behalf

وَ أَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ‌ وَ عَرِّفْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي مُسْتَقَرِّ رَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Wa alḥiqnī biṣ-ṣāliḥīna wa 'arrif baynī wa baynahum fī mustaqarri raḥmatika yā arḥama ar-rāḥimīna
And join me with the righteous, and acquaint me with them in the abode of Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لَنَا بِخَيْرٍ وَ اخْتِمْ لَنَا بِخَيْرٍ وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ‌ الْخَيْرِ
Allāhumma iftaḥ lanā bi-khayrin wa ikhtim lanā bi-khayrin wa ij'alnā min ahli al-khayri
O Allah, begin for us with good and conclude for us with good, and make us among the people of good

اللَّهُمَّ بِعِلْمِكَ الْغَيْبَ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ أَحْيِنِي مَا عَلِمْتَ الْحَيَاةَ خَيْراً لِي
Allāhumma bi-'ilmika al-ghayba wa qudratika 'alā al-khayri aḥyinī mā 'alimta al-ḥayāta khayran lī
O Allah, with Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over good, keep me alive as long as You know life is better for me

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَشْيَتَكَ فِي الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهَادَةِ وَ كَلِمَةَ الْعَدْلِ فِي الرِّضَا وَ الْغَضَبِ
Allāhumma innī as'aluka khashyataka fī al-ghaybi wa ash-shahādati wa kalimata al-'adli fī ar-riḍā wa al-ghaḍabi
O Allah, I ask You for fear of You in secret and in public, and for the word of justice in satisfaction and anger

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ قُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ لَا يَنْقَطِعُ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ ضَرَّاءَ أَوْ مَضَرَّةٍ أَوْ فِتْنَةٍ مُضِلَّةٍ
Wa as'aluka qurrata 'aynin lā yanqaṭi'u wa a'ūdhu bika min ḍarrā'a aw maḍarratin aw fitnatin muḍillatin
And I ask You for a delight of the eye that never ends, and I seek refuge with You from any harm or affliction or misleading trial

وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خِزْيِكَ وَ كَشْفِ سِتْرِكَ وَ نِسْيَانِ ذِكْرِكَ
Wa a'ūdhu bika min khizyika wa kashfi sitrika wa nisyāni dhikrika
And I seek refuge with You from Your humiliation, and the removal of Your protection, and forgetting Your remembrance

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي فِي كَنَفِكَ وَ حِفْظِكَ وَ حِرْزِكَ فِي لَيْلِي وَ نَهَارِي وَ نَوْمِي وَ قَرَارِي وَ ظَعْنِي وَ أَسْفَارِي
Allāhumma innī fī kanafika wa ḥifẓika wa ḥirzika fī laylī wa nahārī wa nawmī wa qarārī wa ẓa'ni wa asfārī
O Allah, I am in Your care, Your protection, and Your safeguard in my night and day, my sleep and my wakefulness, my rest and my travel

ذِكْرُكَ شِعَارِي وَ دُعَاؤُكَ دِثَارِي
Dhikruka shi'ārī wa du'ā'uka dithārī
Your remembrance is my banner, and Your supplication is my shield

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ تَنْزِيهاً لِوَجْهِكَ الْعَظِيمِ أَجِرْنِي مِنْ عَذَابِكَ الْأَلِيمِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ أَعْدَائِكَ
Lā ilāha illā anta tanzīhan li-wajhika al-'aẓīmi ajirnī min 'adhābika al-alīmi wa min sharri a'dā'ika
There is no god but You, glorifying Your great face, protect me from Your painful punishment and from the evil of Your enemies

وَ أَضِفْ عَلَيَّ سُرَادِقَاتِ حِفْظِكَ
Wa aḍif 'alayya surādiqāti ḥifẓika
And extend over me the tents of Your protection

سُبْحَانَكَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ بِكَ آمَنْتُ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَ إِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ وَ أَنْتَ حَسْبِي وَ كَفَى‌ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ‌
Subḥānaka yā dhā al-jalāli wa al-ikrāmi bika āmantu wa 'alayka tawakkaltu wa ilayka ḥākamtu wa anta ḥasbī wa kafā wa ni'ma al-wakīlu
Glory be to You, O Possessor of majesty and honor. I have believed in You, relied on You, and referred to You for judgment. You are sufficient for me, and how excellent a guardian

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
Wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāhi al-'aliyyi al-'aẓīmi
And there is no might nor power except with Allah, the High, the Great

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
Wa ṣallā Allāhu 'alā rasūlihi sayyidinā Muḥammadin an-nabīyi wa ālihi wa sallama
And may Allah bless His Messenger, our Master Muhammad the Prophet, and his family, and grant them peace.

9 Saying goodbye
A Point about Saying Goodbye to the Month of Ramadhan If one asks and says: “What is the meaning of saying goodbye to the month of Ramadhan although the month of Ramadhan is lifeless, we say that: „The wise people before the Prophet (MGB), at his time and later always speak with the land, the homeland, youth, good times, safety and goodness. When Islamic literature appeared, it approved what the intellect and understanding decree given the fact that even the Holy Qur‟an used the same style where the Honorable the Exalted God says: “One Day We will ask Hell, “Art You filled to the full?” It will say,“Are there any more (to come)?”1 As you consider, the Noble Qur‟an informs them that Hell spoke. And the meaning of this is that it spoke with the mute tongue. There are many similar instances to this in the Noble Qur‟an, in the words of the Noble Prophet (MGB) and the Divine Leaders (MGB) - may God‟s greetings be upon them – and the words of the learned ones. And there is no need to elongate this for the wise people. Based upon this, also the mute tongue of those who pay attention to the month of Ramadhan from among the believers and the Muslims do better than those who addressed the lands and the homelands. They benefit more from it than their relatives and the month of Ramadhan is more important to them than lands and art works. Now they are forced to say farewell to it at the time of separating from the month of Ramadhan.

Saying farewell to the month of Ramadhan needs more explanation since those who say farewell to it are in several groups as follows. One group of them pursue attaining God‟s Wants and observe the etiquette of this month in public and private. They say farewell to the month of fasting like those who were loyal and kept their promise. They do so as the farewell supplications of our Master Zayn al-Abedin (MGB) with the month of Ramadhan are. Another group have acted according to God‟s Wants sometimes and have kept distance with its requirements with negligence or disobedience at other times. They should not say farewell to this month if they have not observed the fasting etiquette at its end since those who are separate from each other never say farewell to each other. The mind and the intellect require that one should say farewell to those who are in agreement with us. However, if they were behaving well when the month of Ramadhan ends, then they may say farewell to it to according to how much they respected it. Moreover, they should ask for forgiveness from God, become regretful for how they were in that month, and at the time of saying farewell, they should regret a lot for the fact that they have sometimes misbehaved during it. Another group do not spend the month of Ramadhan with sincerity. Rather, some are unhappy since the month of Ramadhan prevents them from their habits of taking God‟s Remembrance lightly while God is aware of the unseen. In reality, these people were not with the month of Ramadhan to say farewell to it. Rather, when the month of Ramadhan had landed near their house, they were not a good neighbor for it. They disliked it and they treated it badly. Thus, it does not make sense for them to say farewell to the month of Ramadhan and whatever they say shall not even be heard. O‟ man! Do not be like one to whom a needless guest enters – an important guest who has not come from there since last year – and he gives you blessings and forgiveness plus many gifts, fulfillment of your demands and attention that cannot be expressed in words. Do not be a bad host for that generous guest, do not mistreat him, debase him or treat him like a bad guest. If you do so, the guest may leave you while blaming you and you will be disgraced and regretful. Thus, either be good with him and recognize the rights of this guest who has brought along prosperity, mercy, kindness and safety from fears or at least be neutral with him. Thus, do not treat him badly and with impoliteness because you ruin yourself with your bad deeds, and you become infamous near the kings and the generous ones who have attained safety and Divine Pleasure.

Regarding the time of saying farewell with the fasting month, the following is reported on the authority of one of the Divine Leaders (MGB) in a book by a group of our scholars. It was written in a letter in which the questions of a group of the important narrators have been discussed was asked is as follows.“When is the time of saying farewell to the month of Ramadhan; because our companions have disagreement about this. Some say: “It is on its last night.” “And some say, „It is on its last day when the crescent moon of the month of Sha‟wal is seen.‟ ”
The answer: “The deeds of the month of Ramadhan are on its nights, the farewell is on its last night. However, if you fear that the month may end in less than thirty days, you should say farewell on two nights.”
This was the exact text of the narration that we had obtained and quoted. Thus, try to correct your inner self at the time of saying farewell with the month of Ramadhan since man sees his state. Choose the best time to say farewell to the virtue which existed in the month of Ramadhan. Do so in the best time on the last night as it was written in the past narration. However, if it is not possible on the last night, say farewell to it in the last moments of the last day of separating from the month of Ramadhan. Based upon this, anytime you had a good month of Ramadhan, express farewell to it on its last day or night like you say farewell to your intimate and loyal friends who recognize the right of a good guest: And regret for separating from it to the extent which you lose the benefits and rewards of a party. Cry and shed tears as you would do so when friends separate from each other after gathering together.
Al-Sheikh Ja‟far ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duristy narrated in the book Kitab al-Husna, through a chain of documents on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari:
“I went to see God‟s Prophet (MGB) on the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan. Once he (MGB) saw me, he (MGB) said, “O‟ Jabir! This is the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan. Bid farewell to it and say the following:
„O‟ my God! Please do not make this the last month of Ramadhan in our lifetime. However, if You decide to do so, then please let me enjoy Your Mercy and do not deprive me of it.‟ ” Indeed whoever recites this shall gain two benefits: He either lives to the next month of Ramadhan or is forgiven by God with His Mercy.
