Ziarat of Imam Ali (as) on day of 21 Ramadan
1.On the authority of the Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him and his family)-Iqbal Aamal- 21st
بِسْمِ الله الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillahir-rahman-nir-rahim
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ
ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallahu wah’dahu laa shareeka lahu
I bear witness that there is no God but God. He is One and there are no partners for Him
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
wa ash-hadu anna muhammadan a’bduhu wa rasooluhu
I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Prophet
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارَ حَقٌّ
wa ash-hadu annal jannata ‘haqqun wan-naara ‘haqqun
I bear witness that Paradise is true and Hell is true
وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهَا
wa annas-sa’ata aatiyatun laa rayba feeha
And I bear witness that the Hour is sure to come and there is no doubt about it
وَأَنَّ اللهُ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ
wa annallahu yab’athu man fil quboor
and that God shall resurrect the dead from the graves
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الرَّبَّ رَبِّي لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَلاَ وَلَدَ لَهُ وَلاَ وَالِدَ لَهُ
wa ash-hadu annar-rabba rabbi laa shareeka lahu wa la walada lahu wa la waalida lahu
I bear witness that the Lord is my Lord. There are no partners for Him. He has not been born and nor shall He have a child.
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ الْفَعَّالُ لِمَا يُرِيدُ وَالْقَادِرُ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
wa ash-hadu annahul fa’aalu lima yureedu wal qaadiru ‘alaa kulli shayin
I bear witness that He does whatever He Wills. He has Power over everything
وَالصَّانِعُ لِمَا يُريدُ وَالْقَاهِرُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَالرَّافِعُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ
was-‘sani’u lima yureedu wal qahiru man yasha-u war-rafi’u man yasha-u
He can create whatever He wills. He is the Subduer who can do what He wills! The Exalter of whom He pleases!
مَالِكُ الْمُلْكِ وَرَازِقُ الْعِبَادِ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ
maalikul mulki wa raaziqul ‘ibaadil ghafoorur-rahimul-alimul-halimu
Lord of Power (and Rule)! Provider of Sustenance for the people! All-Forgiving, Merciful! The Knowledgeable! The Forbearing!
أَشْهَدُ أَشْهَدُ أَشْهَدُ أَشْهَدُ أَشْهَدُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ سَيْدِي كَذلِكَ وَفَوْقَ ذلِكَ لاَ يَبْلُغُ الْوَاصِفُونَ كُنْهَ عَظَمَتِكَ
ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu annaka la yablighu sayyidi kadhalika wa fawqa dhalikal wasifoona kunha ‘adhamatik
I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness that You-my Master-are so and much more and You are He whose depth of Grandeur those who extol cannot reach
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
allahumma salli ‘alaa muhammadin wa aalihi
O God, Please send your blessings on Muhammad and His Household
وَاهْدِنِي وَلاَ تُضِلَّنِي بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنِي
wahdini wa la tudhillani b’ada idh hadaytani
Please guide me and do not let me be deviated after having guided me.
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْهَادِي الْمَهْدِيُّ.
innaka antal hadil mahdi
For surely, You are the Guide.
2.Book of companions- Iqbal Aamal -21
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُدَبِّرُ الْأُمُورِ
“There is no god but God – Director of all affairs!
وَ مُصَرِّفُ الدُّهُورِ وَ خَالِقُ الْأَشْيَاءِ جَمِيعِهَا بِحِكْمَتِهِ دَالَّةً عَلَى أَزَلِيَّتِهِ وَ قِدَمِهِ
He who brings the various periods! He who creates all things by His Wisdom to indicate His having been from ever before and His being Eternal.
جَاعِلُ الْحُقُوقِ الْوَاجِبَةِ لِمَا يَشَاءُ رَأْفَةً مِنْهُ وَ رَحْمَةً يَسْأَلُهَا سَائِلٌ وَ يَأْمُلُ [لِيَسْأَلَ بِهَا سَائِلٌ وَ يَأْمُلَ] إِجَابَةَ دُعَائِهِ بِهَا آمِلٌ
He establishes certain incumbent rights for whoever He pleases out of His Kindness and Mercy so that those who ask may use them to ask and hope for the fulfillment of their supplications.
فَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ خَلَقَ [وَ]
Glory be to Him who created.
الْأَسْبَابُ إِلَيْهِ كَثِيرَةٌ وَ الْوَسَائِلُ إِلَيْهِ مَوْجُودَةٌ
There are many means to Him, and tools exist towards Him.
وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا تَعْتَوِرُهُ فَاقَةٌ
Glory be to Him whom privation shall not destroy and need shall not debase!
وَ لَا تَسْتَذِلُّهُ حَاجَةٌ وَ لَا تُطِيفُ بِهِ ضَرُورَةٌ وَ لَا يَحْذَرُ إِبْطَاءَ رِزْقِ رَازِقٍ وَ لَا سَخْطَةَ [سَخَطَ] خَالِقٍ
He is not surrounded by any needs, and does not fear that the Provider may cut off His sustenance. He does not fear the Wrath of the Creator.
فَإِنَّهُ الْقَدِيرُ عَلَى رَحْمَةِ مَنْ هُوَ بِهَذِهِ الْخِلَالِ مَقْهُورٌ وَ فِي مَضَائِقِهَا مَحْصُورٌ يَخَافُ وَ يَرْجُو مَنْ بِيَدِهِ الْأُمُورُ وَ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى مَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
He has Mercy on those who are subject to these traits and are restricted and fear Him who controls all the affairs and to Him is all our return. He has Power over all that He Wills!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ مُؤَدِّي الرِّسَالَةِ وَ مُوضِحِ الدَّلَالَةِ
O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Your Servant, Messenger and Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) – who delivered Your Message, clarified Your Reasons.
أَوْصَلَ كِتَابَكَ وَ اسْتَحَقَّ ثَوَابَكَ وَ أَنْهَجَ سَبِيلَ حَلَالِكَ وَ حَرَامِكَ وَ كَشَفَ عَنْ شَعَائِرِكَ وَ أَعْلَامِكَ
He delivered Your Book and deserves to receive Your Reward. He clearly showed the way of what You made lawful and what You forbade, and uncovered Your Slogans and Signs.
فَإِنَّ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ الَّتِي وَسَمْتَهَا بِالْقَدْرِ وَ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهَا مُحْكَمَ الذِّكْرِ وَ فَضَّلْتَهَا عَلَى أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
Indeed this is the night which You called the Night of Destiny, and on which You sent down Your Solid Book, and made it nobler than a thousand months.
وَ هِيَ لَيْلَةُ مَوَاهِبِ الْمَقْبُولِينَ وَ مَصَائِبِ الْمَرْدُودِينَ فَيَا خُسْرَانَ مَنْ بَاءَ فِيهَا بِسَخَطِهِ وَ يَا وَيْحَ مَنْ حُظِيَ فِيهَا بِرَحْمَتِهِ
It is the night of gifts for the accepted and calamities for the rejected. Woe be upon those who return with Your Wrath and blessed be those who enjoy Your Mercy on that night.
اللَّهُمَّ فَارْزُقْنِي قِيَامَهَا وَ النَّظَرَ إِلَى مَا عَظَّمْتَ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ حُضُورِ أَجَلٍ وَ لَا قُرْبِهِ وَ لَا انْقِطَاعِ أَمَلٍ وَ لَا فَوْتِهِ
O‟ God! Please bless me with waking up at nights during it, and considering what You exalted on it without my death or its approach without losing hope or missing that night.
وَ وَفِّقْنِي فِيهَا لِعَمَلٍ تَرْفَعُهُ وَ دُعَاءٍ تَسْمَعُهُ وَ تَضَرُّعٍ تَرْحَمُهُ وَ شَرٍّ تَصْرِفُهُ وَ خَيْرٍ تَهَبُهُ وَ غُفْرَانٍ تُوجِبُهُ وَ رِزْقٍ تُوَسِّعُهُ وَ دَنَسٍ تُطَهِّرُهُ وَ إِثْمٍ تَغْسِلُهُ وَ دَيْنٍ تَقْضِيهِ وَ حَقٍّ تَتَحَمَّلُهُ وَ تُؤَدِّيهُ وَ صِحَّةٍ تُتِمُّهَا وَ عَافِيَةٍ تُنْمِيهَا وَ أَشْعَاثٍ تَلُمُّهَا وَ أَمْرَاضٍ تَكْشِفُهَا [تَشْفِيهَا] وَ صَنْعَةٍ تَكْنِفُهَا وَ مَوَاهِبَ تَكْثِفُهَا وَ مَصَائِبَ تَصْرِفُهَا وَ أَوْلَادٍ وَ أَهْلٍ تُصْلِحُهُمْ
Grant me success in doing deeds that would be raised up, heard supplications, mercied crying, removed evil, bestowed good, sure forgiveness, extended sustenance, purified offenses,cleansed sins, payed off debts, rights honored, perfected health, continued well-being, alleviated worries, remedied ailments, supported good deeds, disclosed good acts, removed calamities, behaved children and a good wife.
وَ أَعْدَاءٍتَغْلِبُهُمْ وَ تَقْهَرُهُمْ وَ تَكْفِي مَا أَهَمَّ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَ تَقْدِرُ عَلَى قُدْرَتِهِمْ وَ تَسْطُو بِسَطَوَاتِهِمْ وَ تَصُولُ عَلَى صَوْلَاتِهِمْ وَ تَغُلُّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِلَى صُدُورِهِمْ وَ تُخْرِسُ عَنْ مَكَارِهِي أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ وَ تَرُدُّ رُءُوسَهُمْ عَلَى صُدُورِهِمْ
Please defeat and overcome enemies, take care of their sorrowful acts, overcome their power, attack them back, defeat them, tie their hands to their chests, dumb their tongues from what disturbs me, and force them to bend their heads down towards their chests.
اللَّهُمَّ سَيِّدِي وَ مَوْلَايَ اكْفِنِي الْبَغْيَ وَ مُصَارَعَةَ الْغَدْرِ وَ مَعَاطِبَهُ وَ اكْفِنِي
O‟ my God! O‟ my Master and Guardian! Please protect me against oppression, failure, betrayal and being fooled.
سَيِّدِي شَرَّ عِبَادِكَ وَ اكْفِ شَرَّ جَمِيعِ عِبَادِكَ وَ انْشُرْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَيْرَاتِ مِنِّي حَتَّى تُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
O‟ my Master! Please take care of the evils of Your creatures for me. Please take care of the evils of all Your creatures for me. Please grant them blessings from me until it is sent to me in the latest generations.
وَ اذْكُرْ وَالِدَيَّ وَ جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ ذِكْرَى سَيِّدٍ قَرِيبٍ لِعَبِيدٍ وَ إِمَاءٍ فَارَقُوا الْأَحِبَّاءَ وَ خَرِسُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى وَ صَمُّوا عَنِ النِّدَاءِ وَ حَلُّوا أَطْبَاقَ الثَّرَى وَ تُمَزِّقُهُمُ الْبِلَى
Remember my parents and all the believing men and women with Your Mercy and Forgiveness like a master does for his servants and maids who have been separated from their friends, cannot hear or whisper, and with residence between the layers of the earth; whom calamities have torn into pieces.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ أَوْجَبْتَ لِوَالِدَيَّ عَلَيَّ حَقّاً وَ قَدْ أَدَّيْتُهُ بِالاسْتِغْفَارِ لَهُمَا إِلَيْكَ إِذْ لَا قُدْرَةَ لِي عَلَى قَضَائِهِ إِلَّا مِنْ جِهَتِكَ وَ فَرَضْتَ لَهُمَا فِي دُعَائِي فَرْضاً قَدْ أَوْفَدْتُهُ عَلَيْكَ
O‟ my God! Indeed You have established a right for my parents incumbent upon me that I fulfilled by asking You for forgiveness for them. I cannot fulfill this right except through You. And You made it obligatory to pray for them and I prayed for them to You.
إِذْ حَلَّتْ بِيَ الْقُدْرَةُ عَلَى وَاجِبِهَا وَ أَنْتَ تَقْدِرُ وَ كُنْتُ لَا أَمْلِكُ وَ أَنْتَ تَمْلِكُ
I only have the power to do that much, but You have Power. I have no authority but You do!
اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْلُلْ فِيمَا أَوْجَبْتَ وَ لَا تُسَلِّمْنِي فِيمَا فَرَضْتَ
O‟ my God! Do not punish me for what You made incumbent on me, and do not turn me over to others in what You made incumbent.
وَ أَشْرِكْنِي فِي كُلِّ صَالِحِ دُعَاءٍ أَجَبْتَهُ وَ أَشْرِكْ فِي صَالِحِ دُعَائِي جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ إِلَّا مَنْ عَادَى أَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَ حَارَبَ أَصْفِيَاءَكَ وَ أَعْقَبَ بِسُوءِ الْخِلَافَةِ أَنْبِيَاءَكَ وَ مَاتَ عَلَى ضَلَالَتِهِ وَ انْطَوَى فِي غَوَايَتِهِ
Let me have a share of all good prayers, and let all the believing men and women have a share of my prayers except for those who opposed Your Friends and fought with Your Chosen Ones. They wrongfully took charge of the affairs after Your Prophets (as), died in their state of deviation and were entrapped in their own loss.
فَإِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَهُمْ أَنْتَ الْقَائِمُ عَلى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِما كَسَبَتْ غَفَّارٌ لِلصَّغَائِرِ وَ الْمُوبِقُ بِالْكَبَائِرِ بِ لا إِلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
I disown from praying for them to You. You hold everyone responsible for what they earn! You forgive minor sins and destroy major sins by There is no God but You.
سُبْحانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ فَانْشُرْ عَلَيَّ رَأْفَتَكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ كَثِيراً.
‟ Glory be to You! I am amongst the oppressors! Please cover me with Your Kindness – O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. And may God bestow blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) and greet them many times.‟
4.Popular DAY Dua 21st
اللّهُمّ اجْعَلْ لِي فِيهِ إِلَى مَرْضَاتِكَ دَلِيلاً،
allahumma aj`al li fihi ila mardatika dalilan
O Allah; on this day, (please) make for me a course that takes me to Your pleasure;
وَلا تَجْعَلْ لِلشّيْطَانِ فِيهِ عَلَيّ سَبِيلاً،
wa la taj`al lilshshitani fihi `alayya sabilan
And do not make for Satan a course to me;
وَاجْعَلِ الجَنّةَ لِي مَنْزِلاً وَمَقِيلاً،
waj`ali aljannata li manzilan wa maqilan
And make Paradise my home and dwelling;
يَا قَاضِيَ حَوَائِجِ الطَّالِبِينَ.
ya qadiya hawa’iji alttalibina
O He Who settles the needs of the beseechers.
6.Syed Ibn Baqi Dua- Iqbal Aamal 21st
يَا مَنْ رَفَعَ السَّماواتِ [السَّمَاءِ] بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَها
O Allah, O He who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see,
ثُمَّ اسْتَوى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ
then established Himself upon the Throne, managing the affair,
ما مِنْ شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ
there is no intercessor except after His permission.
يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ ما تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنْثى
O He who knows what every female carries
وَ ما تَغِيضُ الْأَرْحامُ وَ ما تَزْدادُ
and what the wombs decrease and increase,
وَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدارٍ
and everything with Him is measured,
عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَعالِ
the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Most High.
يَا مَنْ يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ
O He for whom the thunder glorifies with His praise,
وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ
and so do the angels out of fear of Him.
يَا مَنْ بِذِكْرِهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
O He by whose remembrance hearts find peace.
يَا مَنْ يَمْحُو ما يَشاءُ
O He who erases what He wills and establishes,
وَ يُثْبِتُ وَ عِنْدَهُ أُمُّ الْكِتابِ
and with Him is the Mother of the Book.
يَا مَنْ لا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِ
O He against whose decree there is no appeal,
وَ هُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسابِ
and He is quick in account.
يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِي وَ مَا نُعْلِنُ
O He who knows what we conceal and what we reveal,
وَ ما يَخْفى عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لا فِي السَّماءِ
and nothing is hidden from Allah on earth or in heaven.
يَا مَنْ جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجاً
O He who made constellations in the sky
وَ زَيَّنَهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
and adorned it for beholders.
يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ
O He who created man from a drop of semen,
فَإِذا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُبِينٌ
then suddenly he is a clear adversary.
يَا مَنْ جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهارَ خِلْفَةً
O He who made the night and the day follow each other
لِمَنْ أَرادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرادَ شُكُوراً
for whoever wants to remember or wants to give thanks.
يَا مَنْ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ ما فِي الْأَرْضِ
O He to whom everything in the heavens and the earth prostrates,
مِنْ دابَّةٍ وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ وَ هُمْ لا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
including every creature and the angels, and they do not become proud.
يَا مَنْ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَ الْإِحْسانِ
O He who commands justice, good conduct,
وَ إِيتاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبى وَ يَنْهى عَنِ السُّوءِ
and giving to relatives, and forbids evil
وَ الْفَحْشاءِ وَ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ الْبَغْيِ
And immorality, bad conduct, and oppression.
يَا مَنْ هُوَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا
O He who is with those who fear Him
وَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مُحْسِنُونَ
and those who are doers of good.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا نَاجَيْتُكَ بِهِ مِنْ مِدْحَتِكَ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا
O Allah, I ask You by what I have whispered to You of Your praise today,
وَ فِيمَا قَبْلَهُ وَ فِيمَا بَعْدَهُ بِمَا لَوْ عَلِمْتُهُ لَسَأَلْتُكَ بِهِ
yesterday, and in the days to come, with what I would have asked You by
مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ الْعِظَامِ ارْزُقْنِي خَوْفَ الْعَامِلِينَ
from Your greatest names had I known them, to grant me the fear of those who work,
وَ عَمَلَ الْخَائِفِينَ وَ خُشُوعَ الْعَابِدِينَ
the deeds of those who fear, the humility of those who worship,
وَ عِبَادَةَ الْخَاشِعِينَ وَ يَقِينَ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
the worship of those who are humble, the certainty of those who rely on You,
وَ تَوَكُّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ إِنَابَةَ الْمُخْبِتِينَ
the reliance of the believers, the repentance of those who turn back to You,
وَ سَائِرَ مَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُونَ
and everything Your righteous servants asked of You,
وَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الْأَئِمَّةَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
what You granted Your prophets, the pure Imams, and the close angels.
وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي نَفْسِيَ الْقَاسِيَةَ وَ قَلْبِيَ الْفَاسِدَ
Rectify for me my hardened soul, my corrupt heart,
وَ عَقْلِيَ النَّاقِصَ وَ فُكَّ عُنُقِي مِنَ النَّارِ
my deficient intellect, and liberate my neck from the fire.
وَ ارْزُقْنِي الْجَنَّةَ وَ الْأَمْنَ فِي الدُّنْ يَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Grant me Paradise, safety in this world and the Hereafter,
وَ أَغْنِنِي عَنْ خَلْقِكَ كُلِّهِمْ بِفَضْلِكَ
and enrich me from Your bounty so that I do not need anyone else.
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O Most Merciful of the Merciful,
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ.
and may peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.
7.Imam Zainul Abideen (as) Dua- Iqbal Aamal 21st
يَا مُولِجَ اللَّيْلِ فِي النَّهَارِ وَ مُولِجَ النَّهَارِ فِي اللَّيْلِ
Yā mulija al-layli fi al-nahāri wa mulija al-nahāri fi al-layl
O You who cause the night to enter into the day, and cause the day to enter into the night.
وَ مُخْرِجَ الْحَيِّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَ مُخْرِجَ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ
Wa mukhrija al-ḥayyi mina al-mayyiti wa mukhrija al-mayyiti mina al-ḥayyi
And bringer forth of the living from the dead, and bringer forth of the dead from the living.
يَا رَازِقَ مَنْ يَشاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسابٍ
Yā rāziqa man yashā'u bighayri ḥisāb
O Provider to whomsoever He wills without measure.
يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ
Yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān, yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān
O Allah, O Most Merciful! O Allah, O Most Merciful!
يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ
Yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān, yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān
O Allah, O Most Merciful! O Allah, O Most Merciful!
لَكَ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى وَ الْأَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَ الْآلَاءُ
Laka al-asmā’u al-ḥusnā wa al-amthālu al-‘ulyā wa al-kibriyā’u wa al-ālā’u
To You belong the Most Beautiful Names, the highest examples, the majesty, and the blessings.
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
As’aluka an tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِبِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Wa as’aluka bi-Bismi Allāhi al-Raḥmāni al-Raḥīm
And I ask You by "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."
أَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِي فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ الشَّرِيفِ مِنَ السُّعَدَاءِ
An taj‘ala ismī fī hādhā al-yawmi al-sharīf mina al-su‘adā’
That You make my name on this noble day among the fortunate.
وَ رُوحِي مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ
Wa rūḥī ma‘a al-shuhadā’
And my soul among the martyrs.
وَ عَمَلِي مَقْبُولًا وَ حَسَنَاتِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ
Wa ‘amalī maqbūlan wa ḥasanātī fī ‘illiyyīn
And my deeds accepted, and my good actions in the highest ranks.
وَ ذُنُوبِي مَغْفُورَةً يَا رَبَالْعَالَمِينَ
Wa dhunūbī maghfūrah yā Rabba al-‘ālamīn
And my sins forgiven, O Lord of the Worlds.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ يَقِيناً صَادِقاً يُبَاشِرُ قَلْبِي
Wa as’aluka yaqīnan ṣādiqan yubāshiru qalbī
And I ask You for true certainty that fills my heart.
وَ إِيمَاناً يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي
Wa īmānan yudhhibu al-shakka ‘annī
And faith that removes doubt from me.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ قَلْباً خَاشِعاً وَ عِلْماً نَافِعاً
Wa as’aluka qalban khāshi‘an wa ‘ilman nāfi‘an
And I ask You for a humble heart and beneficial knowledge.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ
Wa as’aluka al-‘āfiyata min kulli balīyah
And I ask You for well-being from every affliction.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ تَمَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَ دَوَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ
Wa as’aluka tamāma al-‘āfiyati wa dawāma al-‘āfiyah
And I ask You for complete well-being and its continuity.
يَا وَلِيَّ الْعَافِيَةِ جَمِّلْ عَلَيَّ بِالسَّتْرِ
Yā waliyy al-‘āfiyah, jammil ‘alayya bi al-sitr
O Guardian of well-being, bestow upon me protection.
وَ السَّلَامَةِ وَ الْعَافِيَةِ فِي الدِّينِ وَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Wa al-salāmah wa al-‘āfiyah fī al-dīn wa al-dunyā wa al-ākhirah
And grant me safety and well-being in religion, in this world, and in the Hereafter.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُبَارِكَ لِي فِيمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
Allāhumma innī as’aluka an tubārika lī fīmā qasamta lī
O Allah, I ask You to bless me in what You have allotted for me.
وَ آتِنِي فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
Wa ātinī fī al-dunyā ḥasanah wa fī al-ākhirah ḥasanah
And grant me goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter.
وَ قِنِي عَذابَ النَّارِ
Wa qinī ‘adhāba al-nār
And protect me from the punishment of the Fire.
وَ عَذابَ الْحَرِيقِ وَ عَذابَ السَّعِيرِ وَ عَذابَ الْجَحِيمِ
Wa ‘adhāba al-ḥarīq, wa ‘adhāba al-sa‘īr, wa ‘adhāba al-jaḥīm
And from the torment of burning, the blazing Hell, and the abyss of Hellfire.
وَ عَذابَ السَّمُومِ وَ عَذابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Wa ‘adhāba al-samūm, wa ‘adhāba al-khizy fī al-dunyā wa al-ākhirah
And from the scorching torment and the humiliation in this world and the Hereafter.
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَدْنَى وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَكْبَرِ
Wa a‘ūdhu bika mina al-‘adhābi al-adnā wa a‘ūdhu bika mina al-‘adhābi al-akbar
And I seek refuge in You from the lesser punishment, and I seek refuge in You from the greater punishment.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Allāhumma Rabba Muḥammad wa Āli Muḥammad, ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa Āli Muḥammad
O Allah, Lord of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family.
وَ ارْزُقْنِي فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ شُكْرَكَ وَ ذِكْرَكَ
Wa arzuqnī fī hādhihi al-laylah shukraka wa dhikraka
And grant me in this night gratitude towards You and remembrance of You.
وَ الرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ وَ الْإِنَابَةَ وَ الْإِخْلَاصَ وَ الْخُشُوعَ
Wa al-raghbata ilayka wa al-inābah wa al-ikhlāṣ wa al-khushū‘
And the longing for You, repentance, sincerity, and humility.
وَ الْإِخْبَاتَ وَ الْيَقِينَ لِمَا يُرْضِيكَ عَنِّي يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Wa al-ikhbāta wa al-yaqīn limā yurḍīka ‘annī yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn
And submissiveness and certainty in what pleases You concerning me, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ لَا تَرُدَّنِي خَائِباً وَ لَا مَقْبُوحاً
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa Āli Muḥammad, wa lā taruddani khā’iban wa lā maqbūḥan
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and do not return me disappointed or rejected.
وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمَقْبُولِينَ وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْفَائِزِينَ
Wa aj‘alnī mina al-maqbūlīn wa fī al-ākhirah mina al-fā’izīn
And make me among the accepted ones, and in the Hereafter among the successful ones.
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Bi raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
Wa ṣallā Allāhu ‘alā sayyidinā Muḥammad al-nabiyy wa ālihi wa sallam
And may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad, the Prophet, and his family, and grant them peace.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُدَبِّرُ الْأُمُورِ
“There is no god but God – Director of all affairs!
وَ مُصَرِّفُ الدُّهُورِ وَ خَالِقُ الْأَشْيَاءِ جَمِيعِهَا بِحِكْمَتِهِ دَالَّةً عَلَى أَزَلِيَّتِهِ وَ قِدَمِهِ
He who brings the various periods! He who creates all things by His Wisdom to indicate His having been from ever before and His being Eternal.
جَاعِلُ الْحُقُوقِ الْوَاجِبَةِ لِمَا يَشَاءُ رَأْفَةً مِنْهُ وَ رَحْمَةً يَسْأَلُهَا سَائِلٌ وَ يَأْمُلُ [لِيَسْأَلَ بِهَا سَائِلٌ وَ يَأْمُلَ] إِجَابَةَ دُعَائِهِ بِهَا آمِلٌ
He establishes certain incumbent rights for whoever He pleases out of His Kindness and Mercy so that those who ask may use them to ask and hope for the fulfillment of their supplications.
فَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ خَلَقَ [وَ]
Glory be to Him who created.
الْأَسْبَابُ إِلَيْهِ كَثِيرَةٌ وَ الْوَسَائِلُ إِلَيْهِ مَوْجُودَةٌ
There are many means to Him, and tools exist towards Him.
وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا تَعْتَوِرُهُ فَاقَةٌ
Glory be to Him whom privation shall not destroy and need shall not debase!
وَ لَا تَسْتَذِلُّهُ حَاجَةٌ وَ لَا تُطِيفُ بِهِ ضَرُورَةٌ وَ لَا يَحْذَرُ إِبْطَاءَ رِزْقِ رَازِقٍ وَ لَا سَخْطَةَ [سَخَطَ] خَالِقٍ
He is not surrounded by any needs, and does not fear that the Provider may cut off His sustenance. He does not fear the Wrath of the Creator.
فَإِنَّهُ الْقَدِيرُ عَلَى رَحْمَةِ مَنْ هُوَ بِهَذِهِ الْخِلَالِ مَقْهُورٌ وَ فِي مَضَائِقِهَا مَحْصُورٌ يَخَافُ وَ يَرْجُو مَنْ بِيَدِهِ الْأُمُورُ وَ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى مَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
He has Mercy on those who are subject to these traits and are restricted and fear Him who controls all the affairs and to Him is all our return. He has Power over all that He Wills!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ مُؤَدِّي الرِّسَالَةِ وَ مُوضِحِ الدَّلَالَةِ
O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Your Servant, Messenger and Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) – who delivered Your Message, clarified Your Reasons.
أَوْصَلَ كِتَابَكَ وَ اسْتَحَقَّ ثَوَابَكَ وَ أَنْهَجَ سَبِيلَ حَلَالِكَ وَ حَرَامِكَ وَ كَشَفَ عَنْ شَعَائِرِكَ وَ أَعْلَامِكَ
He delivered Your Book and deserves to receive Your Reward. He clearly showed the way of what You made lawful and what You forbade, and uncovered Your Slogans and Signs.
فَإِنَّ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ الَّتِي وَسَمْتَهَا بِالْقَدْرِ وَ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهَا مُحْكَمَ الذِّكْرِ وَ فَضَّلْتَهَا عَلَى أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
Indeed this is the night which You called the Night of Destiny, and on which You sent down Your Solid Book, and made it nobler than a thousand months.
وَ هِيَ لَيْلَةُ مَوَاهِبِ الْمَقْبُولِينَ وَ مَصَائِبِ الْمَرْدُودِينَ فَيَا خُسْرَانَ مَنْ بَاءَ فِيهَا بِسَخَطِهِ وَ يَا وَيْحَ مَنْ حُظِيَ فِيهَا بِرَحْمَتِهِ
It is the night of gifts for the accepted and calamities for the rejected. Woe be upon those who return with Your Wrath and blessed be those who enjoy Your Mercy on that night.
اللَّهُمَّ فَارْزُقْنِي قِيَامَهَا وَ النَّظَرَ إِلَى مَا عَظَّمْتَ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ حُضُورِ أَجَلٍ وَ لَا قُرْبِهِ وَ لَا انْقِطَاعِ أَمَلٍ وَ لَا فَوْتِهِ
O‟ God! Please bless me with waking up at nights during it, and considering what You exalted on it without my death or its approach without losing hope or missing that night.
وَ وَفِّقْنِي فِيهَا لِعَمَلٍ تَرْفَعُهُ وَ دُعَاءٍ تَسْمَعُهُ وَ تَضَرُّعٍ تَرْحَمُهُ وَ شَرٍّ تَصْرِفُهُ وَ خَيْرٍ تَهَبُهُ وَ غُفْرَانٍ تُوجِبُهُ وَ رِزْقٍ تُوَسِّعُهُ وَ دَنَسٍ تُطَهِّرُهُ وَ إِثْمٍ تَغْسِلُهُ وَ دَيْنٍ تَقْضِيهِ وَ حَقٍّ تَتَحَمَّلُهُ وَ تُؤَدِّيهُ وَ صِحَّةٍ تُتِمُّهَا وَ عَافِيَةٍ تُنْمِيهَا وَ أَشْعَاثٍ تَلُمُّهَا وَ أَمْرَاضٍ تَكْشِفُهَا [تَشْفِيهَا] وَ صَنْعَةٍ تَكْنِفُهَا وَ مَوَاهِبَ تَكْثِفُهَا وَ مَصَائِبَ تَصْرِفُهَا وَ أَوْلَادٍ وَ أَهْلٍ تُصْلِحُهُمْ
Grant me success in doing deeds that would be raised up, heard supplications, mercied crying, removed evil, bestowed good, sure forgiveness, extended sustenance, purified offenses,cleansed sins, payed off debts, rights honored, perfected health, continued well-being, alleviated worries, remedied ailments, supported good deeds, disclosed good acts, removed calamities, behaved children and a good wife.
وَ أَعْدَاءٍتَغْلِبُهُمْ وَ تَقْهَرُهُمْ وَ تَكْفِي مَا أَهَمَّ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَ تَقْدِرُ عَلَى قُدْرَتِهِمْ وَ تَسْطُو بِسَطَوَاتِهِمْ وَ تَصُولُ عَلَى صَوْلَاتِهِمْ وَ تَغُلُّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِلَى صُدُورِهِمْ وَ تُخْرِسُ عَنْ مَكَارِهِي أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ وَ تَرُدُّ رُءُوسَهُمْ عَلَى صُدُورِهِمْ
Please defeat and overcome enemies, take care of their sorrowful acts, overcome their power, attack them back, defeat them, tie their hands to their chests, dumb their tongues from what disturbs me, and force them to bend their heads down towards their chests.
اللَّهُمَّ سَيِّدِي وَ مَوْلَايَ اكْفِنِي الْبَغْيَ وَ مُصَارَعَةَ الْغَدْرِ وَ مَعَاطِبَهُ وَ اكْفِنِي
O‟ my God! O‟ my Master and Guardian! Please protect me against oppression, failure, betrayal and being fooled.
سَيِّدِي شَرَّ عِبَادِكَ وَ اكْفِ شَرَّ جَمِيعِ عِبَادِكَ وَ انْشُرْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَيْرَاتِ مِنِّي حَتَّى تُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
O‟ my Master! Please take care of the evils of Your creatures for me. Please take care of the evils of all Your creatures for me. Please grant them blessings from me until it is sent to me in the latest generations.
وَ اذْكُرْ وَالِدَيَّ وَ جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ ذِكْرَى سَيِّدٍ قَرِيبٍ لِعَبِيدٍ وَ إِمَاءٍ فَارَقُوا الْأَحِبَّاءَ وَ خَرِسُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى وَ صَمُّوا عَنِ النِّدَاءِ وَ حَلُّوا أَطْبَاقَ الثَّرَى وَ تُمَزِّقُهُمُ الْبِلَى
Remember my parents and all the believing men and women with Your Mercy and Forgiveness like a master does for his servants and maids who have been separated from their friends, cannot hear or whisper, and with residence between the layers of the earth; whom calamities have torn into pieces.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ أَوْجَبْتَ لِوَالِدَيَّ عَلَيَّ حَقّاً وَ قَدْ أَدَّيْتُهُ بِالاسْتِغْفَارِ لَهُمَا إِلَيْكَ إِذْ لَا قُدْرَةَ لِي عَلَى قَضَائِهِ إِلَّا مِنْ جِهَتِكَ وَ فَرَضْتَ لَهُمَا فِي دُعَائِي فَرْضاً قَدْ أَوْفَدْتُهُ عَلَيْكَ
O‟ my God! Indeed You have established a right for my parents incumbent upon me that I fulfilled by asking You for forgiveness for them. I cannot fulfill this right except through You. And You made it obligatory to pray for them and I prayed for them to You.
إِذْ حَلَّتْ بِيَ الْقُدْرَةُ عَلَى وَاجِبِهَا وَ أَنْتَ تَقْدِرُ وَ كُنْتُ لَا أَمْلِكُ وَ أَنْتَ تَمْلِكُ
I only have the power to do that much, but You have Power. I have no authority but You do!
اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْلُلْ فِيمَا أَوْجَبْتَ وَ لَا تُسَلِّمْنِي فِيمَا فَرَضْتَ
O‟ my God! Do not punish me for what You made incumbent on me, and do not turn me over to others in what You made incumbent.
وَ أَشْرِكْنِي فِي كُلِّ صَالِحِ دُعَاءٍ أَجَبْتَهُ وَ أَشْرِكْ فِي صَالِحِ دُعَائِي جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ إِلَّا مَنْ عَادَى أَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَ حَارَبَ أَصْفِيَاءَكَ وَ أَعْقَبَ بِسُوءِ الْخِلَافَةِ أَنْبِيَاءَكَ وَ مَاتَ عَلَى ضَلَالَتِهِ وَ انْطَوَى فِي غَوَايَتِهِ
Let me have a share of all good prayers, and let all the believing men and women have a share of my prayers except for those who opposed Your Friends and fought with Your Chosen Ones. They wrongfully took charge of the affairs after Your Prophets (as), died in their state of deviation and were entrapped in their own loss.
فَإِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَهُمْ أَنْتَ الْقَائِمُ عَلى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِما كَسَبَتْ غَفَّارٌ لِلصَّغَائِرِ وَ الْمُوبِقُ بِالْكَبَائِرِ بِ لا إِلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
I disown from praying for them to You. You hold everyone responsible for what they earn! You forgive minor sins and destroy major sins by There is no God but You.
سُبْحانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ فَانْشُرْ عَلَيَّ رَأْفَتَكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ كَثِيراً.
‟ Glory be to You! I am amongst the oppressors! Please cover me with Your Kindness – O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. And may God bestow blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) and greet them many times.‟
6.Syed Ibn Baqi Dua- Iqbal Aamal 21st
يَا مَنْ رَفَعَ السَّماواتِ [السَّمَاءِ] بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَها
O Allah, O He who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see,
ثُمَّ اسْتَوى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ
then established Himself upon the Throne, managing the affair,
ما مِنْ شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ
there is no intercessor except after His permission.
يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ ما تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنْثى
O He who knows what every female carries
وَ ما تَغِيضُ الْأَرْحامُ وَ ما تَزْدادُ
and what the wombs decrease and increase,
وَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدارٍ
and everything with Him is measured,
عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَعالِ
the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Most High.
يَا مَنْ يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ
O He for whom the thunder glorifies with His praise,
وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ
and so do the angels out of fear of Him.
يَا مَنْ بِذِكْرِهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
O He by whose remembrance hearts find peace.
يَا مَنْ يَمْحُو ما يَشاءُ
O He who erases what He wills and establishes,
وَ يُثْبِتُ وَ عِنْدَهُ أُمُّ الْكِتابِ
and with Him is the Mother of the Book.
يَا مَنْ لا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِ
O He against whose decree there is no appeal,
وَ هُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسابِ
and He is quick in account.
يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِي وَ مَا نُعْلِنُ
O He who knows what we conceal and what we reveal,
وَ ما يَخْفى عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لا فِي السَّماءِ
and nothing is hidden from Allah on earth or in heaven.
يَا مَنْ جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجاً
O He who made constellations in the sky
وَ زَيَّنَهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
and adorned it for beholders.
يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ
O He who created man from a drop of semen,
فَإِذا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُبِينٌ
then suddenly he is a clear adversary.
يَا مَنْ جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهارَ خِلْفَةً
O He who made the night and the day follow each other
لِمَنْ أَرادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرادَ شُكُوراً
for whoever wants to remember or wants to give thanks.
يَا مَنْ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ ما فِي الْأَرْضِ
O He to whom everything in the heavens and the earth prostrates,
مِنْ دابَّةٍ وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ وَ هُمْ لا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
including every creature and the angels, and they do not become proud.
يَا مَنْ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَ الْإِحْسانِ
O He who commands justice, good conduct,
وَ إِيتاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبى وَ يَنْهى عَنِ السُّوءِ
and giving to relatives, and forbids evil
وَ الْفَحْشاءِ وَ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ الْبَغْيِ
And immorality, bad conduct, and oppression.
يَا مَنْ هُوَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا
O He who is with those who fear Him
وَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مُحْسِنُونَ
and those who are doers of good.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا نَاجَيْتُكَ بِهِ مِنْ مِدْحَتِكَ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا
O Allah, I ask You by what I have whispered to You of Your praise today,
وَ فِيمَا قَبْلَهُ وَ فِيمَا بَعْدَهُ بِمَا لَوْ عَلِمْتُهُ لَسَأَلْتُكَ بِهِ
yesterday, and in the days to come, with what I would have asked You by
مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ الْعِظَامِ ارْزُقْنِي خَوْفَ الْعَامِلِينَ
from Your greatest names had I known them, to grant me the fear of those who work,
وَ عَمَلَ الْخَائِفِينَ وَ خُشُوعَ الْعَابِدِينَ
the deeds of those who fear, the humility of those who worship,
وَ عِبَادَةَ الْخَاشِعِينَ وَ يَقِينَ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
the worship of those who are humble, the certainty of those who rely on You,
وَ تَوَكُّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ إِنَابَةَ الْمُخْبِتِينَ
the reliance of the believers, the repentance of those who turn back to You,
وَ سَائِرَ مَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُونَ
and everything Your righteous servants asked of You,
وَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الْأَئِمَّةَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
what You granted Your prophets, the pure Imams, and the close angels.
وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي نَفْسِيَ الْقَاسِيَةَ وَ قَلْبِيَ الْفَاسِدَ
Rectify for me my hardened soul, my corrupt heart,
وَ عَقْلِيَ النَّاقِصَ وَ فُكَّ عُنُقِي مِنَ النَّارِ
my deficient intellect, and liberate my neck from the fire.
وَ ارْزُقْنِي الْجَنَّةَ وَ الْأَمْنَ فِي الدُّنْ يَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Grant me Paradise, safety in this world and the Hereafter,
وَ أَغْنِنِي عَنْ خَلْقِكَ كُلِّهِمْ بِفَضْلِكَ
and enrich me from Your bounty so that I do not need anyone else.
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O Most Merciful of the Merciful,
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ.
and may peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.
7.Imam Zainul Abideen (as) Dua- Iqbal Aamal 21st
يَا مُولِجَ اللَّيْلِ فِي النَّهَارِ وَ مُولِجَ النَّهَارِ فِي اللَّيْلِ
Yā mulija al-layli fi al-nahāri wa mulija al-nahāri fi al-layl
O You who cause the night to enter into the day, and cause the day to enter into the night.
وَ مُخْرِجَ الْحَيِّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَ مُخْرِجَ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ
Wa mukhrija al-ḥayyi mina al-mayyiti wa mukhrija al-mayyiti mina al-ḥayyi
And bringer forth of the living from the dead, and bringer forth of the dead from the living.
يَا رَازِقَ مَنْ يَشاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسابٍ
Yā rāziqa man yashā'u bighayri ḥisāb
O Provider to whomsoever He wills without measure.
يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ
Yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān, yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān
O Allah, O Most Merciful! O Allah, O Most Merciful!
يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ
Yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān, yā Allāhu yā Raḥmān
O Allah, O Most Merciful! O Allah, O Most Merciful!
لَكَ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى وَ الْأَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَ الْآلَاءُ
Laka al-asmā’u al-ḥusnā wa al-amthālu al-‘ulyā wa al-kibriyā’u wa al-ālā’u
To You belong the Most Beautiful Names, the highest examples, the majesty, and the blessings.
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
As’aluka an tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِبِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Wa as’aluka bi-Bismi Allāhi al-Raḥmāni al-Raḥīm
And I ask You by "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."
أَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِي فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ الشَّرِيفِ مِنَ السُّعَدَاءِ
An taj‘ala ismī fī hādhā al-yawmi al-sharīf mina al-su‘adā’
That You make my name on this noble day among the fortunate.
وَ رُوحِي مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ
Wa rūḥī ma‘a al-shuhadā’
And my soul among the martyrs.
وَ عَمَلِي مَقْبُولًا وَ حَسَنَاتِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ
Wa ‘amalī maqbūlan wa ḥasanātī fī ‘illiyyīn
And my deeds accepted, and my good actions in the highest ranks.
وَ ذُنُوبِي مَغْفُورَةً يَا رَبَالْعَالَمِينَ
Wa dhunūbī maghfūrah yā Rabba al-‘ālamīn
And my sins forgiven, O Lord of the Worlds.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ يَقِيناً صَادِقاً يُبَاشِرُ قَلْبِي
Wa as’aluka yaqīnan ṣādiqan yubāshiru qalbī
And I ask You for true certainty that fills my heart.
وَ إِيمَاناً يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي
Wa īmānan yudhhibu al-shakka ‘annī
And faith that removes doubt from me.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ قَلْباً خَاشِعاً وَ عِلْماً نَافِعاً
Wa as’aluka qalban khāshi‘an wa ‘ilman nāfi‘an
And I ask You for a humble heart and beneficial knowledge.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ
Wa as’aluka al-‘āfiyata min kulli balīyah
And I ask You for well-being from every affliction.
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ تَمَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَ دَوَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ
Wa as’aluka tamāma al-‘āfiyati wa dawāma al-‘āfiyah
And I ask You for complete well-being and its continuity.
يَا وَلِيَّ الْعَافِيَةِ جَمِّلْ عَلَيَّ بِالسَّتْرِ
Yā waliyy al-‘āfiyah, jammil ‘alayya bi al-sitr
O Guardian of well-being, bestow upon me protection.
وَ السَّلَامَةِ وَ الْعَافِيَةِ فِي الدِّينِ وَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Wa al-salāmah wa al-‘āfiyah fī al-dīn wa al-dunyā wa al-ākhirah
And grant me safety and well-being in religion, in this world, and in the Hereafter.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُبَارِكَ لِي فِيمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
Allāhumma innī as’aluka an tubārika lī fīmā qasamta lī
O Allah, I ask You to bless me in what You have allotted for me.
وَ آتِنِي فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
Wa ātinī fī al-dunyā ḥasanah wa fī al-ākhirah ḥasanah
And grant me goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter.
وَ قِنِي عَذابَ النَّارِ
Wa qinī ‘adhāba al-nār
And protect me from the punishment of the Fire.
وَ عَذابَ الْحَرِيقِ وَ عَذابَ السَّعِيرِ وَ عَذابَ الْجَحِيمِ
Wa ‘adhāba al-ḥarīq, wa ‘adhāba al-sa‘īr, wa ‘adhāba al-jaḥīm
And from the torment of burning, the blazing Hell, and the abyss of Hellfire.
وَ عَذابَ السَّمُومِ وَ عَذابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Wa ‘adhāba al-samūm, wa ‘adhāba al-khizy fī al-dunyā wa al-ākhirah
And from the scorching torment and the humiliation in this world and the Hereafter.
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَدْنَى وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَكْبَرِ
Wa a‘ūdhu bika mina al-‘adhābi al-adnā wa a‘ūdhu bika mina al-‘adhābi al-akbar
And I seek refuge in You from the lesser punishment, and I seek refuge in You from the greater punishment.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Allāhumma Rabba Muḥammad wa Āli Muḥammad, ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa Āli Muḥammad
O Allah, Lord of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family.
وَ ارْزُقْنِي فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ شُكْرَكَ وَ ذِكْرَكَ
Wa arzuqnī fī hādhihi al-laylah shukraka wa dhikraka
And grant me in this night gratitude towards You and remembrance of You.
وَ الرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ وَ الْإِنَابَةَ وَ الْإِخْلَاصَ وَ الْخُشُوعَ
Wa al-raghbata ilayka wa al-inābah wa al-ikhlāṣ wa al-khushū‘
And the longing for You, repentance, sincerity, and humility.
وَ الْإِخْبَاتَ وَ الْيَقِينَ لِمَا يُرْضِيكَ عَنِّي يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Wa al-ikhbāta wa al-yaqīn limā yurḍīka ‘annī yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn
And submissiveness and certainty in what pleases You concerning me, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ لَا تَرُدَّنِي خَائِباً وَ لَا مَقْبُوحاً
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa Āli Muḥammad, wa lā taruddani khā’iban wa lā maqbūḥan
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and do not return me disappointed or rejected.
وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمَقْبُولِينَ وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْفَائِزِينَ
Wa aj‘alnī mina al-maqbūlīn wa fī al-ākhirah mina al-fā’izīn
And make me among the accepted ones, and in the Hereafter among the successful ones.
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Bi raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
Wa ṣallā Allāhu ‘alā sayyidinā Muḥammad al-nabiyy wa ālihi wa sallam
And may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad, the Prophet, and his family, and grant them peace.
