Tradition from Imam Saidiq(as) says The Psalms of David were revealed on the eighteenth day of Ramadhan.-Iqbal Aamal

1.On the authority of the Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him and his family)-Iqbal Aamal- 18th


الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَكْرَمَنَا بِشَهْرِنَا هَذَا
“Praise be to God, Who honored us with this month;

وَ أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْنَا فِيهِ الْقُرْآنَ وَ عَرَّفَنَا حَقَّهُ
Descended down the Qur‟an upon us during it; and made us familiar with its rights.

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى الْبَصِيرَةِ فَبِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ
Praise be to God, Who granted us insight. By the Light of Your Face!

يَا إِلَهَنَا وَ إِلَهَ آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ
O‟ our Lord and the Lord of our ancestors!

ارْزُقْنَا فِيهِ التَّوْبَةَ وَ لَا تَخْذُلْنَا
O‟ God! Please bless us with repentance during it and do not leave us helpless,

وَ لَا تُخْلِفْ ظَنَنَّا بِكَ
do not let what we think of You be untrue

وَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as)

وَ اعْفُ عَنَّا وَ ارْحَمْنَا
please forgive us & have mercy on us

إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْجَلِيلُ الْجَبَّارُ
– Verily You are the Most Majestic- the Compeller!”

2.Book of companions- Iqbal Aamal - 18th
- لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ فِي مُلْكِهِ وَ لَا مُنَازِعَ لَهُ فِي قُدْرَتِهِ
“There is no God but God. There are no partners for Him in His Kingdom. There are none to challenge His Power.

أَحْصَى كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَدَداً وَ خَلَقَهُ وَ جَعَلَ لَهُ أَمَداً [حَدّاً] فَكُلُّ مَا يُرَى وَ مَا لَا يُرَى‌ هالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ
He counts all things in number, creates them and sets a pre-defined period for them. And all the seen and the unseen will be destroyed except His Face!

لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ‌
To Him belongs the Decree and to Him is the return!

وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي قَهَرَ كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ بِجَبَرُوتِهِ وَ اسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهِ بِقُدْرَتِهِ وَ مَلَكَهُ بِعِزَّتِهِ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً.
Glory be to Him which has overcome everything by His Omnipotence, and has mastered them by His Power, and rules them by His Might!

سُبْحَانَ خَالِقِي وَ لَمْ أَكُ شَيْئاً الَّذِي كَفَلَنِي بِرَحْمَتِهِ وَ غَذَّانِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ وَ فَسَحَ لِي فِي عَطِيَّتِهِ وَ مَنَّ عَلَيَّ بِهِدَايَتِهِ بِمَا أَلْهَمَنِي مِنْ وَحْدَانِيَّتِهِ وَ التَّصْدِيقِ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِ وَ حَامِلِي رِسَالَتِهِ وَ بِكُتُبِهِ الْمُنْزَلَةِ عَلَى بَرِيَّتِهِ الْمُوجِبَةِ لِحُجَّتِهِ
Glory be to my Creator while I was not nothing, supported me with His Mercy, fed me with His Blessings, extended His Bestowals on me, and favored me with His Guidance by inspiring me regarding His Oneness, acknowledging His Prophets (as) who carried His Message, and His Book revealed to the people as Proof to them.

الَّذِي لَمْ يَخْذُلْنِي بِجُحُودٍ وَ لَمْ يُسَلِّمْنِي إِلَى عَنُودٍ وَ جَعَلَ مِنْ أَكَارِمِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَرُومَتِي وَ مِنْ أَفَاضِلِهِمْ نَبْعَتِي وَ لِخَاتَمِهِمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ عَوْنَتِي
He is the God who did not question me for disbelief, and did not leave me to the enemies. He let me be of the descendants of the noblest of the Prophets (as) and helped me with the Seal of the Prophets (as).

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُذَلِّلْ مِنِّي مَا أَعْزَزْتَ وَ لَا تَضَعْنِي بَعْدَ أَنْ رَفَعْتَ وَ لَا تَخْذُلْنِي بَعْدَ أَنْ نَصَرْتَ وَ اطْوِ فِي مَطَاوِي
O‟ my God! Please do not debase me after You honor me, do not lower my rank after You raise it, and do not leave me helpless after You give me victory.

هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ ذُنُوبِي مَغْفُورَةً وَ أَدْعِيَتِي مَسْمُوعَةً وَ قُرُبَاتِي مَقْبُولَةً فَ إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ
Please during this night forgive my sins, hear my prayers, and accept my deeds as indeed You have Power over all things. Please bestow blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny(as) and may His peace be on them plentifully.”



3.Night Dua- Muhammad ibn Abi Qarrih book Amal-i-Shahr-i-Ramadhan 18th
The following supplications are reported on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abi Qarrih who reported it in his book A‟mal-i-Shahr-i-Ramadhan.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا حَمِدْتَ نَفْسَكَ
Allahumma laka alhamdu kama hamidta nafsak
O Allah, to You belongs all praise, as You have praised Yourself.

وَ أَفْضَلَ مَا حَمِدَكَ الْحَامِدُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
Wa afdala ma hamidaka alhamiduna min khalqik
And with the best praise that those who praise You from Your creation offer.

حَمْداً يَكُونُ أَرْضَى الْحَمْدِ لَكَ
Hamdan yakunu ardha alhamdi lak
A praise that is the most pleasing to You.

وَ أَحَقَّ الْحَمْدِ عِنْدَكَ
Wa ahaqqa alhamdi ‘indak
And the most rightful praise in Your sight.

وَ أَحَبَّ الْحَمْدِ إِلَيْكَ
Wa ahabba alhamdi ilayk
And the most beloved praise to You.

وَ أَفْضَلَ الْحَمْدِ لَدَيْكَ
Wa afdala alhamdi ladayk
And the most excellent praise with You.

وَ أَقْرَبَ الْحَمْدِ مِنْكَ
Wa aqraba alhamdi mink
And the closest praise to You.

وَ أَوْجَبَ الْحَمْدِ جَزَاءً عَلَيْكَ
Wa awjaba alhamdi jazaa’an ‘alayk
And the praise that most deserves a reward from You.

حَمْداً لَا يَبْلُغُهُ وَصْفُ وَاصِفٍ
Hamdan la yablughuhu wasfu wasif
A praise that no describer can fully express.

وَ لَا يُدْرِكُهُ نَعْتُ نَاعِتٍ
Wa la yudrikuhu na‘tu na‘it
Nor can any attribute fully comprehend it.

وَ لَا وَهْمُ مُتَوَهِّمٍ
Wa la wahmu mutawahhim
Nor can any imagination conceive it.

وَ لَا فِكْرُ مُتَفَكِّرٍ
Wa la fikru mutafakkir
Nor can any thought grasp it.

حَمْداً يَضْعُفُ عَنْهُ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
Hamdan yad‘ufu ‘anhu kullu ahad
A praise that is beyond the ability of all beings.

مِمَّنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرَضِينَ
Mimman fis-samawati wal-ardhin
Among those in the heavens and the earth.

وَ يَقْصُرُ عَنْهُ وَ عَنْ حُدُودِهِ وَ مُنْتَهَاهُ
Wa yaqsuru ‘anhu wa ‘an hududihi wa muntahahu
And falls short of its limits and ultimate extent.

جَمِيعُ الْمَعْصُومِينَ الْمُؤَيَّدِينَ
Jami‘ul ma‘suminal mu’ayyadin
Even all the divinely protected and supported ones.

الَّذِينَ أَخَذْتَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ فِي كِتَابِكَ
Alladhina akhadhta mithaqahum fi kitabik
Whose covenant You have taken in Your unalterable Book.

حَمْداً يَنْبَغِي لَكَ وَ يَدُومُ مَعَكَ
Hamdan yanbaghi lak wa yadumu ma‘ak
A praise that befits You and lasts with You.

وَ لَا يَصْلُحُ إِلَّا لَكَ
Wa la yasluhu illa lak
And is suitable only for You.

حَمْداً يَعْلُو حَمْدَ كُلِّ حَامِدٍ
Hamdan ya‘lu hamda kulli hamid
A praise that surpasses all other praises.

وَ شُكْراً يُحِيطُ بِشُكْرِ كُلِّ شَاكِرٍ
Wa shukran yuhitu bishukri kulli shakir
And gratitude that encompasses all gratitude.

حَمْداً يَبْقَى مَعَ بَقَائِكَ
Hamdan yabqa ma‘a baqa’ik
A praise that remains as long as You remain.

وَ يَزِيدُ إِذَا رَضِيتَ
Wa yazidu idha radit
And increases when You are pleased.

وَ يَنْمِي كُلَّمَا شِئْتَ
Wa yanmi kullama shi’ta
And grows whenever You will.

حَمْداً خَالِداً مَعَ خُلُودِكَ
Hamdan khalidan ma‘a khuludik
A praise that is eternal with Your eternity.

وَ دَائِماً مَعَ دَوَامِكَ
Wa da’iman ma‘a dawamik
And lasting with Your everlasting existence.

كَمَا فَضَّلْتَنَا عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
Kama faddaltana ‘ala kathirin min khalqik
As You have favored us over much of Your creation.

وَ لِمَا وَهَبْتَ مِنْ مَعْرِفَتِكَ
Wa lima wahabta min ma‘rifatik
And for what You have granted of Your knowledge.

وَ صِيَامِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
Wa siyami shahri Ramadan
And the fasting of the month of Ramadan.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَقَامِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Allahumma inni as’aluka bimaqam Muhammad
O Allah, I ask You by the station of Muhammad.

وَ بِمَقَامِ أَنْبِيَائِكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ
Wa bimaqam anbiya’ika ‘alayhi wa ‘alayhimu as-salam
And by the station of Your prophets, peace be upon him and them.

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
An tusalliya ‘ala Muhammad wa Ali Muhammad
That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَ تَقَبَّلَ صَوْمِي
Wa taqabbal sawmi
And accept my fasting.

وَ تَصْرِفَ إِلَيَّ وَ إِلَى أَهْلِي
Wa tasrifa ilayya wa ila ahli
And grant me and my family.

وَ وُلْدِي وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي وَ مَنْ يَعْنِينِي أَمْرُهُ
Wa waladi wa ahli bayti wa man ya‘nini amruhu
And my children, my household, and those whose affairs concern me.

وَ إِلَى جَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
Wa ila jami‘il mu’minina wal mu’minat
And to all believing men and women.

مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ عَافِيَتِكَ
Min fadlik wa rahmatik wa ‘afiyatik
From Your bounty, mercy, and well-being.

وَ نِعَمِكَ وَ رِزْقِكَ الْهَنِي‌ءِ الْمَرِي‌ءِ
Wa ni‘amik wa rizqik al-hani’ al-mari’
And Your blessings and pure, wholesome provision.

مَا تَجْعَلُهُ صَلَاحاً لِدِينِنَا
Ma taj‘aluhu salahal lidinina
That which You make good for our religion.

وَ قَوَاماً لِآخِرَتِنَا
Wa qawaman li-akhiratina
And a foundation for our hereafter.

Alternate
للَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا حَمِدْتَ نَفْسَكَ وَ أَفْضَلَ مَا حَمِدَكَ الْحَامِدُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ حَمْداً يَكُونُ أَرْضَى الْحَمْدِ لَكَ وَ أَحَقَّ الْحَمْدِ عِنْدَكَ وَ أَحَبَّ الْحَمْدِ إِلَيْكَ وَ أَفْضَلَ الْحَمْدِ لَدَيْكَ وَ أَقْرَبَ الْحَمْدِ مِنْكَ وَ أَوْجَبَ الْحَمْدِ جَزَاءً عَلَيْكَ
“O‟ my God! Praise belongs to You as You praise Yourself – A better praise than those of Your Creatures who praise You – praise that pleases You the most; the most proper for You; the most loved by You; the noblest praise for You, the closest praise of You and praise that deserves the most reward;

حَمْداً لَا يَبْلُغُهُ وَصْفُ وَاصِفٍ وَ لَا يُدْرِكُهُ نَعْتُ نَاعِتٍ وَ لَا وَهْمُ مُتَوَهِّمٍ وَ لَا فِكْرُ مُتَفَكِّرٍ حَمْداً يَضْعُفُ عَنْهُ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ [أيد] مِمَّنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرَضِينَ وَ يَقْصُرُ عَنْهُ وَ عَنْ حُدُودِهِ وَ مُنْتَهَاهُ جَمِيعُ الْمَعْصُومِينَ الْمُؤَيَّدِينَ الَّذِينَ أَخَذْتَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ فِي كِتَابِكَ الَّذِي لَا يُغَيَّرُ وَ لَا يُبَدَّلُ حَمْداً يَنْبَغِي لَكَ وَ يَدُومُ مَعَكَ وَ لَا يَصْلُحُ إِلَّا لَكَ
praise that is those who extol cannot describe – whose characteristics those who extol cannot understand; whose image those who imagine cannot comprehend, and whose thought those who think cannot think of.
Praise which all who reside in the seven Heavens and the seven earths are unable to express; praise that all the Immaculates (as) from whom You took an unchangeable covenant in Your Book cannot reach its extremes; praise that is suitable for You, that lasts with You, and suits only You;

حَمْداً يَعْلُو حَمْدَ كُلِّ حَامِدٍ وَ شُكْراً يُحِيطُ بِشُكْرِ كُلِّ شَاكِرٍ حَمْداً يَبْقَى مَعَ بَقَائِكَ وَ يَزِيدُ إِذَا رَضِيتَ
praise that is superior to the praise of all who praise; gratitude that encompasses that of all who are grateful; praise that survives along with Your Survival and increases whenever You please and grows as You will;

وَ يَنْمِي كُلَّمَا شِئْتَ حَمْداً خَالِداً مَعَ خُلُودِكَ وَ دَائِماً مَعَ دَوَامِكَ كَمَا فَضَّلْتَنَا عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَ لِمَا وَهَبْتَ مِنْ مَعْرِفَتِكَ وَ صِيَامِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
Praise that is as eternal as You are and as everlasting as You are; Praise that is Perpetual with Your Perpetuity for having given us superiority over other creatures and bestowed on us knowledge of You and the fasting of the month of Ramadhan.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَقَامِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ بِمَقَامِ أَنْبِيَائِكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تَقَبَّلَ صَوْمِي وَ تَصْرِفَ إِلَيَّ وَ إِلَى أَهْلِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي وَ مَنْ يَعْنِينِي أَمْرُهُ وَ إِلَى جَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ عَافِيَتِكَ وَ نِعَمِكَ وَ رِزْقِكَ الْهَنِي‌ءِ الْمَرِي‌ءِ مَا تَجْعَلُهُ صَلَاحاً لِدِينِنَا وَ قَوَاماً لِآخِرَتِنَا.
O‟ my God! I ask You by the position of Muhammad and Your Prophets (as) to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as), accept my fasting and bestow on me, my wife, my children, my household, and those under my custody plus all believing men and women, some delicious sustenance out of Your Nobility, Mercy, Well-Being and Blessings that would expedite improvement for our world and sustenance for our afterlife.”

4.Popular DAY Dua 18th


اللّهُمّ نَبّهْنِي فِيهِ لِبَرَكَاتِ أَسْحَارِهِ،
allahumma nabbhny fihi libarakati asharihi
O Allah; on this day, (please) attract my attention to the blessings at the last hours of night;

وَنَوّرْ فِيهِ قَلْبِي بِضِيَاءِ أَنْوَارِهِ،
wa nawwr fihi qalby bidya‘i anwarihi
And enlighten my heart with the glow of its light;

وَخُذْ بِكُلّ أَعْضَائِي إِلَى اتّبَاعِ آثَارِهِ،
wa khudh bikulli a`daiy ila attba`i atharihi
And lead all my organs to the following of its traces;

بِنُورِكَ يَا مُنَوّرَ قُلُوبِ العَارِفِينَ.
binurika ya munawwra qulubi al`arifina
Out of Your light; O the Grantor of light to the hearts of the connoisseurs.

5.Day Dua II- Iqbal Aamal-18th

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ الظَّلَمَةَ كَفَرُوا بِكِتَابِكَ وَ جَحَدُوا آيَاتِكَ وَ كَذَّبُوا رُسُلَكَ ‌
“O‟ my God! The oppressors refuted Your Book, denied Your verses, and cried lies to Your Messengers (as).

وَ بَدَّلُوا مَا جَاءَ بِهِ رَسُولُكَ وَ شَرَّعُوا غَيْرَ دِينِكَ وَ سَعَوْا بِالْفَسَادِ فِي أَرْضِكَ وَ تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى إِطْفَاءِ نُورِكَ
They changed what Your Prophet (as) had brought, and tried to cause corruption on Your earth and united to put out Your Light!

وَ شَاقُّوا وُلَاةَ أَمْرِكَ وَ وَالَوْا أَعْدَاءَكَ وَ عَادَوْا أَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَ ظَلَمُوا أَهْلَ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ
They opposed those in charge of Your Affairs, became friends with Your enemies, and transgressed against the members of the Household of Your Prophet (as).

اللَّهُمَّ فَانْتَقِمْ مِنْهُمْ وَ اصْبُبْ عَلَيْهِمْ عَذَابَكَ وَ اسْتَأْصِلْ شَأْفَتَهُمْ
O‟ my God! Please take revenge from them, send them Your Punishment, and uproot them.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَكَ دَغَلًا وَ مَالَكَ دُوَلًا وَ عِبَادَكَ خَوَلًا
O‟ my God! They destroyed Your Religion, wasted Your Property and enslaved Your Servants.

فَاكْفُفْ بَأْسَهُمْ وَ أَوْهِنْ كَيْدَهُمْ وَ اشْفِ مِنْهُمْ صُدُورَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ خَالِفْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ شَتِّتْ أَمْرَهُمْ
Stop their outrage, destroy their plots and improve the hearts of the believers regarding them. Cause discord in their hearts and wreck their affairs.

وَ اجْعَلْ بَأْسَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ وَ اسْفِكْ بِأَيْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ دِمَاءَهُمْ وَ خُذْهُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Let their outrage be within themselves and take away their life through the believers and grab them in such a way that they do not understand.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as).

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَشْهَدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ يَوْمَ حُلُولِ الطَّامَّةِ أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يُذْنِبُوا لَكَ ذَنْباً وَ لَمْ يَرْتَكِبُوا لَكَ مَعْصِيَةً وَ لَمْ يُضِيعُوا لَكَ طَاعَةً وَ أَنَّ مَوْلَانَا وَ سَيِّدَنَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ الْهَادِي الْمُهْتَدِي التَّقِيُّ النَّقِيُّ الزَّكِيُّ الرَّضِيُّ
O‟ my God! I bear witness to the Resurrection Day on which the overwhelming Event comes1 that they never commited any sins, have never disobeyed You, have never abandoned Your Obedience and that our Master and the Owner of Time, the guided guider, the pure, the pious, the purified and the content.

فَاسْلُكْ بِنَا عَلَى يَدَيْهِ مِنْهَاجَ الْهُدَى وَ الْمَحَجَّةَ الْعُظْمَى وَ قَوِّنَا عَلَى مُتَابَعَتِهِ وَ أَدَاءِ حَقِّهِ وَ احْشُرْنَا فِي أَعْوَانِهِ وَ أَنْصَارِهِ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ.
Then we ask You to let us go on the road and the grand highway of guidance through him. Give us the strength to follow him, honor his right and resurrect us with his supporters and helpers since You indeed hear prayers.”

6.Syed Ibn Baqi Dua- Iqbal Aamal 18th
دعاء اليوم الثامن عشر من إختيار السيد ابن باقي رحمه الله‌

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِذْ وَفَّقْتَنَا لِصِيَامِ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ فَأَطَعْنَاكَ
O Allah, O He who facilitated for us the fasting of this month and thereby we obeyed You,

وَ دَعَوْتَنَا فَأَجَبْنَاكَ بِتَوْفِيقٍ مِنْكَ لَنَا
and You called upon us and we responded to You by Your grace towards us,

وَ أَمَرْتَنَا بِالصَّلَاةِ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ فَقُلْتَ
and You commanded us to pray upon Your Prophet saying,

‌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَ مَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ
"Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet.

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيماً
O you who have believed, send blessings upon him and greet him with peace."

اللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا بِهِ مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ
O Allah, therefore send blessings upon him since You guided us through him from misguidance

وَ أَنْقَذْتَنَا بِهِ مِنَ الْهَلَكَةِ
and saved us from perdition with him.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْزِهِ خَيْرَ مَا جَزَيْتَ نَبِيّاً عَنْ أُمَّتِهِ
O Allah, reward him the best of what You have rewarded a Prophet on behalf of his nation,

وَ خَيْرَ مَا جَزَيْتَ رَاعِياً عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ
and the best of what You have rewarded a shepherd on behalf of his flock.

وَ صَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْهِ [أَنْتَ‌]
And may Allah send blessings upon him,

وَ مَلَائِكَتُكَ وَ أَنْبِيَاؤُكَ وَ رُسُلُكَ
Your angels, Your prophets, Your messengers,

وَ أَهْلُ طَاعَتِكَ [وَ أَهْلُ عِبَادَتِكَ‌]
and those of Your creation who obey You,

مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ
from the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth.

اللَّهُمَّ ابْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً
O Allah, raise him to a praiseworthy station

يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَ الْآخِرُونَ
which the first and the last will envy him for.

اللَّهُمَّ بَيِّضْ وَجْهَهُ وَ أَوْضِحْ حُجَّتَهُ
O Allah, brighten his face, clarify his argument,

وَ تَقَبَّلْ شَفَاعَتَهُ وَ عَظِّمْ بُرْهَانَهُ
accept his intercession, and magnify his proof.

اللَّهُمَّ أَقِرَّ فِي الْقِيَامَةِ عَيْنَهُ
O Allah, comfort his eyes in the resurrection

وَ عَيْنَ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَ أُمَّتِهِ
and the eyes of his progeny, his family, and his nation.

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي فِي سَنَتِي هَذِهِ النَّظَرَ إِلَى بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ
O Allah, grant me in this year the sight of Your Sacred House,

وَ أَرِنِي الرُّكْنَ وَ الْمَقَامَ
and show me the Rukn (corner of the Kaaba) and the Maqam (Station of Ibrahim),

وَ آثَارَ أَنْبِيَائِكَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ
and the traces of Your prophets, peace be upon them,

وَ الزِّيَارَةَ إِلَى قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفَى عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ السَّلَامُ
and the visitation to the grave of Your Prophet Muhammad, the Chosen one, peace be upon him and his family.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ [اجْعَلْ مُحَمَّداً] أَقْرَبَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِنْكَ وَسِيلَةً
O Allah, make him [Muhammad] the closest of the Prophets to You in means,

وَ مَنْزِلًا وَ أَعْظَمَهُمْ عِنْدَكَ رِبْحاً وَ شَرَفاً
station, the greatest in loss and honor,

وَ أَعْلَاهُمْ لَدَيْكَ دَرَجَةً وَ غُرَفاً
and the highest in degree and chambers.

اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنِي فِي الْقِيَامَةِ وَجْهَهُ النَّضِرَ الْأَزْهَرَ
O Allah, show me on the day of resurrection his bright, radiant face,

سَيِّدَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ وَلِيَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ [الْمُؤْمِنِينَ‌]
the leader of the messengers, the guardian of the believers,

وَ إِمَامَ الْمُتَّقِينَ نَبِيَّ الرَّحْمَةِ
the imam of the pious, the Prophet of mercy,

أَتَى‌ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيراً وَ نَذِيراً
who came with the truth, a bearer of good tidings and a warner,

وَ داعِياً إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَ سِراجاً مُنِيراً
calling to Allah by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.

اللَّهُمَّ اسْتَعْمِلْنِي عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ فِي سُنَّتِهِ
O Allah, employ me in the obedience to You according to his Sunnah,

وَ تَوَفَّنِي مَغْفُوراً لِي عَلَى مِلَّتِهِ
and let me die forgiven according to his creed,

وَ ابْعَثْنِي عَلَى شَرِيعَتِهِ وَ احْشُرْنِي فِي زُمْرَتِهِ
resurrect me on his law, gather me in his group,

وَ ارْزُقْنِي مُرَافَقَتَهُ وَ أَدْخِلْنِي الْجَنَّةَ فِي شَفَاعَتِهِ
grant me his companionship, and admit me into Paradise through his intercession.

اللَّهُمَّ وَ كَمَا جَعَلْتَنِي فِي أُمَّتِهِ وَ لَمْ تُضِلَّنِي
O Allah, as You made me among his nation and did not misguide me,

وَ مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ بِدِينِهِ دَيْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ‌ خَلِيلِكَ
and graced me with his religion, the religion of Ibrahim, Your friend,

وَ عَلَى مِلَّتِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
upon him and his family be peace,

وَ بَلَّغْتَنِي هَذَا الشَّهْرَ
and brought me to this month

وَ فَرَضْتَهُ عَلَيَّ رَأْفَةً وَ رَحْمَةً مِنْكَ
and prescribed it upon me out of compassion and mercy from You,

فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِتَشْرِيفِكَ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
I ask You by honoring Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family,

يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ الْخَلَائِقَ لِفَصْلِ الْقَضَاءِ
on the day when all creations are gathered for the decree,

أَنْ تُعْتِقَنِي فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا مِنَ النَّارِ
to free me this day from the Fire,

وَ تَغْفِرَ لِي مَغْفِرَةً عَزْماً [جَزْماً]
and to forgive me a decisive forgiveness,

وَ تَرْزُقَنِي خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
and to grant me the best of this world and the hereafter,

وَ الْأَمْنَ وَ الْعَافِيَةَ وَ الْغِنَى وَ الْمَغْفِرَةَ
security, well-being, wealth, and forgiveness

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ‌
by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Indeed, You are capable of all things,

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ.
and may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.

7.Imam Zainul Abideen (as) Dua- Iqbal Aamal 18th

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا ذَا الْبَهَاءِ وَ الْجَلَالِ وَ الْجَمَالِ
Allahumma inni as’aluka ya dha al-baha’i wal-jalali wal-jamali
O Allah, I ask You, O Possessor of splendor, majesty, and beauty.

وَ أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي
Wa ad‘uka kama amartani fastajib li kama wa‘adtani
And I supplicate to You as You commanded me, so answer me as You have promised.

يَا مَنْ‌ لا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعادَ
Ya man la yukhliful-mi‘ad
O You who never break Your promise.

يَا عَظِيمُ يَا رَحِيمُ يَا وَاسِعُ يَا كَرِيمُ
Ya ‘azim, ya rahim, ya wasi‘, ya karim
O Great One, O Merciful, O All-Encompassing, O Generous.

يَا تَامَّ الْكِفَايَةِ يَا حَسَنَ الْأَسْمَاءِ
Ya tammal-kifayah, ya hasanal-asma’
O Perfect in sufficiency, O Possessor of the most beautiful names.

يَا كَبِيرُ يَا مُتَعَالِي يَا عَلِيمُ يَا قَدِيرُ
Ya kabir, ya muta‘ali, ya ‘alim, ya qadir
O Most Great, O Most High, O All-Knowing, O All-Powerful.

يَا عَزِيزُ يَا دَائِمُ يَا ذَا السُّلْطَانِ
Ya ‘aziz, ya daim, ya dha as-sultan
O Mighty, O Everlasting, O Possessor of sovereignty.

يَا ذَا الْمُلْكِ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ
Ya dha al-mulk, ya dha al-jalal
O Possessor of dominion, O Possessor of majesty.

يَا ذَا الْفَخْرِ يَا ذَا الْمَجْدِ وَ الْجُودِ
Ya dha al-fakhr, ya dha al-majd wal-jud
O Possessor of glory, O Possessor of honor and generosity.

يَا عَلِيُّ يَا كَبِيرُ يَا ذَا الْمَنِّ يَا قَدِيمُ
Ya ‘aliyyu, ya kabir, ya dha al-mann, ya qadim
O Most High, O Most Great, O Bestower of favors, O Eternal.

يَا ذَا الشَّأْنِ الرَّفِيعِ يَا ذَا الْبُرْهَانِ
Ya dha ash-sha’ni ar-rafi‘, ya dha al-burhan
O Possessor of lofty rank, O Possessor of the clear proof.

يَا ذَا الْجَبَرُوتِ
Ya dha al-jabarut
O Possessor of absolute power.

يَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Ya Allah, la ilaha illa anta
O Allah, there is no god but You.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِقَوْلِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
As’aluka biqawli la ilaha illa anta
I ask You by the statement: There is no god but You.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِشَرَفِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
As’aluka bisharafi la ilaha illa anta
I ask You by the honor of: There is no god but You.

يَا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يَا عَظِيمُ
Ya la ilaha illa anta, ya ‘azim
O You, there is no god but You, O Great One.

يَا رَبَّاهْ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَبَّاهْ
Ya rabbah, ya Allah, ya rabbah
O Lord, O Allah, O Lord.

أَسْأَلُكَ يَا سَيِّدِي وَ لَيْسَ مِثْلَكَ شَيْ‌ءٌ
As’aluka ya sayyidi wa laysa mithlaka shay’
I ask You, my Master, for there is nothing like You.

بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ دَعَاكَ بِهَا نَبِيٌّ مُرْسَلٌ
Bikulli da‘watin da‘aka biha nabiyyun mursal
By every supplication a sent prophet has called You with.

أَوْ مَلَكٌ مُقَرَّبٌ أَوْ مُؤْمِنٌ امْتَحَنْتَ قَلْبَهُ بِالْإِيمَانِ
Aw malakun muqarrab aw mu’minun imtahanta qalbahu bil-iman
Or a near angel or a believer whose heart You tested with faith.

وَ اسْتَجَبْتُ لَهُ دَعْوَتَهُ
Wa istajabta lahu da‘watah
And to whom You have responded to their supplication.

وَ أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ
Wa atawajahu ilayka binabiyyika Muhammad nabiyyir-rahmah
And I turn to You through Your Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy.

وَ أُقَدِّمُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوَائِجِي
Wa uqaddimuhu bayna yaday hawa’iji
And I place him before my needs.

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي
Ya Rasulallah, bi’abi anta wa ummi
O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you.

وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ الطَّيِّبِينَ
Wa ahli baytika at-tayyibin
And Your purified household.

إِنِّي أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ
Inni atawajahu bika ila rabbik
Indeed, I turn through you to your Lord.

وَ أُقَدِّمُكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوَائِجِي
Wa uqaddimuka bayna yaday hawa’iji
And I place you before my needs.

يَا رَبَّاهْ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَبَّاهْ يَا اللَّهُ
Ya rabbah, ya Allah, ya rabbah, ya Allah
O Lord, O Allah, O Lord, O Allah.

إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَ فَلَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْ‌ءٌ
Inni as’aluka bika falaysa kamithlika shay’
I ask You by You, for there is nothing like You.

وَ أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ بِعِتْرَتِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ
Wa atawajahu ilayka biMuhammad nabiyyir-rahmah wa bi‘itratihi at-tayyibin
And I turn to You through Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy, and his purified family.

وَ أُقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوَائِجِي
Wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday hawa’iji
And I place them before my needs.

أَنْ تُعْتِقَنِي مِنَ النَّارِ
An tu‘tiqani min an-nar
That You free me from the Fire.

وَ تَكْفِيَنِي وَ جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
Wa takfiyani wa jami‘al mu’minina wal-mu’minat
And suffice me and all believing men and women.

كُلَّ مَا أَهَمَّنَا مِنْ أَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
Kulla ma ahammana min amri ad-dunya wal-akhirah
From everything that concerns us in this world and the Hereafter.

وَ تُدْخِلَنَا فِي رَحْمَتِكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
Wa tudkhilana fi rahmatika birahmatika
And admit us into Your mercy, through Your mercy.

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Ya arhamar-rahimin
O Most Merciful of the merciful.

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
Wa salla Allahu ‘ala rasulihi sayyidina Muhammad
And may Allah send blessings upon His Messenger, our master Muhammad.

النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً
An-nabiyyi wa alihi wa sallama taslima
The Prophet and his family, and grant him complete peace.
