Dua 1 last day
Allahumma innaka arhamu alrrahimina
O Allah: verily, You are the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
la ilaha illa anta,
There is no god save You.
tafaddalta `alayna fahadaytana,
You have done us the favor of guiding us (to the true path)
wa mananta `alayna fa`arraftana,
And You have bestowed upon us with the favor of making us recognize You,
wa ahsanta ilayna faa`antana `ala ada‘i ma aftaradta `alayna
And You have done us the grace of helping us carry out that which You have made obligatory upon us,
min siyami shahrika shahri Ramadhana.
Which is the observance of fasting during Your month; the month of Ramadhan.
falaka alhamdu bimahamidika kulliha
So, all praise be to You with the all forms of praising You,
`ala jami`i na`maiika kulliha,
For all of Your bounties,
hatti yantahiia alhamdu ili ma tuhibbu wa tardi
So that praise will attain the stage that You like and please.
wa hadha akhiru yawmin min shahri Ramadhana
And this is the last day in the month of Ramadhan;
faidha anqadi faakhtimhu lana bialssa`adati wa alrrahmaati wa almaghfirati,
If ite lapses, then (please) seal it for us with happiness and mercy and forgiveness
wa alrrizqi aluasi`i alkathiri alttayyibi,
And sustenance that is expansive, abundant and pleasant,
For which You will not settle an account with nor will You torture us,
wa albarakaati wa alfawzi wa alfawzi bialjannaati,
And (also) blessing and triumph and winning Paradise
wa al`itqi mina alnnari,
And release from Hellfire.
And (please) do not decide this month to be the last one in our lifetimes,
wa ahillahu `alayna bi-afdali alkhayri wa albarakaati wa alssururi
And (please) make the (coming) month to commence carrying to us the best of goodness and blessing and pleasure
For me and for my family (i.e. wife) and for my parents and for my offspring; O the All-generous (Lord).
aalllhumma hadha shahru Ramadhana
O Allah: This is the month of Ramadhan,
alladhy anzalta fihi alqurana
In which You revealed the Qur'an
hudian lilnnasi wa bayyinatin min alhudi wa alfurqani
As guidance for people and as clear proofs of true guidance and distinction (between the right and the wrong).
waqad tasarrama,
And it has come to its end;
faa`udhu biuajhika alkarimi an taghiba alshshamsu min hadha aliawmi,
Therefore, I seek the protection of Your Noble Face against that the sun sets on this day
aw yatlu`a alfajru min hdhihi alllaylaati,
Or dawn rises to put end to this night
wa laka qibaly dhanbun aw tabi`aatun,
But I am still liable for a sin or an offense
turidu an tu`adhdhibany `alayha yawma alqaka.
And You want to punish me for it on the day when I will meet You.
ay mulayyina alhadidi lidawuda,
O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David;
ay kashifa alkarbi al`azhiimi `an ayyuwba,
O He Who removed the great agony from (Prophet) Job;

salli `ala muhammadin wa `ala ahli bayti muhammadin
(please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
wa hab ly fikaka raqabaty mina alnnari
And grant me release from Hellfire
wa kulla tabi`aatin wa dhanbin laka qibali,
And from all offenses and sins for which I am liable before You
wakhtim ly bilrrida waljannati.
And (please) seal my life with Your satisfaction and Paradise.
ya aallhu ya arhama alrrahimina,
O Allah: O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy;
salli `ala muhammadin wa`ala ahli baytihi almubarakiina al-akhyari
(please) send blessings upon Muhammad and upon his Household—the blessed and the virtuous—
wa sallim tasliman.
And shower upon them thorough greeting.
allahumma ashrah bilqur’ani sadri
O Allah: (please) expand my breast through the Qur'an
wasta`mil bilqur’ani badani
And use my body for the Qur'an
wa nawwir bilqur’ani basari
And enlighten my sight by the Qur'an
wa atliq bilqur’ani lisani
And make my tongue eloquent by the Qur'an
wa a`inni `alayhi ma abqaytany
And help me carry out its duty as long as You keep me alive,
For there is neither power nor might save with You.

Dua 3 last day
It is recommended, too, to say the following supplication that is reported from Imam `Ali Amir al-Mu'mineen (a.s):
Imam Zainul Abideen(as) Dua No 45 from Sahifa Sajjadia-Bidding Farewell to the Holy Month of Ramadan -seperate page
This supplication is one of the masterpieces of the Ṣaḥīfah al-Sajjādiyyah. It is
a supplication bidding adieu to the blessed month of fasting and self-reformation, a month
that is beloved by the friends of Allah. As such, the supplication is read with the sorrow and
sadness, just as one would grieve when saying goodbye to an intimate companion or a near
relative leaving for a year-long journey.

ambatat sab-a' sanaabila fee kul-li sumbulatim-mia-atu h'ab-bati
44.that sprouts seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains;
wal-laahoo yuz''aai'fu limay-yashaaa-u)
45.so God multiplies unto whom He wills" (2:261).
waqul-ta: (man d'aal-lad'ee yuq-riz''ul-laaha qar-z''an h'asanana
46.You hast said, "Who is he that will lend to God a good loan,
fayuz''aai'fahoo lahooo az''-a'afana katheeratah)
47.and He will multiply it for him manifold" (2:245)?
wa maaa anzal-ta min naz'aaa-irihin-na fil-qur-aaani min taz''aae'efil-h'asanaat
48.And You hast sent down in the Qur'an similar verses on the multiplying of good deeds.
wa antal-lad'ee dalal-tahum biqaw-lika min ghay-bika wa tar-gheebika
49.It is You who hast pointed them through Your speech from Your Unseen and Your encouragement
lad'ee feehee h'az'-z'uhum a'laa maa law satar-tahoo a'n-hum
50.in which lies their good fortune toward that which - hadst You covered it from them
lam tud-rik-hooo ab-s'aaruhum- wa lam tai'heee as-maau'hum
51.their eyes would not have perceived, their ears would not have heard,
wa lam tal-h'aq-hooo aw-haamuhum-
52.and their imaginations would not have grasped,
faqul-ta: (ud'-kurooneee ad'-kur-kum- wa ash-kuroo lee wa laa tak-furoon)
53.for You hast said, "Remember Me and I will remember you be thankful to Me, and be you not thankless towards Me" (2:152)!
waqul-ta: (la-in shakar-tum laazeedan-nakum
54.You hast said, "If you are thankful, surely I will increase you,
wala-in kafar-tum in-na a'd'aabee lashadeed)
55.but if you are thankless, My chastisement is surely terrible" (14:7);
wa qul-ta: (ud-u'wneee as-tajib lakum
56.And You hast said, "Supplicate Me and I will respond to you,
in-nal-lad'eena yas-tak-biroona a'n i'baadatee
57.surely those who wax too proud to worship Me
sayad-khuloona jahan-nama daakhireen)
58.shall enter Gehenna utterly abject" (40:60).
fasam-may-ta dua'aa-aka i'baadah wa tar-kahoo as-tik-baaraa
59.Hence You hast named supplicating You 'worship' and refraining from it 'waxing proud',
wa tawaa'-a't-ta a'laa tar-kihee dukhoola jahan-nama daakhireen
60.and You hast threatened that the refraining from it would yield entrance into Gehenna in utter abjection.
fad'akarooka biman-nik wa shakarooka bifaz''-lik
61.So they remember You for Your kindness, they thank You for Your bounty,
wa daa'w-ka bi m-rik
62.they supplicate You by Your command,
wa tas'ad-daqoo laka t'alabal-limazeedik
63.and they donate for You in order to seek Your increase;
wa feehaa kaanat najaatuhum min ghaz''abik
64.in all this lies their deliverance from Your wrath
wa faw-zuhum biriz''aak
65.and their triumph through Your good pleasure.
wa law dal-la makh-looqum-makh-looqam-min-naf-sihee
66.Were any creature himself to direct another creature
a'laa mith-lil-lad'ee dalal-ta a'lay-hee i'baadaka minka
67.to the like of that to which You Yourself hast directed Your servants,

falakal-h'am-du maa wujida fee h'am-dika mad'-hab
70.So to You belongs praise as long as there is found a way to praise You
wa maa baqee lil-h'am-di laf-z'un tuh'-madu bihee wa maa'-nana yans'arifu ilay-h
71.and as long as there remains for praising words by which You may be praised and meanings which may be spent in praise!
yaa man tah'am-mada ilaa i'baadihee bil-ih'-saani wal-faz''-li
72.O He who shows Himself praiseworthy to His servants through beneficence and bounty,
wa ghamarahum bil-man-ni wat'-t'aw-l
73.flooding them with kindness and graciousness!

wa bas'-s'ar-tanaaz-zul-fata laday-ka wal-wus'oola ilaa karaamatik
79.and You hast shown us proximity to You and arrival at Your generosity!

81.and the most special of those obligations

82.the month of Ramadan, which You hast singled out from other months,

92.and through its excellence You hast chosen us to the exclusion of the people of the creeds.

97.And You art full of what is sought from You,

thum-ma qad faaraqanaa i'nda tamaami waq-tihee wanqit'aai' mud-datihee wa wafaaa-i a'dadih

He is its creator and its bestower! He rules thus subdues. He decrees thus is Just! He shines thus brightens! He is the Shelter of Praise and its station! Praise started with Him and ends in Him. He purified Praise for Himself. He is pleased with those who praise Him.
Rather, the greatest two things and the worst calamity for us is to let us depart from this month being disappointed and deprived with our aspirations failed and our suspicion turned to be untrue.

wa al-ham-tahu i'l-ma `aja-ibihi mukammala
inspired him with the science of its wonders to complement it,
wa war-rath-tana i'l-mahu mufas-sara
made us the heirs of its knowledge as interpreters,
wa fad-dal-tana `ala man jahila i'l-mah
made us to surpass him who is ignorant of its knowledge, and
wa qaw-way-tana `alay-hi litar-fa'na faw-qa mallam yutiq ham-lah
gave us strength over it to raise us above those not able to carry it.
allahumma fakama ja'l-ta qulubana lahu hamalah
O Allah, just as You have appointed our hearts as its carriers and
wa `ar-raf-tana birah-matika sharafahu wafad-lah
made known to us through Your mercy its nobility and excellence,
fasalli `ala muhammadinl-khatibi bihi wa `ala alihil-khuz-zani lah
so also bless Muhammad, its preacher, and his Household, its guardians, and
waj-`al-na mimmay-ya'-tarifu bi nnahu min i'ndika hat-ta
place us among those who confess that it has come from You, lest
la yu`aaridanash-shak-ku fi tas-diqih
doubt about attesting to it assail us,
wa la yakh-talijanaz-zay-ghu `an qas-di tariqih
or deviation from its straightforward path shake us
allahumma salli `ala muhammadiw-wa alih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household and
waj-`al-na mimman ya`tasimu bihab-lih
make us one of those who hold fast to its cord,
wa ya-wi minal-mutashabihati ila hir-zi ma'-qilih
seek haven from its ambiguities in its fortified stronghold,
wa yas-kunu fi zilli janahih
rest in the shadow of its wing,
wa yah-tadi bidaw-i sabahih
find guidance in the brightness of its morning,
wa yaq-tadi bitaballuji is-farih
follow the shining of its disclosure,
wa yas-tas-bihu bimis-bahih
acquire light from its lamp, and
wa la yal-tamisul-huda fi ghay-rih
beg not guidance from any other
allahumma wa kama nasab-ta bihi muhammadana `alamallild-dalati `alay-k
O Allah, just as through it You have set up Muhammad as a guidepost to point to You and
wa an-haj-ta bi alihi subular-rida ilay-k
through his Household You have made clear Your good pleasure's roads to You,
fasalli `ala muhammadiw-wa alih
so also bless Muhammad and his Household and
waj-`alil-qur-an
make the Qur’an
wasilatallana ila ash-rafi manazilil-karamah
our mediation to the noblest stations of Your honor,
wa sullamanna'-ruju fihie ila mahallis-salamah
a ladder by which we may climb to the place of safety,
wa sababannuj-za bihinnajata fi `ar-satil-qiamah
a cause for our being repaid with deliverance at the Plain of Resurrection, and
wa dhari`atannaq-dumu biha `ala nae’emi daril-muqamah
a means whereby we may reach the bliss of the House of Permanence
allahumma salli `ala muhammadiw-wa alih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household,
wah-tut bil-qur-ani `anna thiq-lal-aw-zar
lessen for us through the Qur’an the weight of heavy sins,
wa hab lana hus-na shama-ilil-ab-rar
give to us the excellent qualities of the pious, and
waq-fu bina atharalladhina qamu laka bihie ana-allay-li wa at-rafannahar
make us follow the tracks of those who stood before You in the watches of the night and the ends of the day, such that You
hat-ta tutahhirana min kulli danasim-bitat-hirih
purify us from every defilement through its purification and
wa taq-fuwa bina atharalladhina
make us to follow the tracks of those
as-tada-u binurih
Who have taken illumination from its light
wa lam yul-hihimul-amalu `anil-`amali fayaq-ta'hum bikhudai' ghururih
and whom expectation has not distracted from works, cutting them off through its delusions' deceptions!
allahumma salli `ala muhammadiw-wa alih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household and
waj-`alil-qur-ana lana
appoint the Qur’an for us

an intimate in the shadows of nights and
wa minnazaghatish-shay-tani wa khataratil-wasawisi harisa
a guardian against the instigations of SATAN and confusing thoughts,
wa liaq-damina `annaq-liha ilal-ma'asi habisa
for our feet an obstruction from passing to acts of disobedience,
wa lial-sinatina `anil-khaw-di fil-batili min ghay-ri ma afatimmukh-risa
for our tongues a silencer without blight preventing a plunge into falsehood,
wa lijawarihina `ani aq-tirafil-athami zajira
for our limbs a restrainer from committing sins, and
wa lima tawatil-ghaf-latu `anna min tasaf-fuhili`tibari nashira
for the scrutiny of heedfulness rolled up in heedlessness an unroller,
hat-ta tusila ila qulubina fah-ma `aja-ibihi wa zawajira am-thalihillati da`ufatil-jibalur-rawasi `ala salabatiha `ani ah-timalih
Such that You attach to our hearts the understanding of the Qur’an's wonders and its restraining similitudes which immovable mountains in all their solidity were too weak to carry!
allahumma salli `ala muhammadiw-wa alih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household and

Eid Night & Day Aamal

A Point about Saying Goodbye to the Month of Ramadhan -Iqbal Aamal
If one asks and says: “What is the meaning of saying goodbye to the month of Ramadhan although the month of Ramadhan is lifeless, we say that: „The wise people before the Prophet (MGB), at his time and later always speak with the land, the homeland, youth, good times, safety and goodness. When Islamic literature appeared, it approved what the intellect and understanding decree given the fact that even the Holy Qur‟an used the same style where the Honorable the Exalted God says: “One Day We will ask Hell, “Art You filled to the full?” It will say,“Are there any more (to come)?”1 As you consider, the Noble Qur‟an informs them that Hell spoke. And the meaning of this is that it spoke with the mute tongue. There are many similar instances to this in the Noble Qur‟an, in the words of the Noble Prophet (MGB) and the Divine Leaders (MGB) - may God‟s greetings be upon them – and the words of the learned ones. And there is no need to elongate this for the wise people.
Based upon this, also the mute tongue of those who pay attention to the month of Ramadhan from among the believers and the Muslims do better than those who addressed the lands and the homelands. They benefit more from it than their relatives and the month of Ramadhan is more important to them than lands and art works. Now they are forced to say farewell to it at the time of separating from the month of Ramadhan.
Saying farewell to the month of Ramadhan needs more explanation since those who say farewell to it are in several groups as follows.
One group of them pursue attaining God‟s Wants and observe the etiquette of this month in public and private. They say farewell to the month of fasting like those who were loyal and kept their promise. They do so as the farewell supplications of our Master Zayn al-Abedin (as) with the month of Ramadhan are.
Another group have acted according to God‟s Wants sometimes and have kept distance with its requirements with negligence or disobedience at other times. They should not say farewell to this month if they have not observed the fasting etiquette at its end since those who are separate from each other never say farewell to each other. The mind and the intellect require that one should say farewell to those who are in agreement with us. However, if they were behaving well when the month of Ramadhan ends, then they may say farewell to it to according to how much they respected it. Moreover, they should ask for forgiveness from God, become regretful for how they were in that month, and at the time of saying farewell, they should regret a lot for the fact that they have sometimes misbehaved during it.
Another group do not spend the month of Ramadhan with sincerity. Rather, some are unhappy since the month of Ramadhan prevents them from their habits of taking God‟s Remembrance lightly while God is aware of the unseen. In reality, these people were not with the month of Ramadhan to say farewell to it. Rather, when the month of Ramadhan had landed near their house, they were not a good neighbor for it. They disliked it and they treated it badly. Thus, it does not make sense for them to say farewell to the month of Ramadhan and whatever they say shall not even be heard.
O‟ man! Do not be like one to whom a needless guest enters – an important guest who has not come from there since last year – and he gives you blessings and forgiveness plus many gifts, fulfillment of your demands and attention that cannot be expressed in words. Do not be a bad host for that generous guest, do not mistreat him, debase him or treat him like a bad guest. If you do so, the guest may leave you while blaming you and you will be disgraced and regretful. Thus, either be good with him and recognize the rights of this guest who has brought along prosperity, mercy, kindness and safety from fears or at least be neutral with him. Thus, do not treat him badly and with impoliteness because you ruin yourself with your bad deeds, and you become infamous near the kings and the generous ones who have attained safety and Divine Pleasure.
Regarding the time of saying farewell with the fasting month, the following is reported on the authority of one of the Divine Leaders (MGB) in a book by a group of our scholars. It was written in a letter in which the questions of a group of the important narrators have been discussed was asked is as follows.“When is the time of saying farewell to the month of Ramadhan; because our companions have disagreement about this. Some say: “It is on its last night.” “And some say, „It is on its last day when the crescent moon of the month of Sha‟wal is seen.‟ ”
The answer: “The deeds of the month of Ramadhan are on its nights, the farewell is on its last night. However, if you fear that the month may end in less than thirty days, you should say farewell on two nights.”
This was the exact text of the narration that we had obtained and quoted. Thus, try to correct your inner self at the time of saying farewell with the month of Ramadhan since man sees his state. Choose the best time to say farewell to the virtue which existed in the month of Ramadhan. Do so in the best time on the last night as it was written in the past narration. However, if it is not possible on the last night, say farewell to it in the last moments of the last day of separating from the month of Ramadhan. Based upon this, anytime you had a good month of Ramadhan, express farewell to it on its last day or night like you say farewell to your intimate and loyal friends who recognize the right of a good guest: And regret for separating from it to the extent which you lose the benefits and rewards of a party. Cry and shed tears as you would do so when friends separate from each other after gathering together.
Al-Sheikh Ja‟far ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duristy narrated in the book Kitab al-Husna, through a chain of documents on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari:
“I went to see God‟s Prophet (MGB) on the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan. Once he (MGB) saw me, he (MGB) said, “O‟ Jabir! This is the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan. Bid farewell to it and say the following:
„O‟ my God! Please do not make this the last month of Ramadhan in our lifetime. However, if You decide to do so, then please let me enjoy Your Mercy and do not deprive me of it.‟ ” Indeed whoever recites this shall gain two benefits: He either lives to the next month of Ramadhan or is forgiven by God with His Mercy.
