The holy month of Ramadan
Ramadan -27th
Important night 27th of the Month of Ramadhan. Also narrated as Shab e Qadr in some tradtitions.It is also mentioned that if prayers have been rejected in previous nights - Night of 27 is another chance for acceptance.

Amaal Eve 27- (night preceeding day 27)
Pray 4 Rak-a’t In every Rak-a’t, after the recitation of Soorah Al Faatih’ah, recite Soorah al Mulk once or Soorah Al Ikhlaas 25 times.
Ghusl is recommended.
It is also recommended to do the minimum Aamal of Laylatul Qadr of the 2 Rakat Salat & Quran Aamal

Dua narrated on the authority of the Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him and his family)-Iqbal Aamal


رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنا ذُنُوبَنا وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئاتِنا وَ تَوَفَّنا مَعَ الْأَبْرارِ
“Our Lord! We have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, „Believe ye in the Lord,‟ and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous.

رَبَّنا وَ آتِنا ما وَعَدْتَنا عَلى‌ رُسُلِكَ وَ لا تُخْزِنا يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ إِنَّكَ لا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعادَ
Our Lord! Grant us what You didst promise unto us through Your apostles, and save us from shame on the Day of Judgment: For You never breakest Your promise.‟1 „

رَبَّنا أَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَ أَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنا بِذُنُوبِنا فَهَلْ إِلى‌ خُرُوجٍ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ‌
Our Lord! Twice hast Thou made us without life, and twice hast Thou given us Life! Now have we established our sins: Is there any way out (of this)?‟2 „

رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذابَها كانَ غَراماً رَبَّنا هَبْ لَنا مِنْ أَزْواجِنا وَ ذُرِّيَّاتِنا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَ اجْعَلْنا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِماماً
Our Lord! Avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous.‟3 „Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.‟4

رَبَّنا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنا وَ إِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنا وَ إِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
„…Our Lord! In You do we trust, and to You do we turn in repentance: to You is (our) Final Goal. Our Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial for the Unbelievers, but forgive us, our Lord! For You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise….‟5

رَبَّنا لا تَجْعَلْنا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنا ذُنُوبَنَا وَ لِإِخْوانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونا بِالْإِيمانِ وَ لا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
„Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed.

رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ رَؤُفٌ رَحِيمٌ‌ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
Our Lord! You are indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.‟ ”

وَ اسْتُرْ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوبِي وَ عُيُوبِي وَ اغْفِرْ لِي بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدِ إِنَّكَ الرَّءُوفُ الرَّحِيمُ
Conceal our sins and defects and forgive us for the sake Muhammad and his progeny (saws) surely you are most gracious and merciful




Dua'a for 27th Ramadhan until end of Ramadan-Imam Zain ul Abideen(as)
It has been narrated that Imam `Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-`Abidin (`a) used to repeat the following prayer throughout this night. The dua seeks 'Tajafi' a state of readiness to leave this material world (eg. as in the congregation prayer when u have joined in 2nd rakat & while in tashahud & are ready to rise up). In this position only the very necessary parts of the body touch the ground ,indicating minimum attachment to the world. Tajafi Image | Exposition

اللَّهُمَّ ٱرْزُقْنِي ٱلتَّجَافِيَ عَنْ دَارِ ٱلْغُرُورِ
allahumma urzuqni alttajafiya `an dari alghururi
O Allah, (please) present me alienation from the abode of delusion,

وَٱلإِنَابَةَ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلْخُلُودِ
wal-inabata ila dari alkhuludi
turning to the abode of eternity,

وَٱلاِسْتِعدَادَ لِلْمَوْتِ قَبْلَ حُلُولِ ٱلْفَوتِ
walisti`dada lilmawti qabla hululi alfawti
and readiness for death before it is too late.

Alternate Translation : O' Allah please bestow upon me the divine grace so that I become disgusted with this world - the House of deception - and become attracted towards the Hereafter - the House of Eternity - and before the arrival of my death, should make myself readied for the journey towards the Next world.”



Second Dua 27th Night-Companions Sayyed Ibn Tawus-Iqbal Amaal

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ بَدَائِعَهُ بِقُدْرَتِهِ وَ مَلَكَ الْأُمُورَ بِعِزَّتِهِ وَ عَدَلَ فَلَا يَجُورُ وَ أَنْصَفَ فَلَا يَحِيفُ
“Praise be to God, Who created His New Phenomenon by His Power, Ruled the affairs with His Might, Did Justice without oppression, was Fair and did not incline away from fairness.

وَ كَيْفَ يَجُورُ وَ يَحِيفُ عَلَى مَنْ سَمَّاهُ بِالضَّعْفِ وَ قَرَعَهُ بِالْفَقْرِ وَ نَبَّهَهُ عَلَى الْغِنَاءِ الْأَكْبَرِ مِنْ رِضْوَانِهِ وَ دَعَاهُ إِلَى الْحَظِّ الْأَوْفَرِ مِنْ غُفْرَانِهِ وَ أَشْرَعَ لَهُ إِلَى ذَلِكَ السَّبِيلَ وَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَلِجَهَا بِصَالِحِ الْعَمَلِ
How could He oppress or be unfair to one whom He has called weak and poor, and has made him aware of his greatest need being His Pleasure, and has invited to enjoy the most from His Forgiveness, has paved the way to walk on this Path and has ordered us to do so with good deeds?

لَمْ يُتَّهَمْ بِالشَّقْوَةِ مَنْ أَمَرَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَ بِالْجَوْرِ عَلَى الْعَبِيدِ بَلْ أَوْجَبَ الْعِقَابَ عَلَى فَاسِقِهِمْ وَ الثَّوَابَ لِمَنْ نَهَاهُمْ
No. He cannot be accused of tyranny since He has ordered to have mercy, promised the servants punishment for oppression, chastisement for committing sins and reward for those who admonish against it.

مَنْ هُوَ أَشْفَقُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ أُمِّ الْفُرُوخِ عَلَى فَرْخِهَا تَعَالَى اللَّهُ عَمَّا يَقُولُ الظَّالِمُونَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً
He is even kinder to them than a bird is to its newborns! God is Sublime and indeed He is exalted above what the evil-doers say! „Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!‟1

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ صَوَّمَنِي عَنِ الطَّعَامِ وَ الشَّرَابِ وَ مَنْ فَرَقُهُ بِمَا يُوَرِّطُنِي فِي أَلِيمِ الْعَذَابِ فيخلصني [يُخَلِّصُنِي‌] مِنَ الْعِقَابِ بِصِيَامٍ واجب [أَوْجَبَ‌] لِيَ الثَّوَابَ بِصِيَامٍ لَهُ
Glory be to Him who made me fast by abstaining from food and drinks so that He may save me from the march of painful torture and released me from Chastisement with the reward He granted me for the obligatory fast.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى أَنْ هَدَانِي وَ عَافَانِي وَ كَفَانِي كَمَا يَسْتَحِقُّ الْجَوَادُ الْكَرِيمُ
Praise be to God who guided me, gave me well-being and took care of me as it best fits the Generous – the Benevolent.

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ [وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ‌] صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلِّمْ تَسْلِيماً كَثِيراً.
O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB) – the Immaculate, the pure ones and may His peace be on them plentifully.”




Daily Dua- Day 27


اللّهُمّ ارْزُقْنِي فِيهِ فَضْلَ لَيْلَةِ القَدْرِ،
allahumma arzuqny fihi fadla laylati alqadri
O Allah; on this day, (please) provide me with the merits of the Grand Night,

وَصَيّرْ أُمُورِي فِيهِ مِنَ العُسْرِ إِلَى اليُسْرِ،
wa sayyir ’umury fihi mina al`usri ila aliyusri
And convert my affairs from difficulty into easiness,

وَاقْبَلْ مَعَاذِيرِي،
waqbal ma`adhiri
And accept my apologies,

وَحُطّ عَنّي الذّنْبَ وَالوِزْرَ،
wa hutt `anni aldhdhanba wal-uizra
And let off my sins and burdens;

يَا رَؤُوفاً بِعِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِينَ.
ya ra’ufan bi`ibadihi alssalihina
O He Who is kind with His righteous servants.





Last 10 Nights 27 Special -Iqbal Aamal



يَا مَادَّ ٱلظِّلِّ
ya madda aldhilli
O Spreader of the shade

وَلَوْ شِئْتَ لَجَعَلْتَهُ سَاكِناً
wa law shi'ta laja`altahu sakinan
and if You willed, You could make it still,

وَجَعَلْتَ ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلاً
wa ja`alta alshshamsa `alayhi dalilan
then You have made the sun its pilot,

ثُمَّ قَبَضْتَهُ إِلَيْكَ قَبْضاً يَسِيراً
thumma qabadtahu ilayka qabdan yasiran
then You withdraw it to Us, a gradual withdrawal!

يَاذَا ٱلْجُودِ وَٱلطَّوْلِ
ya dha aljudi walttawli
O Lord of magnanimity, conferral,

وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَٱلآلاَءِ
walkibrya'i wal-ala'i
greatness, and bounties!

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ
la ilaha illa anta
There is no god save You!

عَالِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَادَةِ
`alimu alghaybi walshshahadati
You are the Knower of the hidden and the witnessed,

ٱلرَّحْمٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
alrrahmanu alrrahimu
the All-beneficent, the All-merciful!

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ
la ilaha illa anta
There is no god save You.

يَا قُدُّوسُ يَا سَلاَمُ
ya quddusu ya salamu
O All-holy! O (Source of) Peace!

يَا مُؤْمِنُ يَا مُهَيْمِنُ
ya mu'minu ya muhayminu
O Grantor of security! O Dominant!

يَا عَزِيزُ يَا جَبَّارُ
ya `azizu ya jabbaru
O Mighty! O Omnipotent!

يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ يَا اللَّهُ
ya mutakabbiru ya allahu
O All-great! O Allah!

يَا خَالِقُ يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ
ya khaliqu ya bari'u ya musawwiru
O Creator! O Maker! O Fashioner!

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ
ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!

لَكَ ٱلاسْمَاءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
laka al-asma'u alhusna
To You are the Most Excellent Names,

وَٱلامْثَالُ ٱلْعُلْيَا
wal-amthalu al`ulya
the most elevated examples,

وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَٱلآلاَءُ
walkibriya’u wal-ala'u
greatness, and bounties.

اسْالُكَ انْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَانْ تَجْعَلَ ٱسْمِي فِي هٰذِهِ ٱللَّيْلَةِ فِي ٱلسُّعَدَاءِ
wa an taj`ala ismi fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada'i
include my name with the list of the happiest ones,

وَرُوحِي مَعَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ
wa ruhi ma`a alshshuhada'i
add my soul to the martyrs,

وَإِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ
wa ihsani fi `illiyyina
record my good deeds in the most exalted rank,

وَإِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً
wa isa'ati maghfuratan
decide my offense to be forgiven,

وَانْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي
wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi
grant me certitude that fills in my heart

وَإِيـمَاناً يُذْهِبُ ٱلشَّكَّ عَنِّي
wa imanan yudhhibu alshshakka `anni
and faith that removes doubt from me,

وَتُرْضِيَنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
wa turdiyani bima qasamta li
make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me,

وَآتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan
grant us reward in this world

وَفِي ٱلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wa fi al-akhirati hasanatan
and reward in the Hereafter,

وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi
save us from the torment of the burning Fire,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَٱلرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ
warzuqni fiha dhikraka wa shukraka walrraghbata ilayka
and confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, desiring for You,

وَٱلإِنَابَةَ وَٱلتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ
wal-inabata walttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu
turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.





Another day dua-Iqbal
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ‌ لا يَعْلَمُها إِلَّا هُوَ
Glory be to God who has the keys of the unseen.

وَ يَعْلَمُ ما فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ
None but He knows them. He knows what is in the land and the sea.

وَ ما تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُها وَ لا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُماتِ الْأَرْضِ وَ لا رَطْبٍ وَ لا يابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتابٍ مُبِينٍ‌
Not a leaf falls but He knows it, not a grain grows in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry but it is noted in a Clear Book.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ
Glory be to God, the Creator of the breath of life!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْمُصَوِّرِ
Glory be to God, the Bestower of Forms!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ الْأَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا
Glory be to God who created all the pairs, male and female!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَ النُّورِ
Glory be to God who fixed the darkness and light!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَ النَّوَى سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ
Glory be to God who splits grains and seeds! Glory be to God, the Creator of all things!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرَى وَ مَا لَا يُرَى
Glory be to God, the Creator of the seen and the unseen!

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ‌
Glory be to God to the Extent of His Words!

سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ رَبِ‌
Glory be to God – Lord of the worlds.‟1 three times>
