Significance
The Holy Prophet (saws) is reported to have said “On the middle night of the month of Rajab, God the Sublime orders those who keep and record the Records of Deeds of the people to look at the records and wipe out any bad deeds that are found and replace them with good deeds.”
It is recommended to spend this whole night in acts of worship.
Perform Ghusl
Ziyarah of Imam Husain (as) Specific for the Night of 15th Rajab
Another Ziyarah of Imam Husain (as) Common for Night/Day of 15th Rajab
Sayyid Ibn Tawus has narrated this prayer in this form from Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him):
On the fifteenth night of Rajab, you may offer a twelve-unit prayer in sets of 2 .In each unit of which you may recite; 4 times each of the following Surahs:- Surah Fatihah, Surah Ikhlaas, al-Falaq, al-Naas, Ayah al-Kursi and Surah Qadr
After that, repeat the following four times:
اللَّهُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي
allahu allahu rabbi
Allah, Allah is my Lord.

لاَ اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً
la ushriku bihi shay'an
I do not associate anyone with Him

وَلاَ اتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِ وَلِيّاً
wa la attakhidhu min dunihi waliyyan
and I do not betake any Master other than Him.

Salat shorter method reported-Recite a 12 Rakat Salah: 6x2 with reciting Sura Fatiha and any other Sura in each Rakah
When you finish, recite Surah Fatih’ah, Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Falaq, Surah Kaafiroon, Surah Naas, Surah Qadr and Aayatul Kursi 4 times each.
Then recite the following 4 times:
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
subhana allahi walhamdu lillahi
All glory be to Allah,all praise be to Allah,

وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ
wa la ilaha illa allahu wallahu akbaru
there is no god save Allah,and Allah is the Greatest.

You may then say the following:
اللَّهُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي
allahu allahu rabbi
Allah, Allah is my Lord.

لاَ اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً
la ushriku bihi shay'an
I do not associate anyone with Him.

وَمَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ
wa ma sha'a allahu
Only shall that which Allah wills happen.

لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi
There is no power save with Allah, the Most High, the All-great.

Another Salat consisting of 30 units in each of which one should recite Surah al-Fatihah one time and Surah al-Tawheed ten times.
Sayyid Ibn Tawus has reported this prayer from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) with an abundant reward.
Recite the last of the 6 rakats of the 12 Rak-a’t Salah over 3 nights of 13,14,15 in sets of 2 On the Night of 15th recite 6 Rak-a’t:
In each Rak-a’t recite Surah Fatih’ah, Surah Yasin, Surah Mulk and Sura Ikhlaas.
You should entrust your deeds to the Ahlulbayt(as) at dawn when this session is about to end. You should take refuge in them, ask them to complete your deeds and ask them to present it to God the Exalted, and help with the fulfillment of your needs.





Take a Ghusl on this day.
It is recommended to visit the holy shrine of Imam al-Husain (peace be upon him) on this day. It has been narrated that Abu-Basir asked Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him) about the best times of visiting Imam al-Husayn’s tomb. The Imam (peace be upon him) answered, “These are the fifteenth of Rajab and the fifteenth of Sha`ban.”

A'amal Umme Dawood is performed on the day of 15th Rajab
Adi ibn Sabit al-Ansari says went to see Imam Ali(as) on the 15 Rajab.who pointed to me to stand to pray behind him. I did so and said four units of prayers.
Recite a 4 [2x2] unit (raka') prayer and after accomplishment raise your hands and say:


اَللَّهُمَّ يَا مُذِلَّ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ
allahumma ya mudhilla kulli jabbarin
O Allah, O He Who humiliates all the tyrants!

وَيَا مُعِزَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
wa ya mu`izza almu'minina
O He Who dignifies the believers!

أَنْتَ كَهْفِي حِينَ تُعْيِينِي ٱلْمَذَاهِبُ
anta kahfi hina tu`yini almadhahibu
Verily, You are my Shelter when all courses mislead me

وَأَنْتَ بَارِئُ خَلْقِي رَحْمَةً بِي
wa anta bari'u khalqi rahmatan bi
and You are the Maker of my creation out of Your having mercy upon me,

وَقَدْ كُنْتَ عَنْ خَلْقِي غَنِيّاً
wa qad kunta `an khalqi ghaniyyan
while You have never needed to create me.

وَلَوْلاَ رَحْمَتُكَ لَكُنْتُ مِنَ ٱلْهَالِكِينَ
wa lawla rahmatuka lakuntu min alhalikina
Were it not for Your mercy, I would be of those who perish.

وَأَنْتَ مُؤَيِّدِي بِٱلنَّصْرِ عَلَىٰ أَعْدَائِي
wa anta mu'ayyidi bilnnasri `ala a`da'i
You are my backer against my enemies,

وَلَوْلاَ نَصْرُكَ إِيَّايَ لَكُنْتُ مِنَ ٱلْمَفْضُوحِينَ
wa lawla nasruka iyyaya lakuntu min almafduhina
and were it not for Your support, I would be of those who are exposed.

يَا مُرْسِلَ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ مِنْ مَعَادِنِهَا
ya mursila alrrahmati min ma`adiniha
O He Who sends mercy from its origin!

وَمُنْشِئَ ٱلْبَرَكَةِ مِنْ مَوَاضِعِهَا
wa munshi'a albarakati min mawadi`iha
O He Who originates blessings from their centers!

يَا مَنْ خَصَّ نَفْسَهُ بِٱلشُّمُوخِ وَٱلرِّفْعَةِ
ya man khassa nafsahu bilshshumukhi walrrif`ati
O He Who has given Himself exclusively disdain and elevation;

فَأَوْلِيَاؤُهُ بِعِزِّهِ يَتَعَزَّزُونَ
fa awliya'uhu bi`izzihi yata`azzazuna
therefore, His saints feel dignified out of His Honor!

وَيَا مَنْ وَضَعَتْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلُوكُ نِيرَ ٱلْمَذَلَّةِ عَلَىٰ أَعْنَاقِهِمْ
wa ya man wada`at lahu almuluku nira almadhallati `ala a`naqihim
O He for Whom all kings have put the yoke of humiliation on their necks;

فَهُمْ مِنْ سَطَوَاتِهِ خَائِفُونَ
fahum min satawatihi kha'ifuna
they are therefore fearful of His supremacy!

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَيْنُونِيَّتِكَ ٱلَّتِي ٱشْتَقَقْتَهَا مِنْ كِبْرِيَائِكَ
as'aluka bikaynuniyyatika allati ishtaqaqtaha min kibriya'ika
I pray You in the name of Your Entity from which You have derived Your Pride,

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِكِبْرِيَائِكَ ٱلَّتِي ٱشْتَقَقْتَهَا مِنْ عِزَّتِكَ
wa as'aluka bikibriya'ika allati ishtaqaqtaha min `izzatika
I pray You in the name of Your Pride from which You have derived Your Dignity,

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزِّتِكَ ٱلَّتِي ٱسْتَوَيْتَ بِهَا عَلَىٰ عَرْشِكَ
wa as'aluka bi`izzatika allati istawayta biha `ala `arshika
I pray You in the name of Your Dignity by which You have been firmly established on the throne of authority;

فَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا جَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ
fakhalaqta biha jami`a khalqika
so, You have created all Your creatures who are,

فَهُمْ لَكَ مُذْعِنُونَ
fahum laka mudh`inuna
as a result, submissive to You.

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi
[I pray You to] send blessings to Muhammad and upon his Household.

From Iqbal Aamal:-
Section 60 On the Secrets of the 15th Rajab
Beware that this is the day for which there are secrets and many gifts are bestowed on it, the poor become needless and the grief-stricken people will feel relief. Thus you should turn to God and ask him to improve your affairs. Consider yourself to be in the presence of the Lord and a guest of the Prophet (as). Remember that you might not live and see the next middle day of the month of Rajab!
The following narration has been reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas. Adam (as) said: “O‟ Lord! Please let me know of Your most loved days and times.”
Then God the Blessed the Sublimed revealed to him, “O‟ Adam! The most loved times for me are the middle day of the month of Rajab. O‟ Adam! Seek proximity to me on the middle day of the month of Rajab by offering, feeding people, fasting, reciting supplications and asking for forgiveness and saying, „There is no God but God.‟
O‟ Adam! I have destined to appoint a Prophet (as) from your lineage who is not bad-tempered and does not yell in the bazaar. He is kind, merciful, and highly blessed. I will especially honor him and his nation with the middle day of the month of Rajab. I shall grant whatever asked for. I shall forgive whoever asks for forgiveness. I shall provide for whoever asks for provisions. I shall overlook any mistakes. I shall have Mercy upon whoever asks for Mercy. O‟ Adam! Whoever is fasting in the morning of the middle day of the month of Rajab while mentioning God, humble, protecting his private parts and giving charity using his wealth shall have no reward near Me but Paradise.

The Other Events of the Fifteenth Day of Rajab
 It has been reported inarration: “On the fifteenth day of Rajab, God‟s Prophet (as) left Sha‟b Abu Talib.
Also on this day, God‟s Prophet (as) married off our Master Fatima Zahra (as) to our Master Ali (as) with God‟s permission.
Also, in this day the Qibla was changed from Jerusalem and the Muslims said the evening prayer facing the Ka‟ba.




Shorter method:
If one does not know these chapters or is unable to recite all these sooras, he should recite folowing
Tasbeehat-e-Arba'a 100 times; Al Hamd 100 times, Sura Tawhid 100 times, Ayatul Kursi 10 times. Salawat 100 times.
THEN Sura Tawhid again 1000 times instead of the many surahs. Refrence
Shaikh Mufid has also mentioned similar method. Syed Tawoos in Iqbal Aamal has also mentioned (if in safar/ travel) 100 times Sura Tawhid instead of all surahs.
Normal method
Fast on 13 , 14 and 15th Rajab
On 15 Rajab, After the obligatory Zuhr-Asr Prayer is completed, face the Qiblah and recite the following surah multiple times as stated in the table below:

Method of Salaah of 10 units on First,15th and last day of Rajab
10 Raka' ( 2 units each x 5 ).
In each Raka' recite; Surah Al-Fatihah once, Surah Al Ikhlas 3 times and Surah Al Kafiroon 3 times
After Salaam (at the end of EACH 2 units) raise your hands and say the common recitation and the specific recitation for each of the days respectively:

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ
la ilaha illa allahu
There is no god save Allah,

وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ
wahdahu la sharika lahu
the One and Only Who has no partner.

لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ
lahu almulku wa lahu alhamdu
To him is the kingdom and to Him is all praise.

يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ
yuhyi wa yumitu
He gives life and causes to die

وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ
wa huwa hayyun la yamutu
while He is Ever-living and never dies.

بِيَدِهِ ٱلْخَيْرُ
biyadihi alkhayru
In His hand is the good

وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
wa huwa `ala kulli shay'in qadirun
and He has power over all things.

Fifteenth (i.e. middle) of Rajab the following should be added after the first recitation at end of each 2 Rakat::
إِلٰهاً وَاحِداً أَحَداً
ilahan wahidan ahadan
The Lord Who is One, One and Only,

فَرْداً صَمَداً
fardan samadan
Singular, and Besought by the all,

لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلاَ وَلَداً
lam yattakhidh sahibatan wa la waladan
has betaken neither a wife nor a son.


Then, one should pass the hands over the face and submit his requests.
Salman Farsi narrates that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him and his family) said "O Salmaan, there is no Mumin/Muminah (True Believer/Female Believer) who performs 30 Raka' in the month of Rajab; that Allah does forgive them their sins and bestows rewards upon them as upon a person who has fasted a whole month. He becomes among those who will be steadfast in their salaat in the year which is to come. For him, the deeds of the day are equal to that of the martyr. He will be raised with the Martyrs of the Holy Battle of Badr. For him is written for the fast of each day, one year's worship. His station is raised 1000 times higher.”
He said Jibreel informed me "O Muhammad this is the sign between you and the Mushrikeen (Polytheists) and the Munaafiqeen (Hypocrites) because the Munafiq does not perform this Salaat."
