اللَّهُمَّ يَا اللَّهُ.

Allahumma ya Allahu.

O Allah, O Allah.

[أَنْتَ الْقَدِيمُ يَا اللَّهُ‌].

[Anta al-qadeemu ya Allahu.]

You are the Eternal, O Allah.

أَنْتَ الدَّائِمُ الْقَائِمُ يَا اللَّهُ.

[Anta ad-daa’imu al-qaa’imu ya Allahu.]

You are the Everlasting and Sustainer, O Allah.

أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ يَا اللَّهُ.

[Anta al-Hayyu al-Qayyoomu ya Allahu.]

You are the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, O Allah.

أَنْتَ الْعَلِيُّ الْأَعْلَى يَا اللَّهُ.

[Anta al-‘Aliyyu al-A‘la ya Allahu.]

You are the Most High, the Exalted, O Allah.

أَنْتَ الْمُتَعَالِي فِي عُلُوِّكَ.

[Anta al-Muta‘aalee fee ‘uluwika.]

You are the Transcendent in Your Exaltedness.

إِلَهُ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ.

[Ilahu kulli shay’in wa Rabb kulli shay’in.]

The God of all things and the Lord of all things.

وَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ.

[Wa khaliqu kulli shay’in.]

And the Creator of all things.

وَ صَانِعُ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ.

[Wa saani‘u kulli shay’in.]

And the Maker of all things.

الْقَاضِي الْأَكْبَرُ الْقَدِيرُ الْمُقْتَدِرُ.

[Al-Qaadi al-Akbaru al-Qadeeru al-Muqtadiru.]

The Supreme Judge, the Omnipotent, the All-Powerful.

تَبَارَكَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ.

[Tabaarakat asmaa’uka.]

Blessed are Your Names.

وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ.

[Wa jalla thanaa’uka.]

And Exalted is Your Praise.

[وَ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ‌].

[Wa laa ilaaha ghayruk.]

And there is no deity besides You.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ.

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin.

O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad.

وَ [عَلَى‌] آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ.

Wa [‘ala] aali Muhammadin.

And upon the family of Muhammad.

وَ عَرِّفْنَا بَرَكَةَ شَهْرِنَا هَذَا.

Wa ‘arifna barakata shahrina hadha.

And make us recognize the blessings of this month of ours.

وَ ارْزُقْنَا يُمْنَهُ وَ نُورَهُ.

Wa arzuqna yumna wa noorahu.

And grant us its auspiciousness and light.

وَ نَصْرَهُ وَ خَيْرَهُ وَ بِرَّهُ.

Wa nasrahu wa khayrahu wa birrahu.

And its victory, goodness, and righteousness.

وَ سَهِّلْ لِي فِيهِ مَا أُحِبُّهُ.

Wa sahhil lee feehi ma uhibbuhu.

And make easy for me in it what I love.

وَ يَسِّرْ لِي فِيهِ مَا أُرِيدُهُ.

Wa yassir lee feehi ma ureeduhu.

And facilitate for me in it what I desire.

وَ أَوْصِلْنِي إِلَى بُغْيَتِي فِيهِ‌.

Wa awsilnee ila bughyatee feehi.

And lead me to my goal in it.

إِنَّكَ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

Innaka ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.

Indeed, You have power over all things.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ.

Allahumma inni as’aluka.

O Allah, I ask You.

يَا مَنْ يَمْلِكُ حَوَائِجَ السَّائِلِينَ.

Ya man yamliku hawaa’ija as-saa’ileen.

O You who possesses the needs of those who ask.

وَ يَعْلَمُ ضَمِيرَ الصَّامِتِينَ.

Wa ya‘lamu dameera as-saamiteen.

And knows the innermost thoughts of the silent.

يَا مَنْ لِكُلِّ مَسْأَلَةٍ.

Ya man li kulli mas’alah.

O You to whom every question belongs.

عِنْدَهُ سَمْعٌ حَاضِرٌ وَ جَوَابٌ عَتِيدٌ.

‘Indahu sam‘un hadirun wa jawaabun ‘ateed.

Who has attentive hearing and a ready response.

وَ كُلِّ صَامَتٍ عِلْمٌ مِنْهُ [به‌].

Wa kulli saamitin ‘ilmun minhu [bihi].

And for every silent one, knowledge comes from Him.

بَاطِنٌ مُحِيطٌ مَوَاعِيدُكَ الصَّادِقَةُ.

Baatinun muheetun mawaa‘eeduka as-sadiqah.

Your hidden knowledge encompasses all; Your promises are true.

وَ أَيَادِيكَ النَّاطِقَةُ.

Wa ayaadika an-naatiqah.

And Your blessings speak loudly.

وَ نِعَمُكَ السَّابِغَةُ.

Wa ni‘amuka as-saabighah.

And Your blessings are ever-flowing.

وَ أَيَادِيكَ الْفَاضِلَةُ.

Wa ayaadika al-faadhilah.

And Your bounties are abundant.

وَ رَحْمَتُكَ الْوَاسِعَةُ.

Wa rahmatuka al-waasi‘ah.

And Your mercy is vast.

إِلَهِي خَلَقْتَنِي.

Ilahi khalaqtani.

My God, You created me.

وَ لَمْ أَكُ شَيْئاً مَذْكُوراً.

Wa lam akun shay’an madhkura.

And I was nothing worth mentioning.

وَ أَنَا عَائِذُكَ [عائذ بك‌].

Wa ana ‘a’idhuka [‘a’idh bika].

And I seek refuge in You.

وَ عَائِذٌ إِلَيْكَ.

Wa ‘a’idhun ilayka.

And I turn to You.

وَ قَدْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي.

Wa qad thalamtu nafsi.

I have wronged myself.

وَ أَنَا مُقِرٌّ لَكَ بِالْعُبُودِيَّةِ.

Wa ana muqirrul laka bil-‘uboodiyyah.

And I acknowledge my servitude to You.

مُعْتَرِفٌ لَكَ بِالرُّبُوبِيَّةِ.

Mu‘tarifun laka bir-ruboobiyyah.

And I confess Your Lordship.

مُسْتَغْفِرٌ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي.

Mustaghfirun min dhunoobi.

I seek forgiveness for my sins.

فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي.

Fa as’aluka an taghfira li.

So I ask You to forgive me.

يَا مَنْ‌ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْ‌ءٌ.

Ya man laysa kamithlihi shay’un.

O You, there is nothing like unto You.

وَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ.

Wa huwa as-samee‘u al-baseer.

And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ.

Ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram.

O Possessor of Majesty and Honor.

يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ.

Ya Hannan, Ya Mannan.

O Most Compassionate, O Bestower.

يَا مَنْ أَظْهَرَ الْجَمِيلَ.

Ya man athhara al-jameel.

O You who reveals beauty.

وَ سَتَرَ الْقَبِيحَ.

Wa satara al-qabeeh.

And conceals ugliness.

وَ [يَا مَنْ‌] لَمْ يُؤَاخِذْ بِالْجَرِيرَةِ.

Wa [Ya man] lam yu’aakhidh bil-jareerah.

O You who does not punish for sins.

وَ لَمْ يَهْتِكِ السِّتْرَ.

Wa lam yahtiki as-sitra.

And does not expose faults.

يَا عَظِيمَ الْعَفْوِ.

Ya Adheema al-‘Afw.

O the Great Forgiver.

يَا حَسَنَ التَّجَاوُزِ.

Ya Hasana at-Tajawuz.

O You who excels in overlooking faults.

يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ.

Ya Wasi‘a al-Maghfirah.

O the One whose forgiveness is vast.

يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ.

Ya Basita al-Yadayn bir-Rahmah.

O You who stretches out both hands with mercy.

وَ الْمَشِيَّةِ وَ الْقُدْرَةِ.

Wa al-Masheeyati wal-Qudrah.

And willpower and ability.

وَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَ النُّورِ.

Wa adh-Dhulumaati wan-Noor.

And darkness and light.

يَا صَاحِبَ كُلِّ نَجْوَى.

Ya Saahiba kulli Najwa.

O Companion of every whispered prayer.

وَ مُنْتَهَى كُلِّ شَكْوَى.

Wa Muntaha kulli Shakwa.

And the One who ends every complaint.

وَ وَلِيَّ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ.

Wa Waliyyu kulli Hasanah.

And the Guardian of every good deed.

وَ نِعْمَةٍ يَا كَرِيمَ الصَّفْحِ.

Wa Ni‘mah, Ya Kareema as-Safh.

And every blessing, O Generous Pardoner.

يَا عَظِيمَ الْمَنِّ.

Ya Adheema al-Mann.

O the Magnificent Benefactor.

يَا مُبْتَدِئَ النِّعَمِ [يا مبتدئا بالنعم‌].

Ya Mubtadi’a an-Ni‘am [Ya Mubtadi’an bil-Ni‘am].

O You who initiates blessings.

قَبْلَ اسْتِحْقَاقِهَا.

Qabla Istihqaqiha.

Before they are deserved.

يَا رَبَّاهْ يَا غِيَاثَاهْ.

Ya Rabbah, Ya Ghiyaathah.

O my Lord, O my Helper.

يَا سَيِّدَاهْ يَا مَوْلَاهْ.

Ya Sayyidah, Ya Mawlah.

O my Master, O my Protector.

يَا غَايَةَ رَغْبَتَاهْ.

Ya Ghayata Raghbatah.

O the ultimate goal of my desires.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَ يَا اللَّهُ.

As’aluka Bika Ya Allah.

I ask You by Yourself, O Allah.

أَلَّا تُشَوِّهَ خَلْقِي بِالنَّارِ.

Alla Tushawwih Khalqi bin-Nar.

That You do not disfigure my form with the Fire.

فَإِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ مِسْكِينٌ مَهِينٌ.

Fa-inni Dha‘eefun Miskeenun Maheen.

For I am weak, poor, and lowly.

وَ آتِنِي‌ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً.

Wa Aatini fid-Dunya Hasanah.

And grant me goodness in this world.

وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً.

Wa fil-Aakhirati Hasanah.

And goodness in the Hereafter.

وَ قِنا بِرَحْمَتِكَ‌ عَذَابَ النَّارِ.

Wa Qina bir-Rahmatika ‘Adhaaban-Nar.

And protect us, by Your mercy, from the punishment of the Fire.

يَا جَامِعَ‌ النَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ.

Ya Jami‘an-Naasi Li-Yawmin.

O Gatherer of mankind on a Day.

لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ‌ اجْمَعْ لِي.

La Rayba Feehi Ajma‘ Lee.

There is no doubt in it, gather for me.

خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ.

Khayra ad-Dunya wal-Aakhirah.

The best of this world and the Hereafter.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

Bir-Rahmatika Ya Arhamar-Raahimeen.

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ.

Wa La Hawla wa La Quwwata Illa Billah.

And there is no power nor might except with Allah.

الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ.

Al-‘Aliyyil-‘Adheem.

The Most High, the Most Great.

Then recite the following two verses Isar 17:111.twelve times,

قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمنَ.

Qul id‘oo Allaha awid‘oo ar-Rahman.

Say, “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful.”

أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْماءُ الْحُسْنى‌.

Ayyan ma Tad‘oo Falahu al-Asmaa’ul-Husna.

Whichever name you call Him by, to Him belong the best names.

وَ لَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاتِكَ.

Wa La Tajhar bi-Salaatika.

And do not recite your prayer too loudly.

وَ لَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا.

Wa La Tukhafit Biha.

And do not recite it too quietly.

وَ ابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذلِكَ سَبِيلًا.

Wabtaghi Bayna Thalika Sabeela.

But seek a way between them.

وَ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ.

Wa Qul Alhamdulillah.

And say, "All praise is for Allah."

الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً.

Alladhi Lam Yattakhidh Waladan.

Who has not taken a son.

وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ.

Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Shareekun fil-Mulk.

And has no partner in His dominion.

وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ.

Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Waliyyun mina-Dhulli.

And has no protector out of weakness.

وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً.

Wa Kabbirhu Takbeera.

And glorify Him with great glorification.

Then continue

اللَّهُمَّ هَبْنِي [هب لي‌] بِكَرَامَتِكَ.

Allahumma Habni [Hab Li] Bi-Karamatika.

O Allah, bestow upon me, by Your generosity.

وَ أَتِمَّ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ.

Wa Atimma ‘Alayya Ni‘mataka.

And perfect Your blessings upon me.

وَ أَلْبِسْنِي عَفْوَكَ وَ عَافِيَتَكَ.

Wa Albisni ‘Afwaka wa ‘Afiyataka.

And clothe me in Your pardon and well-being.

وَ أَمْنَكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ.

Wa Amnaka fid-Dunya wal-Aakhirah.

And Your safety in this world and the Hereafter.

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُسَلِّمْنِي بِجَرِيرَتِي.

Allahumma La Tusallimni Bi-Jareerati.

O Allah, do not hand me over because of my sins.

وَ لَا تُخْزِنِي بِخَطِيئَتِي.

Wa La Tukhzini Bi-Khatee’ati.

And do not disgrace me for my mistakes.

وَ لَا تُشْمِتْ بِي أَعْدَائِي.

Wa La Tushmit Bi A‘da’i.

And do not let my enemies gloat over me.

وَ لَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي.

Wa La Takilni Ila Nafsi.

And do not leave me to myself.

فِي دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي.

Fi Dunyaya wa Aakhirati.

In my worldly life and my Hereafter.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ.

Allahumma Inni ‘Abduka.

O Allah, I am Your servant.

وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ.

Wa Ibn ‘Abdika wa Ibn Amatika.

The son of Your male servant and the son of Your female servant.

وَ فِي قَبْضَتِكَ.

Wa Fi Qabdatika.

And I am in Your grasp.

نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ.

Naseeyati Bi-Yadika.

My forelock is in Your hand.

مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ.

Madhin Fiyya Hukmuka.

Your decree concerning me is carried out.

عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ.

‘Adlun Fiyya Qada’uka.

Your judgment concerning me is just.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ.

As’aluka Bi-Kulli Ismin Huwa Lak.

I ask You by every name that belongs to You.

سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ.

Samayta Bihi Nafsaka.

That You named Yourself with.

أَوْ سَمَّاكَ بِهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ.

Aw Sammaaka Bihi Ahadun min Khalqika.

Or that You taught to any of Your creation.

أَوْ مَلَائِكَتِكَ وَ رُسُلِكَ.

Aw Mala’ikatika wa Rusulika.

Or that You revealed to Your angels or messengers.

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَخْزُونِ الْمَرْفُوعِ.

Wa Bismika al-Makhzuni al-Marfoo‘.

And by Your hidden, exalted name.

فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ.

Fi ‘Ilmil-Ghaybi ‘Indaka.

In the knowledge of the unseen with You.

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْأَعْظَمِ الْأَعْظَمِ.

Wa Bismikal-A‘zam al-A‘zam.

And by Your greatest, most magnificent name.

الَّذِي هُوَ حَقٌّ عَلَيْكَ.

Alladhi Huwa Haqqun ‘Alaika.

Which You have a right to answer.

أَنْ تَسْتَجِيبَ لِمَنْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ.

An Tastaejeeba Liman Da‘aka Bihi.

That You respond to whoever calls upon You with it.

وَ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ.

Wa Bi-Kulli Harfin Anzaltahu.

And by every letter You have revealed.

عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ مُوسَى.

‘Ala Nabiyyika Musa.

To Your prophet Moses.

وَ بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ دَعَاكَ بِهَا أَحَدٌ.

Wa Bi-Kulli Da‘watin Da‘aka Biha Ahadun.

And by every supplication any of Your creation has called upon You with.

مِنْ خَلْقِكَ.

Min Khalqika.

From among Your creation.

وَ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ.

Wa Bi-Kulli Harfin Anzaltahu.

And by every letter You revealed.

عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ.

‘Ala Muhammadin Nabiyyika.

To Your prophet Muhammad.

أَنْ تَسْتَجِيبَ لِي.

An Tastaejeeba Li.

That You respond to me.

وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي فِي عِبَادِكَ.

Wa An Taj‘alani Fi ‘Ibadika.

And that You make me among Your servants.

وَ حِفْظِكَ وَ كَنَفِكَ.

Wa Hifdhika wa Kanafika.

Under Your protection and care.

وَ سَتْرِكَ وَ حِصْنِكَ.

Wa Satrika wa Hisnika.

And under Your covering and fortress.

وَ فِي فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ الْعَمِيمِ.

Wa Fi Fadhlika al-Wasi‘ al-‘Ameem.

And in Your vast and encompassing bounty.

إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ.

InnaKa Anta ar-Rahman ar-Raheem.

Truly, You are the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ.

Anta al-Hayy al-Ladhi La Yamoot.

You are the Ever-Living who does not die.

وَ أَنَا خَلْقٌ أَمُوتُ.

Wa Ana Khalqun Amoot.

And I am a creation who will die.

فَاغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي.

Faghfir Li wa Arhamni.

So forgive me and have mercy upon me.

وَ أَعْطِنِي سُؤْلِي.

Wa A‘tini Su’li.

And grant me my requests.

فِي دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي.

Fi Dunyaya wa Aakhirati.

In my worldly life and my Hereafter.

وَ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ لِجَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.

Wa Ghfir Li wa Li-Jamee‘il-Mu’mineen.

And forgive me and all the believers.

وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.

Wal-Mu’minat wal-Muslimeen.

The believing men and women.

وَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ الْأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ.

Wal-Muslimaat al-Ahya’ Minhum.

The living among them.

وَ الْأَمْوَاتِ.

Wal-Amwat.

And the deceased.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ.

Allahumma Salli ‘Ala Muhammad.

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad.

عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ.

‘Abdika wa Rasoolika.

Your servant and messenger.

وَ اجْعَلْ عَبْدَكَ وَ رَسُولَكَ.

Wa Ij‘al ‘Abdaka wa Rasoolaka.

And make Your servant and messenger.

أَكْرَمَ خَلْقِكَ عَلَيْكَ.

Akrama Khalqika ‘Alaika.

The most honored of Your creation to You.

وَ أَفْضَلَهُمْ لَدَيْكَ.

Wa Afdhalahum Ladayka.

And the most excellent of them before You.

وَ أَعْلَاهُمْ مَنْزِلَةً عِنْدَكَ.

Wa A‘lahum Manzilatan ‘Indaka.

And the highest in rank with You.

وَ أَشْرَفَهُمْ مَكَاناً.

Wa Ashrafahum Makana.

And the most noble in position.

وَ أَفْسَحَهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلًا.

Wa Afsahahum Fil-Jannati Manzila.

And grant him the most spacious dwelling in Paradise.

وَ آتِنا فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً.

Wa Atina Fi ad-Dunya Hasanah.

And grant us goodness in this world.

وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً.

Wa Fi al-Akhirati Hasanah.

And goodness in the Hereafter.

وَ قِنا [قني‌] بِرَحْمَتِكَ‌ عَذابَ النَّارِ

Wa Qina Bi-Rahmatika ‘Adhab an-Nar.

And save us, by Your mercy, from the torment of the Fire.

فَإِنَّهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ.

Fa-Innahu La Hawla wa La Quwwata.

For there is no power nor strength.

إِلَّا بِكَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ.

Illa Bika Ya Dhal-Jalali.

Except through You, O Possessor of Glory.

وَ الْإِكْرَامِ.

Wal-Ikram.

اللَّهُمَّ يَا اللَّهُ [أَنْتَ الْقَدِيمُ يَا اللَّهُ‌] أَنْتَ الدَّائِمُ الْقَائِمُ يَا اللَّهُ أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ يَا اللَّهُ أَنْتَ الْعَلِيُّ الْأَعْلَى يَا اللَّهُ أَنْتَ الْمُتَعَالِي فِي عُلُوِّكَ إِلَهُ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ صَانِعُ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ الْقَاضِي الْأَكْبَرُ الْقَدِيرُ الْمُقْتَدِرُ تَبَارَكَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ [وَ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ‌]

“O‟ my God! O God! You are The Perpetual! The Upright! O‟ God! Verily You are the Living, the Self-Subsisting! O‟ God! Verily You are Sublime, the Highest High! O‟ God! Verily You are Sublime in Your Sublimity. God of all things and Lord of all things. Creator of all things. The Judge! The Great Who Destines! The Affluent! Blessed be Your Names and Glorious and sublime is Your Praise.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ [عَلَى‌] آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَرِّفْنَا بَرَكَةَ شَهْرِنَا هَذَا وَ ارْزُقْنَا يُمْنَهُ وَ نُورَهُ وَ نَصْرَهُ وَ خَيْرَهُ وَ بِرَّهُ وَ سَهِّلْ لِي فِيهِ مَا أُحِبُّهُ وَ يَسِّرْ لِي فِيهِ مَا أُرِيدُهُ وَ أَوْصِلْنِي إِلَى بُغْيَتِي فِيهِ‌ إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (saw) and let us recognize the blessedness of this month. O‟ God! Please bless me with the its blessedness, light, help, goodness, and its good will. Please ease what I like and let me get what I wish. Let me attain what I want as indeed You have Power over all things.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ يَمْلِكُ حَوَائِجَ السَّائِلِينَ وَ يَعْلَمُ ضَمِيرَ الصَّامِتِينَ وَ يَا مَنْ لِكُلِّ مَسْأَلَةٍ عِنْدَهُ سَمْعٌ حَاضِرٌ وَ جَوَابٌ عَتِيدٌ وَ كُلِّ صَامَتٍ عِلْمٌ مِنْهُ [به‌] بَاطِنٌ مُحِيطٌ مَوَاعِيدُكَ الصَّادِقَةُ وَ أَيَادِيكَ النَّاطِقَةُ وَ نِعَمُكَ السَّابِغَةُ وَ أَيَادِيكَ الْفَاضِلَةُ وَ رَحْمَتُكَ الْوَاسِعَةُ

O‟ my God! O‟ He who possesses what the needy needs and is aware of what is in the minds of those who are silent. Every problem receives Your attention and is answered. He has an awareness of everyone who remains silent. Your Promises are true, Your Help is so direct, Your Blessings are abundant, Your Help is great, and your Mercy is All-Embracing.

إِلَهِي خَلَقْتَنِي وَ لَمْ أَكُ شَيْئاً مَذْكُوراً وَ أَنَا عَائِذُكَ [عائذ بك‌] وَ عَائِذٌ إِلَيْكَ وَ قَدْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَ أَنَا مُقِرٌّ لَكَ بِالْعُبُودِيَّةِ مُعْتَرِفٌ لَكَ بِالرُّبُوبِيَّةِ مُسْتَغْفِرٌ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي يَا مَنْ‌ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْ‌ءٌ وَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

O‟ my God! You created me while I was not noteworthy. I seek Your Protection and I take refuge in You. Verily I have oppressed myself. I am claiming Your Servitude and I am confessing to Your Lordship. I am seeking forgiveness for my sins. I ask You to forgive me as there is none like You. He is All-hearing, All-seeing.

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ
يَا مَنْ أَظْهَرَ الْجَمِيلَ وَ سَتَرَ الْقَبِيحَ وَ [يَا مَنْ‌] لَمْ يُؤَاخِذْ بِالْجَرِيرَةِ وَ لَمْ يَهْتِكِ السِّتْرَ يَا عَظِيمَ الْعَفْوِ يَا حَسَنَ‌التَّجَاوُزِ يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَ الْمَشِيَّةِ وَ الْقُدْرَةِ وَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَ النُّورِ

O‟ Lord of Majesty, Bounty and Honor! O‟ Giver! O‟ Bestower! O‟ He who reveals the beauties and hides the ugliness! O‟ He who is does not take revenge for misdeeds and does not divulge secrets! O‟ the All-mighty! Please Forgive me.
O‟ He who overlooks faults! O‟ Vast Forgiver! O‟ He who extends His hands with mercy and Will, Power, Darkness and Light!

يَا صَاحِبَ كُلِّ نَجْوَى وَ مُنْتَهَى كُلِّ شَكْوَى وَ وَلِيَّ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ وَ نِعْمَةٍ
يَا كَرِيمَ الصَّفْحِ يَا عَظِيمَ الْمَنِّ يَا مُبْتَدِئَ النِّعَمِ [يا مبتدئا بالنعم‌] قَبْلَ اسْتِحْقَاقِهَا يَا
رَبَّاهْ يَا غِيَاثَاهْ يَا سَيِّدَاهْ يَا مَوْلَاهْ يَا غَايَةَ رَغْبَتَاهْ

O‟ He who knows all that is whispered! O‟ He who settles all complaints! O‟ Guardian of all good and blessings! O‟ the All-Generous! O‟ Greatest giver of all good! O‟ He who gives bounties before one deserves them. O‟ Nourisher! O‟ He who helps! O‟ my Master! O‟ my Guardian! O‟ the Ultimate of ambitions!

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَ يَا اللَّهُ أَلَّا تُشَوِّهَ خَلْقِي بِالنَّارِ فَإِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ مِسْكِينٌ مَهِينٌ وَ آتِنِي‌ فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنا بِرَحْمَتِكَ‌ عَذابَ النَّارِ

O‟ God! I ask You not to burn my face in the Fire! I am weak, poor and humiliated. Please grant me the good of this world, and the good of the Hereafter, and save me from the torment of the burning Fire by Your Mercy.

يَا جَامِعَ‌ النَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ لا رَيْبَ فِيهِ‌ اجْمَعْ لِي خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

O‟ He who gathers the people together on the Day in which there is no doubt. Please grant me the best of this world and the Hereafter by Your Mercy – O‟ Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. There is no change nor any strength except by God the Sublime, the Supreme.”

Then recite the following two verses Isar 17:111.twelve times,

قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمنَ أَيًّا ما تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْماءُ الْحُسْنى‌ وَ لا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاتِكَ وَ لا تُخافِتْ بِها وَ ابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذلِكَ سَبِيلًا
وَ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً

“Say: “Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither speak Your Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between.” “Praise be to God who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!”

Then go on and say the following,

اللَّهُمَّ هَبْنِي [هب لي‌] بِكَرَامَتِكَ وَ أَتِمَّ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ وَ أَلْبِسْنِي عَفْوَكَ وَ عَافِيَتَكَ وَ أَمْنَكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ

“O‟ my God! Please give to me by Your Kindness, and perfect Your Blessings for me. Please bless me with Your Forgiveness, Health and Security in this world and the Hereafter!

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُسَلِّمْنِي بِجَرِيرَتِي وَ لَا تُخْزِنِي بِخَطِيئَتِي وَ لَا تُشْمِتْ بِي أَعْدَائِي وَ لَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي فِي دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي

O‟ my God! Please do not abandon me due to my crimes, do not make me ashamed of my slippages, do not subject me to my enemy‟s ridicule, and do not leave me to myself in my worldly and afterlife affairs.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ وَ فِي قَبْضَتِكَ نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ

O‟ my God! I am Your worshipping servant! I am the son of Your worshipping servant! I am the son of Your female worshipper! I am under Your Control! You have control over me. Your Decree is effective on me and Your Destination for me is just.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ أَوْ سَمَّاكَ بِهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ أَوْ مَلَائِكَتِكَ وَ رُسُلِكَ
وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَخْزُونِ الْمَرْفُوعِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْأَعْظَمِ الْأَعْظَمِ
الَّذِي هُوَ حَقٌّ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تَسْتَجِيبَ لِمَنْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ وَ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ مُوسَى وَ بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ دَعَاكَ بِهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ
أَنْ تَسْتَجِيبَ لِي وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي فِي عِبَادِكَ وَ حِفْظِكَ وَ كَنَفِكَ وَ سَتْرِكَ وَ حِصْنِكَ وَ فِي فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ الْعَمِيمِ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ

I ask You by all Names that are Yours by which You call Yourself, or any of Your Creatures call You, or Your angels or messengers call You.
O‟ my God! I ask You by Your safely treasured Name elevated in the Hidden Knowledge near You.
I ask You by Your Grand Name – the Grand Name which You fulfill the supplications of anyone who calls You using it.
I ask You by all words which You revealed to Your Prophet Moses (saw), and by all supplications with which any of Your creatures have called You, and by all words which You revealed to Your Prophet Muhammad (saw).
Please respond to my prayers. Please take me under Your Protection and Custody and by Your Side, under Your Cover, Your Protection and Your Nobility.

أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَ أَنَا خَلْقٌ أَمُوتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ أَعْطِنِي سُؤْلِي فِي دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي
وَ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ لِجَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ الْأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَ الْأَمْوَاتِ

You are the Everlasting and shall not perish, while I am going to die. Then please forgive me and have Mercy on me. Please grant my requests in this world and the Hereafter.
Please forgive the believing men and women, the Muslim men and women whether dead or alive.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ اجْعَلْ عَبْدَكَ وَ رَسُولَكَ أَكْرَمَ خَلْقِكَ عَلَيْكَ وَ أَفْضَلَهُمْ لَدَيْكَ وَ أَعْلَاهُمْ مَنْزِلَةً عِنْدَكَ وَ أَشْرَفَهُمْ مَكَاناً وَ أَفْسَحَهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلًا وَ آتِنا [آتني‌] فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنا [قني‌] بِرَحْمَتِكَ‌ عَذابَ النَّارِ
فَإِنَّهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِكَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ.

O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (saw). Please let Your Servant and Your Prophet (saw) be the best of the creatures near You – being the noblest near You.
Please have them have the highest rank near You and the most honorable position. Please grant them the most expansive abode in Paradise. And please grant me the good of this world, and the good of the Hereafter, and save me from the torment of the burning Fire by Your Mercy. There is no change nor any strength exept by You O‟ Lord of Majesty, Bounty and Honor!
