5.Recite the following Qur'anic texts:

(1) Surah al-Hamd (i.e. al-Faatehah No. 1),
(2) Ayah al-Kursi (2:255-257),
Allah—there is no god except Him—is the Living One, the All-sustainer. Neither drowsiness befalls Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that may intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of His knowledge except what He wishes. His seat embraces the heavens and the earth and He is not wearied by their preservation, and He is the All-exalted, the All-supreme.Holy Quran 2:255

There is no compulsion in religion: rectitude has become distinct from error. So one who disavows fake deities and has faith in Allah has held fast to the firmest handle for which there is no breaking; and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing.Holy Quran 2:256

Allah is the wali of the faithful: He brings them out of darkness into light. As for the faithless, their awliya are the fake deities, who drive them out of light into darkness. They shall be the inmates of the Fire, and they will remain in it [forever]Holy Quran 2:257.

(3) Verses of Bearing Witness (Ayat al-Shahadah; 3:18-19),
Allah, maintainer of justice, the Almighty and the All-wise, besides whom there is no god, bears witness that there is no god except Him, and [so do] the angels and those who possess knowledge.Holy Quran 3:18

Indeed, with Allah religion is Islam, and those who were given the Book did not differ except after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves. And whoever denies Allah’s signs [should know that] Allah is swift at reckoning.Holy Quran 3:19

(4) Verses of Kingdom (Ayah al-Mulk; 3:26-27),

(5) Verses of Subservience (Ayah al-Sakharah 7:54-56).

6.Then, repeat the following verses (Surah al-Saffat 37:180-183) three times:

7.Then, repeat the following prayer three times:
as taught by Archangel Gabriel to Prophet Yusuf (Joseph)—peace be upon him—when he was in prison.
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah, (Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

cause all my affairs to arrive at a relief, prepare for me a way out,

and give me sustenance from whence I think and from whence I do not think.

8.Then, hold your beard with your right hand, raise your left hand towards the sky, and repeat the following prayer seven times:

to cause me leave this world free (from liabilities),

wa tudkhilani aljannata aminan
to allow me to Paradise with security,

wa an taj`ala du`a'i awwalahu falahan
and to make the beginning of my prayer successful,

wa awsatahu najahan
the middle of it a gain,

wa akhirahu salahan
and the end of it a prosperity.

innaka anta `allamu alghuyubi
Verily, You are the Knower of all unseen things.

10.According to al-Sahifah al-`Alawiyyah (a collection of Imam `Ali’s supplications), the following prayer is said after the obligatory prayers:
ya man la yashghaluhu sam`un `an sam`in
O He Who is not distracted by a sound from hearing another sound!

wa ya man la yughallituhu alssa'iluna
O He Who is not confused by the beseechers!

wa ya man la yubrimuhu ilhahu almulihhina
O He Who is not annoyed by the insistence of those who entreat Him persistently!

adhiqni barda `afwika
(Please do) Make me taste the nice flavor of Your pardon

wa halawata rahmatika wa maghfiratika
and the sweetness of Your mercy and forgiveness.

11.Recite "ilahi hadhihi salati sallaytuha:"
ilahi hadhihi salati sallaytuha
O Allah, This is my prayer that I have just offered

la lihajatin minka ilayha
on account of neither a need that You may have for it

wa la raghbatin minka fiha
nor a desire that You may have for it;

illa ta`ziman wa ta`atan
rather, it is only glorification of You, obedience to You,

wa ijabatan laka ila ma amartani bihi
and response to You to carry out what You have ordered me to do.

ilahi in kana fiha khalalun aw naqsun
O my God: If there is a defect or a deficiency in my prayer,

min ruku`iha aw sujudiha
whether in the genuflection or the prostration;

fala tu´akhidhni
then, (please) do not reproach me for it;

wa tafaddal `alayya bilqabuli wal-ghufrani
rather, confer upon me with Your acceptance (of it) and forgiveness (of me).

12.Prayer Holy Prophet taught to Imam `Ali Amir al-Mu'minin (peace and blessings be upon them) for developing memory:
subhana man la ya`tadi `ala ahli mamlakatihi
Glory be to Him Who does not treat the people of His realm with transgression!

Glory be to Him Who does not inflict on the inhabitants of the earth various sorts of torture!

subhana alrra'ufi alrrahimi
Glory be to the Affectionate, the Merciful!

O Allah, (please) fill my heart with illumination, discernment,

wa fahman wa `ilman
(faculty of) understanding, and knowledge.

innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun
Verily, You have power over all things.

13.Al-Kaf`ami, in his book of al-Misbah, says to repeat the following prayer three times after obligatory prayers:
u`idhu nafsi wa dini
I seek for myself, my religion,

wa ahli wa mali
my family members, my possessions,

wa waladi wa ikhwani fi dini
my descendants, my brethren-in-faith,

wa ma razaqani rabbi wa khawatima `amali
all sustenance that my Lord has provided to me as sustenance, the results of my deeds,

wa man ya`nini amruhu
and whomever I may concern about,

billahi alwahidi
(I seek for all these) the protection of Allah, the Single,

al-ahadi alssamadi
the One, and the eternally Besought of all

alladhi lam yalid wa lam yulad
Who begets not, nor is He begotten;

wa lam yakun lahu kufwan ahadun
and the like of Whom there is none.

wa birabbi alfalaqi
And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of the dawn

min sharri ma khalaqa
from the evil of what He has created,

wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqaba
the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes,

wa min sharri alnnaffathati fi al`uqadi
the evil of those who blow on knots,

wa min sharri hasidin idha hasada
and the evil of the envious when he envies.

wa birabbi alnnasi
And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of men,

maliki alnnasi
the King of men,

ilahi alnnasi
the God of men,

min sharri alwaswasi alkhannasi
from the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Satan),

alladhi yuwaswisu fi suduri alnnasi
who whispers into the hearts of men

mina aljinnati walnnasi
from among the jinn and the men.

14.It is narrated in an inscription handwritten by Shaykh al-Shahid
that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever desires that Almighty Allah will not show him his evildoings (that he did in this world) on the Resurrection Day and will not open the record of his evildoings, should say the following prayer after each obligatory prayer:
allahumma inna maghfirataka arja min `amali
O Allah, Truly, I hope for Your forgiveness more than I trust my deed.

wa inna rahmataka awsa`u min dhanbi
Your mercy is verily more expansive than my sin.

allahumma in kana dhanbi `indaka `aziman
O Allah, If my sin is grave in Your view,

fa`afwuka a`zamu min dhanbi
then Your pardon is greater than my sin.

allahumma in lam akun ahlan an ablugha rahmataka
O Allah, If I do not deserve to attain Your mercy,

farahmatuka ahlun an tablughani wa tasa`ani
then Your mercy is so liberal that it can reach and include me,

li-annaha wasi`at kulla shay'in
because it has included all things;

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina
[Let it be] by Your mercy; O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

14 - In seeking the good of this world and the hereafter after prayer On the authority of Ali bin Mahziyar, he said: Muhammad bin Ibrahim wrote to Abu al-Hasan( Imam Naqi(as), peace be upon him: I saw, O my master, that you teach me a supplication that I can supplicate with after my prayers, with which God will gather for me the good of this world and the hereafter. So he, peace be upon him, wrote: Say:
Aʿūdhu bi-wajhika al-karīm wa ʿizzatika allatī lā turām

(8) Supplication in Prostration at the Time of Distress
Imam Reza (a.s.) has narrated this supplication:
“While feeling weakness or involved in any trouble and tired of misfortunes then go into prostration and put first your right cheek and then left cheek on the earth and every time recite:
yaa mozilla kulle jabbaarin a’needin yaa o-i’zza kulle zaleelin qad wa haqqeqa balagha majhoodee fa-salle a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wa farrij a’nnee.
O Humiliator of all tyrants! O Dignifier of all humble ones! I, swearing by You, have exerted all efforts; so, send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and relieve me.

Chapter 9 Supplications to be Recited Everyday
(1) Important Supplication for ‘Discharging the Rights of Allah’
Sayed Ibn Taaoos (r.a.) has narrated on the authority of Imam Reza (a.s.) who on the authority of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said:
“Whoever wants that the weight of his deeds should exceed the prescribed weight on the scale (میزان) then in order to thank the bounties of the Almighty Allah recite this supplication:
subhaanal laahe kamaa yanbaghee lillaahe wal hamdo lillaahe kamaa yanbaghee lillaahe wa laa elaaha illal laaho kamaa yanbaghee lillaahe wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahe wa sallal laaho a’laa mohammadin nabiyye wa ahle baytehin nabiyyil a’rabiyyil haashemiyye wa sallal laaho a’laa jamee-i’l mursaleena wan nabiyyeena hattaa yarzal laah.
Glory be to Allah as it should be due for Allah and praise be to Allah as it should be due for Allah and there is no god but Allah as it should be due for Allah and there are no means and no power without Allah and salutation of Allah upon Muhammad, the Prophet and the progeny of Prophet, the Arab, the Hashmite and salutation of Allah upon all the messengers and the prophets till Allah is satisfied.

In "Tuhfatu Ridawiyah" he said: Allamah Taqi, Sayyid Mirza Hasan bn Sayyid Mirza Ali Agha Shirazi told me of the following supplication, he mentioned that it was from the proof (may Allah hasten his relief) and some pious scholars has also narrated it. He said: you recite it after every day compulsory prayers and at any other time, it suffices you in your important requests and makes you reach your goal.
O' He when the affairs has become difficult He opens ways we didn't imagine, so send Your blessing on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, open ways out of my difficulties that I didn't imagine, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful.
At Tuh’fatur Razawiyyah: 114

22.Supplications after Every Obligatory Prayers 82 Rabeeul Anaam Fi Adeea-e-Khairil Anaam
The author of Mikyaal al-Makaarim writes, “There are times and occasions in which supplications for the hidden Imam, Hazrat Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) have been emphasized, asking Allah for his early reappearance, and these have been supported by Quranic verses, traditions and the intellect. There are numerous invocations, narrated on the authority of the infallible Imams (a.s.) in this regard. A few of them we shall mention hereunder:
i)Supplications after Every Obligatory Prayer
Shaykh Saduq (a.r.), in “ مَنْ لَ يَحْضُرُهُ الْفَقِيهْ ” narrates from the ninth Imam, Muhammad al-Jawad (a.s.), the following supplication:

Wa bil-Qurʾāni kitāban, wa bi-Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam nabiyyan
And the Qur'an as my book, and Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, as my Prophet,

Wa bi-ʿAliyyin waliyyan
And Ali as my guardian,

Wa bil-Ḥasan wa al-Ḥusayn, wa ʿalā ibn al-Ḥusayn
And Hasan and Husayn, and Ali, the son of Husayn,

Wa Muḥammad ibn ʿAliyy, wa Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad
And Muhammad, son of Ali, and Ja'far, son of Muhammad,

Wa Mūsā ibn Jaʿfar, wa ʿAliyy ibn Mūsā
And Musa, son of Ja'far, and Ali, son of Musa,

Wa al-Ḥujjah ibn al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAliyy ʿalayhimu al-salām aʾimmah
And the Proof (Imam al-Mahdi), son of Hasan, son of Ali, peace be upon them, as leaders.

Allāhumma waliyyaka al-Ḥujjah
O Allah, guard Your Proof (Imam al-Mahdi),

Fa-iḥfaẓhu min bayni yadayhi wa min khalfihi
Protect him from in front of him and from behind him,

Wa ʿan yamīnihi wa ʿan shimālihi, wa min fawqihi wa min taḥtihi
And from his right and from his left, and from above and below him,

Wa-mdud lahu fī ʿumurihi
And extend his life,

Wa-jʿalhu al-qāʾim bi-amrika, al-muntaṣira li-dīnika
And make him the one who rises by Your command, the supporter of Your religion,

Wa arihi mā yuḥibbu wa taqarru bihi ʿaynu fī nafsihi wa fī dhurriyyatihi
And let him see what he loves and what delights his eyes in himself and his descendants,

Wa fī ahlihi wa mālihi, wa fī shīʿatihi wa fī ʿaduwwihi
And in his family and wealth, and in his followers and his enemies,

Wa arihim minhu mā yaḥdharūn
And let them (his enemies) see from him what they fear,

Wa arihi fīhim mā yuḥibbu wa taqarru bihi ʿaynu
And let him see in them what he loves and what delights his eyes,

Wa ashfi bihi ṣudūranā wa ṣudūra qawmin muʾminīn
And heal through him our hearts and the hearts of a believing people.

ii)Invocation for the renewal of allegiance for Imam-e-zamaan (a.t.f.s.) after every obligatory daily prayers: Allama Majlisi in Behaar al-Anwaar, narrates from the book, “Al- Ikhteyaar” of Sayyed Ibn Baaqi, that Imam Sadeq (a.s.) said, “One who recites this supplication after every obligatory daily prayers, then he will certainly get the privilege of seeing Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.), in sleep or otherwise.
BismillāhirRaḥmānirRaḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Allāhumma balligh mawlānā ṢāḥibazZamān
O Allah, convey our salutations to our Master, the Lord of Time,

Aynamā kāna wa ḥaythumā kān
wherever he may be, in any place he may reside,

Min mashāriqilarḍi wa maghāribihā, sahlihā wa jabalihā
from the east to the west, in its plains and mountains,

ʿAnni wa ʿan wālidayya wa ʿan waladiyya wa ikhwānī attaḥiyyata wassalām
on my behalf, on behalf of my parents, children, and siblings, peace and blessings.

ʿAdada khalqillāhi wa zinata ʿarshillāh
Equal to the number of His creations and the weight of His throne,

Wa mā aḥṣāhu kitābuhu wa aḥāṭa bihi ʿilmuh
and to all that His book records and His knowledge encompasses.

Allāhumma innī ujadid lahu fī ṣabīḥati hādhā alyawm
O Allah, I renew for him today,

Wa mā ʿishtu fīhi min ayyāmi ḥayātī
and in every day of my life,

ʿAhdan wa ʿaqdan wa bayʿatan lahu fī ʿunuqī
a covenant, a contract, and a pledge upon my neck,

Lā aḥūlu ʿanhā wa lā azūlu abadan
which I shall never turn away from or break.

Allāhumma ajʿalnī min anṣārihi wa adhdhābbīn ʿanh
O Allah, make me among his supporters and those who defend him,

Walmumtathilīna liawāmirihi wa nawāhīhi fī ayyāmih
and those who obey his commands and prohibitions during his time.

Walmustashhidīna bayna yadayh
and those who achieve martyrdom in his presence.

Allāhumma in ḥāla baynī wa baynahulmawt
O Allah, if death separates me from him,

Alladhī jaʿaltahu ʿalā ʿibādika ḥatman maqdīyā
the death You decreed upon Your servants inevitably,

Faakhrijnī min qabrī, muʾtaziran kafanī, shāhiran sayfī
then resurrect me from my grave, girded in my shroud, wielding my sword,

Mujarradan qanātī, mulabbiyan daʿwata addāʿī fī alḥāḍir wa albādī
ready with my lance, answering the call of the caller, in every place.

Allāhumma arinī aṭṭalʿata arrasheeda walghurrata alḥameeda
O Allah, let me behold his noble visage and praiseworthy forehead,

Wa akḥul baṣarī binadhra minī ilayh
and brighten my sight with a glance toward him,

Wa ʿajjil farajah wa sahhil makhrajah
hasten his reappearance and make his emergence smooth.

Allāhumma ashddud azrahu wa qawwī ẓahrahū wa ṭawwil ʿumrah
O Allah, strengthen his resolve, fortify his back, and prolong his life,

Wa ʿamrillāhumma bihi bilādaka wa aḥyi bihi ʿibādaka
and through him, revive Your lands and enliven Your servants,

Fainnaka qulta wa qawluka alḥaqq: "Ẓahara alfasādu fī albarr walbaḥr bimā kasabat aydī annās"
for You have said, and Your word is true: "Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of people have earned."

Faaẓhirillāhumma lanā waliyyaka wa ibn binti nabiyyik
So reveal to us, O Allah, Your Guardian, the son of Your Prophet’s daughter,

Almusammā biismi rasūlik ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa ālih
who bears the name of Your Messenger, peace be upon him and his family,

Ḥattā lā yaẓfara bishayʾin mina albāṭili illā mazzaqah
so that he does not encounter any falsehood without tearing it apart,

Wa yuḥiqqalḥaqqa bikalimātihi wa yuḥaqqiqah
and establish the truth by his words, and fulfill it.

Allāhumma akshif hādhihi alghummata ʿan hādhihi alummah biẓuhūrihi
O Allah, remove this distress from this nation with his appearance,

Innahum yarawnahu baʿīdā wa narāhu qarībā
for they see it as distant, but we see it as near.

Wa ṣallallāhu ʿalā Muḥammad wa ālih
And may Allah send His blessings upon Muhammad and his family.

iii)Supplication Enhances Longevity
Among the deeds that are stressed upon, is to pray for the early reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) after every obligatory prayer. The author of Mikyaal al-Makaarim has supported this idea with the help of the following tradition which says, “Whoever recites the following invocation after every obligatory prayer, his life will be prolonged till he sees Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.).”
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

Allāhumma inna rasūlaka aṣṣādiqalmuṣaddaq ṣalawātuka ʿalayhi wa ālih
O Allah, indeed, Your truthful and trustworthy Messenger, Your blessings upon him and his family,

Qāla innaka qulta: "Mā taraddadtu fī shayʾin anā fāʿiluh
said that You have declared: "I have not hesitated in anything I do,

Kataraddudī fī qabḍi rūḥi ʿabdiya almuʾmin
as much as I hesitate to take the soul of My believing servant,

Yakrahu almawta wa anā akrahu masāʾatah
who dislikes death, while I dislike causing him sorrow."

Allāhumma faṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
O Allah, so send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

Wa ʿajjil liwaliyyika alfaraja wa annaṣra wa alʿāfiyah
and hasten relief, victory, and wellbeing for Your guardian,

Wa lā takilnī ilā nafsī wa lā ilā aḥadin siwāk
and do not leave me to myself or to anyone besides You.

He (peace be upon him) said: "And you may mention whomever you wish." 1 Mikyaal al-Makaarim, vol. 2, p. 4; Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 86, p. 61 narrating from Ikhteyaar of Ibn al-Baaqee.
iv ) Another Invocation for Longevity
Allama Majlisi, in Kitab al-Salaat of Behaar al-Anwaar, narrates from “Falaah al-Saael” of the renowned scholar, Sayed Ibn Tawoos, who writes, “Abu Muhammad Haroon Ibn Musa relates from Abu al-Hasan Ali Ibn Yaqub al-Ajali al-Kesaai, from Ali Ibn al-Hasan Ibn Fazaalah, from Ja’far Ibn Muhammad Ibn Hakeem, from Jameel Ibn Darraaj, who recounts, “ A man came to the presence of Imam Sadeq (a.s.) and said, “O Master! I have become old and my relatives have died. I am afraid that I too may become a victim of the clutches of death while I don’t have anybody with whom I am acquainted and can refer to him.” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Surely among your believing brothers, there is somebody who is very close to you in relation. Your closeness with him is to the extent of intimacy. Yet, it is necessary that after every prayer, you recite the following supplication:
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

Allāhumma inna aṣ-Ṣādiqa ʿalayhi as-salām qāla: innaka qulta
O Allah, indeed, al-Ṣādiq (peace be upon him) said that You have declared:

Mā taraddadtu fī shayʾin anā fāʿiluh
"I have not hesitated in anything I do,

Kataraddudī fī qabḍi rūḥi ʿabdī al-muʾmin
as much as I hesitate to take the soul of My believing servant,

Yakrahu al-mawta wa akrahu masāʾatah
who dislikes death, while I dislike causing him sorrow."

Allāhumma faṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
O Allah, so send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

Wa ʿajjil liwaliyyika al-faraja wa al-ʿāfiyata wa an-naṣr
and hasten the relief, well-being, and victory for Your guardian,

Wa lā tasuʾnī fī nafsī wa lā fī aḥadin min aḥibbatī
and do not afflict me in myself or in any of my loved ones.

If you want name them one by one, if you wish, name them separately or if you so desire, name them together.” The man said, “By Allah! I lived my life to the fullest.”

v) Supplication of Revenge ( (النتقام
Imam Sadeq (a.s.) says, “Among our rights on our Shias is that they hold their beards and say after every obligatory prayer thrice,
Yā Rabba Muḥammad, ʿajjil farajaka āli Muḥammad
O Lord of Muhammad, hasten Your relief for the family of Muhammad,

Yā Rabba Muḥammad, iḥfaẓ ghaybata Muḥammad
O Lord of Muhammad, protect the concealment of Muhammad,

Yā Rabba Muḥammad, intaqim libnata Muḥammad
O Lord of Muhammad, take vengeance for the daughter of Muhammad,

Ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam
May Allah's blessings and peace be upon him and his family.

vi)Supplications During and After Prayers 87

Wa biḥaqqihi alladhī awjabta lahu ʿalā nafsik
and by his right, which You have made binding upon Yourself,

Wa an tamunna ʿalayya as-sāʿata bifikāki raqabati mina an-nār
and to bestow upon me at this moment the freeing of my neck from the Fire,

Wa anjiz liwaliyyika wa ibni nabiyyik
and to fulfill for Your guardian and the son of Your Prophet,

Ad-dāʿī ilayka biʾidhnik wa amīnaka fī khalqik
the one who calls to You by Your permission, Your trustee among Your creation,

Wa ʿaynika fī ʿibādik wa ḥujjatika ʿalā khalqik
Your eye upon Your servants and Your proof over Your creation,

ʿAlayhi ṣalawātuka wa barakātuka waʿdah
Your blessings and grace be upon him, as You have promised.

Allāhumma ayyidhu binaṣrik
O Allah, support him with Your help,

Wa anṣur ʿabdaka wa qawwi aṣḥābahu wa ṣabbirhum
and grant victory to Your servant, strengthen his companions, and grant them patience.

Wa iftaḥ lahum min ladunka sulṭānan naṣīra
Grant them from Your presence a helping authority,

Wa ʿajjil farajahu wa amkinhu min aʿdāʾik
and hasten his relief and give him power over Your enemies,

Wa aʿdāʾi rasūlik ya arḥama ar-rāḥimīn
and the enemies of Your Messenger, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

The narrator asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, have you not prayed for yourself?’ He (a.s.) replied, ‘I have prayed for the light of Ale Muhammad (a.s.), the first of them, and the avenger of their enemies by the command of Allah…”

vii)Supplications During and After Prayers 89
I asked, “Whom are you praying for?’ He (a.s.) replied,“It was for al-Mahdi from the progeny of Muhammad.”
Then he (a.s.) said,
Bil-muntadaḥ al-baṭn, al-maqrūn al-ḥājibayn
With a flat belly and joined eyebrows,

Aḥmash as-sāqayn, baʿīd mā bayna al-mankibayn
Lean in the legs, with broad shoulders,

My father be sacrificed for one who watches the stars in prostration and bowing.

Bi-abī man lā yaʾkhudhuhu fī Allāh lawmat lāʾim, miṣbāḥ ad-dujā
My father be sacrificed for one unshaken by the blame of critics in God’s way, the lamp of darkness.

Bi-abī al-qāʾimi bi-amri Allāh
My father be sacrificed for the one who upholds God’s command.

102. His supplication after the five daily prayers. Recite Surah Tauheed twelve times then spread your hands and recite the following Dua:
Allāhumma innī as'aluka bi-ismika al-maknūn al-makhzūn, al-ṭahri al-ṭāhir al-mubārak
O Allah, I ask You by Your hidden, sacred, pure, and blessed Name.

Wa as'aluka bi-ismika al-ʿaẓīm wa sulṭānik al-ʿazīz al-qadīm
And I ask You by Your Great Name and Your Mighty, Eternal Power.

Yā wāhib al-ʿaṭāyā, yā muṭliq al-usārā, yā fakkāk al-riqāb min al-nār
O Giver of gifts, O Liberator of the captives, O One who frees the necks from the Fire.

As'aluka an tuṣallī ʿalā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad, wa an tuʿtiq raqabatī min al-nār
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and to free my neck from the Fire.

Wa an tukhrijanī min al-dunyā āminan, wa tudkhilanī al-jannata sāliman
And to take me out of this world in peace, and to enter me into Paradise safely.

Wa an tajʿal duʿā'ī awwalahu falāḥan wa awsaṭahu najāḥan wa ākhirahū ṣalāḥan
And to make my prayer its beginning successful, its middle prosperous, and its end righteous.

Inna ka anta ʿallām al-ghuyūb
Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.

103. His supplication after every obligatory prayer
Yaa Man Laa Yashghalohu Sam-U’n A’n Sam-I’n, Yaa Man Laa Yoghalletohus Saa-Eloona, Wa Yaa Man Laa Yubremohu Ilhaahul Molehheena, Aziqnee Barda A’fweka, Wa Maghferateka Wa Halaawata Rahmateka.
O He Who is not distracted by a sound from hearing another sound! O He Who is not confused by the beseechers! O He Who is not annoyed by the insistence of those who entreat Him persistently! Make me taste the nice flavor of Your pardon and forgivenessand the sweetness of Your mercy.

105. His supplication after every prayer for protection and safety
Subhaana Man Laa Ya’tadee A’laa Ahle Mamlakatehi, Subhaana Man Laa Yaakhozo Ahlal Arze Be-Alwaanil A’zaabe, Subhaanar Ra-Oofir Raheeme, Allaahummaj A’l Lee Fee Qalbee Nooran Wa Basaran Wa Fahman Wa I’lman, Innaka A’laa Kulle Shay-In Qadeer.
Glory be to Him Who does not treat the people of His realm with transgression! Glory be to Him Who does not inflict on the inhabitants of the earth various sorts of torture! Glory be to the Affectionate, the Merciful! O Allah! Fill my heart with illumination, discernment, (faculty of) understanding, and knowledge. Verily, You have power over all things.

17.According to a Word of Sacredness, Almighty Allah is reported to have said to the Holy Prophet (s): O Muhammad, convey these words to those who intend to seek nearness to Me: Be it known to you surely that the following words are the best of what can be used as means of seeking nearness to Me after the obligatory prayers:
allahumma innahu lam yumsi ahadun min khalqika
O Allah! Indeed, none of Your creatures

anta ilayhi ahsanu sani`an
You have granted more favors,

wa la lahu adwamu karamatan
longer honors,

wa la `alayhi abyanu fadlan
more manifest graces,

wa la bihi ashaddu taraffuqan
more lenient acts,

wa la `alayhi ashaddu hiyatatan
stronger protection,

wa la `alayhi ashaddu ta`attufan
and more compassionate treatment

minka `alayya
than I am,

wa in kana jami`u almakhluqina
although all of Your creatures

yu`addiduna min dhalika mithla ta`didi
can count the same as what I have counted.

fashhad ya kafiya alshshahadati
So, (please) bear witness, O He Whose witness is sufficient to me

bi-anni ushhiduka biniyyati sidqin
that I ask You to bear witness to me with honest intention

bi-anna laka alfadla walttawla
that Yours are all favors and all bounties

fi in`amika `alayya
that have been done to me

ma`a qillati shukri laka fiha
although I have shown You very little gratitude for all that.

ya fa`ila kulli iradatin
O Doer of all wills,

salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi
(please) bless Muhammad and his Household,

wa tawwiqni amanan min hululi alssakhati liqillati alshshukri
surround me with security against the befalling of Your wrath on account of my little gratitude,

wa awjib li ziyadatan min itmami alnni`mati bisa`ati almaghfirati
decide for me more complete graces through expansive forgiveness of You,

amtirni khayraka
and pour down upon me Your good turns.

fasalli `ala muhammadin wa alihi
So, (please) bless Muhammad and his Household

wa la tuqayisni bisu'i sarirati
and do not treat me according to the amount of my ill intention;

wamtahin qalbi liridaka
rather, (please) test my heart in order to win Your pleasure

waj`al ma taqarrabtu bihi ilayka
and make pure that through which I have sought nearness to You

fi dinika laka khalisan
with regard to the affairs of Your religion,

wa la taj`alhu liluzumi shubhatin aw fakhrin aw riya'in
and do not make it to be accompanied by any suspicion, pride, or ostentation.

ya karimu
O All-generous!

This supplicatory prayer is one of the thirty-one secret supplications of sacredness (i.e. supplications that are reported from Almighty Allah directly) that are said for winning this-worldly and the otherworldly requests.
Our master scholars have quoted these supplicatory prayers through connected chains of authority, and some of them are quoted in Shaykh al-Tusi’s Misbah al-Mutahajjid and al-Kaf`ami’s al-Misbah. To see all these thirty-one supplications, it is advisable to refer to al-Balad al-Amin, the Book of Supplications in Bihar al-Anwar, and al-Jawahir al-Saniyyah.
Twelfth: Al-Barqi, through an authenticated narration, reported Imam al-Sadiq (a. s. ) as saying, “Whoever repeats ten times the following statement after accomplishing his prayer and before moving his knees from their position, Almighty Allah will erase many of his sins, record for him rewards, and he will be regarded as having recited the Holy Qur’an entirely twelve times.
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, One and Only and having no associate with Him (in Godhead); He is the One God,the Unique, the Besought of all, and He has taken to Himself neither a wife nor a son.
Very much more merits have been reported for uttering this statement of professing Almighty Allah being the One and Only God (i. e. Tahlil) , especially after the Dawn and Evening Prayers and at sunrise and sunset.
Thirteenth: Al-Kulayni, Ibn Baabwayh, and others have reported through authentic chains of authority that Imam al-Sadiq (a. s. ) said, “Archangel Gabriel came to Prophet Joseph (a. s. ) who was in the prison and taught him to say the following supplicatory prayer after each prayer:
O Allah, cause all my affairs to arrive at a relief and a way out and give me sustenance from whence I expect and from whence I do not expect.

Fifteenth: Al-Kaf’ami reports that a man complained to the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) about his ailment and poverty. The Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) therefore taught him to say the following statement after the obligatory prayers:
I put my trust in the Ever-living (Lord) Who never dies. All praise is due to Allah, Who has not taken a wife or a son and Who has not a partner in the kingdom, and Who has not a helper to save Him from disgrace; and magnify Him with all magnificence.

According to another report, the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) said, “Whenever a tribulation afflicted me, Archangel Gabriel would come to me and instruct me to say these words. ” According to other validly reported traditions, this doxology may be repeated for fending off evil inspirations, settling debts, and saving from poverty. According to other traditions, the following statement precedes the doxology involved:
There is neither might nor power except with Allah.

Sixteenth: In his book of al-Muqni’ah, Shaykh al-Mufid has mentioned the following supplicatory prayer to be said after every prayer:
O Allah, (please) make us benefit by knowledge, adorn us with forbearance, beautify us with wellbeing, and honor us with piety. Surely, my guardian is Allah, Who revealed the Book, and He guards the righteous ones.
