All praise be to Allah Who has not taken to Himself a son,
wa lam yakun lahu sharikun fi almulki
nor has He had any partner in sovereignty,
wa lam yakun lahu waliyyun mina aldhdhulli
nor does He need any to protect Him from humiliation.
wa kabbirhu takbiran
And magnify Him with all magnificence.
4.Before you move from your prayer-place, repeat the following litany ten times:
It is narrated that a great reward is obtained by saying this litany,
especially after the Dawn (Fajr) and Evening (`Isha') obligatory Prayers and at sunrise and sunset.
ash-hadu an la ilaha illa allahu
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah;
wahdahu la sharika lahu
(He is) One and Only; and there is no partner with Him;
ilahan wahidan
a Single God;
ahadan fardan samadan
One, Unique, and eternally Besought of all.
lam yattakhidh sahibatan wa la waladan
He has taken to Himself neither a wife nor a son.
6.Then, say the 'subhana allahi kullama sabbaha' :
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ كُلَّما سَبَّحَ ٱللَّهَ شَيءٌ
subhana allahi kullama sabbaha allaha shay'un
All Glory be to Allah whenever Allah is glorified by things,
Allah—there is no god except Him—is the Living One, the All-sustainer. Neither drowsiness befalls Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that may intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of His knowledge except what He wishes. His seat embraces the heavens and the earth and He is not wearied by their preservation, and He is the All-exalted, the All-supreme.Holy Quran 2:255
There is no compulsion in religion: rectitude has become distinct from error. So one who disavows fake deities and has faith in Allah has held fast to the firmest handle for which there is no breaking; and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing.Holy Quran 2:256
Allah is the wali of the faithful: He brings them out of darkness into light. As for the faithless, their awliya are the fake deities, who drive them out of light into darkness. They shall be the inmates of the Fire, and they will remain in it [forever]Holy Quran 2:257.
(3) Verses of Bearing Witness (Ayat al-Shahadah; 3:18-19),
Allah, maintainer of justice, the Almighty and the All-wise, besides whom there is no god, bears witness that there is no god except Him, and [so do] the angels and those who possess knowledge.Holy Quran 3:18
Indeed, with Allah religion is Islam, and those who were given the Book did not differ except after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves. And whoever denies Allah’s signs [should know that] Allah is swift at reckoning.Holy Quran 3:19
O Allah, (please) fill my heart with illumination, discernment,
wa fahman wa `ilman
(faculty of) understanding, and knowledge.
innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun
Verily, You have power over all things.
13.Al-Kaf`ami, in his book of al-Misbah, says to repeat the following prayer three times after obligatory prayers:
أُعِيذُ نَفْسي وَدِينِي
u`idhu nafsi wa dini
I seek for myself, my religion,
wa ahli wa mali
my family members, my possessions,
wa waladi wa ikhwani fi dini
my descendants, my brethren-in-faith,
wa ma razaqani rabbi wa khawatima `amali
all sustenance that my Lord has provided to me as sustenance, the results of my deeds,
wa man ya`nini amruhu
and whomever I may concern about,
billahi alwahidi
(I seek for all these) the protection of Allah, the Single,
al-ahadi alssamadi
the One, and the eternally Besought of all
alladhi lam yalid wa lam yulad
Who begets not, nor is He begotten;
wa lam yakun lahu kufwan ahadun
and the like of Whom there is none.
wa birabbi alfalaqi
And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of the dawn
min sharri ma khalaqa
from the evil of what He has created,
wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqaba
the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes,
wa min sharri alnnaffathati fi al`uqadi
the evil of those who blow on knots,
wa min sharri hasidin idha hasada
and the evil of the envious when he envies.
wa birabbi alnnasi
And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of men,
maliki alnnasi
the King of men,
ilahi alnnasi
the God of men,
min sharri alwaswasi alkhannasi
from the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Satan),
alladhi yuwaswisu fi suduri alnnasi
who whispers into the hearts of men
mina aljinnati walnnasi
from among the jinn and the men.
14.It is narrated in an inscription handwritten by Shaykh al-Shahid
that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever desires that Almighty Allah will not show him his evildoings (that he did in this world) on the Resurrection Day and will not open the record of his evildoings, should say the following prayer after each obligatory prayer:
and wellbeing in this world as well as the Next World.
14 - In seeking the good of this world and the hereafter after prayer
On the authority of Ali bin Mahziyar, he said: Muhammad bin Ibrahim wrote to Abu al-Hasan( Imam Naqi(as), peace be upon him: I saw, O my master, that you teach me a supplication that I can supplicate with after my prayers, with which God will gather for me the good of this world and the hereafter.
So he, peace be upon him, wrote: Say:
yaa man yamleko hawaaejas saaa-eleena wa ya’lamo zameeras saameteena le-kulle mas-alatin minka sam-u’n haazerun wa jawaabun a’teedun
O One Who has command over the fulfillment of the desires of those who beg. He knows what is in the hearts of those who remain quiet. Every question is heard by You and for it answer is provided
wa lekulle saametin minka i’lmun baatenun moheetun as-aloka be-mawaa-e’edekas saadeqate wa ayaadeekal faazelate wa rahmatekal waa-se-a’te wa sultaanekal qaahere wa mulkekad daa-eme wa kalemaatekat taam-maate
and for every silence has hidden encompassing knowledge from Your side. I beseech You with Your true promises, and Your abundant blessings, and your encompassing Mercy, and Your encompassing power, and Your everlasting kingdom, and Your complete words.
salle a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi war zuqnee min fazleka wa a-a’tenee feemaa tarzoqonil a’afeyata be-rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeen
send blessing upon Muhammad and his progeny and grant me sustenance from Your favour, and bestow me wellbeing as my sustenance by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of all.
(8) Supplication in Prostration at the Time of Distress
Imam Reza (a.s.) has narrated this supplication:
“While feeling weakness or involved in any trouble and tired of misfortunes then go into prostration and put first your right cheek and then left cheek on the earth and every time recite:
yaa mozilla kulle jabbaarin a’needin yaa o-i’zza kulle zaleelin qad wa haqqeqa balagha majhoodee fa-salle a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wa farrij a’nnee.
O Humiliator of all tyrants! O Dignifier of all humble ones! I, swearing by You, have exerted all efforts; so, send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and relieve me.
Chapter 9 Supplications to be Recited Everyday
(1) Important Supplication for ‘Discharging the Rights of Allah’
Sayed Ibn Taaoos (r.a.) has narrated on the authority of Imam Reza (a.s.) who on the authority of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said:
“Whoever wants that the weight of his deeds should exceed the prescribed weight on the scale (میزان) then in order to thank the bounties of the Almighty Allah recite this supplication:
subhaanal laahe kamaa yanbaghee lillaahe wal hamdo lillaahe kamaa yanbaghee lillaahe wa laa elaaha illal laaho kamaa yanbaghee lillaahe wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahe wa sallal laaho a’laa mohammadin nabiyye wa ahle baytehin nabiyyil a’rabiyyil haashemiyye wa sallal laaho a’laa jamee-i’l mursaleena wan nabiyyeena hattaa yarzal laah.
Glory be to Allah as it should be due for Allah and praise be to Allah as it should be due for Allah and there is no god but Allah as it should be due for Allah and there are no means and no power without Allah and salutation of Allah upon Muhammad, the Prophet and the progeny of Prophet, the Arab, the Hashmite and salutation of Allah upon all the messengers and the prophets till Allah is satisfied.
In "Tuhfatu Ridawiyah" he said: Allamah Taqi, Sayyid Mirza Hasan bn Sayyid Mirza Ali Agha Shirazi told me of the following supplication, he mentioned that it was from the proof (may Allah hasten his relief) and some pious scholars has also narrated it. He said: you recite it after every day compulsory prayers and at any other time, it suffices you in your important requests and makes you reach your goal.
O' He when the affairs has become difficult He opens ways we didn't imagine, so send Your blessing on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, open ways out of my difficulties that I didn't imagine, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful.

22.Supplications after Every Obligatory Prayers 82 Rabeeul Anaam Fi Adeea-e-Khairil Anaam
The author of Mikyaal al-Makaarim writes, “There are times and
occasions in which supplications for the hidden Imam, Hazrat
Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) have been emphasized, asking Allah for his early
reappearance, and these have been supported by Quranic verses,
traditions and the intellect. There are numerous invocations,
narrated on the authority of the infallible Imams (a.s.) in this regard.
A few of them we shall mention hereunder:
i)Supplications after Every Obligatory Prayer
Shaykh Saduq (a.r.), in “ مَنْ لَ يَحْضُرُهُ الْفَقِيهْ ” narrates from the ninth
Imam, Muhammad al-Jawad (a.s.), the following supplication:
And heal through him our hearts and the hearts of a believing people.
ii)Invocation for the renewal of allegiance for Imam-e-zamaan (a.t.f.s.) after every obligatory daily prayers:
Allama Majlisi in Behaar al-Anwaar, narrates from the book, “Al-
Ikhteyaar” of Sayyed Ibn Baaqi, that Imam Sadeq (a.s.) said, “One
who recites this supplication after every obligatory daily prayers,
then he will certainly get the privilege of seeing Imam-e-Zamaan
(a.t.f.s.), in sleep or otherwise.
BismillāhirRaḥmānirRaḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Allāhumma balligh mawlānā ṢāḥibazZamān
O Allah, convey our salutations to our Master, the Lord of Time,
for they see it as distant, but we see it as near.
Wa ṣallallāhu ʿalā Muḥammad wa ālih
And may Allah send His blessings upon Muhammad and his family.
iii)Supplication Enhances Longevity
Among the deeds that are stressed upon, is to pray for the early
reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) after every obligatory
prayer. The author of Mikyaal al-Makaarim has supported this idea
with the help of the following tradition which says, “Whoever
recites the following invocation after every obligatory prayer, his
life will be prolonged till he sees Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.).”
and do not leave me to myself or to anyone besides You.
He (peace be upon him) said: "And you may mention whomever you wish."
1 Mikyaal al-Makaarim, vol. 2, p. 4; Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 86, p. 61
narrating from Ikhteyaar of Ibn al-Baaqee.
iv ) Another Invocation for Longevity
Allama Majlisi, in Kitab al-Salaat of Behaar al-Anwaar, narrates
from “Falaah al-Saael” of the renowned scholar, Sayed Ibn Tawoos,
who writes, “Abu Muhammad Haroon Ibn Musa relates from Abu
al-Hasan Ali Ibn Yaqub al-Ajali al-Kesaai, from Ali Ibn al-Hasan
Ibn Fazaalah, from Ja’far Ibn Muhammad Ibn Hakeem, from
Jameel Ibn Darraaj, who recounts, “ A man came to the presence of
Imam Sadeq (a.s.) and said, “O Master! I have become old and my
relatives have died. I am afraid that I too may become a victim of
the clutches of death while I don’t have anybody with whom I am
acquainted and can refer to him.” Imam (a.s.) replied,
“Surely among your believing brothers, there is somebody
who is very close to you in relation. Your closeness with
him is to the extent of intimacy. Yet, it is necessary that
after every prayer, you recite the following supplication:
Wa lā tasuʾnī fī nafsī wa lā fī aḥadin min aḥibbatī
and do not afflict me in myself or in any of my loved ones.
If you want name them one by one, if you wish, name them
separately or if you so desire, name them together.”
The man said, “By Allah! I lived my life to the fullest.” v) Supplication of Revenge ( (النتقام
Imam Sadeq (a.s.) says,
“Among our rights on our Shias is that they hold their
beards and say after every obligatory prayer thrice,
and the enemies of Your Messenger, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
The narrator asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, have you not
prayed for yourself?’ He (a.s.) replied,
‘I have prayed for the light of Ale Muhammad (a.s.), the
first of them, and the avenger of their enemies by the
command of Allah…”
vii)Supplications During and After Prayers 89
I asked, “Whom are you praying for?’
He (a.s.) replied,“It was for al-Mahdi from the progeny of Muhammad.”
Then he (a.s.) said,
Yaa Man Laa Yashghalohu Sam-U’n A’n Sam-I’n, Yaa Man Laa Yoghalletohus Saa-Eloona, Wa Yaa Man Laa Yubremohu Ilhaahul Molehheena, Aziqnee Barda A’fweka, Wa Maghferateka Wa Halaawata Rahmateka.
O He Who is not distracted by a sound from hearing another sound! O He Who is not confused by the beseechers! O He Who is not annoyed by the insistence of those who entreat Him persistently! Make me taste the nice flavor of Your pardon and forgivenessand the sweetness of Your mercy.
105. His supplication after every prayer for protection and safety
Subhaana Man Laa Ya’tadee A’laa Ahle Mamlakatehi, Subhaana Man Laa Yaakhozo Ahlal Arze Be-Alwaanil A’zaabe, Subhaanar Ra-Oofir Raheeme, Allaahummaj A’l Lee Fee Qalbee Nooran Wa Basaran Wa Fahman Wa I’lman, Innaka A’laa Kulle Shay-In Qadeer.
Glory be to Him Who does not treat the people of His realm with transgression! Glory be to Him Who does not inflict on the inhabitants of the earth various sorts of torture! Glory be to the Affectionate, the Merciful! O Allah! Fill my heart with illumination, discernment, (faculty of) understanding, and knowledge. Verily, You have power over all things.

17.According to a Word of Sacredness, Almighty Allah is reported to have said to the Holy Prophet (s): O Muhammad, convey these words to those who intend to seek nearness to Me: Be it known to you surely that the following words are the best of what can be used as means of seeking nearness to Me after the obligatory prayers:
wa la taj`alhu liluzumi shubhatin aw fakhrin aw riya'in
and do not make it to be accompanied by any suspicion, pride, or ostentation.
ya karimu
O All-generous!
This supplicatory prayer is one of the thirty-one secret supplications of sacredness (i.e. supplications that are reported from Almighty Allah directly) that are said for winning this-worldly and the otherworldly requests.
Our master scholars have quoted these supplicatory prayers through connected chains of authority, and some of them are quoted in Shaykh al-Tusi’s Misbah al-Mutahajjid and al-Kaf`ami’s al-Misbah. To see all these thirty-one supplications, it is advisable to refer to al-Balad al-Amin, the Book of Supplications in Bihar al-Anwar, and al-Jawahir al-Saniyyah.
Twelfth: Al-Barqi, through an authenticated narration, reported Imam al-Sadiq (a. s. ) as saying, “Whoever repeats ten times the following statement after accomplishing his prayer and before moving his knees from their position, Almighty Allah will erase many of his sins, record for him rewards, and he will be regarded as having recited the Holy Qur’an entirely twelve times.
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah,
One and Only and having no associate with Him (in Godhead);
He is the One God,the Unique, the Besought of all,
and He has taken to Himself neither a wife nor a son.
Very much more merits have been reported for uttering this statement of professing Almighty Allah being the One and Only God (i. e. Tahlil) , especially after the Dawn and Evening Prayers and at sunrise and sunset.
Thirteenth: Al-Kulayni, Ibn Baabwayh, and others have reported through authentic chains of authority that Imam al-Sadiq (a. s. ) said, “Archangel Gabriel came to Prophet Joseph (a. s. ) who was in the prison and taught him to say the following supplicatory prayer after each prayer:
O Allah, cause all my affairs to arrive at a relief and a way out
and give me sustenance from whence I expect
and from whence I do not expect.
Fifteenth: Al-Kaf’ami reports that a man complained to the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) about his ailment and poverty. The Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) therefore taught him to say the following statement after the obligatory prayers:
I put my trust in the Ever-living (Lord) Who never dies.
All praise is due to Allah, Who has not taken a wife or a son
and Who has not a partner in the kingdom,
and Who has not a helper to save Him from disgrace;
and magnify Him with all magnificence.
According to another report, the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) said, “Whenever a tribulation afflicted me, Archangel Gabriel would come to me and instruct me to say these words. ” According to other validly reported traditions, this doxology may be repeated for fending off evil inspirations, settling debts, and saving from poverty. According to other traditions, the following statement precedes the doxology involved:
لاحَوْلَ وَلاقُوَّةَ اِلاّ بِاللَّهِ.
There is neither might nor power except with Allah.
Sixteenth: In his book of al-Muqni’ah, Shaykh al-Mufid has mentioned the following supplicatory prayer to be said after every prayer:
O Allah, (please) make us benefit by knowledge,
adorn us with forbearance,
beautify us with wellbeing,
and honor us with piety.
Surely, my guardian is Allah, Who revealed the Book,
and He guards the righteous ones.
