A'maal for night of Idd Zuha | Imam Zainul abidin (as) dua for Idd uz Zuha day | Recite Ziyarat of Imam Husayn (A.S.) | Dua Nudba | Eid Sermons |
The Prayer of Eid- can be performed individually if one has missed the Jama'at. This prayer is Sunnat during the period of occultation of the
Imam-e-Zamana(a.s.). The prayer can be prayed from sunrise until the time
of descent of the Sun (zawal). If that timing is not observed then
this namaz cannot be prayed as a QAZA namaz.
The Eid Prayer consists of two Rak`ahs. In the first Rak`ah, one
may recite Surah of al-Fatihah and
Surah Al
A'alaMp3(No. 87). After
the recitation of these Surahs, one may say the takbeer statement
(i.e. allahu-akbar) five times
and raise the hands for the Qunut after
each takbeer, saying:

And I seek Your protection against all that against which Your righteous servants have asked Your protection. |
You may then say the takber for the sixth time, and do the genuflection (ruku`), and prostrate yourself (sujud). When you stand up for the second Rak`ah, recite Surah of al-Fatihah and Surah As Shams Mp3(No. 91) and then say the takbeer four times only raising the hands for the Qunut after each takbeer. After that, say the fifth takbeer and continue the prayer. After accomplishment of the prayer, say the famous Tasbeh al-Zahra' (a.s). It is recommended to offer the Eid Prayer outdoors, directly on the ground without putting a carpet or any other thing under the feet, to return from a way other than the one taken in the coming, to pray Almighty Allah for accepting the acts of ones brethren-in-faith.

Section 8 The Nobility of Offering Sacrifice |
The following is
narrated based on documents on the authority of Abu Ja‟far ibn
Babuyih in his book Man La Yahzaruh Al-Faqih, God‟s Prophet (MGB)
offered two sheep. Once he slaughtered one of them he said, O' my
God! This is my offering and that of any of my Progeny who does not
make an offering. He slaughtered the next one and said, O' my God!
This is my offering and that of any of my nation who does not make
an offering. |
Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha Prayers ( islamic Semnary summary) Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha prayers are obligatory during the time of Imam (a.s.), and it is necessary to offer them in congregation. However during the present times when the Holy Imam is in Occultation, these prayers are mustahab, and may be offered individually as well as in congregation but it is better to recite in congregation. The time for Eid prayers is from sunrise till Zuhr. For the Eid Prayers instead of Iqamah, As-Salaat should be recited and after that make intention: I recite two rakats Prayer of Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid-ul-Azha, Sunnat Qurbatan Ilallaah. In the first rakat after Surah Hamd, Surah Alaa is recited and after that say: اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ Allaahu Akbar and recite five Qunoots and it is best to recite the following Dua in every qunoot: Transliteration: Allaahumma ahlal kibriyaai wal azamah, wa ahlal joodi wal jabaroot, wa ahlal afwi war rahmah, wa ahlat taqwa wal maghfirah. As aluka bihaqqi haadhal yawmil ladhi ja-altahu lil muslimeena eeda, wali Muhammadin sal lal laahu Alaihi wa Aalihi, dhukharanw wa sharafan wa karaamatanw wa mazeeda an tusalliya alaa Muhammadanw wa Aali Muhammad wa an tudkhilani fi kulli khayrin adkhalta fihi Muhammadanw wa Aala Muhammad wa an tukhrijani min kulli soo-in akhrajta minhu Muhammadanw wa Aala Muhammad salawaatuka alaihi wa alaihim. Allaa humma inni as aluka khayra ma saalaka bihi Ibadukas saalihoon, wa auoodhubika mim masta aadha minhu Ibaadukal mukhlisoon. Translation: O Allah, (belongs to You only) pride, glory, excellence, omnipotence. (You) grant amnesty and show kindness, (You are) Holy and Oft-forgiving, (so), I ask You in the name of this day which You have ordained as a day of happiness for the Muslims. An occasion for Muhammad (blessings of Allah be on him and his progeny) to plan ahead and grow strong to send blessings on Muhammad and on the progeny of Muhammad. And introduce me to every good that had been made available to Muhammad and Aale Muhammad. Educate me to keep from every evil as You kept safe Muhammad and Aale Muhammad from it. Your blessings be on him and on them. O Allah, I ask you to give me the good which Your pious servants had asked for. And I take refuge with You from that which caused Your pious servants to seek refuge with you. After that perform the ruku and sajdahs. After the two sajdahs stand up for the second rakat. In the second rakat first recite Surah Fatiha and after that any other Surah but it is better to recite Surah Shams. After that say: اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ Allaahu Akbar and recite four Qunoots and recite the same Dua as mentioned above. Then perform the ruku and sajdahs, then recite the tashahud and salaam thus completing the prayer. After the Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha Prayers two sermons must be recited in both of which Allah is glorified and praised and the excellence of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) and the Ahle Bayt (a.s.) is mentioned. Then Takbeers are recited in unison. The worshippers must listen to the two sermons.

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no god except Allah, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and praise is for Allah, Allah is the Greatest, for that upon which He guided us. Thanks be to Him for the bounties He has given us. Allah is the Greatest that He gave us to consume the flesh of quadrupeds and all praise is for Allah for having tested us. Praise be to Allah Who tested the creatures through different tests so that the recompense may not become invalid and that the good reward may be felt nice. Allah sent the messengers and appointed guides for the best of the paths who were weak in apparent circumstances but strong in their determinations. And if Allah wanted, He could have made them very mighty through which the people would have been compelled to bow down before them. And the arms of pride would have become helpless in front of them. All praise is for Allah Who made His blessed House in Mecca which is a guide for all the worlds. And He made it a peaceful place of gathering of all the people and for those who worship and practice devotions. O servants of Allah, know the greatness of this great day. It is the day when the Almighty Allah tested His bosom friend, Ibrahim by commanding him to slaughter his son, Ismail. When the Khaleel was sleeping between the Rukn and Maqaam, he saw in dream that he was slaughtering his son and shedding his blood. He said to his son: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see O chief of the world. He replied: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. Do not let your clothes be smeared with my blood and that my loving mother should not see my blood. You convey my greetings to her, give her my shirt and tell her that the Kind Lord has sent her son to the Paradise. When he concluded his dialogue and his bequest was over, the Khaleel tied him up securely laid him down very gently. The birds began to sacrifice themselves for him and the earth and the mountains began to shudder. The angels began to lament and the beast of the wild began to tremble in terror. Sounds of wails and lamentations came to them from the heavens and the earth echoed with sounds of screams of sorrow. It was so because they all felt pity on the little child and seeing the patience of the aged man, they were amazed. At that the most merciful of the merciful ones called out: O Ibrahim, you have fulfilled your vision. Indeed We recompense the doers of good in this way only. Most surely this is a manifest trial. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice. Now, the Khaleel took the knife and moved to the replacement that Jibraeel had brought, and he slaughtered it and recited: In the Name of Allah, loudly over it. The Book of Allah the Great and Wise is the best discourse. In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Say: He, Allah, is One. Allah is He on Whom all depend. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And none is like Him. After that sit down and recite the Durood thrice. And then arise and recite the second sermon. Translation: In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. All praise be to Allah except whom there is no deity. He is One, Unique and needless. He does not have a companion or an issue. And I testify that His Eminence, Muhammad Mustafa is His servant and His chosen Prophet and His Eminence, Ali is the chief of the believers and the leader of the successors and the Imams from his progeny are our leaders. O servants of Allah, I advise you to fear Allah and exhort you to His obedience. I enjoin you to perform good deeds in these passing temporal days, before death gets hold of you; from which it is not possible to escape. Surely Allah and His angels bless the Prophet; O you who believe! call for (Divine) blessings on him and salute him with a (becoming) salutation. O Allah, bless Muhammad the chief of all the prophets, and on the chief of believers, Ali and on Fatima Zahra, daughter of Muhammad Mustafa, and Hasan, who was martyred with poison of oppression. And Husain, the martyr of Kerbala and Ali Ibnul Husain the grief-stricken, and Muhammad Ibne Ali and Jafar Ibne Muhammad and Moosa Ibne Jafar and Ali Ibne Moosa and Muhammad Ibne Ali and Ali Ibne Muhammad and Hasan Ibne Ali and the Hujjat al-Qaim who will rise up with truth, the awaited Mahdi. Through whose survival the world survives and through whose blessings the world is nourished. O Allah, have mercy on us through the eternal acceptance of one who will strengthen the foundations of Shariah and faith. O Allah, give us the good sense of Your obedience and to keep away from Your disobedience and the sincerity of intention and the recognition of sanctity and honor us with guidance and determination and fill up our hearts with knowledge and recognition and purify our stomachs from unlawful and doubtful things. And restrain our hands from oppression and theft and keep our eyes away from sinfulness and betrayal of trust and block our ears from hearing vain things and backbiting. O the owner of generosity and kindness, for the sake of your generosity and nobility, accept our supplication. Indeed Allah commands justice, goodness and giving to the kinsfolk. And He prohibits from evil and shamelessness. Allah advises you so that you may obtain good counsel. Takbeers of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha It is mustahab that the following Takbeers be said after Maghrib and Isha prayers, and on Eid day after Fajr prayers, as well as after Eid-ul-Fitr prayers: Transliteration: Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, laa ilaaha illal laah wallaahu akbar, Allaahu Akbar, wa lillaahil hamd, Allaahu akbar alaa maa hadaana. Translation: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no god except Allah, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and praise is for Allah, Allah is the Greatest, for that upon which He guided us. In Eid-ul-Azha, it is mustahab that the above mentioned Takbeers be said after ten prayers, of which the first is the Zuhr prayers of Eid day and the last is the Fajr of 12th Zillhajj. It is also mustahab that after the above mentioned Takbeers, the following be recited: Transliteration: Allaahu Akbar alaa maa razaqana min bahimatil an aaam, wal hamdu lil laahi alaa maa ablaana. Translation: Allah is the Greatest, for He gave us to consume the flesh of quadrupeds and all praise is for Allah, for having tested us.
