First: Repeat very often the following
subnallhi |
All Glory be to Allah. |
allhu-akbaru |
Allah is the Most Great. |
l ilha ill allhu |
There is no god save Allah. |
allhumma alli `al muammadin wa li muammadin |
O Allah, send blessings to Muammad and his Household. |
According to another narration, one may repeat the invocation of blessings upon Muammad and his Household one hundred times at least at Friday nights.
Imam al-diq (`a) is reported as saying, To invoke Almighty Allahs blessings upon Muammad and his Household at Friday nights is equal to winning one thousand rewards, having one thousand evildoings erased, and having one thousand ranks raised.
It is recommended to start these invocations immediately after the `Ar Prayer on Thursday up to the end of Friday daytime. In this regard, it has been authentically narrated that Imam Ja`far al-diq (`a) said, On Thursday afternoons, angels from the heavens descend to the lowest space carrying golden pens and silver papers on which they record nothing except the invocations of blessings upon Muammad and his Household.
Shaykh al-s says it recommended, on Thursdays, to repeat the invocations of blessings upon Muammad and his Household one thousand times in the following form: 1 pg Jpg
allhumma alli `al muammadin wa li muammadin |
O Allah, send blessings to Muammad and the Household of Muammad, |
wa `ajjil farajahum |
hasten their Relief, |
wa ahlik `aduwwahum |
and destroy their enemies |
mina aljinni wal-insi |
from both jinn and human beings, |
mina al-awwalna wal-khirna |
both the foremost and the later ones. |
Great reward will be the share of him who utters this invocation from Thursday afternoons up to the last hour of Fridays.
Shaykh al-s has also recorded that it is recommended to say the following prayer of forgiveness at the last hour of Thursdays:
اسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ |
astaghfiru allha alladh l ilha ill huwa |
I pray the forgiveness of Allah; there is no god but He, |
alayyu alqayymu |
the Ever-living, the Self-Subsisting, |
wa atbu ilayhi |
and I repent to Him |
tawbata `abdin khi`in |
as a slave who is submissive, |
misknin mustaknin |
acquiescent, and poor, |
l yasta`u linafsih arfan wa l `adlan |
not controlling for himself any harm or profit, |
wa l naf`an wa l arran |
or benefit or damage |
wa l ayatan wa l mawtan wa l nushran |
and not controlling death nor life, nor raising (the dead) to life. |
wa all allhu `al muammadin |
May Allah send peace upon Muammad |
wa `itratih alayyibna alhirna |
and his Household; the pure, the immaculate, |
al-akhyri al-abrri |
the choicest, and the pious; |
wa sallama taslman |
and may He spread thorough blessings over them. |
Second: At Friday nights, it is recommended to recite the following chapters (Srah) of the Holy Qur'n:
(1) Srah al-Isr (Ban-Isr'l; No. 17),(2) Srah al-Kahf (No. 18),(3) the three Srahs beginning with -Sn, i.e. Srah al-Shu`ar' (No. 26), Srah al-Naml (No. 27),
and Srah al-Qaa (No. 28),(4) Srah al-Sajdah (No. 32),(5) Srah Ysn (No. 36),(6) Srah d (No. 38),(7) Srah al-Aqf (No. 46),(8) Srah al-Wqi`ah (No. 56),
(9) Srah Fuilat (No. 41),(10) Srah al-Dukhn (No. 44),(11) Srah al-r (No. 52),(12) Srah al-Qamar (No. 54), and(13) Srah al-Jumu`ah (No. 62).
If there is not enough time to recite all these Srahs, one may choose Srah al-Wqi`ah and those preceding it [in the aforesaid list].
Imam al-diq (as) is reported to have said that one who recites Srah al-Isr' each Friday night will join Imam al-Mahd (as) as one of his companions.
He (as) is also reported as saying that one who recites Srah al-Kahf at Friday nights will die as martyr and will be resurrected with and in the line of the martyrs (on the Resurrection Day).
He (as) is also reported as saying that one who recites the three Srahs beginning with -Sn at Friday nights will be included with the intimate saints of Almighty Allah, will be made in the vicinity and under the protection of Him, will never be inflicted with misery in his worldly life, and will be given beyond his pleasure on the Resurrection Day.
He (as) is also reported as saying that one who recites Srah al-Sajdah at Friday nights will be given his Record of Deeds in his right hand, will not be interrogated about his evildoings, and will be included with the companions of Muammad and his Householdpeace be upon them all.
Imam Muammad al-Bqir (as) is reported to have said that one who recites Srah d at Friday nights will be granted the welfare of this world as well as the Next World in such an excellent way that none would deserve except Prophets and archangels and will be allowed to Paradise as well as all those whom he loves among his household including the servants.
Imam Ja`far al-diq (as) is reported to have said that one who recites on Fridays or at Friday nights Srah al-Aqf will be saved, by Almighty Allah, from terrors in the worldly life and will be secured from the horror of the Resurrection Day.
He (as) is also reported as saying that one who recites Srah al-Wqiah at Friday nights will be loved by Almighty Allah, all people will be made to love him, will be saved from all miseries, poverty, neediness, and misfortunes in this worldly life, and will be joined to the companions of Imam `Al Amr al-Mu'minn (as) because this Srah is ascribed to him.
It has been also narrated that to recite Srah al-Jumu`ah at Friday nights is decided as expiation (forgiving the sins) for the evildoings committed throughout the week. A similar merit has been narrated for reciting Srah al-Kahf at Friday nights or after the two obligatory uhr and `Ar Prayers on Fridays.
It is worth mentioning that it is highly recommended to offer many (supererogatory) prayers at Friday nights such as Imam `Als Prayer, known as (alt Amr al-Mu'minn) and the two-unit prayer in each of which one should recite Srah al-Ftiah once and repeat Srah al-Zalzalah (No. 99) fifteen times. It has been narrated that one who offers this prayer will be saved, by Almighty Allah, from the grave torment and the horrors on the Resurrection Day.
Third: It is recommended to recite Srah al-Jumu`ah (No. 62) in the first unit of the Maghrib (Sunset) and `Ish' (Evening) obligatory Prayers, and to recite Srah al-Tawd (No. 112) in the second unit of the Maghrib Prayer and Srah al-A`l (No. 87) in the second unit of the `Ish' Prayer.
Fourth: It is recommended to avoid reciting poetry at Friday nights. Imam Ja`far al-diq (as) is reported to have said that it is abominable to say poetry for one observing fasting (awm), the Murim (entering into Irm: putting the pilgrimage uniform and entering the state of being performing the obligatory rites of the ritual ajj), and on Fridays and at Friday nights. When he was asked whether this instruction is effective on the religiously acceptable poetry too, the Imam (as) answered affirmatively.
Fifth: It is highly recommended to pray to Almighty Allah for the good of ones brethren-in-faith very frequently so as to emulate the deed of Lady Fimah al-Zahr'. According to a adth, one who prays for ten deceased individuals will be unquestionably allowed to enter Paradise.
Sixth: It is also recommended to say the supplications dedicated to Fridays. Actually, these supplications are too numerous to be cited in this chapter; therefore, a few of them will be hereinafter mentioned:
Imam Ja`far al-diq (as) is reported as saying that one who says the following prayer in the last prostration of the `Ish' nafila/supererogatory prayer at Friday nights and repeats it seven times will have all his sins forgiven as soon as he accomplishes that prayer. Yet, it is desirable to repeat this deed each night:
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اسْالُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَريمِ |
allhumma inn as'aluka biwajhika alkarmi |
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face |
wasmika al`ami |
and in the name of Your Sublime Name |
an tualliya `al muammadin wa li muammadin |
to send blessings to Muammad and his Household |
wa an taghfira l dhanbiya al`ama |
and to forgive me my grave sin. |
The Holy Prophet () is reported to have said that one who repeats the following prayer seven times at Friday night will be allowed Paradise if he departs life at that night; and one who repeats it seven times on Friday will be also allowed Paradise if he departs life on that day: 1 pg image

O Allah, You are my Lord; |

I come to observe my covenant and promise to You as much as I can. |
a`dhu birika min sharri m ana`tu |
I take refuge in Your pleasure against the evil of my deeds. |
ab'u bini`matika wa ab'u bidhanb |
I acknowledge Your favors and confess of my sins. |
faghfir l dhunb |
So, (please) forgive my sins, |
innah l yaghfiru aldhdhunba ill anta |
for none can forgive sins save You. |
Dua Allahumma Man taaba
Shaykh al-s, Sayyid Ibn ws, al-Kaf`am, and Sayyid Ibn Bq have recorded that it is recommended to say the following prayer on Fridays and at Friday nights and on the day and night of `Araft (the ninth of Dhul-ijjah). the supplication cited is as quoted from Shaykh al-ss book of al-Mib:

FRIDAY NIGHT DUA FROM ALMANAC
O Allah make me submissive, till I surrender to Thee, make me happy by putting fear of God in my heart, do not make me miserable on account of disobedience unto Thee. Write (prescribe) for me freedom from pain, trouble and anxiety, make ready for me blessings and happiness, so that what is last does not come in advance, or what is urged to happen quickly is not delayed... Give me contentment and an independent disposition... Make me derive advantage from the power of hearing (listen to and accept advise and obey), and seeing (discernment, intelligence, and perception of truth); And both of them to my inheritors (children) Give me an upper hand over him who intimidates me, and treat me well through Thy might and power, O Lord, and keep me in that exact state O Allaah! Attend to and take care of me in the frightening hours of the Day of Judgement... Make me leave this world in safe and sound condition, and enter the permanent land of bless and beauty (Paradise) in peace and tranquillity; And join the delightful charming people who have refined manners, intelligent minds and beautiful faces, multiply provisions allotted to me, and to my dependents, also promote welfare of the people and make me sit, through Thy mercy, in the company of Thy upright servants. O Allaah! If penalised (it means) I deserved punishment; If forgiven (it is because) Thou art (the Most Merciful) Master How would Thou punish? O My Master! My heart is full of Thy love, undoubtedly, and Thy absolute authority, very kindly, take notice of that, and keep us together with people who are given respite... How much less attention they may pay to Thy commands! O Allaah! For the sake of Thy pure and pious friends, peace be upon them, make us preserve true traditions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.). and come up to the confidence put in us, to keep safe and watch over the backbone of Thy religion (adoration and worship of Allaah). O Allaah!Truly, we are the worthiest among Thy creation, treat us in that context. O Allaah! Treat us mercifully. O Allaah! Make my knowledge about Thee of the highest quality. Do not let me drown myself in hatred, Nor feel resentful;Keep me steadfast, Within bounds, Obedient, Enduring O Allaah forgive me, Have mercy on me, Make me strive in Thy way honestly, Free me from the heat of burning Hell, From being consumed by the blazing fire, Make less what I have to pay back, And punishment I deserve, make me be one of the choicest people for all times... O Allah! Have mercy on me because have not the strength, nor patience to withstand it (punishment), through Thy mercy, O the Most Merciful, O Allaah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad

Also recite Sura 102 Takathur before sleeping each day
Sura 4 Nisa on Thursday Nights
Salaat 1 for Thursday evening
The prayer for this eve is six rakats. In every rakat after
Surah Hamd recite
Ayatul Kursi and Surah Kafiroon once each and Surah Tawheed thrice.
After the prayers recite Ayatul Kursi thrice. For one who recites this prayer the Almighty Allah appoints an angel to purify his sins who purifies his sins and in their place writes good fortune and bestows him whatever he desires.
Prayer of Imam Mahdi on night of friday Mafatih al-Jinan: Prayer of Imam Mahdi on night of friday Quoting the book of Kunuz al-Najah by Shaykh al-Yabrisi, the author of al-Najm al-Thaqib mentioned the following statement to have come from the Holy Region (i. e. Imam al-Mahdi) : Whoever has a request to be urgently granted by Almighty Allah, may bathe himself after midnight at a Friday night, directs towards his place of prayer, and offers a two unit prayer. In the first unit, he may recite Surah al-Faatehah, but when he reaches this holy verse, he should repeat it one hundred times: إيّاك نعبد وإيّاك نستعين He may then continue reciting this Surah. After that, he may recite Surah al-Tawheed one time only. In the genuflection of each unit, he may repeat the genuflection doxology seven times: سبحان ربّى العظيم و بحمده
In the two prostrations of each unit, he may repeat the prostration doxology seven times: سبحان ربّى الاعلى و بحمده
Upon accomplishment of the prayer, he may beseech Almighty Allah using this supplicatory prayer. If he does, Almighty Allah will most certainly grant him his request unless it results in rupture of relations with ones relatives: You may then repeat this word as much as one breathe takes: ياكَريمُ ياكَريمُ You may then continue, saying: You may now mention the one whom you anticipate to harm you by name and the fathers name (i. e. so-and-so the son of so-and-so) and beseech Almighty Allah to repel his harm and save from his evils. Most certainly, Almighty Allah will do, if He wills. Then, you may prostrate yourself, submit your request, and beseech Almighty Allah earnestly and purely. Verily, if any believing man or woman offers this prayer and says this supplicatory prayer, the doors to the heavens will be opened before him/her so that his/her requests will be granted and his/her prayer will be immediately responded, no matter what his/her prayer may be. This is one of the favors Almighty Allah has bestowed upon people and upon us. The venerable son of Shaykh al-Yabrisi; namely, Radi al-Din Hasan ibn al-Fadl, has reported this prayer too in the book of Makarim al-Akhlaq with little difference in the supplicatory prayer. In the prefatory statement, he has added the word qad (surely) after kuntu (have been) , the word ahadan (anyone) after the word akhafa (fear) , and the word asaluka (I beseech You) after the word firawna (Pharaoh) . However, the other words of the supplicatory prayer are the same. |

O my Allah! Many a man takes pain, makes compromises, uses artifices, comes to terms, to draw attention of other men in hope of profit and gain, kindness and indulgence, but unto thee, O Lord, I turn to for fitness and maturity, seeking Thy favours, making a request for Thy indulgence and kindness, because Thou does not dismiss praying suppliant. O He who does not send away any destitute disappointed; nor is ever at a disadvantage because of extravagance (giving with out restraint). Surely I have come to Thee with no good deeds to rely upon, but I never go to others to draw their attention. I have come to Thee, bitter and sour on account of vain desires, sad and desolate, ashamed of my guilt. Without any excuse or argument I have come to Thee to make a request for Thy lenient method Thou uses to deal with wrongdoers; because prolonged fascination for an artificial life does not make Thee withdraw Thy mercy. O He Who shows mercy, again and again, and forgive, ever so beyond measure. O The Magnificent! O The Magnificent! O The Magnificent! Nothing turn off thy anger except Thy loving attention; nothing keeps safe from Thy displeasure, except humble submissiveness, unto Thee. So forgive me. O my Lord and Master, free me of care and anxiety, as Thou has the skill and mastery (even) to make barren dead ground grow green, and be fertile; and do not make me rush into deadly danger, in frustration, give answer to my call, tell me that my request has received approval; let me have the full used of the welfare (I am allowed), till the end of my life. Do not give my enemy a chance to laugh at me, do not give him an upper hand over me, do not let him tread on the neck of his victim (me). O Allah! If Thou hampers my progress, who (no one) can promote my cause! If Thou improves my station, who (no one) can lower my position! It Thou condemns me who (no one) can speak to Thee on behalf of Thy servant and draw Thy attention to his plight! I know for sure there is no injustice in what Thou decides upon, nor Thou punishes in a hurry, for only he makes haste, who is liable to lose the chance, or only the weak and stupid resort to highhandedness; and Thou stands high and above, O my Lord and Master, away from this, the sublime the Greatest. O Allah! I seek refuge with Thee, so give me asylum, I look for thy protection, so watch over me. I ask for means of livelihood, so keep up me. I rely upon Thee, so make me content. I turn to thee for help against my enemy, so support me. I run after Thy help, so stand by me. I strive for Thy forgiveness, O My Lord and Master! Forgive me. So be it. So be it. So be it. |
