If this du-a'a is recited for a person in trance or unconsciousness or temporary insanity, he or she shall become normal.
It is also recited to make a woman give birth to a living child if there were several miscarriages. To seek forgiveness of sins and to get enough sustenance, recite this du-a'a on 40 consecutive Fridays, after sunset.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Bismi Allāhi Ar-Raḥmāni Ar-Raḥīm.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad.
O Allah, please do send blessings to Muhammad.
وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
wa āli Muḥammad.
And to the household of Muhammad.
احْتَجَبْتُ بِنُورِ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ الْقَدِيمِ الْكَامِلِ
Iḥtajabtu bi-nūri wajhi Allāhi al-Qadīmi al-Kāmil.
I seek covering protection by the light of Allah. He is The Eternal, The Perfect.
وَ تَحَصَّنْتُ بِحِصْنِ اللَّهِ الْقَوِيِّ الشَّامِلِ
Wa taḥaṣṣantu bi-ḥiṣni Allāhi al-Qawiyyi ash-Shāmil.
And I seek to be entrenched by the haven of Allah. He is The Powerful, The Flawless.
وَ رَمَيْتُ مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ
Wa ramaytu man baghā 'alayya
I strike the enemy who attacks me.
بِسَهْمِ اللَّهِ وَ سَيْفِهِ الْقَاتِل
bi-sahmi Allāhi wa sayfihī al-Qātil.
This is done by the arrow of Allah and His lethal sword.
اللّٰهُمَّ يَا غَالِباً عَلٰى أَمْرِهٖ
Allāhumma yā Ghāliban 'alā amrihī
O Allah, O One whose Will prevails.
وَ يَا قَائِماً فَوْقَ خَلْقِهٖ
wa yā Qā’iman fawqa khalqihī
And O One who overpowers His creation.
وَ يَا حَائِلًا بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهٖ
wa yā Ḥā’ilan bayna al-mar’i wa qalbīhī
And O One who stands between the human and his heart.
حُلْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَ نَزْغِهٖ
Ḥul baynī wa bayna ash-Shayṭāni wa nazghihī
Create a barrier between me and the enemy (Shaitan) and his plots.
وَ بَيْنَ مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لِيْ بِهٖ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ
wa bayna mā lā ṭāqata lī bihī min aḥadin min 'ibādika
And create a barrier between me and anyone of your creation. This is anyone who causes me distress beyond my capability.
كُفَّ عَنِّي أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ
Kuffa 'annī alsinatahum
Protect me from the sayings of their tongues.
وَ اغْلُلْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَ أَرْجُلَهُمْ
wa aghlul aydiyahum wa arjulahum
And tie up their hands and legs.
وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا مِنْ نُوْرِ عَظَمَتِكَ
Wa aj'al baynī wa baynahum saddan min nūri 'aẓamatika
And create an occlusion between me and them. Use the Light of your Grandeur.
وَ حِجَابًا مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ
wa ḥijāban min qudratika
And use a covering (*hijab*) by Your Power.
وَ جُنْدًا مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ
wa jundan min sulṭānika
And use a protecting army from Your Kingdom.
إِنَّكَ حَيٌّ قَادِر
Innaka Ḥayyun Qādir.
Verily, you are Ever-Living, and The One with authority.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْشُ عَنِّيْ أَبْصَارَ النَّاظِرِيْنَ
Allāhumma ighshu 'annī abṣāra an-nāẓirīna
O Allah, hide me from sight of the onlookers.
حَتّٰى أَرُدَّ الْمَوَارِدَ
ḥattā arudda al-mawārida
This is until I reach my desired destiny.
وَ اغْشُ عَنِّي أَبْصَارَ النُّوْرِ
Wa ighshu 'annī abṣāra an-nūri
And hide me from the eyesight of the light.
وَ أَبْصَارَ الظُّلْمَةِ
wa abṣāra aẓ-ẓulmati
And the eyesight of the darkness.
حَتّٰى لَا أُبَالِيَ عَنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ
ḥattā lā ubāliya 'an abṣārihim
This is so that I may not give any relevance to their vision.
يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهٖ يَذْهَبُ بِالْأَبْصَارِ
Yakādu sanā barqihī yadhhabu bi-al-abṣār.
The flash of its lightning almost takes away the eye sight.
يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهَارَ
Yuqallibu Allāhu al-layla wa an-nahār.
Allah alternates the night and the day.
إِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِأُوْلِي الْأَبْصَارِ
Inna fī dhālika la-'ibratan li-ūlī al-abṣār.
Indeed in that is a lesson for those who have vision. (Surat An-Nur: 43-44).

كٓهٰيٰٓعٓصٓ
Kāf Hā Yā 'Ayn Ṣād.
Kaf, Ha, Ya, 'Ayn, Sad. (Surah Maryam: 1).
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Bismi Allāhi Ar-Raḥmāni Ar-Raḥīm.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
حٰمٓ عٓسٓقٓ
Ḥā Mīm 'Ayn Sīn Qāf.
Ha, Meem, 'Ayn, Seen, Qaaf. (Surah Ash-Shura: 1-2).
كَمَاءٍ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ
Ka-mā’in anzalnāhu mina as-samā’i
Its being is like the rain, which We send down from the sky.
فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهٖ نَبَاتُ الْأَرْضِ
fa-khalaṭa bihī nabātu al-arḍi
And the vegetation of the earth mingles with it.
فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيْمًا تَذْرُوْهُ الرِّيَاحُ
fa-aṣbaḥa hashīman tadhruhū ar-riyāḥ.
And then it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. (Surah Kahf: 45).
هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِيْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ
Huwa Allāhu alladhī lā ilāha illā Huwa
There is no God but Allah.
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهَادَةِ
'Ālimu al-ghaybi wa ash-shahādati
He is Knower of the unseen and witnessed.
هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ
Huwa Ar-Raḥmānu Ar-Raḥīm.
He is The Entirely Compassionate, The Especially Merciful. (Surah Hashr: 22).
يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ إِذِ الْقُلُوْبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِيْنَ
Yawma al-āzifati idh al-qulūbu ladā al-ḥanājiri kāẓimīn.
The approaching day, when hearts are at the throats, filled with distress.
مَا لِلظَّالِمِيْنَ مِنْ حَمِيْمٍ وَ لَا شَفِيْعٍ يُطَاعُ
Mā li-aẓ-ẓālimīna min ḥamīmin wa lā shafī'in yuṭā'.
For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor who is obeyed. (Surah Ghafir: 18).
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا أَحْضَرَتْ
'Alimat nafsun mā aḥḍarat.
A soul will then know what it has brought with it.
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ
Falā uqsimu bi-al-khunnas.
So I swear by the retreating stars.
الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ
al-Jawāri al-kunnas.
Those that run their courses and disappear.
وَ اللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
Wa al-layli idhā 'as'asa.
And by the night as it closes in.
وَ الصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّس
Wa aṣ-ṣubḥi idhā tanaffas.
And by the dawn when it breathes. (Surah Takweer: 14-18).
صٓ وَ الْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ
Ṣād. Wa al-Qur’āni dhī adh-dhikr.
Sad. By the Quran containing reminder.
بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِيْ عِزَّةٍ وَ شِقَاقٍ
Bali alladhīna kafarū fī 'izzatin wa shiqāq.
But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension. (Surah Sad: 1-2).
شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوْهُ
Shāhati al-wujūh.
The faces have become astonished.
شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوْهُ
Shāhati al-wujūh.
The faces have become astonished.
شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوْهُ
Shāhati al-wujūh.
The faces have become astonished.
وَ عَمِيَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ
Wa 'amiyati al-abṣāru
The eyes have become blinded.
وَ كَلَّتِ الْأَلْسُنُ
wa kallati al-alsunu
And the tongues have become tied.
اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَهُمْ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِمْ
Allāhumma ij'al khayrahum bayna 'aynayhim
O Allah, reveal their goodness between their eyes.
وَ شَرَّهُمْ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِمْ
wa sharrahum taḥta qadamayhim
And keep their evil below their feet.
وَ خَاتَمَ سُلَيْمَانَ بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِهِمْ
wa khātama Sulaymāna bayna aktāfihim
And allow the ring of Sulaiman to be between their shoulders.
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ
Fa-sa-yakfīkahumu Allāhu
For surely Allah will be sufficient for them.
وَ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ
wa Huwa as-Samī'u al-'Alīm.
And He is The All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهٖ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
Wa ṣallá Allāhu 'alá Muḥammadin wa ālihī ajma'īn.
And send blessings upon Muhammad and the holy progeny of Muhammad.

اللّٰهُمَّ يَا غَالِباً عَلٰى أَمْرِهٖ وَ يَا قَائِماً فَوْقَ خَلْقِهٖ وَ يَا حَائِلًا بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهٖ حُلْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَ نَزْغِهٖ وَ بَيْنَ مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لِيْ بِهٖ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ كُفَّ عَنِّي أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ وَ اغْلُلْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَ أَرْجُلَهُمْ وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا مِنْ نُوْرِ عَظَمَتِكَ وَ حِجَابًا مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ وَ جُنْدًا مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ إِنَّكَ حَيٌّ قَادِر
O Allah, O One whose Will prevails, and O One who overpowers His creation, and O One who stands between the human and his heart, create a barrier between me and the enemy (shaitan) and his plots, and create a barrier between me and anyone of your creation which causes me distress beyond my capability, protect me from the sayings of their tongues, and tie up their hands and legs and create an occlusion between me and them by the Light of your Grandeur and a covering (hijab) by your Power and a protecting army from your Kingdom, verily you are Ever-Living, and The One with authority
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْشُ عَنِّيْ أَبْصَارَ النَّاظِرِيْنَ حَتّٰى أَرُدَّ الْمَوَارِدَ وَ اغْشُ عَنِّي أَبْصَارَ النُّوْرِ وَ

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، اِحْتَجَبْتُ بِنُورِ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ الْقَديمِ الْكامِلِ، وَ تَحَصَّنْتُ بِحِصْنِ اللَّهِ الْقَوِيِّ الشَّامِلِ، وَ رَمَيْتُ مَنْ بَغى بِسَهْمِ اللَّهِ وَ سَيْفِهِ الْقاتِلِ.
اَللَّهُمَّ يا غالِباً عَلى اَمْرِهِ، وَ يا قائِماً فَوْقَ خَلْقِهِ، وَ يا حائِلاً بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهِ، حُلْ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْطانِ وَ نَزْغِهِ، وَ بَيْنَ ما لا طاقَةَ لي بِهِ مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبادِكَ، كُفَّ عَنّي اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ، وَ اغْلُلْ اَيْدِيَهُمْ وَ اَرْجُلَهُمْ، وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدّاً مِنْ نُورِ عَظَمَتِكَ، وَ حِجاباً مِنْ قُوَّتِكَ، وَ جُنْداً مِنْ سُلْطانِكَ، اِنَّكَ حَىٌّ قادِرٌ.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَغْشِ عَنّي اَبْصارَ النَّاظِرينَ حَتّى اَرِدَ الْمَوارِدَ، وَ اَغْشِ عَنّي اَبْصارَ النُّورِ وَ اَبْصارَ الظُّلْمَةِ وَ اَبْصارَ الْمُريدينَ بِيَ السُّوءَ، حَتّى لااُبالِيَ عَنْ اَبْصارِهِمْ، يَكادُ سَنابَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْاَبْصارِ، يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهارَ، اِنَّ في ذلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِاُولِي الْاَبْصارِ.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ كهيعص، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ حم عسق، ق ك(2)، كَماءٍ اَنْزَلْناهُ مِنَ السَّماءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَباتُ الْاَرْضِ فَاَصْبَحَ هَشيماً تَذْرُوهُ الرِّياحُ، ح ه، هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذي لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ هُوَ عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ هُوَ الرَّحْمنُ الرَّحيمُ، م ى، يَوْمَ الْاَزِفَةِ اِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَناجِرِ كاظِمينَ ما لِلظَّالِمينَ مِنْ حَميمٍ وَ لا شَفيعٍ يُطاعُ، ع ع، عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ ما اَحْضَرَتْ، فَلااُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ الْجَوارِ الْكُنَّسِ وَ اللَّيْلِ اِذا عَسْعَسَ وَ الصُّبْحِ اِذا تَنَفَّسَ، س ص، ص وَ الْقُرْانِ ذِى الذِّكْرِ بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَرُوا في عِزَّةٍ وَ شِقاقٍ، ق.
ثمّ تقول ثلاث مرّات:
شاهَتِ الْوُجُوهُ، وَ عَمِيَتِ الْاَبْصارُ، وَ كَلَّتِ الْاَلْسُنُ، جَعَلْتُ خَيْرَهُمْ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِمْ، وَ شَرَّهُمْ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِمْ، وَ خاتَمَ سُلَيْمانَ بَيْنَ اَكْتافِهِمْ، سُبْحانَ الْقادِرِ الْقاهِرِ الْكافي، فَسَيَكْفيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَ هُوَ السَّميعُ الْعَليمُ.
صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ وَ مَنْ اَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ صِبْغَةً، كهيعص اِكْفِنا، حم عسق اِحْمِنا وَ ارْحَمْنا، هُوَ اللَّهُ الْقادِرُ الْقاهِرُ، الْقَوِيُّ الْكافي، وَ جَعَلْنا مِنْ بَيْنِ اَيْديهِمْ سَدّاً وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدّاً فَاَغْشَيْناهُمْ فَهُمْ لايُبْصِرُونَ.
اُولئِكَ الَّذينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ سَمْعِهِمْ وَ اَبْصارِهِمْ وَ اُولئِكَ هُمُ الْغافِلُونَ، وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ اَجْمَعينَ الطَّيِّبينَ الطَّاهِرينَ، اِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمانَ وَ اِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، اَلاَّ تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَ أْتُوني مُسْلِمينَ.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تَقْضِيَ حاجَتي وَ تَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبي فَاِنَّهُ لايَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ اِلاَّ اَنْتَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ، وَ عَنَتِ الْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَىِّ الْقَيُّومِ وَ قَدْ خابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْماً، يا حَىُّ يا قَيُّومُ يا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَ الْاِكْرامِ.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، اِحْتَجَبْتُ بِنُورِ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ الْقَديمِ الْكامِلِ، وَ تَحَصَّنْتُ بِحِصْنِ اللَّهِ الْقَوِيِّ الشَّامِلِ، وَ رَمَيْتُ مَنْ بَغى بِسَهْمِ اللَّهِ وَ سَيْفِهِ الْقاتِلِ.
اَللَّهُمَّ يا غالِباً عَلى اَمْرِهِ، وَ يا قائِماً فَوْقَ خَلْقِهِ، وَ يا حائِلاً بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهِ، حُلْ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْطانِ وَ نَزْغِهِ، وَ بَيْنَ ما لا طاقَةَ لي بِهِ مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبادِكَ، كُفَّ عَنّي اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ، وَ اغْلُلْ اَيْدِيَهُمْ وَ اَرْجُلَهُمْ، وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدّاً مِنْ نُورِ عَظَمَتِكَ، وَ حِجاباً مِنْ قُوَّتِكَ، وَ جُنْداً مِنْ سُلْطانِكَ، اِنَّكَ حَىٌّ قادِرٌ.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَغْشِ عَنّي اَبْصارَ النَّاظِرينَ حَتّى اَرِدَ الْمَوارِدَ، وَ اَغْشِ عَنّي اَبْصارَ النُّورِ وَ اَبْصارَ الظُّلْمَةِ وَ اَبْصارَ الْمُريدينَ بِيَ السُّوءَ، حَتّى لااُبالِيَ عَنْ اَبْصارِهِمْ، يَكادُ سَنابَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْاَبْصارِ، يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهارَ، اِنَّ في ذلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِاُولِي الْاَبْصارِ.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ كهيعص، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ حم عسق، ق ك(2)، كَماءٍ اَنْزَلْناهُ مِنَ السَّماءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَباتُ الْاَرْضِ فَاَصْبَحَ هَشيماً تَذْرُوهُ الرِّياحُ، ح ه، هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذي لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ هُوَ عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ هُوَ الرَّحْمنُ الرَّحيمُ، م ى، يَوْمَ الْاَزِفَةِ اِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَناجِرِ كاظِمينَ ما لِلظَّالِمينَ مِنْ حَميمٍ وَ لا شَفيعٍ يُطاعُ، ع ع، عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ ما اَحْضَرَتْ، فَلااُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ الْجَوارِ الْكُنَّسِ وَ اللَّيْلِ اِذا عَسْعَسَ وَ الصُّبْحِ اِذا تَنَفَّسَ، س ص، ص وَ الْقُرْانِ ذِى الذِّكْرِ بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَرُوا في عِزَّةٍ وَ شِقاقٍ، ق.
ثمّ تقول ثلاث مرّات:
شاهَتِ الْوُجُوهُ، وَ عَمِيَتِ الْاَبْصارُ، وَ كَلَّتِ الْاَلْسُنُ، جَعَلْتُ خَيْرَهُمْ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِمْ، وَ شَرَّهُمْ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِمْ، وَ خاتَمَ سُلَيْمانَ بَيْنَ اَكْتافِهِمْ، سُبْحانَ الْقادِرِ الْقاهِرِ الْكافي، فَسَيَكْفيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَ هُوَ السَّميعُ الْعَليمُ.
صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ وَ مَنْ اَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ صِبْغَةً، كهيعص اِكْفِنا، حم عسق اِحْمِنا وَ ارْحَمْنا، هُوَ اللَّهُ الْقادِرُ الْقاهِرُ، الْقَوِيُّ الْكافي، وَ جَعَلْنا مِنْ بَيْنِ اَيْديهِمْ سَدّاً وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدّاً فَاَغْشَيْناهُمْ فَهُمْ لايُبْصِرُونَ.
اُولئِكَ الَّذينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ سَمْعِهِمْ وَ اَبْصارِهِمْ وَ اُولئِكَ هُمُ الْغافِلُونَ، وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ اَجْمَعينَ الطَّيِّبينَ الطَّاهِرينَ، اِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمانَ وَ اِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، اَلاَّ تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَ أْتُوني مُسْلِمينَ.
