Dua Ehtejab




Sayyid ibni Ta-us in Mahajul Da -wat writes many merits of this du-a'a. If this du-a'a is recited for a person in trance or unconsciousness or temporary insanity, he or she shall become normal. It is also recited to make a woman give birth to a living child if there were several miscarriages. To seek forgiveness of sins and to get enough sustenance, recite this du-a'a on 40 consecutive Fridays, after sunset.
سْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ يَا مَنِ احْتَجَبَ بِشُعَاعِ نُوْرِهٖ عَنْ نَوَاظِرِ خَلْقِهٖ
O Allah, truly, I beseech You. O He who is beyond the visual range of created beings on account of the splendor of His light.

يَا مَنْ تَسَرْبَلَ بِالْجَلَالِ وَ الْعَظَمَةِ وَ اشْتَهَرَ بِالتَّجَبُّرِ فِيْ قُدْسِهٖ
O he was demonstrates Himself through His majesty and might, and makes known His purity and holiness by doing good (to His creation).

يَا مَنْ تَعَالٰى بِالْجَلَالِ وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءِ فِي تَفَرُّدِ مَجْدِهٖ
O He who is high and exalted in glory and greatness, having no equal in distinction and eminence.

يَا مَنِ انْقَادَتِ الْاُمُوْرُ بِاَزِمَّتِهَا طَوْعًا لِاَمْرِهٖ
O He who separates the good from the bad, in all affairs, how much intricate or remote they may be, for readily they lay bare every secret, in no time, on receiving His command.

يَا مَنْ قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْاَرَضُوْنَ مُجِيْبَاتٌ لِدَعْوَتِهٖ
O He in answer to whose call stood firm the heavens and the earths.

يَا مَنْ زَيَّنَ السَّمَاءَ بِالنُّجُومِ الطَّالِعَةِ وَ جَعَلَهَا هَادِيَةً لِـخَلْقِهٖ
O He who made the skies more beautiful by decorating it with twinkling stars, also a (useful) guide for the people wandering in (darkness).

يَا مَنْ اَنَارَ الْقَمَرَ الْمُنِيرَ فِيْ سَوَادِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ بِلُطْفِهٖ يَا مَنْ اَنَارَ الشَّمْسَ الْمُنِيرَةَ وَ جَعَلَهَا مَعَاشًا لِخَلْقِهٖ وَ جَعَلَهَا مُفَرِّقَةً بَيْنَ اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ بِعَظَمَتِهٖ
O He who, very kindly, with delicate fineness, gave brightness to the moon, to spread soft light I the gloomy dark night.O He who filled the sun with radiating luminous energy, to make easy, for mankind, pursuit of economic activity, and also a sure sign, separating night form the day by His ever-dominating authority.

يَا مَنِ اسْتَوْجَبَ الشُّكْرَ بِنَشْرِ سَحَائِبِ نِعَمِهٖ
O He to who (alone) we must bow down to show gratitude in return of the inundating downpour of His favors and bounties.

سْاَلُكَ بِمَعَاقِدِ الْعِزِّ مِنْ عَرْشِكَ وَ مُنْتَهَى الرَّحْمَةِ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ وَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهٖ نَفْسَكَ اَوِ اسْتَاْثَرْتَ بِهٖ فِيْ عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ وَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ اَنْزَلْتَهٗ فِي كِتَابِكَ اَوْ اَثْبَتَّهٗ فِيْ قُلُوْبِ الصَّافِّيْنَ الْحَافِّيْنَ حَوْلَ عَرْشِكَ فَتَرَاجَعَتِ الْقُلُوْبُ اِلَى الصُّدُوْرِ عَنِ الْبَيَانِ بِاِخْلَاصِ الْوَحْدَانِيَّةِ وَ تَحْقِيْقِ الْفَرْدَانِيَّةِ مُقِرَّةً لَكَ بِالْعُبُوْدِيَّةِ
I beseech You, in the name of the intricate, strongly tied, hard to understand glory of Your arsh (seat of divine authority); (in the name of) the utmost mercy of Your book, and (in the name) of all names, which are Yours, (You) referred to Yourself, or You chose for Yourself, but kept in Your transcendental wisdom; (In the name of) all Your names, which are Yours, (You) revealed in Your book, or (those name which are) firmly and permanently learnt by heart by the pure ever prostrating (angles) all over Your arsh; and from their secret thoughts comes to the forefront sincere expression of unique and incomparable oneness of Allah (monotheism); and sure affirmation of Your singleness (without an equal), sharing together, with total submissiveness to You.

وَ اَنَّكَ اَنْتَ اللهُ اَنْتَ اللهُ اَنْتَ اللهُ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِالْاَسْمَاءِ الَّتِيْ تَجَلَّيْتَ بِهَا لِلْكَلِيْمِ عَلَى الْجَبَلِ الْعَظِيْمِ فَلَمَّا بَدَا شُعَاعُ نُوْرِ الْحُجُبِ مِنْ بَهَاءِ الْعَظَمَةِ خَرَّتِ الْجِبَالُ مُتَدَكْدِكَةً لِعَظَمَتِكَ وَ جَلَالِكَ وَ هَيْبَتِكَ وَ خَوْفًا مِنْ سَطْوَتِكَ رَاهِبَةً مِنْكَ فَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ فَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ فَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
Verily You are Allah. You are Allah. You are Allah. there is no god except You. And I beseech You, in name of Your names, through which You communicated to Kalim (Musa) on the celebrated mountain (tur).Thereafter the splendor of the unseeable light flashed magnificently, pulling down the mountain to ground level, breaking it into small pieces, (as if prostrating) before Your glory and majesty, and awe inspiring honour; trembling on account of Your omnipotent power; and frightsome, collapsing before You. Therefore, there is no god except You. There is no god except You.

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِيْ فَتَقْتَ بِهٖ رَتْقَ عَظِيْمِ جُفُوْنِ عُيُوْنِ النَّاظِرِيْنَ الَّذِيْ بِهٖ تَدْبِيْرُ حِكْمَتِكَ وَ شَوَاهِدُ حُجَجِ اَنْبِيَائِكَ يَعْرِفُوْنَكَ بِفِطَنِ الْقُلُوْبِ وَ اَنْتَ فِيْ غَوَامِضِ مُسَرَّاتِ سَرِيْرَاتِ الْغُيُوْبِ
And I beseech You, in the name of Your name, by which You partitioned the eyebrows of the eyes of on-lookers (to open the eyes and see), and by which You lets Your wisdom operate, and the proofs with which Your prophets made known the truth, whose minds and hearts were aware of Your being, while You are hidden in the secret stations of the innermost seclusion.

اَسْاَلُكَ بِعِزَّةِ ذٰلِكَ الْاِسْمِ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَنْ تَصْرِفَ عَنِّيْ جَمِيْعَ الْآفَاتِ وَ الْعَاهَاتِ وَ الْاَعْرَاضِ وَ الْاَمْرَاضِ وَ الْخَطَايَا وَ الذُّنُوْبِ وَ الشَّكِّ وَ الشِّرْكِ وَ الْكُفْرِ وَ النِّفَاقِ وَ الشِّقَاقِ وَ الْغَضَبِ وَ الْجَهْلِ وَ الْمَقْتِ وَ الضَّلَالَةِ وَ الْعُسْرِ وَ الضِّيْقِ وَ فَسَادِ الضَّمِيْرِ وَ حُلُوْلِ النَّقِمَةِ وَ شَمَاتَةِ الْاَعْدَاءِ وَ غَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
I beseech You, in the name of this particular name, to send blessings on Muhammad on the children of Muhammad, and send away from me, and from other suffering people, and from all the believing men and women, all frustrations, infirmities, accidents, diseases, errors, sins, doubts, polytheism, infidelity, rebellion, hypocrisy, destruction, ill-will, ignorance, anger, hardship, distress, corruption of conscience, impeding revenge, hostility of the enemies, subjugation to the cruel tyrants.

اِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ لَطِيفٌ لِمَا تَشَاءُ وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
Verily You hear supplications, and is kind as much as You will, O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.






SECOND Dua

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. 

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the household of Muhammad, 

احْتَجَبْتُ بِنُورِ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ الْقَدِيمِ الْكَامِلِ
I seek covering protection by the light of Allah, The Eternal, The Perfect 

وَ تَحَصَّنْتُ بِحِصْنِ اللَّهِ الْقَوِيِّ الشَّامِلِ وَ رَمَيْتُ مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ بِسَهْمِ اللَّهِ وَ سَيْفِهِ الْقَاتِل
And I seek to be entrenched by the haven of Allah, The Powerful, The Flawless I strike the (enemy) who attacks me by the arrow of Allah and His lethal sword  

 اللّٰهُمَّ يَا غَالِباً عَلٰى أَمْرِهٖ وَ يَا قَائِماً فَوْقَ خَلْقِهٖ وَ يَا حَائِلًا بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهٖ حُلْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَ نَزْغِهٖ وَ بَيْنَ مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لِيْ بِهٖ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ كُفَّ عَنِّي أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ وَ اغْلُلْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَ أَرْجُلَهُمْ وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا مِنْ نُوْرِ عَظَمَتِكَ وَ حِجَابًا مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ وَ جُنْدًا مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ إِنَّكَ حَيٌّ قَادِر 
O Allah, O One whose Will prevails, and O One who overpowers His creation, and O One who stands between the human and his heart, create a barrier between me and the enemy (shaitan) and his plots, and create a barrier between me and anyone of your creation which causes me distress beyond my capability,  protect me from the sayings of their tongues, and tie up their hands and legs and create an occlusion between me and them by the Light of your Grandeur and a covering (hijab) by your Power and a protecting army from your Kingdom, verily you are Ever-Living, and The One with authority 

 اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْشُ عَنِّيْ أَبْصَارَ النَّاظِرِيْنَ حَتّٰى أَرُدَّ الْمَوَارِدَ وَ اغْشُ عَنِّي أَبْصَارَ النُّوْرِ وَ
O Allah, hide me from sight of the onlookers until I reach my desired destiny, and from the eyesight of the light and darkness so that I may not give any relevance to their vision.  

َ      أبْصَارَ الظُّلْمَةِ حَتّٰى لَا أُبَالِيَ عَنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهٖ يَذْهَبُ بِالْأَبْصَارِ يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهَارَ إِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِأُوْلِي الْأَبْصَارِ 
The flash of its lightning almost takes away the eye sight. Allah alternates the night and the day. Indeed in that is a lesson for those who have vision.ï (surat al-noor: 43-44) 

 
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ كٓهٰيٰٓعٓصٓ
Bism Allah Ar-Rahman, A-Raheem. Kaf, Ha, Ya, ïAyn, Sad.ï (surah Maryam: 1) 

 بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ حٰمٓ عٓسٓقٓ
Bism Allah Ar-Rahman, A-Raheem. Ha, Meem, ïAyn, Seen, Qaaf.ï (surah ash-shuraïa: 1-2) 

كَمَاءٍ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهٖ نَبَاتُ الْأَرْضِ فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيْمًا تَذْرُوْهُ الرِّيَاحُ هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِيْ
Its being is like the rain, which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and then it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the windsï (surah kahf: 45) 

 لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهَادَةِ هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ
There is no God but Allah, Knower of the unseen and witnessed, He is The Entirely Compassionate, The Especially Mercifulï (surah hashr: 22) 

يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ إِذِ الْقُلُوْبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِيْنَ مَا لِلظَّالِمِيْنَ مِنْ حَمِيْمٍ وَ لَا شَفِيْعٍ يُطَاعُ
The approaching day, when hearts are at the throats, filled with (distress). For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor (who is) obeyed.ï (surah ghafir: 18) 

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا أَحْضَرَتْ فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ وَ اللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ وَ الصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّس
A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. So I swear by the retreating stars ï Those that run [their courses] and disappear ï And by the night as it closes in- and by the dawn when it breathes. (surah takweer: 14-18)

صٓ وَ الْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِيْ عِزَّةٍ وَ شِقَاقٍ شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوْهُ شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوْهُ شَاهَتِ الْوُجُوْهُ وَ عَمِيَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ وَ كَلَّتِ الْأَلْسُنُ   
Sad. By the Quran containing reminder... but those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension.ï (surah sad: 1-2)The faces have become astonished, the face have become astonished, the faces have become astonished, the eyes have become blinded, and the tongues have become tied 

اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَهُمْ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِمْ وَ شَرَّهُمْ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِمْ وَ خَاتَمَ سُلَيْمَانَ بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِهِمْ فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهٖ أَجْمَعِيْنَ 
O Allah, reveal their goodness between their eyes and keep their evil below their feet and allow the ring of Sulaiman to be between their shoulders for surely Allah will be sufficient for them and He is The All-Hearing, All-Knowing, and send blessings upon Muhammad and the holy progeny of Muhammad.

دعاؤه في الاحتجاب
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، اِحْتَجَبْتُ بِنُورِ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ الْقَديمِ الْكامِلِ، وَ تَحَصَّنْتُ بِحِصْنِ اللَّهِ الْقَوِيِّ الشَّامِلِ، وَ رَمَيْتُ مَنْ بَغى بِسَهْمِ اللَّهِ وَ سَيْفِهِ الْقاتِلِ.
اَللَّهُمَّ يا غالِباً عَلى اَمْرِهِ، وَ يا قائِماً فَوْقَ خَلْقِهِ، وَ يا حائِلاً بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهِ، حُلْ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْطانِ وَ نَزْغِهِ، وَ بَيْنَ ما لا طاقَةَ لي بِهِ مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبادِكَ، كُفَّ عَنّي اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ، وَ اغْلُلْ اَيْدِيَهُمْ وَ اَرْجُلَهُمْ، وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدّاً مِنْ نُورِ عَظَمَتِكَ، وَ حِجاباً مِنْ قُوَّتِكَ، وَ جُنْداً مِنْ سُلْطانِكَ، اِنَّكَ حَىٌّ قادِرٌ.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَغْشِ عَنّي اَبْصارَ النَّاظِرينَ حَتّى اَرِدَ الْمَوارِدَ، وَ اَغْشِ عَنّي اَبْصارَ النُّورِ وَ اَبْصارَ الظُّلْمَةِ وَ اَبْصارَ الْمُريدينَ بِيَ السُّوءَ، حَتّى لااُبالِيَ عَنْ اَبْصارِهِمْ، يَكادُ سَنابَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْاَبْصارِ، يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهارَ، اِنَّ في ذلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِاُولِي الْاَبْصارِ.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ كهيعص، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ حم عسق، ق ك(2)، كَماءٍ اَنْزَلْناهُ مِنَ السَّماءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَباتُ الْاَرْضِ فَاَصْبَحَ هَشيماً تَذْرُوهُ الرِّياحُ، ح ه، هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذي لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ هُوَ عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ هُوَ الرَّحْمنُ الرَّحيمُ، م ى، يَوْمَ الْاَزِفَةِ اِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَناجِرِ كاظِمينَ ما لِلظَّالِمينَ مِنْ حَميمٍ وَ لا شَفيعٍ يُطاعُ، ع ع، عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ ما اَحْضَرَتْ، فَلااُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ الْجَوارِ الْكُنَّسِ وَ اللَّيْلِ اِذا عَسْعَسَ وَ الصُّبْحِ اِذا تَنَفَّسَ، س ص، ص وَ الْقُرْانِ ذِى الذِّكْرِ بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَرُوا في عِزَّةٍ وَ شِقاقٍ، ق.

ثمّ تقول ثلاث مرّات:
شاهَتِ الْوُجُوهُ، وَ عَمِيَتِ الْاَبْصارُ، وَ كَلَّتِ الْاَلْسُنُ، جَعَلْتُ خَيْرَهُمْ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِمْ، وَ شَرَّهُمْ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِمْ، وَ خاتَمَ سُلَيْمانَ بَيْنَ اَكْتافِهِمْ، سُبْحانَ الْقادِرِ الْقاهِرِ الْكافي، فَسَيَكْفيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَ هُوَ السَّميعُ الْعَليمُ.
صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ وَ مَنْ اَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ صِبْغَةً، كهيعص اِكْفِنا، حم عسق اِحْمِنا وَ ارْحَمْنا، هُوَ اللَّهُ الْقادِرُ الْقاهِرُ، الْقَوِيُّ الْكافي، وَ جَعَلْنا مِنْ بَيْنِ اَيْديهِمْ سَدّاً وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدّاً فَاَغْشَيْناهُمْ فَهُمْ لايُبْصِرُونَ.
اُولئِكَ الَّذينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ سَمْعِهِمْ وَ اَبْصارِهِمْ وَ اُولئِكَ هُمُ الْغافِلُونَ، وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ اَجْمَعينَ الطَّيِّبينَ الطَّاهِرينَ، اِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمانَ وَ اِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ، اَلاَّ تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَ أْتُوني مُسْلِمينَ.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تَقْضِيَ حاجَتي وَ تَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبي فَاِنَّهُ لايَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ اِلاَّ اَنْتَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ، وَ عَنَتِ الْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَىِّ الْقَيُّومِ وَ قَدْ خابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْماً، يا حَىُّ يا قَيُّومُ يا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَ الْاِكْرامِ.
