and I turn to You in his name; |

so, (please) make me of high regard with You |

in this world and the Hereafter, |

and of those drawn near to You, |

and my supplication to be responded. |
innaka anta alghafru alrrahmu |
You are verily the All-forgiving, the All-merciful. |
It is highly recommended to recite the Adhan & Iqamah before daily wajib prayers .
In between the Adhan & Iqamah one may make one sijdah & say :Sajadto laka Khazein Khashia Zaleel ,.
Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) said: If anyone recites this in the prostration between Azaan and Iqamah ,Then Allah calls out O my angels, I swear by my Might and Honor! I will put in his love in the hearts of the believers and awe in the hearts of the hypocrites.(Wasaekush Shia, Vol.5, Pg.400)
Then sit & recite recite this dua & ask for ones wishes as wishes sought between Adhan & iqamah are not rejected
"Oh Allah make my heart gentle, my actions a
source of pleasure, my life prosperous, and give me continued sustenance and make my children righteous, and fix for me a place near the grave of your Messenger Muhammad (May the prayers & salutations of Allah be on him & his family.) a place of stay & rest (grant me all of this) through Your Mercy O the Most Merciful One of those who are able to show mercy"

1) Dua
Before Takbeeratul Ehram
Before uttering the Takbeeratul Ehraam, it is worthy that he recites the
invocation of attention (doa-e-tawajjoh) which, in the narration of Abdullah Ibn Jafar Himyari (received in the tawqee of Imam-e-Zamana (a.t.f.s.) is as
follows:
I turn my face towards the One Who has created the heavens and the earth, being upright and submissive, on the nation of Ibrahim and the nation of Muhammad and the guidance of Ameerul Momineen. And I am not of the polytheists. Surely, my prayers, my sacrifice, my life and my death are (only) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. There is no partner unto Him. And thus have I been commanded. And I am from those who submit. O Allah! Make me from those who submit. |
(Al-Ehtejaaj, vol. 2, p.7; Wasaaelush Shia, vol. 6, p.25)
|
|
How great it is if somebody utters these words, synchronizes his heart with his tongue, and gives his words a practical shape in its truest sense, really turns his heart towards Allah, and removes all other thoughts from his mind. Yes! How good indeed is the servant who, at any given moment of his life, does not do anything or commit any deed against the wishes of his Master and Lord and even goes to the extent of dying in His cause. If at all he does commit some sin or transgression, he immediately begs Him for forgiveness and seeks His refuge. May Allah make us, and all the friends of the Ahle Bait (a.s.), from those who submit to His wishes and may He not turn His attention away from us even for a moment.
(2) It is recommended that "before Takbiratul Ehram with Niyat of 'Rija'" a person should say this:
O Lord Who are Beneficent! This
sinful has come before You and You have ordered the charitable
to show indulgence to the sinners. You are Beneficent, and I am
a sinner. Bestow Your blessings on Muhammad and his progeny, and
pardon my evil acts of which You are aware.

allhumma ilayka tawajjahtu |
O Allah, to You have I turned my face, |

wa l tuzigh qalb ba`da idh hadaytan |
make not my hearts to deviate after You have guided me aright, |
wa hab l min ladunka rahmatan |
and grant me from You mercy. |
innaka anta alwahhbu |
Surely, You are the most liberal Giver. |
First: Imam al-diq (`a) is reported to have said: Imam `Al Amr al-Mu'minn (`a) used to say: Whoever says these words, will be added to the group of Muhammad and his Household:
Before commencing a ritual prayer, the following prayer may be said:
allhumma inn atawajjah ilayka bimuhammadin wa li muhammadin |
O Allah, I turn my face towards You in the name of Muhammad and Muhammads Household, |
wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday alawt |
present them before You before I begin my prayers, |
wa ataqarrabu bihim ilayka |
and seek nearness to You in their names. |
faj`aln bihim wajhan |
So, in their names, (please) make me of high regard with You |
f aldduny wal-khirati |
in this world and the Hereafter |
wa min almuqarrabna |
and of those drawn near to You. |
mananta `alayya bima`rifatihim |
You have endued me with the great favor of making me know them; |
fakhtim l bi`atihim |
so, (please) seal my life with obedience to them, |
wa ma`rifatihim wa wilyatihim |
recognition of them, and loyalty to them, |
fa'innah alssa`datu |
because this is the true happiness. |
wakhtim l bih |
Therefore, (please) seal my life with these things, |
fa'innaka `al kulli shay'in qadrun |
for You have power over all things. |
Upon accomplishment of the prayer, the following prayer may be said:
allhumma ij`aln ma`a muhammadin wa li muhammadin |
O Allah, (please) make me with Muhammad and Muhammads Household |
f kulli `fiyatin wa bal'in |
in every item of wellbeing and tribulation |
waj`aln ma`a muhammadin wa li muhammadin |
and make me with Muhammad and Muhammads Household |
f kulli mathwan wa munqalabin |

allhumma ij`al mahyya mahyhum |
O Allah, (please) make me live their lives |
wa mamt mamtahum |
and die their death, |
waj`aln ma`ahum f almawini kullih |
include me with them in all situations, |
wa l tufarriq bayn wa baynahum |
and do not depart me from them. |
innaka `al kulli shay'in qadrun |
Verily, You have power over all things. |
Second: afwn al-Jamml is reported to have said: I was once with Imam al-diq (`a). He directed his face towards the kiblah direction (for performing a prayer) and said the following prayer before he uttered the takbrah al-ihrm statement (i.e. the commencing statement of the ritual prayers):
allhumma l tu'yisn min rawhika |
O Allah, (please) do not make me despair of Your soothing mercy, |
wa l tuqannin min rahmatika |
do not make me lose hope of Your mercy, |
wa l tu'minn makraka |
and do not make me feel secure against Your plans, |
fa'innah l ya'manu makra allhi ill alqawmu alkhsirna |
for none feels secure against Allahs plans except the losing people. |
Abdul Rahman Ibn Najraan narrates on the authority of Imam Reza (a.s.) that he (a.s.) advised to recite this supplication everyday between Iqamah and Salaat:
O Allah! Lord of this perfect supplication and established prayer, assign to Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his progeny, the rank, right of mediation, excellence, and advantage. With Allah do I commence, from Allah do I seek success, and in the name of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his progeny, do I turn my face (towards Allah). O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, and, in their names, make me worthy of regard in this world and in the Hereafter, and of those drawn near to You.[1] |

1.Falaah al-Saael, p. 155; Mustadrak al-Wasaael, vol. 4, p. 123; Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 84, p. 375
You may now prepare yourself for performing the prayer. You must have heart presence and pay attention to your prayer, by considering the humiliation of your situation and the all-greatness and majesty of your Lord to whom you are talking in your prayer. Behave as is you can see Him in front of you and be ashamed of talking to Him with your tongue while your heart is preoccupied by another thing. You may then stand up with respect and reverence, putting your two hands on your thighs opposite to your knees. Separate between your two feet in an amount of three fingers up to one span. Cast your sight on the place of your prostration. You may then intend to perform this Dawn Prayer for seeking nearness to Allah the Exalted. Then, say the Takbrat al-Ihrm statement (saying: allhu-akbar Allah is the Greatest; the introductory statement to prayer). It is recommended to add statements of Takbr (i.e. professing Almighty Allah being the greatest) to it, at each one of which, you may raise your hands to reach the level of the lower part of your ear, turning the palms of your hand towards the kiblah direction. Try to make all your fingers, except the thumb, stick to one another, but not open. You may now say the supplications of the Takbr statements, which are as follows:
After the third Takbr statement, you may say the following:
allhumma anta almaliku alhaqqu almubnu |
O Allah, You are verily the King and the Manifest Truth. |
l ilha ill anta subhnaka |
There is no god save You. All glory be to You. |
inn alamtu nafs |
I have wronged myself; |
faghfir l dhanb |
so, (please) forgive my sin. |
innah l yaghfiru aldhdhunba ill anta |
Verily, none can forgive sins save You. |
After the fifth Takbr statement, you may say the following:
labbayka wa sa`dayka |
Here I am responding to You and here I am trying to please You. |
walkhayru f yadayka |
All goodness is at Your Hand. |
walshsharru laysa ilayka |
Evil is never ascribed to You. |
walmahdiyyu man hadayta |
A true guided is he whom You guide. |
`abduka wabnu `abdayka |
I, Your servant and the son of Your two servants, |
dhallun bayna yadayka |
am standing in submission before You, |
minka wa bika wa laka wa ilayka |
and I am from You, through You, to You, and for You. |
l malja'a wa l manj |
There is neither haven nor shelter |
wa l mafarra minka ill ilayka |
nor escape from You except with You. |
subhnaka wa hannayka |
All glory be to You; I am seeking Your kindness. |
tabrakta wa ta`layta |
Blessed You are and Exalted You are. |
subhnaka rabba albayti alharmi |
All glory be to You, O Lord of the Sacred House. |
After the seventh Takbr statement, you may say the following:
wajjahtu wajhiya lilladh faara alssamwti wal-ara |
I have turned myself to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth, |
`limi alghaybi walshshahdati |
the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, |
hanfan musliman |
[and I am] upright and Muslim |
wa m ana min almushrikna |
and I am not of the polytheists. |
inna alt wa nusuk |
Surely, my prayer, my sacrifice, |
wa mahyya wa mamt |
my life, and my death |
lillhi rabbi al`lamna |
are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. |
l sharka lah |
No associate has He; |
wa bidhlika umirtu |
and this am I commanded, |
wa ana min almuslimna |
and I am of those who submit. |
Before you begin with the recitation (qir'ah: reciting certain Qur'nic chapters in the prayers), you may say the statement of seeking protection (isti`dhah) in a low tone:
a`dhu billhi min alshshayni alrrajmi |
I pray Allahs protection from Satan, the accursed. |
