Ziyarah of Imam Ali (as) on 17th Rabiul Awwal
Recited on birth date of the Holy Prophet(saws)
Importance
There is high recommendation on visiting the holy tomb of Imam `Ali (peace be upon him) on occasions related to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) such as his birthday & Besat.This is because of the firm connection between these two great individuals and because of the perfect union between these two personalities.
Al-Shahid, Shaykh a-Mufid, and Sayyid Ibn Tawus—all those have reported that Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) visited the holy tomb of Imam `Ali Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) on the seventeenth of Rabi` al-Awwal, which is the birthday of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings upon him and his family), with the following form of ziyarah:
Teaching the lofty, trustworthy scholar Muhammad ibn Muslim al-Thaqafi, Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said :
When you approach the holy shrine of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him), you may first wash yourself before visiting, put on the cleanest of your clothes, use a perfume, and walk towards the shrine with tranquility.
When you stop at the door of peace (bab al-salam), which is the gate of the holy shrine, you may face the kiblah direction and repeat three times:
اَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
allahu akbar
Allah is the Most Great.


You may then say the following:
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `ala rasuli allahi
Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ خِيَرَةِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `ala khiyarati allahi
Peace be upon the elite select of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْبَشِيرِ ٱلنَّذِيرِ
alssalamu `ala albashiri alnnadhiri
Peace be upon the bearer of glad tidings, the warner (against Allah’s chastisement),

ٱلسِّرَاجِ ٱلْمُنِيرِ
alssiraji almuniri
and the shining lantern.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلطُّهْرِ ٱلطَّاهِرِ
alssalamu `ala alttuhri alttahiri
Peace be upon the pure, the immaculate.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْعَلَمِ ٱلزَّاهِرِ
alssalamu `ala al`alami alzzahiri
Peace be upon the luminous epitome.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمَنْصُورِ ٱلْمُؤَيَّدِ
alssalamu `ala almansuri almu'ayyadi
Peace be upon the one given victory and aid (by Almighty Allah).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ أَبِي ٱلْقَاسِمِ مُحَمَّدٍ
alssalamu `ala abi alqasimi muhammadin
Peace be upon Abu’l-Qasim Muhammad.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ أَنْبِيَاءِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
alssalamu `ala anbiya'i allahi almursalina
Peace be upon the missioned Prophets of Allah

وَعِبَادِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ
wa `ibadi allahi alssalihina
and upon the righteous servants of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مَلاَئِكَةِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `ala mala'ikati allahi
Peace be upon the angels of Allah

ٱلْحَافِّينَ بِهٰذَا ٱلْحَرَمِ
alhaffina bihadha alharami
who surround this sanctuary

وَبِهٰذَا ٱلضَّرِيحِ ٱللاَّئِذِينَ بِهِ
wa bihadha alddarihi alla'idhina bihi
and this tomb to which they are resorting.

You may then approach the tomb and say the following:
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيِّ ٱلأَوْصِيَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya wasiyya al-awsiya'i
Peace be upon you, O successor of the Prophets’ successors.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عِمَادَ ٱلأَتْقِيَاءِ
alssalamm `alayka ya `imada al-atqiya'i
Peace be upon you, O reliance of the pious ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱلأَوْلِيَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya waliyya al-awliya'i
Peace be upon you, O best saint among all saints.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya sayyida alshshuhada'i
Peace be upon you, O master of martyrs.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا آيَةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعُظْمَىٰ
alssalamu `alayka ya ayata allahi al`uzma
Peace be upon you, O grandest sign of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَامِسَ أَهْلِ ٱلْعَبَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya khamisa ahli al`aba'i
Peace be upon you, O fifth of the People of the Cloak.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَائِدَ ٱلْغُرِّ ٱلْمُحَجَّلِينَ ٱلأَتْقِيَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya qa'ida alghurri almuhajjalina al-atqiya'i
Peace be upon you, O leader of the white-forehead, pious group.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عِصْمَةَ ٱلأَوْلِيَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya `ismata al-awliya'i
Peace be upon you, O shelter of the saints.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا زَيْنَ ٱلْمُوَحِّدِينَ ٱلنُّجَبَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya zayna almuwahhidina alnnujaba'i
Peace be upon you, O adornment of the noble monotheists.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَالِصَ ٱلأَخِلاَّءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya khalisa al-akhilla'i
Peace be upon you, O select of the best friends.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَالِدَ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلأُمَنَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya walida al-a'immati al-umana'i
Peace be upon you, O father of the trusted Imams.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ ٱلْحَوْضِ وَحَامِلَ ٱللِّوَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya sahiba alhawdi wa hamila alliwa'i
Peace be upon you, O director of the (Divine) pond and bearer of the Pennon.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَسِيمَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَلَظَىٰ
alssalamu `alayka ya qasima aljannati wa laza
Peace be upon you, O decider of Paradise and Hellfire—the flaming.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ شُرِّفَتْ بِهِ مَكَّةُ وَمِنَىٰ
alssalamu `alayka ya man shurrifat bihi makkatu wa mina
Peace be upon you, O one by whom Makkah and Mina have been honored.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَحْرَ ٱلْعُلُومِ وَكَنَفَ ٱلْفُقَرَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya bahra al`ulumi wa kanafa alfuqara'i
Peace be upon you, O ocean of knowledge and haven of the poor.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ وُلِدَ فِي ٱلْكَعْبَةِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man wulida fi alka`bati
Peace be upon you, O one who was born in the Ka`bah,

وَزُوِّجَ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ بِسَيِّدَةِ ٱلنِّسَاءِ
wa zuwwija fi alssama'i bisayyidati alnnisa'i
married in the heavens to the Doyenne of Women;

وَكَانَ شُهُودَهَا ٱلْمَلائِكَةُ ٱلأَصْفِيَاءُ
wa kana shuhudaha almala'ikatu al-asfiya'u
and the witnesses were the elite angels.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِصْبَاحَ ٱلضِّيَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya misbaha alddiya'i
Peace be upon you, O lantern of light.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ خَصَّهُ ٱلنَّبِيُّ بِجَزِيلِ ٱلْحِبَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man khassahu alnnabiyyu bijazili alhiba'i
Peace be upon you, O one whom was exclusively awarded abundant favors by the Prophet.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ بَاتَ عَلَىٰ فِرَاشِ خَاتَمِ ٱلأَنْبِيَاءِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man bata `ala firashi khatami al-anbiya'i
Peace be upon you, O one who replaced the Seal of the Prophets in his bed

وَوَقَاهُ بِنَفْسِهِ شَرَّ ٱلأَعْدَاءِ
wa waqahu binafsihi sharra al-a`da'i
and protected him with his soul against the evil of the enemies.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ رُدَّتْ لَهُ ٱلشَّمْسُ
alssalamu `alayka ya man ruddat lahu alshshamsu
Peace be upon you, O one to whom the sun was returned

فَسَامَىٰ شَمْعُونَ ٱلصَّفَا
fasama sham`una alssafa
and he thus became the match of Sham`un al-Safa (Simon the Zealot).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ أَنْجَىٰ ٱللَّهُ سَفِينَةَ نُوحٍ بِٱسْمِهِ وَٱسْمِ أَخِيهِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man anja allahu safinata nuhin bismihi wasmi akhihi
Peace be upon you, O one in whose name and in the name of whose brother, Allah saved the Ark of Noah

حَيْثُ ٱلْتَطَمَ ٱلْمَاءُ حَوْلَهَا وَطَمَىٰ
haythu iltatama alma'u hawlaha wa tama
when the waves of water collided and clashed around it.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِ وَبِأَخِيهِ عَلَىٰ آدَمَ إِذْ غَوَىٰ
alssalamu `alayka ya man taba allahu bihi wa bi-akhihi `ala adama idh ghawa
Peace be upon you, O one in whose name and in the name of whose brother, Allah accepted the repentance of Adam after he had allowed himself to be seduced.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا فُلْكَ ٱلنَّجَاةِ
alssalamu `alayka ya fulka alnnajati
Peace be upon you, O ark of redemption;

ٱلَّذِي مَنْ رَكِبَهُ نَجَا
alladhi man rakibahu naja
he who embarks on it will have saved himself (from perdition),

وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ عَنْهُ هَوَىٰ
wa man ta'akhkhara `anhu hawa
but he who leaves it will have perished.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ خَاطَبَ ٱلثُّعْبَانَ وَذِئْبَ ٱلْفَلاَ
alssalamu `alayka ya man khataba alththu`bana wa dhi'ba alfala
Peace be upon you, O he who spoke to a serpent and to a wolf in the desert.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya amira almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O commander of the faithful.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَنْ كَفَرَ وَأَنَابَ
alssalamu `alayka ya hujjata allahi `ala man kafara wa anaba
Peace be upon you, O argument of Allah against both those who disbelieved and those who believed.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ ذَوِي ٱلأَلْبَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ya imama dhawi al-albabi
Peace be upon you, O chief of people of understanding.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَعْدِنَ الْحِكْمَةِ وَفَصْلَ ٱلْخِطَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ya ma`dina alhikmati wa fasla alkhitabi
Peace be upon you, O essence of wisdom and clear judgment.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ ٱلْكِتَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man `indahu `ilmu alkitabi
Peace be upon you, O one having the knowledge of the Books.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِيزَانَ يَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ya mizana yawmi alhisabi
Peace be upon you, O criterion on the Judgment Day.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا فَاصِلَ ٱلْحُكْمِ ٱلنَّاطِقَ بِٱلصَّوَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ya fasila alhukmi alnnatiqa bilssawabi
Peace be upon you, O solver of all quarrels and spokesman of truth.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُتَصَدِّقُ بِٱلْخَاتَمِ فِي ٱلْمِحْرَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ayyuha almutasaddiqu bilkhatami fi almihrabi
Peace be upon you, O he who gave his ring as alms while being in the prayer niche.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ كَفَىٰ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya man kafa allahu almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O he through whom Allah sufficed the believers

ٱلْقِتَالَ بِهِ يَوْمَ ٱلأَحْزَابِ
alqitala bihi yawma al-ahzabi
in fighting on the Battle of al-Ahzab (the Allies).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ أَخْلَصَ لِلَّهِ ٱلْوَحْدَانِيَّةَ وَأَنَابَ
alssalamu `alayka ya man akhlasa lillahi alwahdaniyyata wa anaba
Peace be upon you, O he who worshipped Allah alone with sincerity and always turned to Him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَاتِلَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَالِعَ ٱلْبَابِ
alssalamu `alayka ya qatila khaybara wa qali`a albabi
Peace be upon you, O warrior of Khaybar and plucker of the gate (of the fortress).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ دَعَاهُ خَيْرُ ٱلأَنَامِ لِلْمَبِيتِ عَلَىٰ فِرَاشِهِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man da`ahu khayru al-anami lilmabiti `ala firashihi
Peace be upon you, O one who, when the Best of Creatures (i.e. the Prophet) ordered him to spend that night at his place instead of him,

فَأَسْلَمَ نَفْسَهُ لِلْمَنِيَّةِ وَأَجَابَ
fa'aslama nafsahu lilmaniyyati wa ajaba
submitted to death and responded.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ لَهُ طُوبَىٰ وَحُسْنُ مَآبٍ
alssalamu `alayka ya man lahu tuba wa husnu ma'abin
Peace be upon you, O he to whom is Tuba (bliss) and goodly return are decided.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ عِصْمَةِ ٱلدِّينِ وَيَا سَيِّدَ ٱلسَّادَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya waliyya `ismati alddini wa ya sayyida alssadati
Peace be upon you, O director of the safety of the religion and chief of the chiefs.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ ٱلْمُعْجِزَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya sahiba almu`jizati
Peace be upon you, O owner of miracles.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ نَزَلَتْ فِي فَضْلِهِ سُورَةُ ٱلْعَادِيَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man nazalat fi fadlihi suratu al`adiyati
Peace be upon you, O he about whose merits Surah al-`ªdiyat was revealed.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ كُتِبَ ٱسْمُهُ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ عَلَىٰ ٱلسُّرَادِقَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man kutiba ismuhu fi alssama'i `ala alssuradiqati
Peace be upon you, O he whose name is written in the heavens on the canopies (of the Divine Throne).

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُظْهِرَ ٱلْعَجَائِبِ وَٱلآيَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya muzhira al`aja'ibi wal-ayati
Peace be upon you, O manifester of marvels and signs.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ ٱلْغَزَوَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya amira alghazawati
Peace be upon you, O commander in campaigns.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُخْبِراً بِمَا غَبَرَ وَبِمَا هُوَ آتٍ
alssalamu `alayka ya mukhbiran bima ghabara wa bima huwa atin
Peace be upon you, O he who accounted the bygone and predicted the future.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُخَاطِبَ ذِئْبِ ٱلْفَلَوَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya mukhatiba dhi'bi alfalawati
Peace be upon you, O speaker to a wolf in the desert.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتِمَ ٱلْحَصَىٰ وَمُبَيِّنَ ٱلْمُشْكِلاَتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya khatima alhasa wa mubayyina almushkilati
Peace be upon you, O reckoner of pebbles and expounder of problems.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عَجِبَتْ مِنْ حَمَلاتِهِ فِي ٱلْوَغَىٰ مَلائِكَةُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man `ajibat min hamalatihi fi alwagha mala'ikatu alssamawati
Peace be upon you, O he whose attacks in battlefields astonished the angels in the heavens.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ نَاجَىٰ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدَّمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوَاهُ ٱلصَّدَقَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man naja alrrasula faqaddama bayna yaday najwahu alssadaqati
Peace be upon you, O he who offered something in charity when he talked confidentially with the Messenger.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَالِدَ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلْبَرَرَةِ ٱلسَّادَاتِ
alssalamu `alayka ya walida al-a'immati albararati alssadati
Peace be upon you, O father of the Imams, the virtuous masters.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا تَالِيَ ٱلْمَبْعُوثِ
alssalamu `alayka ya taliya almab`uthi
Peace be upon you, O one coming immediately after the Messenger.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِلْمِ خَيْرِ مَوْرُوثٍ
alssalamu `alayka ya waritha `ilmi khayri mawruthin
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of the knowledge of the most favorable inherited being.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya sayyida alwasiyyina
Peace be upon you, O chief of the Prophets’ successors.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya imama almuttaqina
Peace be upon you, O head of the pious ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا غِيَاثَ ٱلْمَكْرُوبِينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya ghiyatha almakrubina
Peace be upon you, O aid of the aggrieved ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عِصْمَةَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya `ismata almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O shelter of the believers.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُظْهِرَ ٱلْبَرَاهِينِ
alssalamu `alayka ya muzhira albarahini
Peace be upon you, O provider of evidences.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا طٰهٰ وَيٰس
alssalamu `alayka ya taha wa yasin
Peace be upon you, O Ta-Ha and Ya-Sin.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبْلَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَتِينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya habla allahi almatina
Peace be upon you, O firm rope (taking) to Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ فِي صَلاَتِهِ بِخَاتَمِهِ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ
alssalamu `alayka ya man tasaddaqa fi salatihi bikhatamihi `ala almiskini
Peace be upon you, O he who gave his ring as alms, while he was offering prayer, to a poor.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَالِعَ ٱلصَّخْرَةِ عَنْ فَمِ ٱلْقَلِيبِ
alssalamu `alayka ya qali`a alssakhrati `an fami alqalibi
Peace be upon you, O he who removed the rock from the open of the well,

وَمُظْهِرَ ٱلْمَاءِ ٱلْمَعِينِ
wa muzhira alma'i alma`ini
and he thus caused the pure water to flow.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَيْنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاظِرَةَ
alssalamu `alayka ya `ayna allahi alnnazirata
Peace be upon you, O observing eye of Allah,

وَيَدَهُ ٱلْبَاسِطَةَ
wa yadahu albasitata
His extended Hand,

وَلِسَانَهُ ٱلْمُعَبِّرَ عَنْهُ فِي بَرِيَّتِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ
wa lisanahu almu`abbira `anhu fi bariyyatihi ajma`ina
and His spokesman who conveys His affairs to all of His created beings.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِلْمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya waritha `ilmi alnnabiyyina
Peace be upon you, O heir of the Prophets’ knowledge,

وَمُسْتَوْدَعَ عِلْمِ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ
wa mustawda`a `ilmi al-awwalina wal-akhirina
keeper of the knowledge of the past and coming generations,

وَصَاحِبَ لِوَاءِ ٱلْحَمْدِ
wa sahiba liwa'i alhamdi
bearer of the Pennon of Praise (liwa’ al-hamd),

وَسَاقِيَ أَوْلِيَائِهِ مِنْ حَوْضِ خَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ
wa saqiya awliya'ihi min hawdi khatami alnnabiyyina
and one who shall serve his adherents with water from the (Divine) Pond of the Seal of the Prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا يَعْسُوبَ ٱلدِّينِ
alssalamu `alayka ya ya`suba alddini
Peace be upon you, O head of the religion,

وَقَائِدَ ٱلْغُرِّ ٱلْمُحَجَّلِينَ
wa qa'ida alghurri almuhajjalina
leader of the white-forehead group,

وَوَالِدَ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلْمَرْضِيِّينَ
wa walida al-a'immati almardiyyina
and father of the well-pleased Imams.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّضِيِّ
alssalamu `ala ismi allahi alrradiyyi
Peace be upon the pleased name of Allah,

وَوَجْهِهِ ٱلْمُضِيءِ
wa wajhihi almudi'i
His radiant Face,

وَجَنْبِهِ ٱلْقَوِيِّ
wa janbihi alqawiyyi
His strong Side,

وَصِرَاطِهِ ٱلسَّوِيِّ
wa siratihi alssawiyyi
and His straight Path.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلإِمَامِ ٱلتَّقِيِّ
alssalamu `ala al-imami alttaqiyyi
Peace be upon the pious Imam,

ٱلْمُخْلِصِ ٱلصَّفِيِّ
almukhlisi alssafiyyi
the select and elite.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْكَوكَبِ ٱلدُّرِّيِّ
alssalamu `ala alkawkabi alddurriyyi
Peace be upon the brightly shining star.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلإِمَامِ أَبِي ٱلْحَسَنِ عَلِيٍّ
alssalamu `ala al-imami abi alhasani `aliyyin
Peace be upon the Imam Abu’l-Hasan `Ali.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ أَئِمَّةِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ
alssalamu `ala a'immati alhuda
Peace be upon the leaders to true guidance,

وَمَصَابِيحِ ٱلدُّجَىٰ
wa masabihi aldduja
the lanterns in murk,

وَأَعْلامِ ٱلتُّقَىٰ
wa a`lami alttuqa
the epitomes of piety,

وَمَنَارِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ
wa manari alhuda
the lights of true guidance,

وَذَوِي ٱلنُّهَىٰ
wa dhawi alnnuha
and owners of thought,

وَكَهْفِ ٱلْوَرَىٰ
wa kahfi alwara
the havens of people,

وَٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ
wal`urwati alwuthqa
the firmest handles,

وَٱلْحُجَّةِ عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
walhujjati `ala ahli alddunya
and the arguments against the inhabitants of this world.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon them.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ نُورِ ٱلأَنْوَارِ
alssalamu `ala nuri al-anwari
Peace be upon the light of lights,

وَحُجَّةِ ٱلْجَبَّارِ
wa hujjati aljabbari
the argument of the Omnipotent Lord,

وَوَالِدِ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلأَطْهَارِ
wa walidi al-a'immati al-athari
the father of the immaculate Imams,

وَقَسِيمِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَٱلنَّارِ
wa qasimi aljannati walnnari
the decider of Paradise and Hellfire,

ٱلْمُخْبِرِ عَنِ ٱلآثَارِ
almukhbiri `an al-athari
the narrator of past events,

ٱلْمُدَمِّرِ عَلَىٰ ٱلْكُفَّارِ
almudammiri `ala alkuffari
the destroyer of the unbelievers,

مُسْتَنْقِذِ ٱلشِّيعَةِ ٱلْمُخْلِصِينَ مِنْ عَظِيمِ ٱلأَوْزَارِ
mustanqidhi alshshi`ati almukhlisina min `azimi al-awzari
and the savior of the faithful Shi`ah from their grand sins.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمَخْصُوصِ بِٱلطَّاهِرَةِ ٱلتَّقِيَّةِ ٱبْنَةِ ٱلْمُخْتَارِ
alssalamu `ala almakhsusi bilttahirati alttaqiyyati ibnati almukhtari
Peace be upon the one married to the pure, pious daughter of the Chosen Prophet,

ٱلْمَوْلُودِ فِي ٱلْبَيْتِ ذِي ٱلأَسْتَارِ
almawludi fi albayti dhi al-astari
the one born in the House of curtains,

ٱلْمُزَوَّجِ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ بِٱلْبَرَّةِ ٱلطَّاهِرَةِ
almuzawwaji fi alssama'i bilbarrati alttahirati
the one married in the heavens to the reverent, immaculate,

ٱلرَّضِيَّةِ ٱلْمَرْضِيَّةِ
alrradiyyati almardiyyati
content, and well-pleased lady—

وَالِدَةِ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلأَطْهَارِ
walidati al-a'immati al-athari
the mother of the immaculate Imams.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
alssalamu `ala alnnaba'i al`azimi
Peace be upon the Great News,

ٱلَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ
alladhi hum fihi mukhtalifuna
about whom they differ,

وَعَلَيْهِ يُعْرَضُونَ
wa `alayhi yu`raduna
before whom they shall be stood,

وَعَنْهُ يُسْأَلُونَ
wa `anhu yus'aluna
and about whom they shall be asked.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ نُورِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلأَنْوَرِ
alssalamu `ala nuri allahi al-anwari
Peace be upon the most shining light of Allah

وَضِيَاءِِهِ ٱلأَزْهَرِ
wa diya'ihi al-azhari
and the most luminous brightness of Him.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ وَحُجَّتَهُ
alssalamu `alayka ya waliyya allahi wa hujjatahu
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s friend and argument

وَخَالِصَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتَهُ
wa khalisata allahi wa khassatahu
and Allah’s select and choice.

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ وَحُجَّتَهُ
ashhadu annaka ya waliyya allahi wa hujjatahu
I bear witness that you, being Allah’s friend and argument,

لَقَدْ جَاهَدْتَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
laqad jahadta fi sabili allahi haqqa jihadihi
strove in Allah’s way in the most appropriate way,

وَٱتَّبَعْتَ مِنْهَاجَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
wattaba`ta minhaja rasuli allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
followed the course of Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household,

وَحَلَّلْتَ حَلاَلَ ٱللَّهِ
wa hallalta halala allahi
enjoined that which Allah has deemed lawful,

وَحَرَّمْتَ حَرَامَ ٱللَّهِ
wa harramta harama allahi
forbade that which Allah has deemed unlawful,

وَشَرَعْتَ أَحْكَامَهُ
wa shara`ta ahkamahu
carried out His laws,

وَأَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ
wa aqamta alssalata
offered the prayers,

وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ
wa atayta alzzakata
paid the zakat,

وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
wa amarta bilma`rufi
enjoined the right,

وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ
wa nahayta `an almunkari
forbade the wrong,

وَجَاهَدْتَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ صَابِراً نَاصِحاً
wa jahadta fi sabili allahi sabiran nasihan
and strove in Allah’s way with steadfastness and well-wishing,

مُجْتَهِداً مُحْتَسِباً عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمَ ٱلأَجْرِ حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ
mujtahidan muhtasiban `inda allahi `azima al-ajri hatta ataka alyaqinu
and with painstakingness and with the intention of seeking the great reward of Allah until death came upon you.

فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ دَفَعَكَ عَنْ حَقِّكَ
fala`ana allahu man dafa`aka `an haqqika
So, Allah’s curse be upon those who deprived you of your right

وَأَزَالَكَ عَنْ مَقَامِكَ
wa azalaka `an maqamika
and upon those who took you away from your position.

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ بَلَغَهُ ذٰلِكَ فَرَضِيَ بِهِ
wa la`ana allahu man balaghahu dhalika faradiya bihi
Allah’s curse be upon every one who, when informed about this, accepted it.

أُشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ وَأَنْبِيَاءَهُ وَرُسُلَهُ
ushhidu allaha wa mala'ikatahu wa anbiya'ahu wa rusulahu
I call Allah, His angels, His Prophets, and His Messengers to witness for me that

أَنِّي وَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاَكَ
anni waliyyun liman walaka
I am the friend of him who is loyal to you

وَعَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكَ
wa `aduwwun liman `adaka
and the enemy of him who antagonizes you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
alssalamu `alayka wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

You may then throw yourself on the tomb, kiss it, and say the following words:
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ تَسْمَعُ كَلاَمِي
ashhadu annaka tasma`u kalami
I bear witness that you can hear my words

وَتَشْهَدُ مَقَامِي
wa tashhadu maqami
and see my place.

وَأَشْهَدُ لَكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ بِٱلْبَلاَغِ وَٱلأَدَاءِ
wa ashhadu laka ya waliyya allahi bilbalaghi wal-ada'i
And I testify to you, O Allah’s friend, that you conveyed and fulfilled.

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ
ya mawlaya ya hujjata allahi
O my master! O Allah’s argument!

يَا أَمِينَ ٱللَّهِ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ
ya amina allahi ya waliyya allahi
O Allah’s trustee! O Allah’s friend!

إِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ ٱللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ذُنُوباً
inna bayni wa bayna allahi `azza wa jalla dhunuban
Between me and Allah, to Whom all might and majesty belong, there are sins

قَدْ أَثْقَلَتْ ظَهْرِي
qad athqalat zahri
that have overburdened my back

وَمَنَعَتْنِي مِنَ ٱلرُّقَادِ
wa mana`atni min alrruqadi
and deprived me of sleep;

وَذِكْرُهَا يُقَلْقِلُ أَحْشَائِي
wa dhikruha yuqalqilu ahsha'i
whenever I remember them, even my insides shiver.

وَقَدْ هَرَبْتُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَإِلَيْكَ
wa qad harabtu ila allahi `azza wa jalla wa ilayka
I thus flee to Allah, to Whom all might and majesty belong, and to you.

فَبِحَقِّ مَنِ ٱئْتَمَنَكَ عَلَىٰ سِرِّهِ
fabihaqqi man i'tamanaka `ala sirrihi
I beg you in the name of Him Who has entrusted you with His secrets,

وَٱسْتَرْعَاكَ أَمْرَ خَلْقِهِ
wastar`aka amra khalqihi
appointed you as the supervisor over the affairs of His creatures,

وَقَرَنَ طَاعَتَكَ بِطَاعَتِهِ
wa qarana ta`ataka bita`atihi
matched the obedience to you to the obedience to Him,

وَمُوَالاَتَكَ بِمُوَالاَتِهِ
wa muwalataka bimuwalatihi
and matched the loyalty to you to the loyalty to Him

كُنْ لِي إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ شَفِيعاً
kun li ila allahi shafi`an
that you may intercede for me before Allah,

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّارِ مُجِيراً
wa min alnnari mujiran
rescue me from Hellfire,

وَعَلَىٰ ٱلدَّهْرِ ظَهِيراً
wa `ala alddahri zahiran
and aid me against the vicissitudes of my time.

You may then throw yourself on the tomb again, kiss it, and say the following words:
يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ
ya waliyya allahi
O Allah’s friend!

يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ
ya hujjata allahi
O Allah’s argument!

يَا بَابَ حِطَّةِ ٱللَّهِ
ya baba hittati allahi
O Allah’s door of forgiveness!

وَلِيُّكَ وَزَائِرُكَ
waliyyuka wa za'iruka
I, your adherent, visitor,

وَٱللاَّئِذُ بِقَبْرِكَ
walla'idhu biqabrika
seeker of refuge with your tomb,

وَٱلنَّازِلُ بِفِنَائِكَ
walnnazilu bifina'ika
residing in your courtyard,

وَٱلْمُنِيخُ رَحْلَهُ فِي جِوَارِكَ
walmunikhu rahlahu fi jiwarika
staying in your vicinity,

يَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَشْفَعَ لَهُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ فِي قَضَاءِ حَاجَتِهِ
yas'aluka an tashfa`a lahu ila allahi fi qada'i hajatihi
(I) beg you to intercede for me before Allah that He may grant my needs

وَنُجْحِ طَلِبَتِهِ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
wa nujhi talibatihi fi alddunya wal-akhirati
and may respond to my requests for this life as well as the life to come,

فَإِنَّ لَكَ عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْجَاهَ ٱلْعَظِيمَ
fa'inna laka `inda allahi aljaha al`azima
because you enjoy an enormous position with Allah,

وَٱلشَّفَاعَةَ ٱلْمَقْبُولَةَ
walshshafa`ata almaqbulata
as well as admitted right of intercession.

فَٱجْعَلْنِي يَا مَوْلاَيَ مِنْ هَمِّكَ
faj`alni ya mawlaya min hammika
So, O my master, include me with those for whom you care

وَأَدْخِلْنِي فِي حِزْبِكَ
wa adkhilni fi hizbika
and include me with your party.

وَٱلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ ضَجِيعَيْكَ آدَمَ وَنُوحٍ
wa alssalamu `alayka wa `ala daji`ayka adama wa nuhin
Peace be upon you and upon your partners in place; Adam and Noah.

وَٱلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَلَدَيْكَ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ
wa alssalamu `alayka wa `ala waladayka alhasani walhusayni
Peace be upon you and upon your two sons; al-Hasan and al-Husayn,

وَعَلَىٰ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِكَ
wa `ala al-a'immati alttahirina min dhurriyyatika
and upon the immaculate Imams from your progeny.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

You may then offer a six-unit prayer of ziyarah; two for visiting Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him), two for visiting Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), and two for visiting Prophet Noah (peace be upon him). You may also supplicate Almighty Allah as earnestly as possible, for your prayers are responded at this place, Allah willing.




Farewell Ziyarat - Iqbal Aamal
وَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ اللَّهَ وَ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ
السَّلَامَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَ بِالرَّسُولِ وَ بِمَا جَاءَ بِهِ وَ دَعَا إِلَيْهِ وَ دَلَّ عَلَيْهِ
اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِي إِيَّاهُ
اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا ثَوَابَ مَزَارِهِ وَ ارْزُقْنَا الْعَوْدَ وَ إِنْ تَوَفَّيْتَنِي قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنِّي أَشْهَدُ فِي مَمَاتِي بِمَا شَهِدْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي حَيَاتِي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُمْ أَعْلَامُ الْهُدَى وَ نُجُومُ الْعُلَى وَ الْقَدْرُ الْبَالِغُ مَا بَيْنَكَ وَ بَيْنَ خَلْقِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مَنْ رَدَّ ذَلِكَ هُوَ فِي دَرْكِ الْجَحِيمِ
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تُسَمِّي الْأَئِمَّةَ وَاحِداً وَاحِداً وَ أَنْ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ وِفَادَتِهِ وَ الِانْقِضَاءِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِهِ وَ إِنْ جَعَلْتَهُ فَاجْعَلْنِي مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَئِمَّةِ الْهُدَاةِ
اللَّهُمَّ ذَلِّلْ قَلْبِي بِالطَّاعَةِ وَ الْمُنَاصَحَةِ وَ الْمُوَالاةِ وَ حُسْنِ الْمُوَازَرَةِ وَ الْمَوَدَّةِ وَ التَّسْلِيمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَكْمِلَ بِذَلِكَ طَاعَتُكَ وَ يَبْلُغَ بِهَا مَرْضَاتَكَ وَ يَسْتَوْجِبَ بِهَا ثَوَابَكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ بِالْوَلَايَةِ لِمَنْ وَالَيْتَ وَ وَالَتْ رُسُلُكَ وَ أَنْبِيَاؤُكَ وَ مَلَائِكَتُكَ وَ أُشْهِدُكَ بِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِمَّنْ بَرِئْتَ أَنْتَ مِنْهُ وَ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ رُسُلُكَ وَ أَنْبِيَاؤُكَ وَ مَلَائِكَتُكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ وَ السَّفَرَةُ الْأَبْرَارُ
اللَّهُمَّ وَفِّقْنِي لِكُلِّ مَقَامٍ مَحْمُودٍ وَ أَقْلِبْنِي مِنْ هَذَا الْحَرَمِ بِخَيْرٍ مَوْجُودٍ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ
May God‟s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon you. I entrust you with God, and I say peace be on you. We believe in God and the Messenger, what he has brought, what he has invited to and what he has reasoned. O‟ my God! Please do not make this the last time I visit here. O‟ my God! Please do not deprive us from the reward of visiting his shrine. O‟ God! Please bless us with the return. However, if You take away my life before this, I bear witness to what I testify in my life. I bear witness that they are the signs of guidance, stars high above, and means of connection between You and Your Creatures. I bear witness that whoever rejects this shall reside in the depth of Hell. O‟ my God! I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny.”
Then name the Divine Leaders one by one and continue as follows, “Please do not make this the last time that I go to him and the termination of my visiting him. I ask You to intercede on my behalf near God for fulfilling my needs and demands for this world and the Hereafter. Please let me be with these Divine Leaders of guidance.
O‟ my God! Please smooth my heart with obedience, advice, friendship, love and submission until I complete Your Obedience with this and attain Your Good Pleasure and deserve Your Reward and Mercy. O‟ my God! I bear witness to the Mastery of him whom Your Prophet, Your Messengers and Your angels declared as Master. I bear witness near You that I disown whoever You disown, and whoever Your Messengers, Prophets, nearby-stationed angels and Your Good Ambassadors disown. O‟ my God! Please grant me success in all praised ranks and let me return from here with the best benefits earned. O‟ Lord of Majesty, Bounty and Honor!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا تَاجَ الْأَوْصِيَاءِ
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَأْسَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ الْأَحْكَامِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رُكْنَ الْمَقَامِ [يَا صَاحِبَ الرُّكْنِ وَ الْمَقَامِ‌]
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَفْدِهِ الْمُبَارَكِينَ وَ زُوَّارِهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ وَ شِيعَتِهِ الصَّادِقِينَ وَ مَوَالِيهِ النَّاصِحِينَ وَ أَنْصَارِهِ الْمُكْرَمِينَ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ الْمُؤَيَّدِينَ وَ اجْعَلْنِي أَكْرَمَ وَافِدٍ وَ أَفْضَلَ وَارِدٍ وَ أَنْبَلَ قَاصِدٍ فِي هَذَا الْحَرَمِ الْكَرِيمِ وَ الْمَقَامِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ الْمَوْرِدِ النَّبِيلِ وَ الْمَنْهَلِ الْجَلِيلِ الَّذِي أَوْجَبْتَ فِيهِ غُفْرَانَكَ وَ رَحْمَتَكَ وَ أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَ مَنْ حَضَرَ مِنْ مَلَائِكَتِهِ فِي هَذَا الْحَرَمِ الَّذِي هُمْ بِهِ [فيه‌] مُحْدِقُونَ حَافُّونَ أَنَّ مَنْ سَكَنَ رَمْسَهُ وَ حَلَّ ضَرِيحَهُ طُهْرٌ مُقَدَّسٌ صِدِّيقٌ مُنْتَجَبٌ وَ وَصِيٌّ مُرْتَضًى وَاهاً لَكَ مِنْ تُرْبَةٍ ضَمِنَتْ [ضمت‌] نُوراً مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَ شِهَاباً مِنَ النُّورِ وَ يَنْبُوعَ الْحِكْمَةِ وَ عَيْناً مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ إِبْلَاغَ الْحُجَّةِ أَنَا أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قَاتِلِيكَ وَ ظَالِمِيكَ وَ النَّاصِبِينَ لَكَ وَ الْمُعِينِينَ عَلَيْكَ وَ الْمُحَارِبِينَ لَكَ وَ أُوَدِّعُكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَدَاعَ الْمَحْزُونِ لِفِرَاقِكَ الْمُكْتَئِبِ بِالزَّوَالِ عَنْ حَرَمِكَ الْمُتَفَجِّعِ عَلَيْكَ لَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْكَ وَ لَا مِنْ زِيَارَتِنَا لَكَ إِنَّهُ [إنك‌] سَمِيعٌ مُجِيبٌ.
Peace be on you, O‟ crown of the Trustees! Peace be on you, O‟ chief of the truthful ones! Peace be on you, O‟ inheritor of the decrees! Peace be on you, O‟ Company of Rukn and Maqam1. O‟ my God! Please let me be amongst his blessed pilgrims, sincere visitors, true followers, good companions, noble friends and certified companions.
Please let me be of the noblest ones to come to this Sacred Noble House with the exalted position and the Majestic Spring2 which You have ensured Your Forgiveness and Mercy in it. I take God and the angels that circulate around this shrine as witness that the one who is buried here in this shrine is pure, holy, honest, chosen and a Trustee that You are pleased with. Woe be upon the dirt which has housed such a good light, such a brilliant meteorite, source of wisdom, spring of mercy, and an advocate of proof in it. I disown your murderer near God. I disown those who oppressed you, those who opposed you, those who assisted them and those who fought with you. O‟ my Guardian! O‟ Commander of the Faithful!
I say farewell to you like one who is sad about departing from you, sorry about having to leave your shrine with his heart in pain for this. May God not make this be my last occasion for visiting you and pilgrimage to your shrine. For indeed He is All-hearing, the Fulfiller!”
