Martyrdom :13th Jamadi-ul-Awwal or 3rd Jamadi-us-Sani 11 AH in Medina at the very young age of 18 years | Ziarat on Martyrdom date | Sunday Ziarat
While standing in the area between the Holy Prophets tomb and minbar (i.e. Garden of Paradise Rawdhah), you may visit the tomb of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra' (a). There is disagreement about the place of the tomb of Lady Fatimah (a); some say that she was buried in the Rawdah. Others say that she was buried at her house. Others say that she was buried in the Baqi` Cemetery. However, the majority of our scholars agree that she must be visited from the Rawdah, although to visit her at all these three places is more preferable. When you stand for the ziyarah of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra's tomb, you may say the following:
يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ |
y mumtaanatu |
O carefully examined (lady): |
imtaanaki allhu alladh khalaqaki |
Allah Who created you had tried you |
qabla an yakhluqaki |
before He created you (for this worldly life), |
fawajadaki lim imtaanaki biratan |
and thus He found you successfully enduring in that trial. |
We claim being loyalists to you, believers in you, |
wa birna likulli m atn bih abki |
and tolerant as regards all that which has been conveyed to us by your father, |
all allhu `alayhi wa lih |
peace of Allah be upon him and his Household, |
wa at bih waiyyuh |
and all that which his Successor has brought to us. |
fa'inn nas'aluki in kunn addaqnki |
We, thus, ask you, if we have really believed you, |
ill alaqtin bitadqin lahum |
that you may include us with those who believe in both of them (i.e. the Holy Prophet and Imam `Al), |
linubashshira anfusan bi'ann qad ahurn biwilyatiki |
so that we may feel happy that we have been purified on account of our loyalty to you. |

In Tahdhb al-Akm, Shaykh al-s says that the narrations dealing with the merits and rewards of visiting the tomb of Lady Fatimah al Zahra(sa) are too numerous to be counted.
From the book of Miba al-Anwar, `Allamah al-Majlis has reported Lady Faimah al-Zahra' (`a) as saying, My father said to me: If one invokes Almighty Allahs blessings upon you, Almighty Allah will forgive him and will join him to me in Paradise wherever I am.

Ziyarah has been mentioned by the son of Sayyid Ibn Tawus in his book entitled Zawa'id al-Fawaid adding that it is dedicated to the day of Lady Fatimahs demise, He adds that the method of saying this Ziyarah is to begin with offering the Ziyarah Prayer which is a two unit prayer at each of which Surah al-Fatihah is recited once and Surah al-Tawhid repeated sixty times if possible, otherwise Surah al-Fatihah and Surah al-Tawhid are recited in the first unit and Surah al-Fatihah and Surah al-Kafirun in the second. After this prayer this Ziyarah is recited. | ||
