بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
bismi all�hi alrra�m�ni alrra��mi |
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. |
|
اللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ دَلَعَ لِسَانَ ٱلصَّبَاحِ بِنُطْقِ تَبَلُّجِهِ |
all�humma y�
man dala`a lis�na al��ab��i binu�qi taballujih� |
O Allah, O He Who extended the morning's tongue in the speech of its
dawning, |
|
وَسَرَّحَ قِطَعَ ٱللَّيْلِ ٱلْمُظْلِمِ بِغَيَاهِبِ تَلَجْلُجِهِ |
wa sarra�a qi�a`a allayli almu�limi bighay�hibi talajlujih� |
dispatched the fragments of the dark night into the gloom of its
stammering, |
|
وَاتْقَنَ
صُنْعَ ٱلْفَلَكِ الدَّوَّارِ فِي مَقَادِيرِ تَبَرُّجِهِ |
wa atqana �un`a alfalaki alddaww�ri f� maq�d�ri tabarrujih� |
made firm the structure of the turning spheres in the measure of its
display, |
|
وَشَعْشَعَ ضِيَاءَ ٱلشَّمْسِ بِنُورِ تَاجُّجِهِ |
wa sha`sha`a �iy�'a alshshamsi bin�ri ta'ajjujih� |
and beamed forth the brightness of the sun through the light of its
blazing! |
|
يَا مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِهِ بِذَاتِهِ |
y�
man dalla `al�
dh�tih� bidh�tih� |
O He Who demonstrates His Essence by His Essence, |
|
وَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْ مُجَانَسَةِ مَخْلُوقَاتِهِ |
wa tanazzaha `an muj�nasati makhl�q�tih� |
transcends from congeniality with His creatures, |
|
وَجَلَّ عَنْ مُلائَمَةِ كَيْفِيَاتِهِ |
wa jalla `an mul�'amati kayfiyy�tih� |
and is exalted beyond conformity with His qualities! |
|
يَا مَنْ قَرُبَ مِنْ خَطَرَاتِ ٱلظُّنُونِ |
y�
man qaruba min kha�ar�ti al��un�ni |
O He Who is near to the passing thoughts of opinions, |
|
وَبَعُدَ عَنْ لَحَظَاتِ ٱلْعُيُونِ |
wa ba`uda `an la�a��ti al`uy�ni |
far from the regards of eyes, |
|
وَعَلِمَ بِمَا كَانَ قَبْلَ ان
يَكُونَ |
wa `alima bim�
k�na qabla an yak�na |
and knows what will be before it comes to be! |
|
يَا مَنْ ارْقَدَنِي
فِي مِهَادِ امْنِهِ
وَامَانِهِ |
y�
man arqadan� f� mih�di amnih� wa am�nih� |
O He Who has put me at ease in the cradle of His security and
sanctuary, |
|
وَايْقَظَنِي
إِلَىٰ مَا مَنَحَنِي بِهِ مِنْ مِنَنِهِ وَإِحْسَانِهِ |
wa ayqa�an� il�
m�
mana�an� bih� min minanih� wa i�s�nih� |
awakened me to the favors and kindness that He has bestowed upon me, |
|
وَكَفَّ اكُفَّ
السُّوءِ عَنِّي بِيَدِهِ وَسُلْطَانِهِ |
wa kaffa akuffa alss�'i `ann� biyadih� wa sul��nih� |
and held back from me the claws of evil with His hand and His
authority! |
|
صَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَىٰ ٱلدَّلِيلِ إِلَيْكَ فِي ٱللَّيْلِ ٱلالْيَلِ |
�alli all�humma `al�
alddal�li ilayka f� allayli al-alyali |
Bless, O Allah, the guide to You in the darkest night, |
|
وَٱلْمَاسِكِ مِنْ اسْبَابِكَ
بِحَبْلِ ٱلشَّرَفِ ٱلاطْوَلِ |
walm�siki min asb�bika bi�abli alshsharafi al-a�wali |
who, of Your ropes, clings to the cord of the longest nobility, |
|
وَٱلنَّاصِعِ ٱلْحَسَبِ فِي ذِرْوَةِ ٱلْكَاهِلِ ٱلاعْبَلِ |
walnn��i`i al�asabi f� dhirwati alk�hili al-a`bali |
whose pure lineage evident at the summit of stout shoulders, |
|
وَٱلثَّابِتِ ٱلْقَدَمِ عَلَىٰ زَحَاِليْفِهَا فِي ٱلزَّمَنِ ٱلاوَّلِ |
walthth�biti alqadami `al�
za��lifih�
f� alzzamani al-awwali |
and whose feet were entrenched in spite of slippery places in
ancient time. |
|
وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ ٱلاخْيَارِ
ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلابْرَارِ |
wa `al�
�lihi al-akhy�ri almu��afayna al-abr�ri |
And [bless] his household, the good, chosen, and pious. |
|
وٱفْتَحِ اللَّهُمَّ لَنَا مَصَارِيعَ ٱلصَّبَاحِ |
w�fta� all�humma lan�
ma��r�`a al��ab��i |
Open
for us, O Allah, the leaves of the morning's door |
|
بِمَفَاتِيحِ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ وَٱلْفَلاَحِ |
bimaf�t��i alrra�mati walfal��i |
with the keys of mercy and prosperity! |
|
وَالْبِسْنِي
ٱللَّهُمَّ مِنْ افْضَلِ
خِلَعِ ٱلْهِدَايَةِ وَٱلصَّلاَحِ |
wa albisn� all�humma min af�ali khila`i alhid�yati wal��al��i |
Clothe me, O Allah, with the most excellent robes of guidance and
righteousness! |
|
وَٱغْرِسِ اللَّهُمَّ بِعَظَمَتِكَ فِي شِرْبِ جَنَانِي يَنَابِيعَ
ٱلْخُشُوعِ |
wa ighris all�humma bi`a�amatika f� shirbi jan�n� yan�b�`a
alkhush�`i |
Plant, O Allah, through Your tremendousness, the springs of humility
in the watering place of my heart! |
|
وَاجْرِ
ٱللَّهُمَّ لِهَيْبَتِكَ مِنْ آمَاقِي زَفَرَاتِ ٱلدُّمُوعِ |
wa ajri all�humma lihaybatika min �m�q� zafar�ti alddum�`i |
Cause to flow, O Allah, through fear of You, tears of moaning from
the corners of my eyes! |
|
وَادِّبِ
ٱللَّهُمَّ نَزَقَ ٱلْخُرْقِ مِنِّي بِازِمَّةِ
ٱلْقُنُوعِ |
wa addib all�humma nazaqa alkhurqi minn� bi-azimmati alqun�`i |
Chastise, O Allah, the recklessness of my clumsiness with the reins
of contentment! |
|
إِلٰهِي إِن لَمْ تَبْتَدِئْنِي ٱلرَّحْمَةُ مِنْكَ بِحُسْنِ
ٱلتَّوْفِيقِ |
il�h� in lam tabtadi'n� alrra�matu minka bi�usni alttawf�qi |
My God, if mercy from You does not begin with fair success for me, |
|
فَمَنِ ٱلسَّاِلكُ بِي إِلَيْكَ فِي وَاضِحِ ٱلطَّرِيقِ |
faman alss�liku b� ilayka f� w��i�i al��ar�qi |
then who can take me to You upon the evident path? |
|
وَإِنْ اسْلَمَتْنِي
انَاتُكَ
لِقَائِدِ ٱلامَلِ
وَٱلْمُنَىٰ |
wa in aslamatn� an�tuka liq�'idi al-amali walmun�
|
If Your deliberateness should turn me over to the guide of hope and
wishes, |
|
فَمَنِ ٱلْمُقِيلُ عَثَرَاتِي مِنْ كَبَوَاتِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ |
faman almuq�lu `athar�t� min kabaw�ti alhaw� |
then who will annul my slips from the stumbles of caprice? |
|
وَإِنْ خَذَلَنِي نَصْرُكَ عِنْدَ مُحَارَبَةِ ٱلنَّفْسِ
وَٱلشَّيْطَانِ |
wa in khadhalan� na�ruka `inda mu��rabati alnnafsi walshshay��ni |
If Your help should forsake me in the battle against the soul and
Satan, |
|
فَقَدْ وَكَلَنِي خِذْلاَنُكَ إِلَىٰ حَيْثُ ٱلنَّصَبِ وَٱلْحِرْمَانِ |
faqad wakalan� khidhl�nuka il�
�aythu alnna�abi wal�irm�ni |
then Your forsaking will have submitted me to where there is
hardship and deprivation. |
|
إِلٰهِي
اتَرَانِي
مَا اتَيْتُكَ
إِلاَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ ٱلآمَاِل |
il�h� atar�n� m�
ataytuka ill�
min �aythu al-�m�li |
My God, do You see that I have only come to You from the direction
of hopes, |
|
امْ
عَلِقْتُ بِاطْرَافِ
حِبَاِلكَ إِلاَّ حِينَ بَاعَدَتْنِي ذُنُوبِي عَنْ دَارِ ٱلْوِصَاِل |
am `aliqtu bi-a�r�fi �ib�lika ill�
��na b�`adatn� dhun�b� `an d�ri alwi��li |
or clung to the ends of Your cords when my sins have driven me from
the house of union? |
|
فَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَطِيَّةُ الَّتِي ٱمْتَطَتْ نَفْسِي مِنْ هَوَاهَا |
fabi'sa alma�iyyatu allat� imta�at nafs� min haw�h� |
So what an evil mount upon which my soul has mounted-its caprice! |
|
فَوَاهاً لَهَا لِمَا سَوَّلَتْ لَهَا ظُنُونُهَا وَمُنَاهَا |
faw�han lah�
lim�
sawwalat lah�
�un�nuh�
wa mun�h� |
Woe upon it for being seduced by its own opinions and wishes! |
|
وَتَبّاً لَهَا لِجُرْاتِهَا
عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِهَا وَمَوْلاهَا |
wa tabban lah�
lijur'atih�
`al�
sayyidih�
wa mawl�h� |
Destruction be upon it for its audacity toward its Master and
Protector! |
|
إِلٰهِي قَرَعْتُ بَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ بِيَدِ رَجَائِي |
il�h� qara`tu b�ba ra�matika biyadi raj�'� |
My God, I have knocked upon the door of Your mercy with the hand of
my hope, |
|
وَهَرَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ لاَجِئاً مِنْ فَرْطِ اهْوَائِي |
wa harabtu ilayka l�ji'an min far�i ahw�'� |
fled to You seeking refuge from my excessive caprice, |
|
وَعَلَّقْتُ بِاطْرَافِ
حِبَاِلكَ انَامِلَ
وَلائِي |
wa `allaqtu bi-a�r�fi �ib�lika an�mila wal�'� |
and fixed the fingers of my love to the ends of Your cords. |
|
فَٱصْفَحِ اللَّهُمَّ عَمَّا كُنتُ اجْرَمْتُهُ
مِنْ زَلَلِي وَخَطَائِي |
fa�fa� all�humma `amm�
kuntu ajramtuh� min zalal� wa kha��'� |
So pardon, O Allah, the slips and errors I have committed, |
|
وَاقِلْنِي
مِنْ صَرْعَةِ رِدَائِي |
wa aqiln� min �ar`ati rid�'� |
and release me from the foot-tangling of my robe, |
|
فَإِنَّكَ سَيِّدِي وَمَوْلايَ وَمُعْتَمَدِي وَرَجَائِي |
fa'innaka sayyid� wa mawl�ya wa mu`tamad� wa raj�'� |
for You are my Master, my Protector, my Support and my Hope, |
|
وَانتَ
غَايَةُ مَطْلُوبِي وَمُنَايَ فِي مُنْقَلَبِي وَمَثْوايَ |
wa anta gh�yatu ma�l�b� wa mun�ya f� munqalab� wa mathw�ya |
and You are the object of my search and my desire in my ultimate end
and stable abode. |
|
إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ تَطْرُدُ مِسْكِيناً ٱلْتَجَا
إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ هَارِباً |
il�h� kayfa ta�rudu misk�nan iltaja'a ilayka mina aldhdhun�bi
h�riban |
My God, how could You drive away a poor beggar who seeks refuge in
You from sins, fleeing? |
|
ام
كَيْفَ تُخَيِّبُ مُستَرْشِداً قَصَدَ إِلَىٰ جَنَابِكَ سَاعِياً |
am kayfa tukhayyibu mustarshidan qa�ada il�
jan�bika s�`iyan |
How could You disappoint one seeking guidance who repairs to Your
threshold, running? |
|
امْ
كَيْفَ تَرُدُّ ظَمْآناً وَرَدَ إِلَىٰ حِيَاضِكَ شَارِباً |
am kayfa taruddu �am'�nan warada il�
�iy��ika sh�riban |
How could You reject a thirsty man who comes to Your pools to drink? |
|
كَلاَّ وَحِيَاضُكَ مُتْرَعَةٌ فِي ضَنْكِ ٱلْمُحُولِ |
kall�
wa �iy��uka mutra`atun f� �anki almu��li |
Never! For Your pools are full in the hardship of drought, |
|
وَبَابُكَ مَفْتُوحٌ لِلطَّلَبِ وَٱلْوُغُولِ |
wa b�buka maft��un lil��alabi walwugh�li |
Your door is open for seeking and penetration, |
|
وَانتَ
غَايَةُ ٱلْمَسْؤُولِ وَنِهَايَةُ ٱلْمَامُولِ |
wa anta gh�yatu almas'�li wa nih�yatu alma'm�li |
and You are the goal of requests and the object of hopes. |
|
إِلٰهِي هٰذِهِ ازِمَّةُ
نَفْسِي عَقَلْتُهَا بِعِقَاِل مَشِيئَتِكَ |
il�h� h�dhih� azimmatu nafs� `aqaltuh�
bi`iq�li mash�'atika |
My God, these are the reins of my soul I have bounded with the ties
of Your will. |
|
وَهٰذِهِ اعْبَاءُ
ذُنُوبِي دَرَاْتُهَا بِعَفْوِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ |
wa h�dhih� a`b�'u dhun�b� dara'tuh�
bi`afwika wa ra�matika |
These are the burdens of my sins I have averted with Your pardon and
mercy. |
|
وَهٰذِهِ اهْوَائِيَ
ٱلْمُضِلَّةُ وَكَلْتُهَا إِلَىٰ جَنَابِ لُطفِكَ وَرَاْفَتِكَ |
wa h�dhih� ahw�'� almu�illatu wakaltuh�
il�
jan�bi lu�fika wa ra'fatika |
These are my misleading caprices I have referred to the threshold of
Your gentleness and kindliness. |
|
فَٱجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ صَبَاحِي هٰذَا نَازِلاً عَلَيَّ بِضِيَاءِ
ٱلْهُدَىٰ |
faj`al all�humma �ab��� h�dh�
n�zilan `alayya bi�iy�'i alhud� |
So, make this morning of mine, O Allah, descend upon me with the
radiance of guidance |
|
وَبِٱلسَّلاَمَةِ فِي ٱلدِّينِ وَٱلدُّنْيَا |
wa bilssal�mati f� aldd�ni waldduny� |
and safety in religion and this world! |
|
وَمَسَائِيَ جُنَّةً مِنْ كَيْدِ ٱلْعِدَىٰ |
wa mas�'� junnatan min kaydi al`id� |
And [make] my evening a shield against the deception of enemies |
|
وَوِقَايَةً مِنْ مُرْدِيَاتِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ |
wa wiq�yatan min murdiy�ti alhaw� |
and a protection against the destructive blows of caprice! |
|
إِنَّكَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰ مَا تَشَاءُ |
innaka q�dirun `al�
m�
tash�'u |
Verily, You have power to do what You will! |
|
تُؤْتِي ٱلْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ |
tu't� almulka man tash�'u |
You give the kingdom to whom You will, |
|
وَتَنْزِعُ ٱلْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ |
wa tanzi`u almulka mimman tash�'u |
seize the kingdom from whom You will, |
|
وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ |
wa tu`izzu man tash�'u |
exalt whom You will, |
|
وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ |
wa tudhillu man tash�'u |
and abase whom You will. |
|
بِيَدِكَ ٱلْخَيرُ |
biyadika alkhayru |
In Your hand is the good |
|
إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
innaka `al� kulli shay'in qad�run |
and You are powerful over all things. |
|
تُولِجُ ٱللَّيْلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ |
t�liju allayla f� alnnah�ri |
You make the night to enter into the day, |
|
وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱللَّيْلِ |
wa t�liju alnnah�ra f� allayli |
make the day to enter into the night, |
|
وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلمَيِّتِ |
wa tukhriju al�ayya mina almayyiti |
bring forth the living from the dead, |
|
وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلحَيِّ |
wa tukhriju almayyita mina al�ayyi |
bring forth the dead from the living, |
|
وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ |
wa tarzuqu man tash�'u bighayri �is�bin |
and provide whomsoever You will without measure! |
|
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ |
l�
il�ha ill�
anta |
There is no god but You! |
|
سُبْحَانَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ |
sub��naka all�humma wa bi�amdika |
Glory be to You, O Allah, and Yours is the praise! |
|
مَنْ ذَا يَعْرِفُ قَدْرَكَ فَلاَ يَخَافُكَ |
man dh�
ya`rifu qadraka fal�
yakh�fuka |
Who knows Your measure and yet does not fear You? |
|
وَمَن ذَا يَعْلَمُ مَا انتَ
فَلاَ يَهَابُكَ |
wa man dh�
ya`lamu m�
anta fal�
yah�buka |
Who knows what You are and yet does not stand in awe of You? |
|
الَّفْتَ
بِقُدْرَتِكَ ٱلْفِرَقَ |
allafta biqudratika alfiraqa |
Through Your power, You have joined disparate things, |
|
وَفَلَقْتَ بِلُطْفِكَ ٱلْفَلَقَ |
wa falaqta bilu�fika alfalaqa |
through Your gentleness, You have cleaved apart the daybreak, |
|
وَانَرْتَ
بِكَرَمِكَ ديَاجِيَ ٱلْغَسَقِ |
wa anarta bikaramika day�jiya alghasaqi |
through Your generosity, You have illumined the dark shrouds of
night, |
|
وَانْهَرْتَ
ٱلْمِيَاهَ مِنَ ٱلصُّمِّ ٱلصَّيَاخِيدِ عَذْباً وَاجَاجاً |
wa anharta almiy�ha mina al��ummi al��ay�kh�di `adhban wa uj�jan |
made waters, sweet and salt, flow forth from hard shining stones, |
|
وَانزَلْتَ
مِنَ ٱلمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاءً ثَجَّاجاً |
wa anzalta mina almu`�ir�ti m�'an thajj�jan |
sent dawn out of rain-clouds water cascading, |
|
وَجَعَلْتَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ لِلْبَرِيَّةِ سِرَاجاً وَهَّاجاً |
wa ja`alta alshshamsa walqamara lilbariyyati sir�jan wahh�jan |
and appointed the sun and the moon a blazing lamp for the creatures |
|
مِنْ غَيْرِ ان
تُمَارِسَ فِيمَا ٱبْتَدَاتَ
بِهِ لُغُوباً وَلاَ عِلاَجاً |
min ghayri an tum�risa f�m�
ibtada'ta bih� lugh�ban wa l�
`il�jan |
without experiencing in that which You originated either weariness
or effort. |
|
فَيَا مَنْ تَوَحَّدَ بِٱلْعِزِّ وَٱلْبَقَاءِ |
fay�
man tawa��ada bil`izzi walbaq�'i |
So, O He Who is alone in might and subsistence |
|
وَقَهَرَ عِبَادَهُ بِٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْفَنَاءِ |
wa qahara `ib�dah� bilmawti walfan�'i |
and dominates His slaves with death and annihilation, |
|
صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلاتْقِيَاءِ |
�alli `al�
mu�ammadin wa �lih� al-atqiy�'i |
(please) bless Mu�ammad and his household, the god-fearing, |
|
وَٱسْمَعْ نِدَائِي وَٱسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِي |
wasma` nid�'� wastajib du`�'� |
answer my supplication, hear my call, |
|
وَحَقِّقْ بِفَضْلِكَ امَلِي
وَرَجَائِي |
wa �aqqiq bifa�lika amal� wa raj�'� |
and actualize through Your favor my hope and desire. |
|
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دُعِيَ لِكَشْفِ ٱلضُّرِّ |
y�
khayra man du`iya likashfi al��urri |
O Best of those who are called to remove affliction |
|
وَٱلْمَامُولِ
فِي كُلِّ عُسْرٍ وَيُسْرٍ |
walma'm�li f� kulli `usrin wa yusrin |
and object of hope in difficulty and ease! |
|
بِكَ انزَلْتُ
حَاجَتِي فَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي مِنْ سَنِيِّ مَوَاهِبِكَ خَائِباً |
bika anzaltu ��jat� fal�
taruddan� min saniyyi maw�hibika kh�'iban |
I have stated my need to You; so, do not reject me despairing of
Your exalted gifts. |
يَا كَرِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ |
y�
kar�mu y�
kar�mu y�
kar�mu |
O All-generous! O All-generous! O All-generous! |
|
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا ارْحَمَ
ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ |
bira�matika y�
ar�ama alrr��im�na |
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful! |
|
وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ خَيْرِ خَلْقِهِ |
wa �all�
all�hu `al�
khayri khalqih� |
May Allah bless the best of His creatures, |
|
مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ اجْمَعِينَ |
mu�ammadin wa �lihi ajma`�na |
Mu�ammad, and his entire Household! |
