MANNERS AND TAHARA IN THE TOILET   Pdf

If you wish to offer a prayer and need to go to toilet, you may begin with the latter. There are many reported etiquettes of going to toilet.

You may precede your left foot to the right when entering the water closet (or the place where you excrete) and say the following:

bismillhi wa billhi

a`dhu billhi min alrrijsi alnnajisi

alkhabthi almukhbithi

alshshayni alrrajmi

O Allah I seek refuge with you from the disgraceful, impure, evil , wicked shaytan. O Allah draw out from me the harm(damage) and protect me from the accursed shaytan. Praise be to Allah the protector and provider.

you may utter the basmalah:

bismillhi alrramni alrrami

In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

At such a situation, you must try to cover your private parts, letting nobody see them. It is arm (i.e. religiously unlawful) to sit, for excretion, facing the kiblah direction or giving it ones back.

O Allah remove from me the worry (annoyance) and harm and make me from among the purified ones

While excreting, it is recommended to say the following:

allhumma a`imn ayyiban f `fiyatin

wa akhrijhu minn khabthan f `fiyatin

O Allah ! Just as You nourished me for good health remove from me the harmful for my health.

If your sight falls on the excrement, you may say the following:

allhumma urzuqn alalla

wa jannibn alarma

O Allah provide me with the halal (permissible) and keep away the haram

When you finish and want to clean yourself, you may first of all try to make sure that you have discharged the entire waste. Then, you may say the prayer that is said when ones eye falls on water:

alamdu lillhi alladh ja`ala alm'a ahran

wa lam yaj`alhu najisan

: All praise be to Allah Who has made water pure and has not made it impure.

While cleaning yourself from the waste, you may say the following:

allhumma ain farj wa a`iffah

wastur `awrat

wa arrimn `al alnnri

O Allah make me chaste , cover my private parts and keep me away from the hell fire.

When you finish and stand up, you may rub your abdomen with your right hand and say the following:

alamdu lillhi alladh ama `anniya al-adh

wa hanna'an a`m wa sharb

wa `fn min albalw

All praise be to Allah Who has kept me away from harm, delighted me with my food and drink and restored my health from distress

You may then leave the water closet (or the place where you have excreted), preceding your right foot to the left and saying the following:

alamdu lillhi alladh `arrafan ladhdhatah

wa abq f jasad quwwatah

wa akhraja `ann adhhu

y lah ni`matan

y lah ni`matan

y lah ni`matan

l yuqaddiru alqdirna qadrah

All praise be to Allah who made me know its pleasure. Retained in my body its power and removed from me its harm.

Cleansing the Teeth

If you then intend to perform the ritual ablution (wu'), you may before that begin with brushing the teeth with the miswk (a stick used for cleansing the teeth), because it cleanse the mouth, removes phlegm, strengthens the memory, increases the good deeds, and pleases the Exalted Lord. A two-unit prayer that is preceded by cleansing the teeth is more favorable than seventy-unit prayer without it. If a miswk is not available, it is acceptably sufficient to use ones finger (for cleansing the teeth).

10. The manners and advantages of cleaning one's teeth (khilal): From Tehzibul Islam Allama Majlisi

A tradition from Imam Ja'far-e-Sadiq (a.s.) states that Hazrat Jibrael (a.s.) brought for the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) Miswak Khilal (toothpick) and horn for vivisection and said that Khilal strengthens the roots of teeth, makes them healthy and increases daily income.

A tradition from Imam Ja'far-e-Sadiq (a.s.) states that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) has prohibited the use of pomegranate or any fruit-tree's branch as khilal as it causes dandruff.

According to Hazrat Ali (a.s.), doing khilal with the wood of Jhao causes poverty.

Another tradition states that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) has ordained that the host should provide his guest with khilal for angels look with anger at the food particles trapped in any one's teeth.

A tradition from Imam Ja'far-e-Sadiq (a.s.) states that the food particles which cling to the roots of the teeth should be eaten and those which are trapped between the teeth should be taken out and thrown away.

According to Imam Ja'far-e-Sadiq (a.s.), whatever is removed with khilal should not be eaten as it causes internal wounds.

PROPHETS  DUA WHEN HE ENTERED THE WASHROOM

48. In al-Faqih: When the  "Holy Prophet" wanted to enter the washroom he said:

O Allh   ! I seek refuge with You from the filth of the impurity of the evil of the reviled Shaitan. O Allh! Pull away from me all uncleanliness and protect me from the accursed Shaitan.

And when he sat to relieve himself he said:

O Allh  ! Remove from me the filth and impurity and make me from among the ones who purify themselves.

When he became affected with a looseness of bowels he said:

O Allh " ! Just as You have fed me with its goodness in well-being, then take its filth out of me in well-being.

And when he entered the toilet he would say:

Praise be to Allh , The Protector and The Fulfiller (of needs).

When he came out (from the toilet) he passed his hand over his stomach and said:

Praise be to Allh   , the One who removed from me its filth and left in me its strength. What a (great) blessing it is the real value of which cannot be fully appreciated by anyone.[i]

Supplication for Protection of Crops

This supplication has been set out in "Iddatul Dai' for the protection of famers from animals who would destroy fruit or crop. It should be written on four pieces of cloth or paper and placed on four sides of the farm:

SUPPLICATION WHILE SNEEZING Sahifa Mahdi

It has arrived in the book Jannaat ul Khulood: While sneezing, it is recommended to indicate towards the nose with a finger and recited the following verses narrated from Imam Mahdi (A.S.):

All praises be for Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and may Allah bless Mohammad and his Progeny, while we are his servants whom remember Him, without being ignorant or arrogant. [1]
