إنّ اللّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلّونَ عَلَى النّبِيّ

inna all¡ha wa mal¡’ikatahu yu¥all£na `al¡ alnnabiyyi

Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet,

يَا أَيّهَا الّذِينَ آمَنُوَا صَلّوَا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلّمُوَا تَسْلِيماً،

y¡ ayyuh¡ alladhina ¡man£ ¥all£ `alayhi wa sallm£ tasliman

O you who believe: Call for Divine blessings on him and salute him with a becoming salutation

لَبّيْكَ يَارَبّ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَسُبْحَانَكَ.

labbayka y¡ rabbi wa sa`dayka wa subh¡naka

Here I am at Your service, my Lord! Doing that which pleases You, and glory be to You.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

wa b¡rik `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin

And send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

كَمَا صَلّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلَى إبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلِ إبْرَاهِيمَ

kam¡ ¥allayta wa b¡rakta `al¡ ibr¡hima wa ¡li ibr¡hima

In the same way as You have blessed and conferred benedictions upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham,

إنّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

innaka hamidun majidun

You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.

اللّهُمّ ارْحَمْ مُحَمّداً وَآلَ مُحَمّدٍ

all¡humma irham muhammadan wa ¡la muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) have mercy upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

كَمَا رَحِمْتَ إبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ إبْرَاهِيمَ

kam¡ rahimta ibr¡hima wa ¡la ibr¡hima

As You had mercy upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham,

إنّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

innaka hamidun majidun

You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.

اللّهُمّ سَلّمْ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

all¡humma sallm `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) send peace upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

كَمَا سَلّمْتَ عَلَى نُوحٍ فِي العَالَمِينَ.

kam¡ sallmta `al¡ n£hin fi al`¡lamina

As You sent peace upon Noah among all the creatures.

اللّهُمّ امْنُنْ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

all¡humma amnun `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) confer favors on Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ.

kam¡ mananta `al¡ m£s¡ wa h¡r£na

As You conferred a favor upon (Prophets) Moses and Aaron.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ كَمَا شَرّفْتَنَا بِهِ.

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin kam¡ sharrftan¡ bihi

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad as You have honored us by him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ كَمَا هَدَيْتَنَا بِهِ.

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin kam¡ hadaytan¡ bihi

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad as You have guided us through him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الأَوّلُونَ وَالآخِرُونَ،

wab`athhu maq¡man mahm£dan yaghbi§uhu bihi alaw£l£na wal-¡khir£na

And send his a praiseworthy standing due to which all the past and the coming generations shall covet him.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسٌ أَوْ غَرَبَتْ،

`al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi alssal¡mu kullm¡ §ala`at shamsun aw gharabat

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever the sun rises and sets.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا طَرَفَتْ عَيْنٌ أَوْ بَرَقَتْ،

`al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi alssal¡mu kullm¡ §arafat `aynun aw baraqat

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an eye twinkles or glitters.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا ذُكِرَ السّلامُ،

`al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi alssal¡mu kullm¡ dhukira alssal¡mu

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever peace is mentioned.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا سَبّحَ اللّهَ مَلَكٌ أَوْ قَدّسَهُ،

`al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi alssal¡mu kullm¡ sabbaha all¡ha malakun aw qaddasahu

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an angel glorifies or exalts Allah.

السّلامُ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي الأَوّلِينَ،

alssal¡mu `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi fi al-awwalina

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the past generations.

وَالسّلامُ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ،

wa alssal¡mu `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi fi al¡khirina

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the last generations.

وَالسّلامُ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي الدّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ.

wa alssal¡mu `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡lihi fi aldduny¡ wal-¡khirati

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household in this world and in the Hereafter.

اللّهُمّ رَبّ البَلَدِ الحَرَامِ،

all¡humma rabba albaladi alhar¡mi

O Allah; Lord of the Holy Town,

وَرَبّ الرّكْنِ وَالمَقَامِ،

wa rabba alrrukni wal-maq¡mi

And Lord of the Rukn and the Maq¡m,

وَرَبّ الحِلّ وَالحَرَامِ

wa rabba alhill wal-har¡mi

And the Lord of legality and sanctuary,

أَبْلِغْ مُحَمّداً نَبِيّكَ عَنَّا السّلامَ.

abligh muhammadan nabiyyaka `ann¡ alssal¡ma

(Please do) convey our greetings to Muhammad, Your Prophet.

اللّهُمّ أَعْطِ مُحَمّداً مِنَ البَهَاءِ وَالنّضْرَةِ

all¡humma a`§i muhammadan mina albah¡‘i wal-nna¤rati

O Allah: (please do) grant Muhammad brilliance and bloom

وَالسّرُورِ وَالكَرَامَةِ وَالغِبْطَةِ وَالوَسِيلَةِ

wal-ssur£ri wal-kar¡mati wal-ghib§ati wal-wasilati

And delight and honor and happiness and right of intervention

وَالمَنْزِلَةِ وَالمَقَامِ وَالشّرَفِ وَالرّفْعَةِ

wal-manzilati wal-maq¡mi wal-shsharafi wal-rrif`ati

And (exalted) rank and (exalted) position and nobility and elevation

وَالشّفَاعَةِ عِنْدَكَ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ

wal-shshaf¡`ati `indaka yawma alqiy¡mati

And right of intercession before You at the Resurrection Day

أَفْضَلَ مَا تُعْطِي أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ،

af¤ala m¡ tu`§y ahadan min khalqika

The best that You grant any of Your creations.

وَأَعْطِ مُحَمّداً فَوْقَ مَا تُعْطِي الخَلائِقَ

wa a`§i muhammadan fawqa m¡ tu`§y alkhal¡’iqa

And (please) grant Muhammad good that is more than what You grant Your creatures

مِنَ الخَيْرِ أَضْعَافاً كَثِيرَةً لا يُحْصِيهَا غَيْرُكَ.

mina alkhayri a¤`¡fan kathiratan l¡ yuh¥ih¡ ghayruka

With many folds that none can count save You.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadin wa ¡li muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

أَطْيَبَ وَأَطْهَرَ وَأَزْكَى وَأَنْمَى

a§iyaba wa a§hara wa azk¡ wa anm¡

With the most excellent, the purest, the most increasing, the most growing

وَأَفْضَلَ مَا صَلّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ

wa af¤ala m¡ ¥allayta `al¡ ahadin mina al-awwalina wal-¡khirina

And the best blessings that You have ever conferred on anyone from the past and the coming generations

وَعَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

wa `al¡ ahadin min khalqika y¡ arhama alrr¡himina

And on anyone of Your created beings; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ أَمِيرِ المُؤْمِنِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ `aliyy amiri almu´minina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ali, the Commander of the Believers,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who provoke his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man sharika fi damihi

And inflict double chastisement on anyone who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيّكَ مُحَمّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ f¡§imata binti nabiyyika muhammadin `alayhi wa ¡lihi alssal¡mu

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon F¡§imah, the daughter of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهَا،

wa wal-i man wal-¡h¡

And be the supporter of those who support her,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهَا،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡h¡

And be the enemy of him who provoke her enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهَا،

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamah¡

And inflict double chastisement on those who wronged her.

وَالعَنْ مَنْ آذَى نَبِيّكَ فِيهَا.

wal`an man ¡dh¡ nabiyyka fih¡

And curse those who injured Your Prophet as they injured her.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى الحَسَنِ وَالحُسَيْنِ إمَامَيِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ alhasani wal-husayni im¡mayi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two leaders of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُمَا،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hum¡

And be the supporter of anyone who supports them,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُمَا،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hum¡

And be the enemy of anyone who provoke their enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دِمَائِهِمَا.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man sharika fi dim¡’ihim¡

And inflict double chastisement on anyone who had a hand in the shedding of their blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ `aliyy bni alhusayni im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ali ibn al-Husayn, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدِ بْنِ عَلِيّ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadi bni `aliyy im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad ibn `Ali, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمّدٍ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ ja`fari bni muhammadin im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Ja`far ibn Muhammad, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ m£s¡ bni ja`farin im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon M£s¡ ibn Ja`far, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man sharika fi damihi

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who had hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ بْنِ مُوسَى إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ `aliyyin bni m£s¡ im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ali ibn M£s¡, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man sharika fi damihi

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدِ بْنِ عَلِيّ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ muhammadi bni `aliyyin im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad ibn `Ali, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ بْنِ مُحَمّدٍ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ `aliyy bni muhammadin im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ali ibn Muhammad, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى الحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيّ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ alhasani bni `aliyy im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon al-Hasan ibn `Ali, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa ¤¡`ifi al`adh¡ba `al¡ man ¨alamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى الخَلَفِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ alkhalafi min ba`dihi im¡mi almuslimina

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon the Successor after him, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-¡hu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَعَجّلْ فَرَجَهُ.

wa `ajjil farajahu

And expedite his Relief.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى القَاسِمِ وَالطَّاهِرِ ابْنَيْ نَبِيّكَ.

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ alq¡simi wal-§§¡hiri abnay nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon al-Q¡sim and al-±¡hir, the two sons of Your Prophet.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى رُقَيّةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيّكَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ ruqayyata binti nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Ruqayyah, the daughter of Your Prophet.

وَالعَنْ مَنْ آذَى نَبِيّكَ فِيهَا.

wal-`an man ¡dh¡ nabiyyaka fih¡

And curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى أُمّ كُلْثُومَ بِنْتِ نَبِيّكَ،

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ ‘umm kulth£ma binti nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Ummi-Kulth£m, the daughter of Your Prophet.

وَالعَنْ مَنْ آذَى نَبِيّكَ فِيهَا.

wal-`an man ¡dh¡ nabiyyaka fih¡

And curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى ذُرّيّةِ نَبِيّكَ.

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ dhurriyyati nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon the offspring of Your Prophet.

اللّهُمّ اخْلُفْ نَبِيّكَ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ.

all¡humma akhluf nabiyyaka fi ahli baytihi

O Allah: (please) be the representative of Your Prophet among his Household.

اللّهُمّ مَكّنْ لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ.

all¡humma makkin lahum fi alar¤i

O Allah: (please do) grant them power in the land.

اللّهُمّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ عَدَدِهِمْ وَمَدَدِهِمْ وَأَنْصَارِهِمْ عَلَى الحَقّ فِي السّرّ وَالعَلانِيَةِ.

all¡humma aj`aln¡ min `adadihim wa madadihim wa an¥¡rihim `al¡ alhaqqi fi alssirri wal-`al¡niyati

O Allah: (please do) include us with their troop, their aides, and their supporters on confirming the truth secretly and openly.

اللّهُمّ اطْلُبْ بِذَحْلِهِمْ وَوِتْرِهِمْ وَدِمَائِهِمْ،

all¡humma a§lub bidhahlihim wa witrihim wa dim¡’ihim

O Allah: (please do) retaliate upon those who wronged and slew them, and those who shed their blood.

وَكُفّ عَنَّا وَعَنْهُمْ وَعَنْ كُلّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ

wa kuffa `ann¡ wa `anhum wa `an kulli mu´minin wa mu´minatin

And (please) save us, them, and every believing man and women

بَأْسَ كُلّ بَاغٍ وَطَاغٍ

ba’sa kulli b¡ghin wa §¡ghin

The evil of all tyrants and transgressors,

وَكُلّ دَابّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

wa kulli d¡bbatin anta ¡khidhun bin¡¥iyatih¡

And every living creature that You hold it by its forelock.

إنّكَ أَشَدّ بَأْساً وَأَشَدّ تَنْكِيلاً.

innaka ashaddu ba’san wa ashadd tankilan

Verily, You are the strongest in prowess and the strongest to give an exemplary punishment.

يَا عُدّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي،

y¡ `uddaty fi kurbati

O my means in troubles:

وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدّتِي،

wa y¡ ¥¡hiby fi shiddati

O my Companion in hardships:

وَيَا وَلِيّي فِي نِعْمَتِي،

wa y¡ waliyyiy fi ni`mati

O the Provider of my amenities;

وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي،

wa y¡ gh¡iyaty fi raghbati

O the utmost of my desires.

أَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي،

anta alss¡tiru `awrati

It is You Who conceals my defects,

وَالْمُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتِي،

wal-mu´minu raw`ati

Who relieves my apprehensions,

وَالْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي،

wal-muqilu `athrati

and Who overlooks my slips;

فَاغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي.

faghfir li kha§i’ati

so, (please do) forgive my sin.

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

y¡ arhama alrr¡himina

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ لِهَمّ لا يُفَرّجُهُ غَيْرُكَ،

all¡humma inni ad`£ka lihammin l¡ yufarrijuhu ghayruka

O Allah: I beseech You about a grief that none can relieve save You,

وَلِرَحْمَةٍ لا تُنَالُ إلاَّ بِكَ،

wa lirahmatin l¡ tun¡lu ill¡ bika

And for mercy that cannot be attained except through You,

وَلِكَرْبٍ لا يَكْشِفُهُ إلاَّ أَنْتَ،

wa likarbin l¡ yakshifuhu ill¡ anta

And about hardship from which none can rescue except You

وَلِرَغْبَةٍ لا تُبْلَغُ إلاَّ بِكَ،

wa liraghbatin l¡ tublaghu ill¡ bika

And for desire that cannot be obtained except by You

وَلِحَاجَةٍ لا يَقْضِيهَا إلاَّ أَنْتَ.

wa lih¡jatin l¡ yaq¤ih¡ ill¡ anta

And for a need that none can settle save You.

اللّهُمّ فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ مَا أَذِنْتَ لِي بِهِ مِنْ مَسْأَلَتِكَ،

all¡humma fakam¡ k¡na min sha’nika m¡ adhinta li bihi min mas’alatika

O Allah: As You have decided to allow me to pray You,

وَرَحِمْتَنِي بِهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ

wa rahimtany bihi min dhikrika

And as You have had mercy upon me through allowing me to refer to You,

فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ سَيّدِي الإجَابَةُ لِي فِيمَا دَعَوْتُكَ،

falyakun min shanika sayyidy alij¡batu li fim¡ da`awtuka

So, please my Master, decide that my prayers are responded by You,

وَعَوَائِدُ الإفْضَالِ فِيمَا رَجَوْتُكَ،

wa `aw¡’idu alif¤¡li fim¡ rajawtuka

And confer upon me the favors for which I have hoped You,

وَالنّجَاةُ مِمَّا فَزِعْتُ إلَيْكَ فِيهِ،

wal-nnajatu mimm¡ fazi`tu ilayka fihi

And grant me redemption from that against which I have resorted to You.

فَإنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ أَهْلاً أَنْ أَبْلُغَ رَحْمَتَكَ

fa’in lam akun ahlan an ablugha rahmataka

But if I do not deserve to attain Your mercy,

فَإنّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَبْلُغَنِي وَتَسَعَنِي،

fa’inna rahmataka ahlun an tablughany wa tasa`ani

Then, Your mercy is too wide to avoid including and covering me.

وَإنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِلإجَابَةِ أَهْلاً

wa in lam akun lilij¡bati ahlan

And if I do not deserve Your response,

فَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الفَضْلِ،

fa’anta ahlu alfa¤li

Then, You are the worthiest of granting favors,

وَرَحْمَتُكَ وَسِعَتْ كُلّ شَيْءٍ،

wa rahmatuka wa si`at kull shay‘in

And Your mercy has covered all things,

فَلْتَسَعْنِي رَحْمَتُكَ يَا إلهِي

faltasa`ny rahmatuka y¡ il¡hy

So, let Your mercy include me, O my God.

يَا كَرِيمُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ الكَرِيمِ

y¡ karimu as’aluka biwajhika alkarimi

O the All-generous: I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face,

أَنْ تُصَلّيَ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ،

an tu¥alliya `al¡ muhammadin wa ahli baytihi

That You bless Muhammad and his Household,

وَأَنْ تُفَرّجَ هَمّي،

wa an tufarrija hammi

And that You relieve my grief,

وَتَكْشِفَ كَرْبِي وَغَمّي،

wa takshifa karby wa ghammi

And release me from my hardship and agony,

وَتَرْحَمَنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ،

wa tarhamany birahmatika

And have mercy upon me out of Your mercy,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ،

wa tarzuqany min fa¤lika

And confer on me with Your favor.

إنّكَ سَمِيعُ الدّعَاءِ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ.

innaka sami`u alddu`¡‘i qaribun mujibun

You are verily the Hearer of prayers, the Nigh, and the Responding.
