28. HIS DUA IN HIS SUJUD (PROSTRATION)

65. In al-Bi¦¡r: Narrated from ~Abdill¡h ibn Sin¡n from Ab¢ ~Abdill¡h XE "Ab¢ ~Abdill¡h"  D that when the Noble Prophet XE "Noble Prophet"  9 put his face (on the earth) for sujud, he would say:

أَللّٰهُمَّ مَغْفِرَتُكَ أَوْسَعُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي وَرَحْمَـتُكَ أَرْجى عِنْدِي مِنْ عَمَلِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي يَا حَيّاً لاَ يَمُوتُ.

O All¡h XE "All¡h" ! Your forgiveness is greater than my sins and I am more hopeful of Your mercy than of my actions, so forgive my sins O Living who never dies![i]
