Wednesday Rites


بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱللَّيلَ لِبَاساً
alhamdu lillahi alladhi ja`ala allayla libasan
All praise be to Allah Who appointed the night to be a garment,

وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتاً
walnnawma subatan
and sleep for a rest,

وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُوراً
wa ja`ala alnnahara nushuran
and day He appointed for a rising!

لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ أَنْ بَعَثْتَنِي مِنْ مَرْقَدِي
laka alhamdu an ba`athtani min marqadi
To You belongs praise, for You roused me from my sleep,

وَلَوْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْتَهُ سَرْمَداً
wa law shi'ta ja`altahu sarmadan
and had You willed, You would have made it everlasting;

حَمْداً دَائِماً لاَ يَنْقَطِعُ اَبَداً
hamdan da'iman la yanqati`u abadan
an endless praise that will never be cut off

وَلاَ يُحْصِي لَهُ ٱلخَلائِقُ عَدَداً
wa la yuhsi lahu alkhala'iqu `adadan
and whose number the creatures will never count!

اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ أَنْ خَلَقْتَ فَسَوَّيْتَ
allahumma laka alhamdu an khalaqta fasawwayta
O Allah, to You belongs praise, for You created, then fashioned,

وَقَدَّرْتَ وَقَضَيْتَ
wa qaddarta wa qadayta
ordained and decreed,

وَ أَمَتَّ وَ أَحْيَيْتَ
wa amatta wa ahyayta
gave death and bestowed life,

وَ أَمْرَضْتَ وَشَفَيْتَ
wa amradta wa shafayta
made sick and healed,

وَعَافَيْتَ وَ أَبْلَيْتَ
wa `afayta wa ablayta
made well and afflicted,

وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَيْتَ
wa `ala al`arshi istawayta
established the Throne

وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمُلْكِ ٱحْتَوَيْتَ
wa `ala almulki ihtawayta
and encompassed the Kingdom!

أَدْعُوكَ دُعَاءَ مَنْ ضَعُفَتْ وَسِيلَتُهُ
ad`uka du`a'a man da`ufat wasilatuhu
I supplicate You with the supplication of one whose mediation is weak,

وَٱنْقَطَعَتْ حِيلَتُهُ
wanqata`at hilatuhu
whose stratagems have been cut off,

وَٱقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُ
waqtaraba ajaluhu
whose term has drawn near,

وَتَدَانَىٰ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا أَمَلُهُ
wa tadana fi alddunya amaluhu
whose expectation from this world has shrunk,

وَٱشْتَدَّتْ إِلَىٰ رَحْمَتِكَ فَاقَتُهُ
wa ishtaddat ila rahmatika faqatuhu
whose neediness for Your mercy has intensified,

وَعَظُمَتْ لِتَفْرِيطِهِ حَسْرَتُهُ
wa `azumat litafritihi hasratuhu
whose remorse for his neglect has become great,

وَكَثُرَتْ زَلَّتُهُ وَعَثْرَتُهُ
wa kathurat zallatuhu wa `athratuhu
whose slips and stumbles have become many,

وَخَلُصَتْ لِوَجْهِكَ تَوْبَتُهُ
wa khalusat liwajhika tawbatuhu
and whose repentance is devoted sincerely to Your face.

فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ
fasalli `ala muhammadin
So, bless Muhammad,

خَاتَمِ النَّبِيّينَ
khatami alnnabiyyina
the Seal of the Prophets,

وَعَلَىٰ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
wa `ala ahli baytihi alttayyibina alttahirina
and his Household, the good, the pure,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي شَفَاعَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ
warzuqni shafa`ata muhammadin
and provide me with the intercession of Muhammad,

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
Allah bless him and his Household,

وَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي صُحْبَتَهُ
wa la tahrimni suhbatahu
and deprive me not of his companionship!

إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
innaka anta arhamu arrahimina
Surely, You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱقْضِ لِي فِي ٱلأَرْبِعَاءِ اَرْبَعاً
allahumma iqdi li fil-arbu`a'i arba`an
O Allah, decree for me on Wednesday four things:

إِجْعَلْ قُوَّتِي فِي طَاعَتِكَ
ij`al quwwati fi ta`atika
Induce me to be strong in obedience to You,

وَنَشَاطِي فِي عِبَادَتِكَ
wa nashati fi `ibadatika
to be active in worshiping You,

وَرَغْبَتِي فِي ثَوَابِكَ
wa raghbati fi thawabika
to be desirous for Your reward,

وَزُهْدِي فِيمَا يُوجِبُ لِي أَلِيمَ عِقَابِكَ
wa zuhdi fima yujibu li alima `iqabika
and to abstain from that which would make incumbent upon me Your painful punishment!

إِنَّكَ لَطِيفٌ لِمَا تَشَاءُ
innaka latifun lima tasha'u
You are Gentle to whom You will!





Dua of Syeda Fatima (peace be upon her) for Wednesday


اَللّٰهُمَّ احْرُسْنَا بِعَيْنِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا تَنَامُ،
allaahummah rusnaa be-a’ynekal latee laa tanaamo
O God, protect us through the eyes that never sleep

وَ رُكْنِكَ الَّذِيْ لَا يُرَامُ،
wa ruknekal lazee laa yoraamo,
and through that support, which no one can reach.

وَ بِاَسْمَائِكَ الْعِظَامِ،
wa be-asmaa-ekal e’zaame,
And through your great names,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ،
wa salle a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi,
O God, have mercy on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad

وَ احْفَظْ عَلَيْنَا مَا لَوْ حَفِظَهٗ
wah faz a’laynaa maa law hafezahu
and keep this faith of ours safe. Which if it had been secured by anyone else, it would have been destroyed

غَيْرُكَ ضَاعَ وَ اسْتُرْ عَلَيْنَا مَا لَوْ سَتَرَهٗ غَيْرُكَ شَاعَ،
ghayroka zaa-a’ was tur a’laynaa maa law satarahu ghayroka shaa-a’,
And conceal our defect. If anyone other than You had concealed them, they would have been divulged

وَ اجْعَلْ كُلَّ ذٰلِكَ لَنَا مِطْوَاعًا اِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاءِ،
waj a’l kulla zaaleka lanaa mitwaa-a’n innaka samee-u’d do-a’a-e,
and make all those things subservient to us, as indeed You are the one, who hears the supplications,

قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبٌ.‏
qareebun mojeebun.
nearest to the servants and one who accepts their plea.

بِسْمِ اﷲِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیْ مَرَضَاتُہٗ فِی الطَّلَبِ اِلَیْہِ
Al-ḥamdu li-llāhi alladhī marḍātuhu fī ṭ-ṭalabi ilayh
All praise is for Allah whose pleasure lies in seeking Him

وَ اِلْتِمَاسِ مَا لَدَیہِ وَسَخْطُہٗ فِیْ تَرْکِ الْاِلْحَاحِ
Wa iltimāsi mā ladayhi wa sakhaṭuhu fī tarki l-ilḥāḥ
And in asking for what is with Him, and His غضب in abandoning persistence

فِیْ الْمَسْئَلَۃِ عَلَیْہِ وَ سُبْحَانَ اﷲِ شَاہِدُ کُلِّ نَجْوٰی
Fī l-mas’alati ʿalayh wa subḥāna llāhi shāhidu kulli najwā
In supplication to Him; glory be to Allah, witness to every secret talk

بِعِلْمِہٖ وَ مُبَآئِنِ کُلِّ ذِیْ جِسْمٍ بِنَفْسِہٖ
Bi-ʿilmihī wa mubā’ini kulli dhī jism-in binafsih
By His knowledge, distinct from every corporeal being in His essence

وَلَآ اِلٰہَ اِلاَّ اﷲُ الَّذِیْ لاَ یُدْرَکُ بِالْعُیُوْنِ
Wa lā ilāha illā llāhu alladhī lā yudraku bil-ʿuyūn
There is no god but Allah, who is not perceived by eyes

وَالْاَبْصَارِ وَ لاَ یُجْہَلُ بِالْعُقُوْلِ وَالْاَلْبَابِ
Wal-abṣār wa lā yujhalu bil-ʿuqūl wal-albāb
Nor is He unknown to intellects and understanding

وَ یُخْلَقُ مِنَ الضَّمِیْرِ
Wa yukhlaqu mina ḍ-ḍamīr
And He is conceived within the inner conscience

وَ یَعْلَمُ خَآئِنَۃَ الْاَعْیَنِ وَمَا تَخْفِی الصُّدُوْرِ
Wa yaʿlamu khā’inata l-aʿyuni wa mā tukhfī ṣ-ṣudūr
He knows the betrayal of the eyes and what the hearts conceal

وَاﷲُ اَکْبَرُ الْمُتَجَلِّلُ عَنْ صِفَاتِ الْمَخْلُوْقِیْنَ
Wa llāhu akbaru l-mutajallilu ʿan ṣifāti l-makhlūqīn
Allah is the Greatest, exalted above the attributes of creation

الْمُطِّعُ عَلٰی مَافِیْ قُلُوْبِ الْخَلَآئِقِ اَجْمَعِیْنَ
Al-muṭṭiʿu ʿalā mā fī qulūbi l-khalā’iqi ajmaʿīn
Fully aware of what is in the hearts of all creation

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ سُؤَالَ مَنْ لاَ یَمِلُّ دُعَآءَ رَبِّہٖ
Allāhumma innī as’aluka su’āla man lā yamillu duʿā’a rabbih
O Allah, I ask You like one who never tires of calling upon his Lord

وَ اَتَضَرَّعُ اِلَیْکَ تَضَرَّعُ غَرِیْقٍ یَرْجُوْا کَشْفَ کُرْبِہٖ
Wa ataḍarraʿu ilayka taḍarruʿa gharīqin yarjū kashfa kurbih
And I plead to You like a drowning one hoping relief

وَ اَبْتَہِلُ اِلَیْکَ اِبْتِہَالِ تَآئِبٍ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِہٖ
Wa abtahilu ilayka ibtihāla tā’ibin min dhunūbih
And I implore You like a repentant sinner from his sins

وَ خَطَایَاہُ وَ اَنْتَ الرَّئُوْفُ الَّذِیْ مَلَکْتَ الْخَلَآئِقَ
Wa khaṭāyāhu wa anta r-ra’ūfu alladhī malakta l-khalā’iq
And his errors; You are the Most Kind who owns all creation

كَلُّهُمْ وَفَطَرْتَهُمْ أَجْنَاسًا مُخْتَلِفَاتِ الْأَلْوَانِ
Kulluhum wa faṭartahum ajnāsan mukhtalifāti l-alwān
All of them; You created them as diverse kinds and colors

وَالْأَقْدَارِ عَلَى مَشِيَّتِكَ وَقَدَّرْتَ آجَالَهُمْ
Wal-aqdār ʿalā mashī’atika wa qaddarta ājālahum
And conditions by Your will, and You determined their lifespans

وَأَرْزَاقَهُمْ فَلَمْ يَتَعَاظَمْكَ خَلْقُ خَلْقٍ
Wa arzāqahum fa lam yataʿāẓamka khalqu khalq
And their provisions; no creation is too great for You

حَتَّى كَوَّنْتَهُ كَمَا شِئْتَ مُخْتَلِفًا مِمَّا شِئْتَ
Ḥattā kawwantahu kamā shi’ta mukhtalifan mimmā shi’ta
Until You formed it as You willed, different as You wished

فَتَعَالَيْتَ وَتَجَبَّرْتَ عَنِ اتِّخَاذِ وَزِيرٍ
Fataʿālayta wa tajabbarta ʿani ttikhādhi wazīr
So You are exalted, beyond taking any minister

وَتَعَزَّزْتَ عَنْ مُوَازَرَةِ شَرِيكٍ
Wa taʿazzazta ʿan muwāzarati sharīk
And You are mighty beyond needing a partner

وَتَنَزَّهْتَ عَنِ اتِّخَاذِ الْأَبْنَاءِ
Wa tanazzahhta ʿani ttikhādhi l-abnā’
And You are pure from taking sons

وَتَقَدَّسْتَ عَنْ مَلَامَسَةِ النِّسَاءِ
Wa taqaddasta ʿan malāmasati n-nisā’
And sanctified from any contact with النساء

فَلَيْسَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ بِمُدْرِكَةٍ لَكَ
Falaysati l-abṣāru bimudrikatin lak
Eyes cannot perceive You

وَلَيْسَتِ الْأَوْهَامُ بِوَاقِعَةٍ عَلَيْكَ
Wa laysati l-awhāmu biwāqiʿatin ʿalayk
Nor can imaginations grasp You

وَلَيْسَ لَكَ شَرِيكٌ وَلَا نِدٌّ وَلَا عَدِيلٌ
Wa laysa laka sharīkun wa lā niddun wa lā ʿadīl
You have no partner, no equal, no counterpart

وَلَا نَظِيرٌ وَأَنْتَ الْفَرْدُ الْوَاحِدُ الدَّائِمُ
Wa lā naẓīr wa anta l-fardu l-wāḥidu d-dā’im
No likeness; You are the One, the Eternal

الْأَوَّلُ الْآخِرُ وَالْعَالِمُ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ
Al-awwalu l-ākhir wal-ʿālimu l-aḥadu ṣ-ṣamad
The First, the Last, the All-Knowing, the One, the Absolute

الْقَائِمُ الَّذِي لَمْ تَلِدْ وَلَمْ تُولَدْ
Al-qā’imu alladhī lam talid wa lam tūlad
The Self-subsisting, who neither begets nor is born

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Wa lam yakun laka kufuwan aḥad
And none is comparable to You

لاَ تَنَالُ بِوَصْفٍ وَلاَ تُدْرَكُ بِوَهْمٍ
Lā tanālu biwaṣfin wa lā tudraku biwahm
You cannot be reached by description nor grasped by imagination

وَلاَ تُغَيِّرُكَ فِي مَرِّ الدُّهُورِ صَرْفٌ
Wa lā tughayyiruka fī marrid-duhūr ṣarf
Changes of time do not affect You

كُنْتَ أَزَلِيًّا لَمْ تَزَلْ وَلَا تَزَالُ
Kunta azalīyyan lam tazal wa lā tazāl
You were eternal, ever-existing without beginning or end

وَعِلْمُكَ بِالْأَشْيَاءِ فِي الْخِفَاءِ
Wa ʿilmuka bil-ashyā’i fī l-khafā’
Your knowledge of things in secrecy

كَعِلْمِكَ بِهَا فِي الْإِجْهَارِ وَالْإِعْلَانِ
Kaʿilmika bihā fī l-ijhār wal-iʿlān
Is like Your knowledge of them in openness and declaration

فَيَا مَنْ ذَلَّتْ لِعَظَمَتِهِ الْعُظَمَاءُ
Fayā man dhallat liʿaẓamatihi l-ʿuẓamā’
O One before whose greatness the mighty are humbled

وَخَضَعَتْ لِعِزَّتِهِ الرُّؤَسَاءُ
Wa khaḍaʿat liʿizzatihi r-ru’asā’
And leaders submit to His might

وَمَنْ كَلَّتْ عَنْ بُلُوغِ ذَاتِهِ أَلْسُنُ الْبُلَغَاءِ
Wa man kallat ʿan bulūghi dhātihi alsunu l-bulaghā’
And eloquent tongues fail to reach His essence

وَمَنْ أَحْكَمَ تَدْبِيرَ الْأَشْيَاءِ
Wa man aḥkama tadbīra l-ashyā’
And He who perfected the management of all things

وَاسْتَعْجَمَتْ عَنْ إِدْرَاكِهِ عِبَارَةُ عُلُومِ الْعُلَمَاءِ
Wastaʿjamat ʿan idrākihi ʿibāratu ʿulūmi l-ʿulamā’
And the expressions of scholars fail to comprehend Him

يَا سَيِّدِي أَتُعَذِّبُنِي بِالنَّارِ وَأَنْتَ أَمَلِي
Yā sayyidī atuʿadhibunī bin-nār wa anta amalī
My Master, will You punish me with fire while You are my hope

أَوْ تُسَلِّطُهَا عَلَيَّ بَعْدَ إِقْرَارِي بِالتَّوْحِيدِ
Aw tusalliṭuhā ʿalayya baʿda iqrārī bit-tawḥīd
Or unleash it upon me after my confession of Your Oneness

وَخُضُوعِي وَخُشُوعِي لَكَ بِالسُّجُودِ
Wa khuḍūʿī wa khushūʿī laka bis-sujūd
And my humility and submission in سجود to You

اَوْ تُلَجْلِجُ لِسَانِي فِي الْمَوْقِفِ
Aw tulajliju lisānī fī l-mawqif
Or cause my tongue to falter at the standing

وَقَدْ مَهَّدْتَ لِي بِمَنِّكَ سُبُلَ الْوُصُولِ
Wa qad mahhadta lī bimannika subula l-wuṣūl
While You have paved for me paths to reach You

إِلَى التَّسْبِيحِ وَالتَّحْمِيدِ وَالتَّمْجِيدِ
Ilā t-tasbīḥ wat-taḥmīd wat-tamjīd
Toward glorification, praise, and exaltation

فَيَا غَايَةَ الطَّالِبِينَ وَأَمَانَ الْخَائِفِينَ
Fayā ghāyata ṭ-ṭālibīn wa amāna l-khā’ifīn
O ultimate goal of seekers and أمن for the fearful

وَعِمَادَ الْمَلْهُوفِينَ وَغِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ
Wa ʿimāda l-malhūfīn wa ghiyātha l-mustaghīthīn
Support of the distressed and helper of those who seek aid

وَجَارَ الْمُسْتَجِيرِينَ وَكَاشِفَ ضُرِّ الْمَكْرُوبِينَ
Wa jāra l-mustajīrīn wa kāshifa ḍurri l-makrūbīn
Protector of those who seek refuge and remover of distress

وَرَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَأَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Wa rabba l-ʿālamīn wa arḥama r-rāḥimīn
Lord of the worlds and the Most Merciful of the merciful

صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ وَأَلْبِسْنِي الْعَافِيَةَ
Wa tub ʿalayya wa albisnī l-ʿāfiyah
Accept my repentance and clothe me in well-being

وَارْزُقْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا
Warzuqnī min faḍlika rizqan wāsiʿā
And grant me abundant provision from Your فضل

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ
Wajʿalnī mina t-tawwābīn
And make me among those who constantly repent

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ كَتَبْتَنِي شَقِيًّا عِنْدَكَ
Allāhumma in kunta katabtani shaqiyyan ʿindak
O Allah, if You have written me among the wretched

فَإِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَعَاقِدِ الْعِزِّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ
Fa innī as’aluka bimaʿāqidi l-ʿizzi min raḥmatik
Then I ask You by the knots of honor in Your mercy

بِالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ الَّتِي لَا يُقَاوِمُهَا أَحَدٌ
Bil-kibriyā’i wal-ʿaẓamah allatī lā yuqāwimuhā aḥad
By Your majesty and greatness which none can resist

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
An tuṣalliya ʿalā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad
That You send blessings upon Muhammad and his family

وَأَنْ تُحَوِّلَنِي سَعِيدًا
Wa an tuḥawwilani saʿīdā
And change my state to one of happiness

فَإِنَّكَ تُجْرِي الْأُمُورَ عَلَى إِرَادَتِكَ
Fa innaka تُجْرِي l-umūra ʿalā irādatik
For You run all affairs according to Your will

وَتُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْكَ
Wa tujīru wa lā yujāru ʿalayk
You grant refuge and none can oppose You

وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Wa anta ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr
And You have power over all things

وَأَنْتَ الرَّءُوفُ الرَّحِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ
Wa anta r-ra’ūfu r-raḥīm al-khabīr
And You are the Kind, the Merciful, the All-aware

تَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِي وَلَا أَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِكَ
Taʿlamu mā fī nafsī wa lā aʿlamu mā fī nafsik
You know what is within me, and I do not know what is within You

إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ
Innaka anta ʿallāmu l-ghuyūb
Surely You are the Knower of the unseen

فَالْطُفْ بِي فَقَدِيمًا لَطُفْتَ بِمُسْرِفٍ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ
Falṭuf bī faqadīman laṭufta bimusrifin ʿalā nafsih
So be gentle with me, for You have been gentle before

فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ فَقَدْ مَنَنْتَ عَلَى غَرِيقٍ
Famnun ʿalayya faqad mananta ʿalā gharīq
Bestow upon me, as You bestowed upon one drowning

فِي بُحُورِ خَطِيئَةٍ هَائِمًا
Fī buḥūri khaṭī’ah hā’imā
Lost in oceans of sin

أَسْلَمْتَهُ لِلْحُتُوفِ كَثْرَةُ زَلَلِهِ
Aslamtahu lil-ḥutūf kathratu zalalih
Whom many slips had delivered to destruction

وَتَطَوَّلْ عَلَيَّ يَا مُتَطَوِّلًا عَلَى الْمُذْنِبِينَ
Wa taṭawwal ʿalayya yā mutaṭawwilan ʿalā l-mudhnibīn
And extend Your favor upon me, O Bestower upon sinners

بِالصَّفْحِ وَالْعَفْوِ
Biṣ-ṣafḥ wal-ʿafw
With pardon and forgiveness

فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تَزَلْ آخِذًا بِالْفَضْلِ عَلَى الْخَاطِئِينَ
Fa innaka lam tazal ākhidhan bil-faḍl ʿalā l-khāṭi’īn
For You have always dealt with sinners by grace

وَالصَّفْحِ عَلَى الْعَاثِرِينَ
Waṣ-ṣafḥ ʿalā l-ʿāthirīn
And pardon toward those who stumble

وَمَنْ وَجَبَ لَهُ بِاجْتِرَائِهِ عَلَى الْآثَامِ
Wa man wajaba lahu bijtirā’ihi ʿalā l-āthām
Even one deserving punishment for bold sins

حُلُولَ دَارِ الْبَوَارِ
Ḥulūla dāri l-bawār
The abode of ruin

يَا عَالِمَ الْخَفِيَّاتِ وَالْأَسْرَارِ
Yā ʿālima l-khafiyyāt wal-asrār
O Knower of hidden things and secrets

يَا جَبَّارُ يَا قَهَّارُ
Yā jabbār yā qahhār
O Compeller, O Subduer

وَمَا أَلْزَمْتَنِي مِنْ فَرْضِ الْآبَاءِ وَالْأُمَّهَاتِ
Wa mā alzamtanī min farḍi l-ābā’ wal-ummahāt
And what You have obligated upon me toward parents

وَوَاجِبِ حُقُوقِهِمْ مَعَ الْإِخْوَانِ وَالْأَخَوَاتِ
Wa wājibi ḥuqūqihim maʿa l-ikhwān wal-akhawāt
And their rights along with brothers and sisters

فَاحْتَمِلْ ذَلِكَ عَنِّي إِلَيْهِمْ وَأَدِّهِ
Faḥtamil dhālika ʿannī ilayhim wa addih
Then bear it on my behalf and fulfill it

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
Yā dhā l-jalāli wal-ikrām
O Possessor of Majesty and Honor

وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
Waghfir lil-mu’minīna wal-mu’mināt
And forgive the believing men and women

إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Innaka ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr
Surely You have power over all things

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَوْلِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alaykum ya awliya'a allahi
Peace be upon you [all], O saints of Allah!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا حُجَجَ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alaykum ya hujaja allahi
Peace be upon you, O arguments of Allah!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا نُورَ ٱللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ ٱلأَرْضِ
alssalamu `alaykum ya nura allahi fi zulumati al-ardi
Peace be upon you, O light of Allah in the darkness of the earth!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ
alssalamu `alaykum
Peace be upon you.

صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
salawatu allahi `alaykum
Blessings of Allah be upon you

وَعَلَىٰ آلِ بَيْتِكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
wa `ala ali baytikumu alttayyibina alttahirina
and upon your Household, the pure and immaculate.

بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَأُمِّي
bi-abi antum wa ummi
May Allah accept my father and mother as ransoms for you!

لَقَدْ عَبَدْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ
laqad `abadtumu allaha mukhlisina
Indeed, you worshipped Allah sincerely

وَجَاهَدْتُمْ فِي ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
wa jahadtum fi allahi haqqa jihadihi
and strove for His sake with due strife

حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكُمُ ٱلْيَقِينُ
hatta atakumu alyaqinu
until death came upon you.

فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أَعْدَاءكُمْ
fala`ana allahu a`da'akum
So, may Allah curse all your enemies

مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنْسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
mina aljinni wal-insi ajma`ina
from the jinn and human beings.

وَأَنَا أَبْرَأُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ
wa ana abra'u ila allahi wa ilaykum minhum
And I release myself before Allah and before you from them (i.e. your enemies).

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ
ya mawlaya ya aba ibrahima
O my master, O Abu-Ibrahim,

مُوسَىٰ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ
musa ibna ja`farin
Musa, the son of Ja`far!

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا ٱلْحَسَنِ
ya mawlaya ya aba alhasani
O my master, O Abu’l-Hasan,

عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوسَىٰ
`aliyya ibna musa
`Ali, the son of Musa!

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ
ya mawlaya ya aba ja`farin
O my master, O Abu-Ja`far,

مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ
muhammada ibna `aliyyin
Muhammad, the son of `Ali!

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا ٱلْحَسَنِ
ya mawlaya ya aba alhasani
O my master, O Abu’l-Hasan,

عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ
`aliyya ibna muhammadin
`Ali, the son of Muhammad!

أَنَا مَوْلىٰ لَكُمْ
ana mawlan lakum
I am your servant,

مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَجَهْرِكُمْ
mu'minun bisirrikum wa jahrikum
I believe in your secret and open affairs,

مُتَضَيِّفٌ بِكُمْ في يَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَا
mutadayyifun bikum fi yawmikum hadha
and I am staying with you as your guest, on this day,

وَهُوَ يَوْمُ ٱلْأَرْبِعَاءِ
wa huwa yawmu al-arbi`a'i
which is Wednesday,

وَمُسْتَجِيـرٌ بِكُمْ
wa mustajirun bikum
and I am in your vicinity;

فَأَضِيفُونِي وَأَجِيرُونِي
fa-adifuni wa ajiruni
so, receive me as your guest and neighbor,

بِآلِ بَيْتِكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
bi-ali baytikumu alttayyibina alttahirina
[I ask you] by your Household, the pure and immaculate.


Tasbih | Isteaz |Rizq Wed. dua


Tasbih
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent and Merciful.

‏ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ الْأَنْعَامُ بِأَصْوَاتِهَا يَقُولُونَ سُبُّوحاً قُدُّوساً
Glory be to Him who The Cattles do glory Him with their voice saying: O, the Oft-Praised and Sacred!

سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْحَقِّ الْمُبِينِ
Glory be to the Manifest, Truth Master.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ الْبِحَارُ بِأَمْوَاجِهَا
Glory be to Him Who The Seas do glory Him with its waves!

سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ بِحَمْدِكَ
Glory be to you, Our Allah, and Praise in you.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَلَائِكَةُ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِأَصْوَاتِهَا
Glory be to Him, Who The Angels of Heavens do Glory him with their voices!

[سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْمَحْمُودِ فِي كُلِّ مَقَالَةٍ [مَقَالِهِ‏
Glory be to Allah, who is Praised in every discourse!

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ الْكُرْسِيُّ وَ مَا حَوْلَهُ وَ مَا تَحْتَهُ
Glory be to Allah, who is glorified by The throne from around and under it!

سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْجَبَّارِ الَّذِي مَلَأَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعَ وَ الْأَرَضِينَ السَّبْعَ
Glory be to The most Powerful Master, who His Throne has filled the seven havens and The seven earths!

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بِعَدَدِ مَا سَبَّحَهُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ
Glory be to Allah at the amount of how much the praises do glory Him!

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ بِعَدَدِ مَا حَمِدَهُ الْحَامِدُونَ
All praises are to Allah at the amount of how much The Praiser does thanks Him!

وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ بِعَدَدِ مَا هَلَّلَهُ الْمُهَلِّلُونَ
And there is no god but You! at the amount of whom do declare worship only for You.

وَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ بِعَدَدِ مَا كَبَّرَهُ الْمُكَبِّرُونَ
And Allah is the Magnificent! At the amount of whom do magnify Him!

وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ بِعَدَدِ مَا اسْتَغْفَرَهُ الْمُسْتَغْفِرُونَ
And I ask God's forgiveness! At the number of whom do Implor for His forgiveness!

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
And there is no power and strength except with Allah, the Most High, the All-great;

بِعَدَدِ مَا قَالَهُ الْقَائِلُونَ
at the number of people who say it!

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
And Allah's Blessings be upon Muhammed and his Household;

بِعَدَدِ مَا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ الْمُصَلُّونَ
at the amount of whom do send their blessings upon Him!

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Glory be to You, There is no God save you!

تُسَبِّحُ لَكَ الدَّوَابُّ فِي مَرَاعِيهَا
The livestock; do glorify you in their rangeland,

وَ الْوُحُوشُ فِي مَظَانِّهَا
The Wild animals; do glorify you in Their most likely place,

وَ السِّبَاعُ فِي فَلَوَاتِهَا
The predatory beasts do glorify you in their landscape,

وَ الطَّيْرُ فِي وُكُورِهَا
and The birds do glorify you in their nests!

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Glory to you, There is no God save you,

تُسَبِّحُ لَكَ الْبِحَارُ بِأَمْوَاجِهَا
glorified You are by; The oceans' waves,

وَ الْحِيتَانُ فِي مِيَاهِهَا
The whales in its water,

وَ الْمِيَاهُ [فِي‏] عَلَى مَجَارِيهَا
The water in its rivers

وَ الْهَوَامُّ فِي أَمَاكِنِهَا
and the vermin in its places!

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Glory to you, There is no God save you;

الْجَوَادُ الَّذِي لَا يَبْخَلُ
the Generous Who is never a miser,

الْغَنِيُّ الَّذِي لَا يُعْدِمُ
the All-Sufficient who is never missing,

الْجَدِيدُ الَّذِي لَا يَبْلَى
the Unprecedented who is never worn out!

الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الْبَاقِي الَّذِي تَسَرْبَلَ بِالْبَقَاءِ
All Praise to Allah; The Remaining, who demonstrates Himself through his present.

الدَّائِمُ الَّذِي لَا يَفْنَى
The Perpetual, Who will never cease to exist!

الْعَزِيزُ الَّذِي لَا يَذِلُّ
The Noble, Who will not be humiliated!

الْمَلِكُ الَّذِي لَا يَزُولُ
The Ruler, who will not be removed!

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Glory to you, There is no God save you;

الْقَائِمُ الَّذِي لَا يَفْنَى
The Upright, Who is imperishable!

الدَّائِمُ الَّذِي لَا يَبِيدُ
The Perpetual, Who is imperishable!

الْعَلِيمُ الَّذِي لَا يَرْتَابُ
The All-Knowing, Who will not raise a doubt!

الْبَصِيرُ الَّذِي [لَا يَلْهُو] لَا يَضِلُّ
The All-Seeing, Who will not go astray!

الْحَلِيمُ الَّذِي لَا يَجْهَلُ
The Forbearing, Who will not ignore!

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Glory to you, There is no God save you,

الْحَكِيمُ الَّذِي لَا يَحِيفُ الرَّقِيبُ
The Wise, Who will never be oppressive!

الَّذِي لَا يَسْهُو الْمُحِيطُ
The Watcher, Who will never forget one thing over another!

الَّذِي لَا يَلْهُو الشَّاهِدُ
The Encompasser, Who is never engrossed with a thing to overlook another!

الَّذِي لَا يَغِيبُ
The Witness, Who will never is absent!

سُبْحَانَكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Glory to you, There is no God save you;

الْقَوِيُّ الَّذِي لَا يُرَامُ
The All-Powerful, Who will never be in harm!

الْعَزِيزُ الَّذِي لَا يُضَامُ
The Noble, Who is invulnerable!

السُّلْطَانُ الَّذِي لَا يُغْلَبُ
The King, Who will never be overcome!

الْمُدْرِكُ الَّذِي لَا يُدْرَكُ
The Percipient, who will never be perceived!

الطَّالِبُ الَّذِي لَا يَعْجِزُ
The Demandant, who will never be incapable!

Seek Protection

Seek Protection
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ‏
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate.

‏ أُعِيذُ نَفْسِي بِالْأَحَدِ الصَّمَدِ
I seek the protection of you; the One, the Refuge,

مِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
from the evil of what is blown on, knotted,

وَ مِنْ شَرِّ ابْنِ قِتْرَةَ وَ مَا وَلَدَ
and from the evil of Abu Mura (Satan) and what he has begotten.

أَسْتَعِيذُ بِاللهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْأَعْلَى
I seek your protection; the One, the Highest,

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا رَأَتْ عَيْنِي وَ مَا لَمْ تَرَ
from that which the eye sees and does not see.

أَسْتَعِيذُ بِاللهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْفَرْدِ الْكَبِيرِ الْأَعْلَى
I seek your protection in the Unequalled, the Great,

مِنْ شَرِّ مَنْ أَرَادَنِي بِأَمْرٍ عَسِيرٍ
from the evil of what it intends for you (by the decree of the Sovereign).

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammed and his Household;

وَ اجْعَلْنِي فِي جِوَارِكَ وَ حِصْنِكَ الْحَصِينِ
Therefore, go, O, to the protection of Allah,

الْعَزِيزِ الْجَبَّارِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ الْقَهَّارِ
the Mighty, the Omnipotent, the King, the Most Holy, the Subduer,

السَّلَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمُهَيْمِنِ الْغَفَّارِ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ
the Perfect, the Faithful, the Guardian, the Mighty, the All-forgiving, the Knower of the unseen,

وَ الشَّهَادَةِ الْكَبِيرِ الْمُتَعَالِ
and the apparent, the Great and the Most High.

هُوَ اللهُ هُوَ اللهُ هُوَ اللهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
He is Allah; He is Allah; He is Allah; no partner he has;

مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, blessings,

وَ سَلَّمَ كَثِيراً
and mercy of Allah on him and his family.

Perform this ritual every Wednesday.From the proven supplications of Shaykh Mufid for seeking sustenance
Recite the Verse 42:19 of sustenance 7 seven times
اَللهُ لَطِيْفٌ بِعِبَادِهِ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَآءُ وَ هُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيْزُ.
Allaahu lat’eefum bi-i’baadihi yarzuqu mayn ya shaa-u wa huwal qaweeyul a’zeez.
Allah is Benignant to His servants; He gives sustenance to whom He pleases, and He is the Strong, the Mighty.[6]

Also recite the following dua seven times: [7]
اَللَّهُمَّ اَدِمْ نِعْمَتَكَ وَ الْطُفْ بِنَا فِيْمَا قَدَّرْتَهُ.
Allaahumma adim ni’mataka walt’uf binaa feemaa qaddartah.
O Allah make permanent Your bounty and Your Grace for us in what You have ordained.

Prayer for Wednesday 1
The prayer for this day is two rakats. In every rakat after Surah Hamd recite Surah Zilzaal once and Surah Tawheed thrice. For one who recites this prayer the Almighty removes the darkness from his grave till Qiyamat.

Prayer for Wednesday 2
It is narrated from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) that one who recites four rakats prayer on Wednesday and in each rakat after Surah Hamd recites Surah Tawheed and Surah Qadr once the Almighty would accept his repentance, forgive all his sins and marry him to the houries of Paradise.

DUA for night

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ‏
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

‏ سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
Glory be to You, our Lord, and praise for You;

أَنْتَ الَّذِي بِكَلِمَتِكَ خَلَقْتَ جَمِيعَ
You are, Who created all Your creatures with Your word;

خَلْقِكَ فَكُلُّ مَشِيَّتِكَ أَتَتْكَ بِلَا لُغُوبٍ أَثْبَتَّ مَشِيَّتَكَ
thereupon Your will came without burdening ascertained Your will.

وَ لَمْ تَأَنَّ فِيهَا لِمَئُونَةٍ وَ لَمْ تَنْصِبْ فِيهَا لِمَشَقَّةٍ
And You did not consider careful on it for intent nor arrange over it for hardship!

وَ كَانَ عَرْشُكَ عَلَى الْمَاءِ وَ الظُّلْمَةُ فِي [عَلَى‏] الْهَوَاءِ وَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَحْمِلُونَ عَرْشَكَ
And Your throne was above the water; darkness in the air and the Angels will bear Your throne.

عَرْشَ النُّورِ وَ الْكَرَامَةِ وَ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِكَ
The throne of light and Glory, glorifying with Your praise,

وَ الْخَلْقُ مُطِيعٌ لَكَ خَاشِعٌ مِنْ خَوْفِكَ
and the creatures are obedient toward You; humble of You fear,

لَا يُرَى فِيهِ نُورٌ إِلَّا نُورُكَ
can't be seen in it a light other than Your light

وَ لَا يُسْمَعُ فِيهِ صَوْتٌ إِلَّا صَوْتُكَ
nor be heard a voice other than Your voice,

حَقِيقٌ بِمَا لَا يَحِقُّ إِلَّا لَكَ
entitled in what is not ascertain to other than You!

‏ خَالِقُ الْخَلْقِ وَ مُبْتَدِعُهُ تَوَحَّدْتَ بِأَمْرِكَ
The Creator of creatures and their originator, You are one and alone with Your decisions;

وَ تَفَرَّدْتَ بِمُلْكِكَ وَ تَعَظَّمْتَ بِكِبْرِيَائِكَ
you showed Your Uniqueness through Your kingdom. And verily; You showed Your Greatness through Your pride,

وَ تَعَزَّزْتَ بِجَبَرُوتِكَ وَ تَسَلَّطْتَ بِقُوَّتِكَ
You expressed Your Might through Your supremacy, You reigned through Your Power

وَ تَعَالَيْتَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
and exalted with Your ability.

فَأَنْتَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الْأَعْلَى فَوْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ الْعُلَى
Thereupon, You are in the highest viewpoint above the high heavens!

كَيْفَ لَا يَقْصُرُ دُونَكَ عِلْمُ الْعُلَمَاءِ
How could not the scholars' knowledge be incapable before You,

وَ لَكَ الْعِزَّةُ أَحْصَيْتَ خَلْقَكَ وَ مَقَادِيرَكَ
and Glory be to You; You counted Your creation and ordainments;

لِمَا جَلَّ مِنْ جَلَالِ مَا جَلَّ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ
for the sublime exalt of Your splendid mention

وَ لِمَا ارْتَفَعَ مِنْ رَفِيعِ مَا ارْتَفَعَ مِنْ كُرْسِيِّكَ
and for the highest pitch from what upraised of Your throne.

عَلَوْتَ عَلَى عُلُوِّ مَا اسْتَعْلَى مِنْ مَكَانِكَ
You advanced Your highness above the elevation of what overcome upon Your place!

كُنْتَ قَبْلَ جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ
You existed before Your all creation.

لَا يَقْدِرُ الْقَادِرُونَ قَدْرَكَ
No assessor can assess Your value,

وَ لَا يَصِفُ الْوَاصِفُونَ أَمْرَكَ
and the describers cannot describe Your being;

رَفِيعُ الْبُنْيَانِ مُضِيْ‏ءُ الْبُرْهَانِ عَظِيمُ الْجَلَالِ
glorious base, illuminated proof, great solemnity,

قَدِيمُ الْمَجْدِ مُحِيطُ الْعِلْمِ
eternal Glory, encompassing of knowledge,

لَطِيفُ الْخَبَرِ حَكِيمُ الْأَمْرِ
very pleasing tradition, and wise command!

أَحْكَمَ الْأَمْرَ صُنْعُكَ وَ قَهَرَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ سُلْطَانُكَ
Your making excelled the commands, and Your power conquered everything

وَ تَوَلَّيْتَ الْعَظَمَةَ بِعِزَّةِ مُلْكِكَ
and took over the mightiness with Your mighty authority

وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءَ بِعَظِيمِ جَلَالِكَ
and the sublimity of your great magnificence.

[ ثُمَّ دَبَّرْتَ الْأَشْيَاءَ كُلَّهَا بِحُكْمِكَ [بِحِكْمَتِكَ‏
Moreover, You arranged everything with Your wisdom

وَ أَحْصَيْتَ أَمْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ كُلَّهَا بِعِلْمِكَ
and Enumerated this world and the hereafter case with Your knowledge.

وَ كَانَ الْمَوْتُ وَ الْحَيَاةُ بِيَدِكَ
And the death and life are in Your hand,

وَ ضَرَعَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَيْكَ وَ ذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِمُلْكِكَ
and everything implored to You, and everything submitted to Your authority,

وَ انْقَادَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِطَاعَتِكَ
and everything yielded to Your obedience.

فَتَقَدَّسْتَ رَبَّنَا وَ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ
Therefore glorified be our Lord, and glorified is Your name;

وَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَ تَعَالَى ذِكْرُكَ
blessed is our Lord, high exalted is Your mention

وَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ وَ لُطْفِكَ فِي أَمْرِكَ
and by Your omnipotence upon Your creation and Your gentleness with Your command.

لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْكَ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَا وَاتِ وَ الْأَرْض
The weight of a dust mote; doesn't escape from you in heavens and earth,

‏ وَ لا أَصْغَرُ مِنْ ذلِكَ وَ لا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتابٍ مُبِينٍ
not even less than that nor more but (it is noted) in a clear record!

‏ فَسُبْحَانَكَ وَ بِحَمْدِكَ
So, Glory and praise be to You;

تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
blessed is our Lord, and splendid be the praising of You!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad, Your servant, Messenger, and Prophet,

أَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ بُيُوتَاتِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
with the most excellent blessings you have ever sent upon any Muslim houses.

صَلَاةً تُبَيِّضُ بِهَا وَجْهَهُ وَ تُقِرُّ بِهَا عَيْنَهُ
The blessing in that which You illuminate with his face makes him delighted,

وَ تُزَ يِّنُ بِهَا مَقَامَهُ
adorning with it his position.

وَ تَجْعَلُهُ خَطِيباً لِمَحَامِدِكَ
And make him an orator to Your laudations,

مَا قَالَ صَدَّقْتَهُ وَ مَا سَأَلَ أَعْطَيْتَهُ
what he says; You believed, what he asks for, You grant

وَ لِمَنْ شَفَعَ شَفَّعْتَهُ
and to who he mediates for; You mediated.

وَ اجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ عَطَاءً تَامّاً وَ قَسَماً
And assign to him of Your bestowal; full bestowal completed portion,

وَافِياً وَ نَصِيباً جَزِيلًا وَ اسْماً عَالِياً عَلَى‏ النَّبِيِّينَ
large share and, a high name upon the prophets,

وَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ وَ الشُّهَداءِ
righteous', martyrs,

وَ الصَّالِحِينَ وَ حَسُنَ أُولئِكَ رَفِيقاً
the most elevated rank ones and, a goodly company are they!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي
O Allah, I beseech You by Your Name;

إِذَا ذُكِرَ اهْتَزَّ لَهُ عَرْشُكَ وَ تَهَلَّلَ لَهُ نُورُكَ
if it is mentioned, Your throne shook, Your light gleamed,

وَ اسْتَبْشَرَتْ لَهُ مَلَائِكَتُكَ
and Your Angels rejoiced to it!

‏ وَ الَّذِي إِذَا ذُكِرَ تَزَعْزَعَتْ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ وَ الْجِبَالُ وَ الشَّجَرُ وَ الدَّوَابُّ
And in which if it is mentioned the; heavens, earth, mountains, trees, animals will be shaken for Him!

وَ الَّذِي إِذَا ذُكِرَ تَفَتَّحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ
And in which if it is mentioned; the gates of heavens will be unfolded to Him,

وَ أَشْرَقَتْ لَهُ الْأَرْضُ
the earth shone for Him

وَ سَبَّحَتْ [ستحت‏] لَهُ الْجِبَالُ
and the mountains glorified Him!

وَ الَّذِي إِذَا ذُكِرَ تَصَدَّعَتْ لَهُ الْأَرْضُ
And in which if it is mentioned; the earth be cracked for Him,

وَ قَدَّسَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَ الْإِنْسُ
hallowed Him the Angels and humankind,

وَ تَفَجَّرَتْ لَهُ الْأَنْهَارُ
the rivers for Him burst out!

وَ الَّذِي إِذَا ذُكِرَ ارْتَعَدَتْ مِنْهُ النُّفُوسُ وَ وَجِلَتْ مِنْهُ الْقُلُوبُ وَ خَشَعَتْ لَهُ الْأَصْوَاتُ
And in which if it is mentioned; the souls are violent fear seized of Him and sounds are submitted of Him.

أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي وَ لِوَالِدَيَّ وَ ارْحَمْهُما كَما رَبَّيانِي صَغِيراً
Therefore, forgive my parents and me, bestow Your grace upon them as they cherished and reared me when I was a child,

وَ ارْزُقْنِي ثَوَابَ طَاعَتِهِمَا وَ مَرْضَاتِهِمَا
grant me their fidelity reward and satisfaction,

وَ عَرِّفْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُمَا فِي جَنَّتِكَ
and make awareness between them in Your heaven and me!

أَسْأَلُكَ لِي وَ لَهُمَا الْأَجْرَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
For them and me, I beseech You for the reward in the hereafter; the Day of Resurrection.

وَ الْعَفْوَ يَوْمَ الْقَضَاءِ وَ بَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ
And the pardoning on the Doomsday, decree for ease after death,

وَ قُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ لَا تَنْقَطِعُ
the light of eyes that do not cease,

وَ لَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ وَ شَوْقاً إِلَى لِقَائِكَ
and the delight of witnessing Your presence and longing for Your meeting!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ فَقَوِّ فِي رِضَاكَ ضَعْفِي
O, Allah, I am weak; so strengthen my weakness in the course of Your pleasure,

وَ خُذْ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ بِنَاصِيَتِي
and lead my forelock to goodness,

وَ اجْعَلِ الْإِسْلَامَ مُنْتَهَى رِضَايَ
and cause Islam to be the utmost of my pleasure.

وَ اجْعَلِ الْبِرَّ أَكْبَرَ أَخْلَاقِي وَ التَّقْوَى زَادِي
And appoint faithfulness as my most significant moral and Your reverential fear as my provision.

وَ ارْزُقْنِي الظَّفَرَ بِالْخَيْرِ لِنَفْسِي
Grant me to achieve goodness for myself

وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِيَ الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي
and set right my religion that is the preserving tie of my affair.

وَ بَارِكْ فِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا بَلَاغِي
And bless me in this world that has my reach

وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِيَ الَّتِي إِلَيْهَا مُنْقَلَبِي وَ مَعَادِي
and reforms my hereafter, where my recourses head for and my return;

وَ اجْعَلْ دُنْيَايَ زِيَادَةً فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ
make my life (in this world) more in every good

وَ اجْعَلْ آخِرَ تِي عَافِيَةً مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ
and my hereafter a relief of every evil!

وَ هَيِّئْ لِيَ الْإِنَابَةَ إِلَى دَارِ الْخُلُودِ
And, prepare me for having love in the world Hereafter,

وَ التَّجَافِيَ عَنْ دَارِ الْغُرُورِ وَ الِاسْتِعْدَادَ لِلْمَوْتِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ بِي
not being proud and the preparedness to death before it lays down on me!

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَأْخُذْنِي بَغْتَةً وَ لَا تَقْتُلْنِي فَجْأَةً
O, Allah, do not overtake me all of a sudden and do not kill me, surprisingly,

وَ لَا تُعَجِّلْنِي عَنْ حَقٍّ وَ لَا تَسْلُبْنِيهِ
and do not make me give up on the right or deprive me of it!

وَ عَافِنِي مِنْ مُمَارَسَةِ الذُّنُوبِ بِتَوْبَةٍ نَصُوحٍ
And recover me from; performing the sins' act with sincere repentance,

وَ مِنَ الْأَسْقَامِ الدَّوِيَّةِ بِالْعَفْوِ وَ الْعَافِيَةِ
chronic illnesses with pardon and well-being

وَ تَوَفَّ نَفْسِي آمِنَةً مُطْمَئِنَّةً
and make myself die reassured safely.

رَاضِيَةً بِمَا لَهَا مَرْضِيَّةً لَيْسَ عَلَيْهَا خَوْفٌ
Satisfied with what it had pleasingly, neither have fear nor;

وَ لَا حَزَنٌ وَ لَا جَزَعٌ وَ لَا فَزَعٌ وَ لَا وَجَلٌ
sadness, fright, anxiety, worry,

وَ لَا مَقْتٌ مِنْكَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
and hatred from You upon the believers

الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنْكَ الْحُسْنَى
who have got precedence from You in Your rewards;

وَ هُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ مُبْعَدُونَ
they shall be kept far from hell.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and His Household;

وَ مَنْ أَرَادَنِي بِحُسْنٍ فَأَعِنْهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ يَسِّرْهُ لِي
And as for anyone who intends good to me, assist them with and pave it for me;

فَ إِنِّي لِما أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
because surely I require whatever good You may send down to me.

وَ مَنْ أَرَادَنِي بِسُوءٍ
And whoever desires for me;

أَوْ حَسَدٍ أَوْ بَغْيٍ أَوْ عَدَاوَةٍ أَوْ ظُلْمٍ
evil, envy, offense, enmity or tyranny;

فَإِنِّي أَدْرَأُ بِكَ فِي نَحْرِهِ وَ أَسْتَعِينُ بِكَ عَلَيْهِ
indeed, then take me out from his machinations, and I seek Your help regarding him.

فَاكْفِنِيهِ بِمَ شِئْتَ وَ اشْغَلْهُ عَنِّي بِمَ شِئْتَ فَإِنَّهُ
So suffice me with what You will and preoccupy him against me with what You will;

لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِكَ
because there is no change nor any strength except by You!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
O, Allah, I seek refuge with You from the accursed shaytan,

وَ مِنْ مَغَاوِيهِ وَ اعْتِرَاضِهِ وَ فَزَعِهِ وَ وَسْوَسَتِهِ
from his; temptations, disagreements, fear, and whispers.

اللَّهُمَّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْ لَهُ عَلَيَّ سُلْطَاناً
O, Allah, do not make for him authority upon me,

وَ لَا تَجْعَلْ لَهُ عَلَيَّ سَبِيلًا
and do not let him find a way to me

وَ لَا تَجْعَلْ لَهُ فِي مَالِي وَ وُلْدِي شِرْكاً
and make for him neither a share nor portion in my properties and sons.

وَ لَا نَصِيباً وَ بَاعِدْ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَهُ
And Keep us far away from him

كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَ الْمَغْرِبِ
as You have kept the East far away from the West

حَتَّى لَا يُفْسِدَ شَيْئاً مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ عَلَيْنَا
so that he does not ruin any of our obeying to You,

وَ أَتْمِمْ نِعْمَتَكَ عِنْدَنَا بِمَرْضَاتِكَ
and complete Your grace, to us with Your pleasure upon us;

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O, Most Merciful of the merciful!

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا رَسُولِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ
And blessings of Allah be upon our Master, His Messenger; the Prophet Muhammed

وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً
and his pure Household; and exalt you thoroughly.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الرِّضَا الْمُرْتَضٰى سَـمِيِّ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ
As-salāmu ʿalā ar-Riḍā al-Murtaḍā samiyyi sayyidi al-waṣiyyīn
Peace be upon al-Riḍā, the chosen, namesake of the master of successors

وَ اِمَامِ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ خَلِيْفَةِ الرَّحْمٰنِ وَ اِمَامِ اَهْلِ الْقُرْآنِ
Wa imāmi al-muttaqīn khalīfati ar-Raḥmān wa imāmi ahl al-Qurʾān
And the leader of the God-conscious, the vicegerent of the Most Merciful, and the Imam of the people of the Qur’an

وَ صَاحِبِ التَّاْوِيْلِ وَ مَعْدِنِ الْفُرْقَانِ
Wa ṣāḥibi at-taʾwīl wa maʿdini al-furqān
And the possessor of interpretation and the معدن of discernment

وَ حَامِلِ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْاِنْـجِيْلِ وَ اِفْنَاءِ الْـخَبِيْثَاتِ وَ الْاَبَاطِيْلِ
Wa ḥāmili at-Tawrāt wa al-Injīl wa ifnāʾi al-khabīthāt wa al-abāṭīl
And the bearer of the Torah and the Gospel, and the destroyer of impurities and falsehoods

وَ الْقَائِلِ الْفَاعِلِ وَ الْـحَاكِمِ الْعَادِلِ وَ الصَّادِقِ الْبَرِّ
Wa al-qāʾili al-fāʿil wa al-ḥākimi al-ʿādil wa aṣ-ṣādiqi al-barr
And the one who speaks and acts, the just ruler, the truthful and righteous

وَ الْـحَائِزِ الْفَخْرِ جَدُّهٗ سَيِّدُ النَّبِيِّيْنَ
Wa al-ḥāʾizi al-fakhr jaddahu sayyidu an-nabiyyīn
And the possessor of honor, whose grandfather is the master of the prophets

وَ اَبُوْهُ سَيِّدُ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ وَ اِلَيْهِ مَآبُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَ الْآخِرِيْنَ
Wa abūhu sayyidu al-waṣiyyīn wa ilayhi maʾābu al-awwalīn wa al-ākhirīn
And whose father is the master of the successors, and to him is the return of the first and the last

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا الْـحَسَنِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوسَى الرِّضَا
As-salāmu ʿalayka yā Abā al-Ḥasan ʿAlīyya ibn Mūsā ar-Riḍā
Peace be upon you, O Abā al-Ḥasan, ʿAlī son of Mūsā al-Riḍā

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهٗ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ
Wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad
And the mercy of Allah and His blessings. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad

وَ عَلٰى اٰلِ مُـحَمَّدٍ وَ كَمَا اَكْرَمْتَهٗ بِـمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلِكَ
Wa ʿalā āli Muḥammad wa kamā akramtahu bi-Muḥammad rasūlik
And upon the family of Muhammad, as You honored him through Muhammad Your Messenger

وَ جَعَلْتَهٗ فِيْ الْـحَقِّ دَلِيْلَكَ فَدَعَا اِلٰى سَبِيْلِكَ
Wa jaʿaltahu fī al-ḥaqq dalīlak fadaʿā ilā sabīlik
And You made him, in truth, Your guide, so he called to Your path

بِالْـحِكْمَةِ وَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ الْـحَسَنَةِ
Bil-ḥikmati wa al-mawʿiẓati al-ḥasanah
With wisdom and good exhortation

فَاَكْمِلْ لَهُ الْعَهْدَ وَ تَـمِّمْ لَهُ الْوَعْدَ
Fa akmil lahu al-ʿahd wa tammim lahu al-waʿd
So complete for him the covenant and fulfill for him the promise

وَ اَيِّدْهُ وَ ذُرِّيَّتَهٗ وَ اَوْلِيَآئَهٗ بِالنَّصْرِ وَ الْـجُنْدِ
Wa ayyidhu wa dhurriyyatahu wa awliyāʾahu bin-naṣr wa al-jund
And support him, his progeny, and his allies with help and armies

لِيُخَلِّصَ الدِّيْنَ بِالْـجِدِّ فَيَعْمَلَ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ بِالْـجَهْدِ
Li-yukhalliṣa ad-dīn bil-jidd fayaʿmala fī dhālika bil-jahd
So that he may purify the religion with seriousness and strive therein with effort

وَ يُصَيِّرَ لَكَ الدِّيْنَ خَالِصًا وَ الْـحَمْدَ تَامًّا
Wa yuṣayyira laka ad-dīn khāliṣan wa al-ḥamd tāmmā
And make the religion purely for You and the praise complete

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ حَيًّا وَ مَيِّتًا
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalayhi ḥayyan wa mayyitā
O Allah, send blessings upon him, living and deceased

وَ عَـجِّلْ فَرَجَنَا بِهٖ وَ بِالْوَصِيِّ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖ
Wa ʿajjil farajanā bihī wa bil-waṣiyy min baʿdih
And hasten our relief through him and through the successor after him

وَ انْصُرْهُ عَلٰى اَهْلِ طَاعَةِ الشَّيْطَانِ
Wa anṣurhu ʿalā ahl ṭāʿati ash-shayṭān
And grant him victory over the people who obey Satan

وَ اَعْزِزْ بِهِ الْاِيْـمَانَ وَ اَذْلِلْ بِهِ الشَّيْطَانَ
Wa aʿziz bihi al-īmān wa adh-lil bihi ash-shayṭān
And strengthen the faith through him and humiliate Satan
