Tuesday Dua of Imam Zainul Abideen (peace be upon him)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
alhamdu lillahi
All praise be to Allah;

وَٱلْحَمْدُ حَقُّهُ كَمَا يَسْتَحِقُّهُ
walhamdu haqquhu kama yastahiqquhu
and praise is His right, since He deserves it,

حَمْداً كَثيراً
hamdan kathiran
abundant praise!

وَ أَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي:
wa a`udhu bihi min sharri nafsi
I seek refuge in Him from the evil of my soul,

﴿إِنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌ بِٱلسُّوءِ
inna annafsa la-ammaratun bissu'i
“For surely, the soul commands to evil

إِلاَّ مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّي﴾
illa ma rahima rabbi
except as my Lord has mercy.”

وَ أَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ
wa a`udhu bihi min sharri ashshaytani
I seek refuge in Him from the evil of Satan

ٱلَّذِي يَزِيدُنِي ذَنْباً إِلَىٰ ذَنْبِي
alladhi yaziduni dhanban ila dhanbi
who adds sins to my sin.

وَ أَحْتَرِزُ بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ فَاجِرٍ
wa ahtarizu bihi min kulli jabbarin fajirin
I seek protection with Him from every wicked tyrant,

وَسُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ
wa sultanin ja'irin
unjust sovereign,

وَعَدُوٍّ قَاهِرٍ
wa `aduwwin qahirin
and conquering enemy.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ جُنْدِكَ
allahumma ij`alni min jundika
O Allah, place me among Your troops,

فَإِنَّ جُنْدَكَ هُمُ ٱلْغَالِبُونَ
fa-inna jundaka hum(u) alghalibuna
for Your troops—they are the victors,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ حِزْبِكَ
waj`alni min hizbika
and place me in Your party,

فَإِنَّ حِزْبَكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحونَ
fa-inna hizbaka hum(u) almuflihuna
for Your party—they are the ones who prosper,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ
waj`alni min awliya'ika
and place me among Your friends,

فَإِنَّ أَوْلِيَائَكَ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
fa-inna awliya'aka la khawfun `alayhim wala hum yahzanuna
for Your friends—no fear shall be upon them, nor shall they experience sorrow.

اَللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي
allahumma aslih li dini
O Allah, set right for me my religion,

فَإِنَّهُ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي
fa-innahu `ismatu amri
for it is the preserving tie of my affair;

وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي
wa aslih li akhirati
set right for me my hereafter,

فَإِنَّهَا دَارُ مَقَرِّي
fa-innaha daru maqarri
for it is the abode of my permanent lodging

وَإِلَيْهَا مِنْ مُجاوَرَةِ ٱللِّئَامِ مَفَرِّي
wa ilayha min mujawarati alli'ami mafarri
and to it I flee from the neighborhood of the vile!

وَٱجْعَلِ ٱلْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ
waj`al alhayata ziyadatan li fi kulli khayrin
Make life an increase for me in every good

وَٱلْوَفَاةَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ
walwafata rahatan li min kulli sharrin
and death an ease for me from every evil!

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin
O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad,

خَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ
khatami alnnabiyyina
the Seal of the Prophets

وَتَمَامِ عِدَّةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
wa tamami `iddati almursalina
and the completion of the number of the envoys,

وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
wa `ala alihi alttayyibina alttahirina
and upon his Household, the good, the pure,

وَ أَصْحَابِهِ ٱلْمُنْتَجَبِينَ
wa ashabihi almuntajabina
and upon his Companions, the distinguished,

وَهَبْ لِي فِي ٱلثُّلاثَاءِ ثَلاثاً
wa hab li fi alththulatha'i thalathan
and give me on Tuesday three things:

لاَ تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْباً إِلاَّ غَفَرْتَهُ
la tada` li dhanban illa ghafartahu
Leave no sin for me unless You forgive it,

وَلاَ غَمّاً إِلاَّ أَذْهَبْتَهُ
wa la ghamman illa adh-habtahu
no grief unless You take it away,

وَلاَ عَدُوّاً إِلاَّ دَفَعْتَهُ
wa la `aduwwan illa dafa`tahu
and no enemy unless You repel him!

بِبِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرِ ٱلأَسْمَاءِ
bibismillahi khayri al-asma'i
In the name of “In the name of Allah,” the best of the Names,

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلأَرْضِ وَٱلسَّمَاءِ
bismillahi rabbi al-ardi wal-ssama'i
In the name of Allah, the Lord of the earth and the heaven,

أَسْتَدْفِعُ كُلَّ مَكْرُوهٍ أَوَّلُهُ سَخَطُهُ
astadfi`u kulla makruhin awwaluhu sakhatuhu
I seek to repulse every hateful thing, the first of which is His anger,

وَ أَسْتَجْلِبُ كُلَّ مَحْبُوبٍ أَوَّلُهُ رِضَاهُ
wa astajlibu kulla mahbubin awwaluhu ridahu
and I seek to attract every lovable thing, the first of which is His good pleasure!

فَٱخْتِمْ لِي مِنْكَ بِٱلْغُفْرَانِ
fakhtim li minka bilghufrani
So, seal me with forgiveness from You,

يَا وَلِيَّ ٱلْإِحْسَانِ
ya waliyya al-ihsani
O Patron of beneficence!





Dua of Sayyeda Fatima (peace be upon her) for Tuesday


اَلّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ غَفْلَةَ النَّاسِ لَنَا ذِكْرً
allaahummaj a’l ghaflatan naase lanaa zikran
O God, make the negligence of people as means of remembrance for us

وَ اجْعَلْ ذِكْرَهُمْ لَنَا شُكْرًا،
waj a’l zikrahum lanaa shukran
and make their remembrance the rank of thankfulness for us.

وَ اجْعَلْ صَالِحَ مَا نَقُوْلُ بِاَلْسِنَتِنَا نِيَّةً فِيْ قُلُوْبِنَا،
waj a’l saaleha maa naqoolo be-alsenatenaa niyyatan fee qoloobenaa,
Whatever good things we utter, make them rooted in the heart

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ اَوْسَعُ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِنَا،
allaahumma inna maghferataka awsa-o’ min zonoobenaa
O God, your forgiveness is wider than our sins

وَ رَحْمَتَكَ اَرْجٰى عِنْدَنَا مِنْ اَعْمَالِنَا،
wa rahmataka arjaa i’ndanaa min a-a’maalenaa,
and your mercy is more reliable than our deeds.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad

وَ وَفِّقْنَا لِصَالِحِ الْاَعْمَالِ وَ الصَّوَابِ مِنَ الْفِعَالِ.
wa waffiqnaa le-saalehil a-a’maale was sawaabe menal fe-a’ale.
and grant us the good sense of righteous deeds and correct acts.

Ai translated
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي مَنَّ عَلَيَّ بِاسْتِحْكَامِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī manna ‘alayya bistihkāmi al-ma‘rifah
All praise is for Allah who bestowed upon me firm knowledge,

وَالْإِخْلَاصِ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ لَهُ
Wal-ikhlāṣi bit-tawḥīdi lah
And sincerity in affirming His Oneness.

وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ الْغَوَايَةِ وَالْغَبَاوَةِ
Wa lam yaj‘alnī min ahli al-ghawāyah wal-ghabāwah
And He did not make me among those of misguidance and ignorance,

وَالشِّرْكِ وَلَا مَنِ اسْتَحْوَذَ الشَّيْطَانُ عَلَيْهِ
Wash-shirki wa lā man istaḥwadha ash-shayṭānu ‘alayh
Nor among those overtaken by Satan,

فَأَغْوَاهُ فَأَضَلَّهُ وَاتَّخَذَ إِلٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ
Fa-aghwāhu fa-aḍallahū wat-takhadha ilāhahu hawāh
So he misled him and led him astray, making his desire his god.

وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ وَيَكْشِفُ الضُّرَّ
Wa subḥāna llāhi alladhī yujību al-muḍṭarra wa yakshifu aḍ-ḍurr
Glory be to Allah who answers the distressed and removes harm,

وَيَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَيَمْلِكُ الْخَيْرَ وَالشَّرَّ
Wa ya‘lamu as-sirra wa yamliku al-khayra wash-sharr
And knows the secret and controls الخير and الشر,

وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
Wa lā ilāha illā llāh
And there is no god except Allah.

الَّذِي يَحْلُمُ عَنْ عَبْدِهِ إِذَا عَصَاهُ
Alladhī yaḥlumu ‘an ‘abdihi idhā ‘aṣāh
He who is forbearing toward His servant when he disobeys,

وَيَتَلَقَّاهُ بِالْإِسْعَافِ وَالتَّلْبِيَةِ إِذَا دَعَاهُ
Wa yatalaqqāhu bil-is‘āfi wat-talbiyah idhā da‘āh
And receives him with help and response when he calls Him,

وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الْبَسِيطُ مُلْكُهُ الْمَعْدُومُ شِرْكُهُ
Wa llāhu akbar al-basīṭ mulkahu al-ma‘dūm shirkahu
And Allah is the Greatest; vast is His dominion, none shares it,

الْمَجِيدُ عَرْشُهُ الشَّدِيدُ بَطْشُهُ
Al-majīd ‘arshuhu ash-shadīd baṭshuh
Glorious is His Throne and severe is His might.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ
Allāhumma innī as’aluka su’āla man lam yajid
O Allah, I ask You as one who finds none,

لِسُؤَالِهِ مَسْؤُولًا سِوَاكَ
Li-su’ālihi mas’ūlan siwāk
To answer his request except You,

وَأَعْتَمِدُ عَلَيْكَ اعْتِمَادَ مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ
Wa a‘tamidu ‘alayka i‘timāda man lā yajid
And I rely upon You as one who finds none,

لِاعْتِمَادِهِ مُعْتَمَدًا غَيْرَكَ
Li-i‘timādihi mu‘tamadan ghayrak
To rely upon other than You.

لِأَنَّكَ الْأَوَّلُ الَّذِي ابْتَدَأْتَ الْإِبْتِدَاءَ
Li-annaka al-awwalu alladhī ibtada’ta al-ibtidā’
For You are the First who originated the beginning,

فَكَوَّنْتَهُ بِأَيْدِي تَلَطُّفِكَ
Fa-kawwantahu bi-aydi talaṭṭufik
And brought it into being with the hands of Your لطف,

فَاسْتَكَانَ عَلَىٰ مَشِيَّتِكَ مُنْشَأً كَمَا أَرَدْتَ
Fa-stakāna ‘alā mashī’atika munsha’an kamā aradta
So it submitted to Your will, created as You intended,

بِإِحْكَامِ التَّقْدِيرِ
Bi-iḥkāmi at-taqdīr
With precise determination.

وَأَنْتَ أَعَزُّ وَأَجَلُّ أَنْ تُحِيطَ الْعُقُولُ
Wa anta a‘azzu wa ajallu an tuḥīṭa al-‘uqūl
And You are too mighty and exalted for minds to encompass,

بِمَبْلَغِ وَصْفِكَ
Bi-mablaghi waṣfik
The extent of Your description.

أَنْتَ الْعَالِمُ الَّذِي لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْكَ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ
Anta al-‘ālimu alladhī lā ya‘zubu ‘anka mithqālu dharrah
You are the Knower from whom not even an atom escapes,

فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاءِ
Fī al-arḍi was-samā’
In the earth or the heavens,

وَالْجَوَادُ الَّذِي لَا يُبْخِلُكَ إِلْحَاحُ الْمُلِحِّينَ
Wal-jawādu alladhī lā yubkhiluka ilḥāḥu al-muliḥḥīn
And the Generous whom persistent asking does not make miserly.

فَإِنَّمَا أَمْرُكَ لِلشَّيْءِ إِذَا أَرَدْتَهُ
Fa-innamā amruka li-sh-shay’i idhā aradtah
For Your command, when You will a thing,

أَنْ تَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
An taqūla lahu kun fayakūn
Is only to say “Be,” and it is.

اَمْرُكَ مَاضٍ وَوَعْدُكَ حَتْمٌ وَحُكْمُكَ عَدْلٌ
Amruka māḍin wa wa‘duka ḥatm wa ḥukmuka ‘adl
Your command is executed, Your promise is certain, Your judgment is just,

لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْكَ شَيْءٌ وَإِلَيْكَ مَرَدُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
Lā ya‘zubu ‘anka shay’ wa ilayka maraddu kulli shay’
Nothing escapes You, and to You is the return of all things.

اِحْتَجَبْتَ بِآلَائِكَ فَلَا تُرَى
Iḥtajabta bi-ālā’ika fa-lā turā
You are veiled by Your blessings and are not seen,

وَشَهِدْتَ كُلَّ نَجْوَىٰ
Wa shahidta kulla najwā
Yet You witness every secret conversation,

وَتَعَالَيْتَ عَلَى الْعُلَىٰ
Wa ta‘ālayta ‘alā al-‘ulā
And You are exalted above all heights,

وَتَفَرَّدْتَ بِالْكِبْرِيَاءِ
Wa tafarradta bil-kibriyā’
And are alone in majesty,

وَتَعَزَّزْتَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ وَالْبَقَاءِ
Wa ta‘azzazta bil-qudrah wal-baqā’
And are mighty in power and everlastingness.

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَىٰ
Fa-laka al-ḥamdu fī al-ākhirati wal-ūlā
So for You is praise in the Hereafter and the first life,

وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ فِي الْبَدْءِ وَالْعُقْبَىٰ
Wa laka ash-shukru fī al-bad’i wal-‘uqbā
And for You is thanks in the beginning and the end.

أَنْتَ إِلٰهِي حَلِيمٌ قَادِرٌ رَءُوفٌ غَافِرٌ
Anta ilāhī ḥalīm qādir ra’ūf ghāfir
You are my God—Forbearing, Powerful, Kind, Forgiving,

وَمَلِكٌ قَاهِرٌ وَرَازِقٌ بَدِيعٌ
Wa malik qāhir wa rāziq badī‘
Sovereign, Subduer, Provider, Originator,

مُجِيبٌ سَمِيعٌ
Mujīb samī‘
Responder, All-Hearing.

بِيَدِكَ نَوَاصِي الْعِبَادِ وَقَوَاصِي الْبِلَادِ
Bi-yadika nawāṣī al-‘ibād wa qawāṣī al-bilād
In Your hand are the forelocks of servants and the far reaches of lands.

حَيٌّ قَيُّومٌ جَوَادٌ مَاجِدٌ كَرِيمٌ رَحِيمٌ
Ḥayy qayyūm jawād mājid karīm raḥīm
Ever-Living, Self-Subsisting, Generous, Glorious, Noble, Merciful,

أَنْتَ إِلٰهِي الْمَالِكُ الَّذِي مَلَكْتَ الْمُلُوكَ
Anta ilāhī al-māliku alladhī malakta al-mulūk
You are my God, the King who owns all kings,

فَتَوَاضَعَ لِهَيْبَتِكَ الْأَعِزَّاءُ
Fa-tawāḍa‘a li-haybatika al-a‘izzā’
So the mighty humble themselves before Your awe,

وَدَانَ لَكَ بِالطَّاعَةِ الْأَوْلِيَاءُ
Wa dāna laka biṭ-ṭā‘ah al-awliyā’
And the friends submit to You in obedience.

فَاحْتَوَيْتَ بِإِلٰهِيَّتِكَ عَلَى الْمَجْدِ وَالثَّنَاءِ
Fa-iḥtawayta bi-ilāhiyyatika ‘alā al-majd wath-thanā’
Thus, by Your divinity You encompass all glory and praise.

وَلَا يَؤُودُكَ حِفْظُ خَلْقِكَ
Wa lā ya’ūduka ḥifẓu khalqik
Guarding Your creation does not burden You,

وَلَا تُهْلِكُ عَطَايَاكَ
Wa lā tuhliku ‘aṭāyāk
Nor do Your gifts diminish,

بِمَنْ مَنَحْتَهُ سَعَةَ رِزْقِكَ
Bi-man manaḥtahu sa‘ata rizqik
By granting abundance of provision.

وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ
Wa anta ‘allāmu al-ghuyūb
And You are the Knower of the unseen,

سَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ عُيُوبِي وَأَحْصَيْتَ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوبِي
Satarta ‘alayya ‘uyūbī wa aḥṣayta ‘alayya dhunūbī
You concealed my faults and counted my sins,

وَأَكْرَمْتَنِي بِمَعْرِفَةِ دِينِكَ
Wa akramtanī bi-ma‘rifati dīnik
And honored me with knowledge of Your religion.

وَلَمْ تَهْتِكْ عَنِّي سِتْرَكَ يَا حَنَّانُ
Wa lam tahtik ‘annī sitrak yā ḥannān
And You did not tear away Your covering from me, O Most Kind,

وَلَمْ تَفْضَحْنِي يَا مَنَّانُ
Wa lam tafḍaḥnī yā mannān
And You did not disgrace me, O Bestower.

اَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
As’aluka an tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تُوَسِّعَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ
Wa an tuwassi‘a ‘alayya min faḍlika al-wāsi‘
And to expand for me from Your vast bounty,

رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا
Rizqan wāsi‘an ḥalālan ṭayyiban
A wide, lawful, and pure provision,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبًا حَالَتْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ
Wa an taghfira dhunūban ḥālat baynī wa baynak
And forgive sins that stand between me and You,

بِاقْتِرَافِي لَهَا
Bi-iqtirāfī lahā
Through my committing them.

فَأَنْتَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَجُودَ عَلَيَّ بِسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
Fa-anta ahlun an tajūda ‘alayya bi-sa‘ati raḥmatik
For You are worthy to bestow upon me Your vast mercy,

وَتُنْقِذَنِي مِنْ أَلِيمِ عُقُوبَتِكَ
Wa tunqidhani min alīmi ‘uqūbatik
And save me from painful punishment,

وَتُدْرِجَنِي دَرَجَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ
Wa tudrijanī daraja al-mukramīn
And raise me to the ranks of the honored.

وَتُلْحِقْنِي مَوْلَايَ بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Wa tulḥiqnī mawlāya biṣ-ṣāliḥīn
And join me, my Master, with the righteous,

الَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ
Alladhīna tatawaffāhumu al-malā’ikatu ṭayyibīn
Those whom the angels take in a pure state,

يَقُولُونَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ
Yaqūlūna salāmun ‘alaykum
Saying: Peace be upon you,

ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Udkhulū al-jannata bimā kuntum ta‘malūn
Enter Paradise for what you used to do.

بِصَفْحِكَ وَتَغَمُّدِكَ
Bi-ṣafḥika wa taghammudik
Through Your pardon and covering,

يَا رَءُوفُ يَا رَحِيمُ
Yā ra’ūf yā raḥīm
O Kind, O Merciful.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Wa as’aluka aṣ-ṣalāta ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad
And I ask You for blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَحْتَمِلَ عَنِّي وَاجِبَ الْآبَاءِ وَالْأُمَّهَاتِ
Wa an taḥtamila ‘annī wājiba al-ābā’i wal-ummahāt
And to bear on my behalf the rights of my parents,

وَأَدِّ حُقُوقَهُمْ عَنِّي
Wa addi ḥuqūqahum ‘annī
And fulfill their dues for me,

وَأَلْحِقْنِي مَعَهُمْ بِالْأَبْرَارِ
Wa alḥiqnī ma‘ahum bil-abrār
And join me with them among the righteous,

وَالْإِخْوَانِ وَالْأَخَوَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
Wal-ikhwān wal-akhawāt wal-mu’minīn wal-mu’mināt
And the brothers and sisters, the believing men and women,

وَاغْفِرْ لِي وَلَهُمْ جَمِيعًا
Waghfir lī wa lahum jamī‘ā
And forgive me and all of them.

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Innaka ḥamīd majīd
Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَآلِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Wa ṣallā llāhu ‘alā Muḥammadin an-nabiyy wa ālihi ajma‘īn
And may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad the Prophet and all his family.

The phrase "یَحْلُمُ عَنْ عَبْدِہٖ" (He is forbearing toward His servant). The root ح-ل-م (H-L-M) refers to "forbearance" or "clemency"—the quality of not being in a hurry to punish someone even when they deserve it. It is a very comforting attribute to keep in mind.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا خُزَّانَ عِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alaykum ya khuzzana `ilmi allahi
Peace be on you, O depositories of Allah’s knowledge!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا تَرَاجِمَةَ وَحْيِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alaykum ya tarajimata wahyi allahi
Peace be on you, O interpreters of Allah’s Revelation!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ
alssalamu `alaykum ya a'immata alhuda
Peace be on you, O leaders to true guidance!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَعْلاَمَ ٱلتُّقَىٰ
alssalamu `alaykum ya a`lama alttuqa
Peace be on you, O signs of piety!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَوْلاَدَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alaykum ya awlada rasuli allahi
Peace be on you, O descendants of Allah’s Messenger!

أَنَا عَارِفٌ بِحَقِّكُمْ
ana `arifun bihaqqikum
I recognize your rights,

مُسْتَبْصِرٌ بِشَاْنِكُمْ
mustabsirun bisha'nikum
I discernibly acknowledge your true standing,

مُعَادٍ لِأَعْدَائِكُمْ
mu`adin li-a`da'ikum
I incur the hostility of your enemies,

مُوَالٍ لِأَوْلِيَائِكُمْ
muwalin li-awliya'ikum
and I show loyalty to your loyalists.

بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَأُمِّي
bi-aby antum wa ummi
May Allah accept me, my father, and mother as ransoms for you!

صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
salawatu allahi `alaykum
Blessings of Allah be upon you.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتَوَالَىٰ آخِرَهُمْ كَمَا تَوَالَيْتُ أَوَّلَهُمْ
allahumma inni atawala akhirahum kama tawalaytu awwalahum
O Allah, I am willingly showing loyalty to the last of them just as I have shown loyalty to the first of them,

وَأَبْرَأُ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيجَةٍ دُونَهُمْ
wa abra'u min kulli walijatin dunahum
I release myself from any confidant other than them,

وَأَكْفُرُ بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّاغُوتِ وَٱللاَّتِ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ
wa akfuru biljibti walttaghuti wallati wal`uzza
and I reject all idols, false deities, al-Lat, and al-`Uzza.

صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَوَالِيَّ
salawatu allahi `alaykum ya mawaliyya
Blessings of Allah be upon you, O my Masters!

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Mercy of Allah and His benedictions be upon you, too.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ ٱلْعَابِدِينَ وَسُلاَلَةَ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya sayyida al`abidina wa sulalata alwasiyyina
Peace be upon you, O master of the worshippers and descendant of the Prophets’ successors.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَاقِرَ عِلْمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ
alssalamu `alayka ya baqira `ilmi alnnabiyyina
Peace be upon you, O he who split open the knowledge of the Prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَادِقاً مُصَدِّقاً فِي ٱلْقَوْلِ وَٱلْفِعْلِ
alssalamu `alayka ya sadiqan musaddaqan fi alqawli walfi`li
Peace be upon you, O veracious and honest in all [your] words and deeds.

يَا مَوَالِيَّ هٰذَا يَوْمُكُمْ
ya mawaliyya hadha yawmukum
O my Masters! Today is your day,

وَهُوَ يَوْمُ ٱلثُّلاَثَاءِ
wa huwa yawmu alththulatha'i
which is Tuesday,

وَأَنَا فِيهِ ضَيْفٌ لَكُمْ
wa ana fihi dayfun lakum
and on this day, I am your guest

وَمُسْتَجِيرٌ بِكُمْ
wa mustajirun bikum
and I am in your vicinity;

فَأَضِيفُونِي وَأَجِيرُونِي
fa-adifuni wa ajiruni
so, receive me as your guest and treat me as your neighbor,

بِمَنْزِلَةِ ٱللَّهِ عِنْدَكُمْ
bimanzilati allahi `indakum
[I ask you] by Allah’s standing with you

وَآلِ بَيْتِكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرينَ
wa ali baytikumu alttayyibina alttahirina
and with your Household, the pure and immaculate.


Tasbih | Isteaz


بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ‏
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent and Merciful

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي عُلُوِّهِ دَانٍ
Glory be to Him Who is nigh in His sublimity,

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي دُنُوِّهِ عَالٍ
Glory be to Him Who is Sublime in His nearness,

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي إِشْرَاقِهِ مُنِيرٌ
Glory be to Him who is Brilliant in His glow.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ قَوِيٌّ
Glory be to Him who is Powerful in His (absolute) authority!

سُبْحَانَ الْحَلِيمِ الْجَمِيلِ
Glory be to, The forbearing and Graceful.

سُبْحَانَ الْغَنِيِّ الْحَمِيدِ
Glory be to, The All-Sufficient and Praised.

سُبْحَانَ الْوَاسِعِ الْعَلِيِّ
Glory be to, The highest and Immense.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يَكْشِفُ الضُّرَّ
Glory be to Him who removes the Grief.

وَ هُوَ الدَّائِمُ الصَّمَدُ الْفَرْدُ الْقَدِيمُ
And He is; The everlasting, eternal, Sempiternal and Unique.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ عَلَا فِي الْهَوَاءِ
Glory be to him who exalted in the air.

سُبْحَانَ الْحَيِّ الرَّفِيعِ
Glory be to, The eminent and Ever-living!

سُبْحَانَ الْحَيِّ الْقَيُّومِ
Glory be to the Living, the Self-Subsistent.

سُبْحَانَ الدَّائِمِ الْبَاقِي الَّذِي لَا يَزُولُ
Glory be to the Remaining, the Perpetual; Who isn't endless!

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا يَنْقُصُ خَزَائِنُهُ
Glory be to Him who nothing decreases His treasure!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَنْفَدُ مَا عِنْدَهُ
Glory be to Him Whose possessions never run out.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا تَبِيدُ مَعَالِمُهُ
Glory be to Him Whose signs never perish.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يُشَاوِرُ فِي أَمْرِهِ أَحَداً
Glory be to Him Who never betakes to Himself a partner in His affairs.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ
Glory be to Him except Whom there is no god.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
Glory be to the Highest, the Incomparably Great.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ
Glory be to Allah, and in praise of Him.

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْعِزِّ الشَّامِخِ الْمُبِينِ
Glory be to the Possessor of Grandeur, High Respect.

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ الْفَاخِرِ الْقَدِيمِ
Glory be to Allah, The Possessor of eternal, superior Manifest.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي عُلُوِّهِ دَانٍَ
Glory be to Allah, Who is; nigh in His sublimity,

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ] وَ فِي دُنُوِّهِ عَالٍ]
Sublime in His nearness,

وَ فِي إِشْرَاقِهِ مُنِيرٌ وَ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ قَوِيٌّ
Brilliant in His glow, and Powerful in His (absolute) authority!

وَ فِي مُلْكِهِ دَائِمٌ
And is Everlasting in His Kingdom!

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّهِ‏ وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ‏
Allah's blessings be upon His Messenger, our Master Muhammed, and his immaculate household.

Seek Protection

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ‏
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate.

أُعِيذُ نَفْسِي بِاللهِ الْأَكْبَرِ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ الْقَائِمَاتِ بِلَا عَمْدٍ
I seek protection for myself in Allah, the Great, the Lord of the upright heavens,

وَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَهَا فِي يَوْمَيْنِ‏ وَ قَضَى‏ فِي كُلِّ سَماءٍ أَمْرَها وَ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ‏ وَ قَدَّرَ فِيها أَقْواتَها
and He Who created them in two days and determined affairs throughout all of them; heavens created the earth and determined in it its sustenance.

وَ جَعَلَ فِيهَا جِبِالًا أَوْتَاداً وَ جَعَلَهَا فِجاجاً سُبُلًا
Made in its mountains and set in ravines to serve as ways.

وَ أَنْشَأَ السَّحَابَ وَ سَخَّرَهُ
Produced the heavy clouds, making it subservient,

وَ أَجْرَى الْفُلْكَ وَ سَخَّرَ الْبَحْرَ
made the ships sail, made subservient the sea,

وَ جَعَلَ فِي الْأَرْضِ‏ رَواسِيَ وَ أَنْهاراً
and made in the earth mountains and rivers;

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا يَكُونُ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ
from the evil of what is in the night and the day

وَ تَعْقِدُ عَلَيْهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَ تَرَاهُ الْعُيُونُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ
and entangles the hearts, which the eyes of jinn and humankind see.

كَفَانَا اللهُ كَفَانَا اللهُ كَفَانَا اللهُ
Allah protects us, Allah protects us, Allah protects us,

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ
there is no god save Allah,

مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً كَثِيرا
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, blessings of Allah be on him and his family.

SALAATS
Prayer for Tuesday 1
The prayer for this day is two rakats. In every rakat after Surah Hamd recite Surah Teen, Surah Tawheed, Surah Falaq and Surah Nass once each.

Prayer for Tuesday 2
that one who recites six rakats prayer on Tuesday and in every rakat after Surah Hamd recites (last 2 verses of Sura 2) the ayat of Aamannar Rasool... till the end of Surah Baqarah and Surah Zilzaal once the Almighty would forgive his sins. And would purify him from sins like when he was born.
Imam al-Hasan al-`Askari (peace be upon him) is also reported to have said that whoever offers on Tuesdays a six unit prayer; reciting in each unit Surah al-Fatihah, the last two verses ( 285, 286) of Surah al-Baqarah (i.e. amana al-rassulu…), and Surah al-Zalzalah, Almighty Allah will forgive all of his sin as if his mother has just given birth to him. This prayer is also narrated from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.)

آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ ‎﴿٢٨٥﴾‏ لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ ‎﴿٢٨٦﴾‏

Dua for the night

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ‏
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

‏ سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
Glory be to You our God; to You belongs the praise.

أَنْتَ اللهُ الْغَنِيُّ الدَّائِمُ [الْمُلْكِ‏] الْمَلِكُ
You are Allah, the Independent, the Everlasting, and the King.

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ إِلَهٌ لَا تَخْتَرِمُ الْأَيَّامُ مُلْكَكَ
I bear witness that You are the God Whose kingdom cannot be destroyed,

وَ لَا تُغَيِّرُ الْآثَامُ عِزَّكَ
and sins can not change Your superiority!

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَ لَا رَبَّ سِوَاكَ
There is no god save You, You alone, with no associate, no other God than You.

وَ لَا خَالِقَ غَيْرُكَ
And there is no creator but You

أَنْتَ‏ خالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ خَلْقُكَ
And the Creator of all things and everything is Your creation!

وَ أَنْتَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ عَبْدُكَ
You are Lord of all things, and everything is Your Worshippers!

وَ أَنْتَ إِلَهُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ يَعْبُدُكَ
You are the God of everything and everything; worships You,

وَ يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَ يَسْجُدُ لَكَ
celebrates Your praise, and prostrate to You;

فَسُبْحَانَكَ بِحَمْدِكَ
therefore, praise and glory be to You

تَبَارَكَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ الْحُسْنَى كُلُّهَا
and blessed be Your all Most Excellent Names!

إِلَهاً مَعْبُوداً فِي جَلَالِ عَظَمَتِكَ وَ كِبْرِيَائِكَ
A worshiped God in You majestic greatness and grandeur;

وَ تَعَالَيْتَ مَلِكاً جَبَّاراً فِي وَقَارِ عِزَّةِ مُلْكِكَ
exalted mighty king in Your self-glory solemnity Kingdom.

وَ تَقَدَّسْتَ رَبّاً مَعْبُوداً [مَنْعُوتاً] فِي تَأْبِيدِ
And hallowed worshipped God; in Your eternal mighty authority.

مَنَعَةِ سُلْطَانِكَ وَ ارْتَفَعْتَ إِلَهاً قَاهِراً فَوْقَ مَلَكُوتِ عَرْشِكَ
Exalted conquering God You are, upon Your kingdom throne,

وَ عَلَوْتَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ بِارْتِفَاعِكَ
You surpassed everything with Your highness,

وَ أَنْفَذْتَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ بَصَرَكَ
and Your vision goes through everything.

وَ لَطُفَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ خُبْرُكَ
Your awareness is delicate to everything;

وَ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ عِلْمُكَ
Your knowledge surrounds everything,

وَ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ حِفْظُكَ
Your protection is capable for everything,

وَ حَفِظَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ كِتَابُكَ
and everything is safeguarded in Your Book.

وَ مَلَأَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ نُورُكَ
Your light has fulfilled everywhere;

وَ قَهَرَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ مُلْكُكَ
Your authority has conquered everything.

وَ عَدَلَ فِي كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ حُكْمُكَ
Your judgment is fair in everything;

وَ خَافَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ
everything fears Your wrath,

وَ دَخَلَتْ فِي كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ مَهَابَتُكَ
and Your veneration has stepped in everything.

[ إِلَهِي مِنْ مَخَافَتِكَ [وَ بَأْسِكَ‏
O, My Lord, through Your fear, severity,

وَ تَأْيِيدِكَ قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ
and approval has the heavens, earth,

وَ مَا فِيهِنَ‏ مِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ طَاعَةً لَكَ
and what are in them stood up to You with obedience,

وَ خَوْفاً مِنْ مَقَامِكَ وَ خَشْيَتِكَ
frightening Your Place, and fearing You.

فَتَقَارَّ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ فِي قَرَارِهِ
So determined is everything in Your decision;

وَ انْتَهَى كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ إِلَى أَمْرِكَ
everything ended out to Your command.

وَ مِنْ شِدَّةِ جَبَرُوتِكَ وَ عِزَّتِكَ
Through The intensity of Your might and honor,

انْقَادَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِمُلْكِكَ
everything yields to Your authority,

وَ ذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ بِسُلْطَانِكَ
and all things are dwarfed in the presence of Your sovereignty.

وَ مِنْ غِنَاكَ وَ سَعَتِكَ افْتَقَرَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ إِلَيْكَ
Through Your generosity and broad benevolence, everything requires You

فَكُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ يَعِيشُ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ
because everything is living upon Your sustenance

وَ مِنْ عُلُوِّ مَكَانِكَ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ عَلَوْتَ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ
Your ability makes You above everything of Your creation from Your highest place.

أَسْفَلُ مِنْكَ تَقْضِي فِيهِمْ بِحُكْمِكَ
Your judgment decides on everything below You,

وَ تَجْرِي الْمَقَادِيرُ فِيهِمْ بَيْنَهُمْ
and by Your will, their destinies run among them;

بِمَشِيَّتِكَ مَا قَدَّمْتَ مِنْهَا لَمْ يَسْبِقْكَ
what You offered of it didn't pass You,

وَ مَا أَخَّرْتَ مِنْهَا لَمْ يُعْجِزْكَ
what You delayed of it didn't make You powerless,

وَ مَا أَمْضَيْتَ مِنْهَا أَمْضَيْتَهُ بِحُكْمِكَ وَ عِلْمِكَ
and what You accomplished of it is being accomplished by Your judgment and knowledge.

سُبْحَانَكَ وَ بِحَمْدِكَ
Glory and praise be to You;

تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
blessed You are our Lord, and sublime is Your Praise!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ
Your; Servant, Messenger, and Prophet

وَ آثِرْهُ بِصَفْوِ كَرَامَتِكَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ
prefer him with the elite charismata upon all Your creations

وَ اخْصُصْهُ بِأَفْضَلِ الْفَضَائِلِ مِنْكَ
and grant him with the best merits from You.

وَ بَلِّغْ بِهِ [بَلِّغْهُ‏] أَفْضَلَ مَحَلِّ الْمُكَرَّمِينَ
Get him to achieve; the best place of the honored ones,

وَ أَشْرَفَ رَحْمَتِكَ فِي شَرَفِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
the noblest mercy among the closest companions nobility,

وَ الدَّرَجَةَ الْعُلْيَا مِنَ الْأَعْلَيْنَ
and the highest degree among the superiors.

اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ بِهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فِي الرِّفْعَةِ مِنْكَ وَ الْفَضِيلَةِ
O, Allah, get him to raise his status to reach Paradise in exaltation from You and excellence.

وَ أَدِمْ بِأَفْضَلِ الْكَرَامَةِ
And carry on his phase with the best honor

زُلْفَتَهُ حَتَّى تُتِمَّ النِّعْمَةَ عَلَيْهِ
until the blesses are fulfilled upon him,

وَ تُطَوِّلَ ذِكْرَ الْخَلَائِقِ لَهُ
his remembrance upon the created beings extended,

وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ رُفَقَائِهِ‏ عَلى‏ سُرُرٍ مُتَقابِلِينَ مَعَ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ
and make us from his company; face to face on couches with our father, Ibrahim.

آمِينَ إِلَهَ الْحَقِّ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
May it be so; O, Allah of Truth and Lord of the worlds.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَهُ عَلَى مُوسَى فِي الْأَلْوَاحِ
O Allah, I, verily, beseech You by Your Name that has been revealed upon Musa on the tablets.

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي وَضَعْتَهُ
I beseech You, by Your name that got placed

عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ فَاسْتَقَلَّتْ
on the; skies thereupon are settled on,

وَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَاسْتَقَرَّتْ وَ عَلَى الْجِبَالِ فَأَرْسَتْ
earth established, and mountains steadied.

وَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ نَبِيِّكَ
And for the sake of Muhammad, Allah's blessing upon him and his Household; Your Prophet,

وَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِكَ وَ مُوسَى نَجِيِّكَ
Ibraham; Your intimate friend, Musa; Your survivor

وَ عِيسَى كَلِمَتِكَ وَ رُوحِكَ
and Issa; Your word and spirit.

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِتَوْرَاةِ مُوسَى وَ إِنْجِيلِ عِيسَى
And I beseech You by the; Torah of Musa, Gospel of Issa,

وَ زَبُورِ دَاوُدَ وَ قُرْآنِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَنْبِيَائِكَ
Psalms of Dawood, and Muhammed's blessings of Allah upon him and his Household Quraan, peace be upon them and all the Prophets.

وَ بِكُلِّ وَحْيٍ أَوْحَيْتَهُ وَ قَضَاءٍ قَضَيْتَهُ
And by every; revelation You did, fulfillment You completed

وَ كِتَابٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ
and a book You has sent down;

يَا إِلَهَ الْحَقِّ الْمُبِينِ وَ النُّورِ الْمُنِيرِ
O, God of the Truth that makes all things manifest and The luminous light;

أَنْ تُتِمُّ النِّعْمَةَ عَلَيَّ
fulfill the grace upon me

وَ تُحْسِنَ لِيَ الْعَاقِبَةَ [الْعَافِيَةَ] فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا
and aid me in the outcome (wellness) in all things.

فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ
I am only Your servant and the son of Your servant;

نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ أَتَقَلَّبُ فِي قَبْضَتِكَ
my forelock is in Your grasp, and I turn living under Your control.

غَيْرَ مُعْجِزٍ وَ لَا مُمْتَنِعٍ عَجَزْتُ عَنْ نَفْسِي
Not miraculous nor refusing; incapable before myself,

وَ عَجَزَ النَّاسُ عَنِّي
and people are incapable of me.

فَلَا عَشِيرَةَ تَكْفِينِي وَ لَا مَالَ يَفْدِينِي
Therefore, there is not a tribe that is enough for me,

وَ لَا عَمَلَ يُنْجِينِي وَ لَا قُوَّةَ لِي فَأَنْتَصِرَ
a work that can make me survive; neither power for me to win,

وَ لَا أَنَا بَرِي‏ءٌ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ
and I am not innocent of the sins.

فَأَعْتَذِرَ وَ عَظُمَ ذَنْبِي فَلْيَسَعْ عَفْوُكَ لِمَغْفِرَتِي اللَّيْلَةَ بِمَا وَأَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ
So I apologize; my sin is much greater thereupon I seek Your pardon tonight to forgive me in the name of that You have made incumbent upon Yourself.

وَ ارْزُقْنِي الْقُوَّةَ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي
And grant me; the power as long as You keep me,

وَ الْإِصْلَاحَ مَا أَحْيَيْتَنِي
the reform as long as You keep me alive,

وَ الْعَوْنَ عَلَى مَا حَمَّلْتَنِي
the help upon what You placed on me,

وَ الصَّبْرَ عَلَى مَا أَبْلَيْتَنِي
the patience in Your trying me,

وَ الشُّكْرَ فِيمَا آتَيْتَنِي
the thankfulness in what You conferred upon me,

وَ الْبَرَكَةَ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي
and blessing in what you bestow upon me.

اللَّهُمَّ لَقِّنِّي حُجَّتِي يَوْمَ الْمَمَاتِ
O, Lord, dictate to me the principles of faith on the Day of Death

وَ لَا تُرِنِي عَمَلِي حَسَرَاتٍ
and, do not make me see my deeds in regret,

وَ لَا تَفْضَحْنِي بِسَرِيرَتِي يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ
do not disgrace me through my secret thoughts on the day of Your meeting,

وَ لَا تُخْزِنِي بِسَيِّئَاتِي وَ بِبَلَائِكَ عِنْدَ قَضَائِكَ
do not make me ashamed of my evil deeds and Your afflictions when You are deciding.

وَ أَصْلِحْ مَا بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَكَ
And do reform conditions in between You and me,

وَ اجْعَلْ هَوَايَ فِي تَقْوَاكَ
assign my love in Your piety,

وَ اكْفِنِي هَوْلَ الْمُطَّلَعِ وَ مَا أَهَمَّنِي
spare me the time of the narration; what concerned me

وَ مَا لَمْ يُهِمَّنِي مِمَّا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي
nor did not concern me in this world and the next which You knowest more than I,

وَ أَعِنِّي عَلَى مَا غَلَبَنِي وَ مَا لَمْ يَغْلِبْنِي
help me encounter what defeated me and what did not;

فَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ بِيَدِكَ يَا رَبِّ
because all that is in Your hand, O, Lord!

فَاكْفِنِي وَ اهْدِنِي وَ أَصْلِحْ بَالِي
Therefore, secure me, guide me, reform my condition,

وَ أَدْخِلْنِي الْجَنَّةَ عَرِّفْهَا لِي
admit me to Paradise, and make it known for me.

وَ أَلْحِقْنِي بِالَّذِينَ هُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي
And make me come upon those who are superior to me

وَ ارْزُقْنِي مُرَافَقَةَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ
and, grant me the company of the; prophets, the truthful one,

وَ الشُّهَداءِ وَ الصَّالِحِينَ
martyrs, righteous ones

وَ حَسُنَ أُولئِكَ رَفِيقاً
and a goodly company are they.

أَنْتَ إِلَهُ الْحَقِّ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
You are indeed God of truth, Lord of the worlds;

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا رَسُولِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ
blessings of Allah may be upon our Master Muhammed, the Prophet,

وَ آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً
And his good and pure Household, and may He spread thorough blessings over them.
