UNDERSTAND Importance Urdu lecture b'esat mp3 | ABTV program Article on the state of Prophet on the day
The Day of Mab'ath, celebrated on the Rajab 27, is indeed the formal appointment as the Last and Greatest Divine Messenger of the person whose light God had created as the first ever creation eons ago when nothing had yet come into existence.
This is an occasion which stands for the beginning of the Holy Prophets Mission of promulgating the true religion of Almighty Allah (swt).
On this day, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his household) was appointed for conveying the Divine Mission of Almighty Allah when Archangel Gabriel first came to him with the Divine Revelation.
It is recommended to have Ghusl (bath) on this day & observe Fasting. This day is one of the four days that are specified for highly recommended fasting during the whole year. The reward of observing fasting on this day is mentioned to be equal to seventy years fasting.
It is recommended to repeat very frequently the salwat ie sending blessings upon Prophet Muhammad and his Household.:-
O Allah, (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad. |
Allhumma alli `al muammadin wa li muammadin |

and choose for us the best resting-place with You, |
fi zillin zalilin |
under a dense shade |

and abundant possession. |

Surely, You are Sufficient for us! Most Excellent are You, and in You do we trust! |

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina |
out of Your mercy; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy. |
allahumma inni as-aluka bi`azaimi maghfiratika |
O Allah: I earnestly beseech You, in the name of the matters that bring about Your forgiveness |

wa talaba ilayka alttalibuna wa talabtu ilayka |

allahumma anta alththiqatu wal-rrajau |
O Allah: You are (my) trust and hope; |

and expansive sustenance that is neither failing nor banned. So, please provide me sustenance |
wa barik li fima razaqtani |
and bless that which You decide for me, |
waj`al ghinaiya fi nafsi |
and make me self-sufficient, |

wa`tamadtu `alayka bimas-alati |
And I depend upon You in submitting my problem. |
wa tawajjhtu ilayka bi-aimmaty wa sadati |
And I submit before You my Imams and Masters. |

5-Shaykh al-tusy has also reported a similar prayer :Abul-Qasim Husayn ibn Ruh may Allah have mercy upon him as saying, On this day, you may offer a prayer consisting of twelve Rak`ahs at each of which you may recite Surah of al-Fatihah and any other Surah.
After each couple of Rak`ahs, you may say the following:- Mp3

wa `da alssdqi alladhy kanu yu`aduna |
the promise of truth which they were promised. |
When you finish the prayer, you should recite Surahs of al-Fatihah, al-Tawhid, al-Falaq, al-Nas, al-Kafirun, al-Qadr, and Ayat al-Kursiy seven times. You should then repeat the following seven times:
لا إلهَ إلاَّ اللّهُ، |
la ilaha illa allahu |
There is no god save Allah; |
wallahu akbaru |
Allah is the Most Great; |
wa subhana allahi |
Glory be to Allah; |
wa lahawla wa la quwwata illa billahi |
and there is neither might nor power save with Allah. |
You should then say the following seven times:
Allah, Allah is my Lord. I associate none with Him. |
allahu allahu rabby la ushriku bihi shayan |
After that, you may submit your needs.
As is mentioned in Iqbal al-A`mal and some manuscripts of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, it is recommended to recite the following supplication on this day:
This supplication, which is one of the excellent supplications of Rajab, was recited by Imam Musa ibn Ja`far al-Kazim (a.s) on the day when the ruling authorities took him to Baghdad. That day was the twenty-seventh of Rajab

(please do) forgive me and overlook (my evildoings) O the All-generous. |

wa a`lamu annka lida`ika bimawi`i ijabatin |
I also know that You are in the position of response for him who beseeches You, |
wa lilssarikhi ilayka bimarsadi ighathatin |
and in the position of relief for him who resorts to You, |

and suffice from that which is grasped by the mean ones. |
wa annka la tahtajibu `an khalqika |
And [I know for sure] that You never screen Yourself against Your beings |
illa an tahjubahumu ala`malu dunaka |
but it is their evildoings that prevent them from journeying toward You. |

I have also known for sure that the best provisions of his who intends to travel to You is a true willpower by which He chooses You among others. |

May Allah bless and exalt Muhammad and his Household. |
7. is mentioned in Iqbal al-A`mal, it is recommended to also recite the supplication of the 27th Rajab night given above in the day as well.
Understand the greatness of the night and day of the 27thof Rajab.source www.al-mubin.org
The most important thing that can be done on this
day is to Understand the
greatness of the night and day of the 27th of Rajab.
There is no person greater or higher in rank than the Messenger of Allah
(blessings of Allah be upon him and his
progeny). He is the leader of all of the creations and the noblest and closest
of all of them to Allah (Glorified and
Exalted is He) and the most beloved of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He)!
It is the Prophet Muhammad (blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) who
is: The First Nur, The Closest
Hijab (to Allah), The Greatest Name (of Allah) and there is not a single Prophet
or Angel who can even come close
to this station. He is also the Mercy to all the Worlds. Therefore, if we see
the greatness of an individual and his
nobility then we can realize the importance of the day of his official
appointment. It is because of this reason that
the importance of giving the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his
progeny) his right is even more
important for the Ummah and the Shi`a just as our intelligence dictates.
Just think about what has been said do we accept this? If we accept it then we
must take this day seriously and
there is nothing else that needs to be said to encourage anyone about this day.
Since goodness in itself should
pull and attract one to that which is recommended to be done on this day. If
what has been said is not accepted,
then either we are out of the folds of Islam or our hearts must be corrected so
that we can permit Iman (true faith)
to enter it.
However, we suspect that the majority of Muslims who fall short and do not
recognize the importance and
greatness of this day is not because they do not have faith may Allah protect
us from this rather, it is due to
being immersed and engrossed in the beauties and attractions of this despicable
world and being deluded by it.
We are so busy in competing with one another to gain material pleasures that we
are completely oblivious of
everything else and when the time comes that we see our grave in front of us,
will we remain in this state of
heedlessness! The remembrance of this world has caused the hearts of such people
to be negligent of the
remembrance of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and to forget their creation
and their eventual end.
In summary, the Salik (the one who is spiritually traveling towards Allah) must
sincerely try to consider this day
as something great and seek to understand and appreciate the blessings of the
official appointment and the
blessing of the divine light (nur) and all the blessings that the Prophet of Islam
(blessings of Allah be upon him
and his progeny) has brought including the happiness and goodness - just as he
deserves to be understood and
appreciated.
We must all look into ourselves and gauge our own happiness on this day. If we
see that our happiness and
pleasure is the same on this day or more as it is on other days for worldly
events and pleasures, then we know
that our soul is polluted and we must try to correct it and strive to remove the
animalistic traits in us we must
try to distance ourselves from the natural world and its pleasures and move
closer to the spiritual world and its
divine light (nur).
In closing we mention one final point in regards to
this day and that is that after these supplications are finished,
we should sit back and think about the days of Ignorance before the Bi`that of
the Prophet and see what a state
mankind had reached to.
A group of people were Jews; another group Christians; and yet others were idol
worshippers. The laws of Islam
had been forgotten; people had lost the etiquette of humanity and acted as wild
animals. The people had reached
to such a low state that they used to bury their new born daughters alive. They
took pride in vain talk and
activities; did not practice justice in the least and took the rights of other
people around them. The strong were
subjecting the weak to oppression such that they destroyed the worth and dignity
of a person. They hated
Scholars and were weary of intelligent people. They took pride in keeping
slaves. The broke off all family
relations, were busy in gambling and drinking alcohol and were constantly at war
with one another. Self
gratification and pride were their characteristics and they boasted of being
impatient people! Cursing and evil
words were common place and vain talk, including lies, back biting, etc were
the norm. They killed the
Prophets and their successors and helpers, and in their place they permitted the
lowest amongst themselves to
lead the society!
In such an environment did Allah raise a Prophet for the task of, as it is
mentioned in the Quran: It is He who has
sent to the illiterate a Messenger from among their own people to recite to them
His revelations and purify them.
He will teach the Book to them Wisdom even though before this they were in
manifest error.
Insha-Allah, may Allah accept all of our acts of worship on this day and all
days of the months of Rajab, Sha`ban
ABTV Click here to watch the short lesson
jjid has written that Imam Muhammad Taqi (`a) was quoted as saying, "Verily, there is a night in the month of Rajab, which surpasses what the sun shines on; it is the 26th night of Rajab that in its (coming) morning Prophet Muhammad (s) was sent on prophetic mission. Verily, every Shiite (our follower) who observes the practices of this night will be rewarded what equals the reward of sixty years of worship." The Imam was asked, "What is the practice of this night?" He replied, "When you say Night Prayer (`Isha), try to wake up anytime you like before midnight in case you have slept. Then say twelve rak`ats of prayer reciting in any of them the surah of al-Fatihah (I) and another short surah ranging between the surah of Muhammad (XLVII) and the last surah of the Holy Qur'an. Upon bidding salutation at the end of each couple of rak`ats and getting through with the prayer, one should remain in sitting position and recite the surahs of al-Fatihah (I), al-Nas (CXIV), al-Falaq (CXIII), al-Tawhid (CXII), al-Kafiroun (CIX), and al-Qadr (XCVII) and also Ayat al-Kursi (II, 255-7) seven times each.
Then say the following: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ Praise be to Allah who has not taken unto Himself a son, has no partner in the sovereignty,
وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً nor has He any protecting friend through dependence. And (all) magnify Him with all magnificence.
O Allah I beseech Thee in the name of the hard to understand matters concerning Thy power and authority, carried out from the base of Thy Arsh; (in the name of) the infinite mercy in Thy Book,
Thy Great, Greater, Greatest, Name", Thy "High, Higher, Highest Glory",
وَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّاتِ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِي مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ and in the name of Thy whole, complete and perfect Words, to send blessings on Muhammad and on his children, and to do for me that which is equal to Thy (all-competent) worth iness.
Then recite any du`a you wish. It is also recommended to bathe oneself at this night. It is worth reminding that a prayer that is advisably offered at this night has been mentioned with the rites of the fifteenth night of Rajab.
