اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا خُزَّانَ عِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ

alssal¡mu `alaykum y¡ khuzz¡na `ilmi all¡hi

Peace be on you, O depositories of Allah’s knowledge!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا تَرَاجِمَةَ وَحْيِ ٱللَّهِ

alssal¡mu `alaykum y¡ tar¡jimata wa¦yi all¡hi

Peace be on you, O interpreters of Allah’s Revelation!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا ائِمَّةَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

alssal¡mu `alaykum y¡ a'immata alhud¡

Peace be on you, O leaders to true guidance!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اعْلاَمَ ٱلتُّقَىٰ

alssal¡mu `alaykum y¡ a`l¡ma alttuq¡

Peace be on you, O signs of piety!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اوْلاَدَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

alssal¡mu `alaykum y¡ awl¡da ras£li all¡hi

Peace be on you, O descendants of Allah’s Messenger!

انَا عَارِفٌ بِحَقِّكُمْ

an¡ `¡rifun bi¦aqqikum

I recognize your rights,

مُسْتَبْصِرٌ بِشَاْنِكُمْ

mustab¥irun bisha'nikum

I discernibly acknowledge your true standing,

مُعَادٍ لاعْدَائِكُمْ

mu`¡din li-a`d¡'ikum

I incur the hostility of your enemies,

مُوَالٍ لاوْلِيَائِكُمْ

muw¡lin li-awliy¡'ikum

and I show loyalty to your loyalists.

بِابِي انْتُمْ وَامِّي

bi-aby antum wa umm¢

May Allah accept me, my father, and mother as ransoms for you!

صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ

¥alaw¡tu all¡hi `alaykum

Blessings of Allah be upon you.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اتَوَالَىٰ آخِرَهُمْ كَمَا تَوَالَيْتُ اوَّلَهُمْ

all¡humma inn¢ ataw¡l¡ ¡khirahum kam¡ taw¡laytu awwalahum

O Allah, I am willingly showing loyalty to the last of them just as I have shown loyalty to the first of them,

وَابْرَا مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيجَةٍ دُونَهُمْ

wa abra'u min kulli wal¢jatin d£nahum

I release myself from any confidant other than them,

وَاكْفُرُ بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّاغُوتِ وَٱللاَّتِ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ

wa akfuru biljibti wal§§¡gh£ti wall¡ti wal`uzz¡

and I reject all idols, false deities, al-L¡t, and al-`Uzz¡.

صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَوَالِيَّ

¥alaw¡tu all¡hi `alaykum y¡ maw¡liyya

Blessings of Allah be upon you, O my Masters!

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

wa ra¦matu all¡hi wa barak¡tuh£

Mercy of Allah and His benedictions be upon you, too.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ ٱلْعَابِدِينَ وَسُلاَلَةَ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ

alssal¡mu `alayka y¡ sayyida al`¡bid¢na wa sul¡lata alwa¥iyy¢na

Peace be upon you, O master of the worshippers and descendant of the Prophets’ successors.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَاقِرَ عِلْمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ

alssal¡mu `alayka y¡ b¡qira `ilmi alnnabiyy¢na

Peace be upon you, O he who split open the knowledge of the Prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَادِقاً مُصَدِّقاً فِي ٱلْقَوْلِ وَٱلْفِعْلِ

alssal¡mu `alayka y¡ ¥¡diqan mu¥addaqan f¢ alqawli walfi`li

Peace be upon you, O veracious and honest in all [your] words and deeds.

يَا مَوَالِيَّ هٰذَا يَوْمُكُمْ

y¡ maw¡liyya h¡dh¡ yawmukum

O my Masters! Today is your day,

وَهُوَ يَوْمُ ٱلثُّلاَثَاءِ

wa huwa yawmu alththul¡th¡'i

which is Tuesday,

وَانَا فِيهِ ضَيْفٌ لَكُمْ

wa an¡ f¢hi ¤ayfun lakum

and on this day, I am your guest

وَمُسْتَجِيرٌ بِكُمْ

wa mustaj¢run bikum

and I am in your vicinity;

فَاضِيفُونِي وَاجِيرُونِي

fa-a¤¢f£n¢ wa aj¢r£n¢

so, receive me as your guest and treat me as your neighbor,

بِمَنْزِلَةِ ٱللَّهِ عِنْدَكُمْ

bimanzilati all¡hi `indakum

[I ask you] by Allah’s standing with you

وَآلِ بَيْتِكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرينَ

wa ¡li baytikumu al§§ayyib¢na al§§¡hir¢na

and with your Household, the pure and immaculate.
